MAX crashes when you try to connect to the remote server in VISA
Hi, I'm running a problem with MAX OR when trying to setup of a client/server VISA system. I had the first server tried 4.3 visa but she not even me would record the port on the server settings. When I tried to connect to the server from a remote machine to access the RS232 ports, it could hang NI MAX or do nothing, depending on how I tried to implement. If I click with the right button on the remote system in the right configuration pane and follow the wizard through, it doesn't matter, if I go to the toolbar tools-NI-VISA options and follow the wizard, NI Max crashes at the end. Then I went online and got the version 4.4.1 and tried with the same results. I also have abnormalities in safeguarding some configurations OR max leading me to question if there are questions of privileges. The operating system is Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2 on all machines. I'm logged on with administrator rights and everything seems to have full read/write privileges, but I still have problems. Thanks for the reply. We use MAX 4.5 so it wasn't the problem. We are not exaclty sure what the problem is / was set apart he healed himself when we all uninstalled and deleted the VXIPNP directory and reinstalled everything. When we did, everything came and worked as it should. One thing that may or may not be relevant, is when I was put in place of the customers, I went through the Options Tools - NI of VISA-VISA to complete configuration rather than right click on remote systems. This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is localized to your user account.
Select the feedback connections* and log in as a guest. Do not use the Safari connection only 'user comments' created by 'find my Mac '.
While signed in as a guest, you will have access to your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you use them for the first time. Do not be alarmed by this behavior; It's normal. If you need any password or other personal information in order to complete the test, save, print, or write them before you start.
Test while signed in as a guest. Same problem?
After testing, log on to the guest account and in your own account, disable it if you wish. The files that you created in the guest account will be automatically deleted when you log out of it.
* Note: If you have enabled 'find my Mac' or FileVault, then you cannot activate the guest account. The login 'User comments' created by 'Find my Mac' is not the same. Create a new account to test and delete it, including his home folder, after testing.
Step 2

The login screen is displayed even if you normally connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.
Test in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of steps 1 and 2.

I recently moved. I use the same router from my old apartment and I had no problem connection in the past. Since I moved I have a new Time Warner modem (Cisco) and the modem works fine.The router also works very well I'm able to connect with my iPhone and IPad without any problem.
But when I try to connect with my wireless laptop, it will only connect to Local access. If I connect the laptop to the router with the ethernet cable, it works very well.
It's a Dell Studio 15 with Vista.
The computer is able to connect to wifi to other places without any problem, but for some reason that I can't connect home. I tried to reset the modem and the router several times, but that did not help. I tried the option repair & diagnose several times but it doesn't work.
I tried to look for other solutions online and tried to disable IPv6, and while it helped some and I was able to connect wireless, the computer ran so slowly that it didn't seem like a good solution.
This has been very frustrating. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion.

Have you tried to change the wireless channel that your router is running at? There may be interference that could prevent the internet connection:

My new computer has windows 7 when I try to connect it to my router it ask the password, then he asks the network password I put in the same password and it does not accept it. Windows does not remember the setting.
When I try to connect to the net on my laptop LG I often get the message saying that windows could not connect and I have to go into the advanced settings and check the box that says allow windows to configure the network. My problem is that windows doesn't remember this setting and that I need to check the box almost everytime I try to connect. I had problems with my Toshiba Satellite A665 to internet connection. Lately when I try to connect to the internet, for the first minute or so it says 'No internet connection' (or something similar). Basically, he has the yellow warning triangle. Sometimes I can open the browser and search normally, but other times - and this happens more often it won't let me use my browser.
