Could not import all the Favorites in IE 8

Recently experienced the premature death of all new hard drive, but was able to save the files including the IE Favorites on a flash drive.  Now, try to import the Favorites in IE 8 (there are 1 500 +, separated in subfolders).  Export the main folder on the flash drive was not a problem.  How can I import the entire lot without doing each one individually?

I had a problem with Lightroom on Microsoft Surface 3.  I added a 128 gB microSD card to provide the space for my photos, (a second hard drive) but lightroom won't let me not import all the pictures that are already on the map.  The only import option is 'copy', not 'Add '.  I worked around this by mounting a network directory containing photos and imported from there.  Is it possible to stop Lightroom to see such a map as a camera?

I have not tested, but it should work with Lightroom:

I have a laptop which is under XP Pro, and who has a connection with the network.  I downloaded the driver from HP on the laptop to try to connect with the 6940, but during the install process, I get the message "Printer not found - Setup could not detect all the printers on the network."

Firewalls on both computers is disabled.

  • Could not import all of the files in Lightroom

I've been using Lightroom since Beta 3, but never meet this problem before. He apparently don't ingest photos. (I usually ingest RAW and convert to .dng but it won't let me even copy without converting them to .dng.)

I tried two readers of different cards, two different cards, with pictures (one CFDC, a SDHC), most copied photos of CF card on my desk and tried to eat there. I also have an auto import to my desktop folder (to put in the files scanned my scanner) will not import. :-( It's used to work like a charm.

I use LR v3.4.1 on a Mac Pro with 14 GB of RAM. I ran Apple disk First Aid, as well as the latest version of Diskwarrior on this hard drive: no problems found.

The photos can be viewed on both cameras, they came. I can see them in Lightroom before I attempt ingestion.

The error message that appears when I click on to ingest is: 'some import operations was made' and inside this window: 'the following files were not imported because they could not be read. (466),"then it shows the folder structure. All of the photos I am trying to import are RAW files, but those sent to my folder to auto import on the desktop of my scanner was RAW, tiff and jpeg. None would have the auto import. :-(

    Any solution for me?

Only, I have solved my problem.  For reasons that I don't understand, I didn't write permissions to the folder where to put my LR library.

To solve this (Mac)-, I selected the folder that is located at the top of my directory structure of library (in fact - at the top of the directory tree) and made a command-i.

From there on, I opened the "sharing & permissions" section and made sure that I have and reading and writing.  Then, I selected "apply to the elements included...". "in the menu of gear below and now, everything is good.

I hope this helps others who run on this issue.

  • Could not import all of the PowerPoint slides

I created a PPT presentation with 117 slides I want to import into Captivate 3. However, whenever I try to import slides PPT in Captivate file, I see that Captivate detects the first 77 slides of the presentation (40 slides are still missing). I tried to cut the PPT file into several smaller files and import each of these files separately, but whenever I get to the 77th slide, Captivate cannot import slides more (when I go to file > import > PowerPoint slides... and select the desired PPT file, it shows only a blank slide even if the PPT file in question has several slides in there).

How can I get Captivate to detect all 117 slides of my PPT presentation?

I found the answer: in the pane left of your PPT presentation, when you click on 'Preview', you can see that each slide has its own name. most of the slides have no names at all (the space next to them is just empty), however some slides are named after a specific text box, that you can find on the slide itself. It turns out the slides that Captivate has not detected that all had exactly the same name (as you might see in the section overview in the left of your presentation as pane described above). I simply deleted the names in order to could be "no-name" slides as all other slides in the presentation. It also automatically removed from the text box related on those slides, but I simply replaced those with the standard toolbar text boxes.

Summary: All the slides have different names (or blank) as seen from the Plan of your presentation for Captivate tab import correctly.

  • Why not import all my favorites?

When I try to import my IE Favorites, they fail to import & I find myself alone with an empty folder labelled "from Internet Explorer. I have the add-on EverSync installed so I can save my favorites in case something goes wrong. I have 447 bookmarks stored there, but I am only able to restore 325 of them in Firefox. This particular module also works for Chrome, and I tested it out there to see if it was the add-on. I was able to get all 447 of my favorites, so I know that this issue is not caused by this specific add-on. I'm sure that's not plugin or module associated with, but maybe I'm wrong. I use Firefox for a long time and have never experienced a problem like this before with it. I'd love to continue to use Firefox, but here the bookmark problem solved please. Thank you.

