  Error 0 x 00000709... I get this message because I bought a new laptop printer a canon IP100.   My computer won't let me not choose as a default printer at all and it comes up with this message:

  I had trouble terrible., the only way I was able to use it is to remove the other printer but then again used I would have like a detauls.

  3. Click on the tab Advanced settings .

  First thing I would try is to restart everything. Unplug the printer and let that he unplugged for a minute. Then unplug the router for a few seconds then plug it back. Wait for your router to get booted back completely (when your internet connection works again), then plug the printer back in. Check the printer settings to make sure that its still connected to your wireless network. Sometimes, a good old fashioned reboot will help like that connectivity issues. In addition, depending on which printer you have, it can help to "check for updates". You can go to 'setup' > 'Web Services' > 'Product updates' > 'Check updates' and let it install the updates.

  I'm a little confused abouut your problem. you try to RUN the software and complete functionality to your direct printer from the Hp Web site? If so, Hp does not recommend this process.

  Better to save full feature software and driver first before installing because by clicking RUN directly connected to the internet, you will have a problem to install - some will get instaalation error-corrupted files.

  Pls. click the download button and save it to your desktop.

  Also, before you install it, also try a different USB port on the computer, disable any third-party software on your computer like antivirus, firewalls and spyware because it could block some of the drivers for your printer specifically for scanning. Re-enale the protection again after installation.

  If still not detected, you can try inserting a USB stick to the USB port on your computer. If it works, doesn't mean no problem with the USB PORT.

  TRY THIS ONE, if you are using windows, go to device manager look for the USB if you have a yellow caution icon trhat brand-right click and select put updated driver or select Properties, and then click Properties window simply select Update driver - let windows search the driver online.

  Then try to reinstall, if not solved try this one:

  b. now, click Add Printer.
  c. Select Add a local printer and click create a new port.
  d. Select Local Port and click Next.
  e. type in "[\\computer name\printer name]"(sans les guillemets) for the Port name and click OK. ""
  f. follow the instructions to complete the installation. During the installation, when you are prompted to choose a good driver; Click the "disk".
