Course of HP monitor sleep on start up

OK, I have addressed this issue long enough. I have a HP pavilion Elite hpe-400f. Large monitor has worked on this, then one night while I was checking my email, the picture went to scrabled, and since then I am faced with an error of "Monitor going to sleep" on start up. I can not enter my settings or do anything.

It does not work on the other screens to work, I tried a new set of cables, and when that didn't help, I went and bought a new graphics card. That's not good either. But I can't install the drivers until I see how to do it.

So what now? About HP told me works. I'm about to go crazy with this.  I begged HP to help me for a year working to no prevail.

Can you help me please?

Hi, thanks for the response. I got it actually working last night, and for someone else, this can help. That's what I did.

I tried of new cables, new video, new monitor card, everything.  I had remembered that I was faced with an error whenever I started, I think he went in the direction of "light CPU, please check CPU, stop" I restarted usually just a couple of times and he went.

Then I thought, what happens if it is the fan? So I got out, cleaned with alcohol, let dry and put back. I also took the RAM and he blew for dust and placed in. I return the pc suite and voila, my one problem is fixed!

Hope this can help someone as well.

  • Dell U2715H as second monitor sleep problem

I just bought a Dell U2715H monitor to connect to my iMac 27 "mid-2010.

Implementation, the system works beautifully. Plug n play, as we are accustomed to the Apple universe.

But after an automatic start, this morning, the Dell remained black, what I tried.

A phone call with the helpdesk Dell did not bring a solution; they are willing to trade for a new monitor, but I think not (just a feeling) which will tackle the problem.

After having a cup of coffee, I came back to my Mac, who had fallen asleep in the meantime.

Pressing a button all of life, including (surprise) the Dell monitor system.

After a few experiences, I discovered that after a reboot, the Dell remains black.

Put the system to sleep (using a hot corner) and pressing a key is not wake up the Dell.

Bringing the system to sleep and pressing a button after waiting 10-20 seconds, puts the entire system, including the Dell monitor.

The monitor is connected to a mid 2010 iMac 27 "2.93 GHz Intel Core i7, with a miniDP to DP cable.

Although I found this 'solution' after hours of frustrating attempts, it feels a bit inadequate.

  • Monitor sleep

I'm running Vista Ultimate 64 bit, SP2 on a HPd5000t with a HPw2338h monitor with GeForce GTS 250 video card, driver 8.15.11.8627.  Until 2 days ago, when the computer went to sleep then made the monitor with the rotary knob of the green to yellow.  Now when the computer sleeps, I get a black screen with a white box by not saying 'no signal' with a red, green and blue stripe at the bottom.  If I try to use the power button, I get the same box with the message "power button locked.  Other than the addition of speakers and updates of Windows (since the problem started), there has been no other changes.

How can I go back to a monitor of sleep where appropriate?

With the help of e-mail of Omar, I was able to solve my problem. Omar has proposed the following site:

  • HP Envy Rove 8.1 - when the monitor sleeps, it cannot be restored

I recently started having a new problem where the monitor on my all in a touchscreen Envy Wick not wake up after sleeping. To the best of my knowledge, the computer turns on and seems to work, but the screen is still asleep. By pressing the power button, move the mouse or press the keyboard keys seem to wake up the monitor. When I hard shut down the computer by pressing the power button and then restart the system, everything starts fine. It has been improved for Win8 to 8.1, but I don't think it's when the issue began.

I've been reviewing several similar problems, but none seem to reflect this specific question. Any guidance would be appreciated.

    SOLUTION:

Open BIOS (at first press ESC, press f10).

    F9 for default of restor

Then save and exit (press f10, once again)

    Restart the computer.

Doing this again and set it back on "Enable" that can help the computer wil not fire.

And now your ROVE will start and sleep properly.

  • Dimension 5150 puts random mode monitors 'sleep'

    Hello world

I have a Dimension 5150 2006-era tower that frequently but randomly will monitor to all this which is connected to in mode 'sleep', with the only difficulty being a reboot.  The computer is certainly still active as you can inside VNC.

I tried a whole bunch of bugs, including:

    -different monitor

    -different cables

-added a video card that uses DVI (exactly the same problem happens)

    -malware

    -update the video driver

-disabled power sleep in Windows Vista settings

-disabled standby settings in the BIOS to power

    -update the BIOS

-reinstalled XP Home, using the recovery disk

This problem sometimes, right after that the computer is started, sometimes hours later, sometimes it never happens until I turn the stop/restart computer.  He went a week or two without that being a problem, then after a reboot, that's going to start to happen again.

I am running out of ideas and guess this is a power supply or motherboard problem.  Someone has something else I could try?

I would try a new power supply.

  • Satellite A500 - 1C0 - Bluetooth monitor does not start

    Hello
I noticed that a new Bluetooth monitor was released for my Satellite A500 - 1 c 0 and so I tried to use it.

First, I downloaded the Bluetooth stack and Bluetooth screen and install it. As soon as I restarted my computer loaded Windows system default Bluetooth service. I tried to manually start the monitor installed, so I tried a Bluetooth Monitor and it came, but nothing happened. Ultimately the only way to get the old dos application had to use system restore. When I restored it to the previous system I just installed Bluetooth Monitor without installing Bluetooth Stack, and there it is again. I only use Windows Bluetooth utility.

How can I disable the utility and use Bluetooth Monitor from Toshiba or I can do it by default? It does not even start.

    Thank you

    Hi @MPBEqual,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I read your post and wanted to help.

I understand that you want to use the external keyboard and the monitor while the laptop lid is closed.

You must go to the Power Options. Set it to do nothing when the lid is closed.

You can view this document in order to manage power options:

  • Monitor sleep after 5 minutes

    Hello

My monitor has all of a sudden going to sleep after 5 minutes, even if I set it to "never" in my power management. I can't find anywhere where it says go to sleep in 5 minutes. If anyone can help?

    Kind regards

    KK

In addition to power management, check the settings of the screen saver.  Right click on the desktop and choose personalize, then click screensaver at the bottom right.  Make sure it is set to "none" instead of something like 'black screen '.

In addition, even if you have the timeout set to never monitor in power management, also check the setting "change when the computer sleeps" on the left side.