Problems with bookmarks and history does not properly can be caused by a corrupted database places.sqlite file.

You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.

  • 5 Lightroom will not import all the pictures on the card

    Hello

I use Lightroom 5 successfully for six months (Mac OS X 10.7.5 - my camera is a Canon Mark III - and I shoot in raw), and never had a problem with importing the photos. Suddenly, when I clicked import, and then click my card, vignettes on the map came yesterday, but most have been grayed out, and the program wanted to import photos select a few. I made the updated for 5 of Lightroom, but still can't get the photos to import. The same thing happens again today with a second card, and I can't uncheck / check all photos or find another way to get photos of gray to become not gray or import. I hope someone can help me quickly, because I'm running out of cards.

    Thank you.

    Thanks Catherine.

These questions are normally due to a kind of hardware malfunction.

The cards themselves may be a problem (less likely because you have used multiple cards).

The card reader could be a problem.

The USB cable connecting the card reader to the computer may also be defective (you could try another cable and see what happens).

Sometimes the USB port and the controller are may be damaged.

Something to try passing through all of the options is to copy images from the card on your system, and then try to import them into Lightroom from the hard drive and see if the problem persists.

This process is something a little test by mistake.

  • Why my LR 5.5 will not import all the images in my cards cf or external hard drive

Hello.  My Lightroom was working fine until yesterday, no problem to import anything and now nothing.  I tried to import my raw images from my cf card and I get "following images could not be imported because they could not be read" (97).  I can import directly into my outside and they are there so I know this isn't a card problem. Actually I jumped in a card that charged just fine the week last with the same images it has previously downloaded and still nothing.

I tried also to import the files in my external and a folder on the desktop.  Nothing. When I do this I get "could not copy a file at the location requested.  (883).

It's so frustrating, I have several shoots this week and need to have my back running lightroom as it was.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Work off the power of a desktop mac 10.9.3

OK - success!  What I did on the top bar I clicked on the icon for drive hard mac and he told me where the old store was and I clicked on one that I could recognize.

  • Could not import in the library of Widgets

When I try to import a widget in my library, I get the following message... "an error occurred importer library xxx unexpected format error xxx. Check if there is a newer version of muse. "the error code is sometimes 276, sometimes 309. What is going on? My copy of Muse is updated.

This isn't. I have several 2015 applications that are installed under "Latest Versions" but below this list, I have another segment under "Installed" where is my Muse. I had to make two screenshots to show you from the window of creative cloud is larger than my display area but it is all in a single window. Can't understand why the old version is not up-to-date.

  • Could not import all of a sudden

After you successfully import a picture tonight, I find that I can no longer import images into pictures.  When I click on import, the import window opens with my showing downloads folder, but is not where the image I want to import. After a few seconds, I get the spinning beachball and just can't navigate to another location or cancel import.  When I move my cursor out of the window, the beachball disappear, but I can't do anything in Photos, save Photos to quit smoking.  I tried to restart my computer, but that didn't help.

Also, try to reset your iPhone: hold the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10 to 20 seconds).

To isolate the problem on Photos or your iPhone, launch the Capture of images from your Applications folder and see if import works there.

  • Setup could not detect all the printers on the network

    Hello

I use a CP1025nw for a while now on Windows 8 Pro use Windows 7 drivers.  Today, I found that Windows 8 drivers out there so I uninstalled the version of Windows 7 and I try to install the new however have great difficulties.

The printer is connected by ethernet to the router, I can connect via the web browser without problems, printing HP Scan doctor finds the printer intermittently and the installation software can't find any.  The firewall is disabled, and of course the printer is offline, as evidenced by the web connection.

Can someone help with this frustrating problem?

    Thank you

I have the printer works now by installing the base driver and a manual installation, even Windows can not find the printer on the network despite the browser it's fine.

