• I can't copy and paste between documents

  I only just realized this when I went to copy a web address and paste it into a document. I know that I could copy the address but when I click on paste, paste is gray. I have not installed any software lately and I don't know that I could conduct last week... Someone has words of wisdom?

  You have Internet Explorer open? Try to close it and check whether or not you can copy and paste correctly. If you can, disable all addons Skype - click tools / manage Cog icon, Addons and then select each addon Skype and click on disable.

• Copy master pages between documents.

  Try to use

  copy

  in itself, without following parameter. In my scripts, I tell the App to do, not the document or page.

• In a paragraph style of nesting "without breakage?

  (My apologies if this has been requested and we have responded).

  Is it possible to set my body copy paragraph style to apply automatically "without interruption" for the last two words in the paragraph?

  I'm pretty good on the digitization of text in search of paragraphs that ends with a small hooked at the end Word, but it would be nice to automate it.

  Another solution would be to set a minimum word count allowed on a single line. (Not useful for subtitles!)

  I also like this one, published some time ago by another reader (sorry, I don't remember which):

  1 create a character with the single attribute being without breaking Style.

  2. create a new paragraph and in the GREP Style column, the menu drop-down Style "Style", choose the character style, that you just created.

  3. in the box "to text", enter this: {15} $

  The number in brackets (in this case 15) can be any number and represents the minimum number of characters - including spaces - appearing on the last line of a paragraph. Very convenient when you want to eliminate the orphans!

• Fonts change in between two InDesign Documents different paragraph styles.

  When I import a page of a document into another. The fonts in the paragraph styles change. They shouldn't because both documents use the exact paragraph styles and fonts. !

  This is what happens, the changes are there is one applied named style that is not the same between the two.  It could be that basic paragraph Style is defined differently (if all models are based on it), or it could be a character style.

• Importing Word documents in CS5 - matter of paragraph Style

  Hi, we import Word documents in a model of CS5, removing the Word styles brings (spend a paragraph text or body base) but the text is coming in black 100% when we have defined in InDesign that 80% and then we find that paragraph Styles will not apply properly. Does anyone else have this problem? I tried it get around by copy - paste, but it still does, especially if I copy and paste into a table.

  Check the window paragraph styles to see if you have local substitutes on the text (click in and see if the name of the style has a + next to him).   I'm working on a document where I have several text boxes on the same page. The text boxes reflect implemented different paragraph styles so that they will autopopulate in my table of contents. However, I need to add notes to this document. I find that the notes are at the end of the text box to which they apply to, and if I had to put a note in two different text boxes on the same page, both start at 1.

  Is it possible to manage notes in several text boxes? Or, if not, is it possible that I can attach my table of contents for the styles of characters instead of paragraph styles?

  Looking at your screen shot in post #2, I see no reason to require individual images. You can manage every bit of this formatting in a unique setting using the styles section to control alignment, and dashes.

• How can I move pages from one document to the other without merger of paragraph styles?

  I want to create a singular indesign file of 2 separate documents, which allows me to make an interactive PDF of it.

  However, when you move pages from one to the other, it seems that when each document has a paragraph style with the same name, they merge. The problem is that text is then adjusted if the styles do not match completely.

  Is there a way to merge the documents without any formatting changes?

  Create a Style group in each document and move all styles in this file. Give each document a different name. Do it with all kinds of styles: paragraph, character, objects, tables and Cell Styles. Then you can sort them later in the merged document what you do with these styles.

• The space between two different paragraph style

  I'm working on a book, and I would like to first of all a standard space between two paragraph styles.

  I have the paragraph of text and the reference point. I would like to put an extra space when a paragraph of text is followed by a reference point and vice versa.

  I usually do it in html with CSS, it's like

  p.text + p.citation {pad-bottom: 5px;} 
  

  My goal is to have a space between the text and citations, even if citations are multi point (and of course, without any paragraph empty additional)

  You probably need to two additional styles to represent the paragraph "first" that uses the text or styles of citation, with spacing before added, and text or reference style defined as following Style, like matches, for each, so that you can use for the first paragraph after a change. You can base teas on current styles and just add space.

• Any paragraph styles are not the same as the original document

  I use InDesign CC 9.2 x 64

  I have the document with a series of master pages and paragraph styles. I wanted to move them in a blank document, as well as a few pages of the original document.

  In the new document I loaded master pages and paragraph styles, and everything seems to be okay. I moved a few pages in the document and paragraph styles do not seem to get the same thing. It seems greater than in the original document line spacing, but I can't find what the problem is

  It's really annoying, since the point of the whole of paragraph styles, it's that they ensure consistency!

  What can go wrong with it is that the paragraphs are aligned on the grid of reference set in the preferences.
  Two different documents can have two different settings for it. Check the baseline grid in preferences and adapt one to the other setting.

  How can I automatically create paragraph and character styles in a document, InDesign CC? I'm sure that I saw a script to do this, and I'll download that later... only I can't find it now.

  The scenario is that I have a document that was created by someone else who has a lot of paragraph styles, but each has too many wrinkles on (so they are not really very useful). I'm wanting something that will go through the document and create the different styles that have been used.

  Any ideas?

  They gave me this trick to try: PerfectPrepText (http://indesignsecrets.com/perfectpreptext-a-smart-way-to-style-local-formatting.php), but could not do what I was after, unfortunately... However, he did point me in the direction of something that does the trick:

  PowerStyles (Tools of PAO - power for Adobe InDesign Styles).

  Not sure if it is still available for CC however.

• Quark can copy and paste a paragraph style

  Way back in Quark ±3 you can select text, copy this style of Pará and paste into another paragraph. You can also select a load of paragraphs then function click on a different style and it would change the selection.

  It is simple to copy styles in InDesign. Use the eyedropper tool to select the type of source by clicking on the text with the style already applied, then transition to the United Nations in text format, and click and drag on the text you want to apply the style to or just click anywhere in a paragraph and the entire paragraph will be formatted.
