LaserJet p1505 for connection wireless printing

I have a Laserjet P1505 (not 1505n) a Net Gear N600 dual band Router router with USB port and printer. I tried to connect the printer USB cable to the USB port on the router and installed the printer on the laptop (a Windows Vista) I'm trying to save up for a wireless printing capability. The updated drivers from HP Web site, set to turn on printer 'sharing' but the printer does not appear in the network and sharing Center. Have directly connect the printer USB cable to the computer laptop USB port to print from the laptop.

I missed something or cannot print via the router P1505 (without the "n")?

Thank you

I found a post where a similar problem has been resolved. The user has enough to show what he has done to help others like you. I hope this helps.

Is what brand and model of printer?

I do not work unless your new router has the same SSID and password wireless as the old. Consult your printer documentation to find out how to handle the situation. For example, some Lexmark wireless printers have a program called Configuration Utility Wireless in the Lexmark folder under all programs on the start menu that is used to set up the printer when changes are made to the wireless network.

    Hello kenc58.

I'll try and help you solve this problem for you. If you touch install you the key on the front panel of the printer to go wireless. When, in the wireless section, scroll down to the last option which is restore default network. After that, you will need to run the Wireless Setup Wizard again. The Amin password should be gone. I hope this helps.

  • LaserJet P1505: HP LaserJet p1505 cannot connect to USB 3.0

My client has an old LaserJet P1505.  When we try to connect to a USB 3.0 port... (which is the only type of USB port, the client has) a troubleshooting error appears stating that it must be inserted into a USB 2.0 port.

Y at - it an upgrade of the driver for the printer on USB 3.0 or support is the new printer in order?

Thanks for providing this information @KSM503.

Make sure you connect the USB cable directly to the ports of Surface Pro 4 and not of the docking station. Then, it should be recognized.

I have a desktop HP 4620 jet.  He was hanging in my old router.  When I tried to join software router again asked me to use a USB cord.  I do not have a such cord for this printer and want to set using the wireless, but sofeward me continues to send at the option of the cable.  The router is ATT U-verse.  I need step by step instructions on how to connect the wireless printer.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello

HP Auto Wireless automatically sets the printer without connecting it to a USB port, only if your computer is also connected wireless to the network. If your PC does not have wireless connectivity USB cable would be necessary, except if your router supports WPS.

If your PC is connected wireless to the router, restore the pritner as follows:

    1. Click on the WiFi the printer button and select restore network settings, confirm and invites.
    2. Click on the Setup (wrench) and select Tools, then restore the default settings and confirm any command prompt.
    3. Turn the printer off and turn it back on
    4. Open the HP Officejet 4620 software and follow the instructions to connect a wireless printer.

Another option would be the WPS Pin Code or button WPS, if your router supports supported such a, tap the icon on the printer wireless and select WPS or Wireless protected Setup, follow the steps on the screen, press the button of your router or a PIN code, see the documentation for your router to check the capabilities of WPS.

If none apply to your PC printer or yout, use a wireless computer connected or get a USB cable for the installation of hht, so a cable was supplied with the printer.

    Kind regards

  • Connected wireless, printer but not scan

Well I just bought the 120 want wireless printer. It is connected wireless to my Mac. It allows to print but when I try to scan it does not find my computer. I entered the printer utility and selected scanning to computer, but keep the error message it is not communicating with the printer. (Of course, it's because I can print wireless). Is there a solution to this problem. My wife is running windows and it works perfectly for her through the wireless.

I spoke to a representative from HP who went on the site of Apple and downloaded the latest version of the MAC compatible print driver. It took to connect with 4 different representatives of HP to solve the problem. I understand the difficulty, however, I think that technicians need to get on the same page. How one Tech may know exactly what to do, then the 3 others sent me in a different direction? The problem has been resolved so thanks to HP staff.

  • multi for HP7640 wireless printer networks

I have two wireless networks in my house.  One for the mandatory work for personal use.  Can (and how) I enable printing of two different networks?

You can not. They must be on the same subnet as 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254. Will not work unless you manually connect to a different network or SSID.

However to call your IT Department because they have something for you.

  • LaserJet CP1525nw: Claer'style Wireless configuration - Laserjet CP1525nw

I had to replace a router in a neighbor's House, they used the object connected wireless printer.  The new router has forced me to change the password for the connection Wireless which was previously used.  The same SSID IS used on the router again.  I tried all attempts to reset the network settings on the printer, and whenever I do, and then repeat the wireless configuration, whether through WPS, PIN or CD-ROM and USB cable, in all cases, the connection fails and in the best case said security password is wrong or in the most serious cases that the printer is NOT the CORRECT wireless network.

More bizarre, set part aside from the absence of a solution on the forums of HP, or in the manuals, is that the printer keeps picking up an odd-ball, "HPCP1525-135f8d" SSID, mode is ad hoc and the INVESTIGATION period comes up with a "fake" number that does NOT correspond to a local network, 169.254.123.35.  I've seen IP like this before on the PC NIC cards that can not connect, I think that it's some sort of IP assigned internally, not any network device.  That combined with the fake SSID, I am convinced that the printer is at the origin of these BAD configuration data.

I tried to manually set the IP address, using a reserved IP address on the router that I've set up just for this printer.  Still nothing, it fails to connect, and collects and records this bad SSID and IP.

How the h * ll get you the NVRAM on the printer to remove this IP and FORGET that SSID?

Don't tell me to re - run the installer, I tried several times, which can temporarily erase data, but by re-running the installer again collects and RECORDS the wrong configuration data.

My best guess, and another solution that cannot be found ANYWHERE, is how do you do a HARD reset printer factory?  I had about my fill of the usability of these interface software and setup of HP!

    Help!

I found this on a post above and it works for the person.  You must first connect the printer with an ethernet cable to your network router properly available ports and then follow the instructions below:

The non-taureau * beep * way to Setup your HP CP1525nw for Wireless Printing

      1. Connect the printer to your router via an ethernet cable.
      2. At this point, you will need to navigate through the LCD keys and a printer to the network installation. It is a simple menu tree that you access via clicking on the arrow buttons and clicking OK. Simply connect via Ethernet and use the DHCP protocol. It needs to connect to your network.
      3. Once the printer connects to your network, it will display its IP address on the printer's built-in LCD display.

Enter the IP address in a web browser on a computer that is on the same network. After clicking on enter you will be presented with an administration interface based on the web for your printer.

      1. Click on the tab 'network '.
      2. Click on "Wireless Network Configuration" in the options on the left.
      3. Status should be 'ON '.
Configuration method must be "join an existing network.
Name of the network is expected to present a list of available networks. Click on yours.
Authentication should be set according to your network
      4. Click on APPLY and disconnect the wired connection to the router. The little light on the front of the printer wireless flashes because it connects to your wireless router. Once the light is solid new IP address of the printer should be displayed on the built-in LCD screen.  You should now be able to connect using this ip address.