The procedure was to install the base driver downloaded from the HP website, add a printer, choose "my printer is not listed", select HP JetDirect port, specify the IP address of the printer and manually select the driver in the list.

I also have an ongoing case with the help of HP so no need to reply to this topic, but I will update if I hear anything that might be useful to others.

  • How to resolve the error: "lightroom could not import this catalog due to an unknown error" during an attempt of "import catalog?

I have about 400 000 pictures of so given the high number of 15 years, I had all my photos in 6 catalogues to avoid potential problems. All photos and catalogs are in a 4 TB Seagate external hard drive. I use Adobe Lightroom 5 and I use a PC with the latest Windows Office 2013.

I wanted to have a NEW catalogue of all my rated 1 star + photos of all years in a single catalog. So I created this I called Catalog + Star and told me the best option is to import a catalog at a time, and because there is no way to filter import them just photos now, I would like to import all the photos and then delete all the photos of UnStared. I did for the catalog of the year 2014, but in the end gave me the message: "lightroom could not import this catalog because of an unknown error. He had in fact imported about 40 k pictures of about 50 k total. I tried again and again and each time I end up with the same thing. I created a new another catalog and looked from scratch and the same ting happened: EXACT 40 k photos or JUST have been imported and others were not! When I imported catalog year 2013 of about 45 photos of k, it worked perfectly. But when I imported catalog year 2012 35 k photos, it's the same thing!

All the tips: 1) on how to solve this problem? and (2) if there is a way better and easier to create this main catalog of all looked at them Photos of all my catalogs?

Okay, my starting point is that LR can contain fortunately 400000 + photos, and it's a mistake to create a 1 star and catalogue as you suggest. Instead, I would recommend that you create a master catalog of all your photos, you can then question however you want - 2 stars, or a certain keyword, or with "xyz" in the title, etc.

If you are intent on going this way, you could try a slight change in what you have done so far. Instead of trying to import a complete catalogue and then delete photos of TSE, take the 2012 and 2014 catalogs and select only the photos 1 star. Then to Export in the catalog for these items and import the 2014-1star and 2012-1star in your new catalog. Can pass the problem images that I think are the problem.

If this does not work, or if you follow my initial advice, you're going to need identify the image where the failure occurs. You may have a corrupted image file, and replacement of your backup can be enough to solve the problem. Alternatively, it may be a corrupted in the catalog folder, and in this case, it may be sufficient to remove the image from the catalog and import it again. You can try to select everything in the catalog of 2014 and see if you can do an export as catalog, creating a 2014 clean and delete file previews of 2014 could also get rid of a potential problem. Another thing is to try exporting in the catalog for images 1-40000, then a second export as catalog images 40002 - 50 k.

So a few things that you need to try, rather than a magic bullet and a recommendation to change the underlying meaning.

  • Could not import the RAW with LR4

I have done the trial LR4... before LR3 and 1.  Could not import raw with 4 files.  MSG comes up saying, "After files were imported not because they cannot be read."  The reason I try it is because Canon 5 d Mk III and I was told HAD to get it for the treatment of the raw with this device.  Fine imports by iphoto.  I must admit, though, as a dunce, this morning, I put in a new CF card and forgot to format... but I don't think it's because I tried a few weeks previously and had same problem with a card which has BEEN formatted.  I had with iphoto, but they import them in a file on my desktop and then import from the desktop.  Tried this time, but the import column does not appear same office option.  And when I try the end of iphoto, and it arrives at its destination, I'm going under applications, and Adobe photoshop LR 4 is grey so I can't click on it to send pictures... Help!  (PLEEEZZZ!)  Thank you!

Oh, BTW, I downloaded DNG Converter, but have no idea how it works, don't see a help file with it, and Yes, the version of LR 4 I'm trying is 4.3.

Quote 'Suite of files were not imported because they cannot be read.

Make sure you have all the permissions read and write for all locations that you are trying to import the files. (for example if you try to import/copy files to a drive/folder where you have only read access, you will get this message) I think you see this message it is because before LR can read files is they must first be written/copied to the destination.

Make sure you have full read/write access to all drives/folders, you work with.
