Create DIA USB boot UEFI?

I have an E6440 with UEFI enabled in the bios.  I installed windows 7 64 bit Ent.  I installed DIA and created a USB and my captured image.  Now when I test the USB on the same E6440 with active UEFI, the USB IS NOT to appear in the start menu in "UEFI BOOT.

what I've done wrong?  Why used to the USB that I create with show SLIDE upward with UEFI active?

Tyler,

When a USB stick is formatted for UEFi boot, it will appear in the boot under the heading "UEFI BOOT" menu.  I formatted USB key regular with "Rufus" that appear in the section 'UEFI BOOT' from the start menu, but the DIA USB created are not displayed in the "BOOT of the UEFI.

My question is why don't the USB of DIA NE key appears in the section 'The UEFI BOOT' in the start menu, when it is formatted in fat32?

You can install Windows 7 from a USB /Thumb drive, but Windows 7 can not boot from a USB key.

    > 1. How to create a DVD repair or start for windows 8.1 pro with UEFI Bios and boot secured.
To be able to boot from sources other than the drive HARD internal, the boot mode must be set to the CSM and secure boot must be disabled!

    > 2. I created a USB recovery using the control panel in Windows Pro 8.1. It starts OK. It will be the same as that I've created using the Toshiba Media recovery creator or will it drivers Windows Pro 8.1?

Your laptop has been preloaded with Win 8. Right? For example, the USB flash stick memory you just use the Toshiba Recovery media creator contains the Image of Toshiba with Windows 8. Don t mix this Toshiba image with the image that can be created using Microsoft's own backup and restore function. Both are different pictures!

    > 3. Check it with disk management, then 3 (450MO, 350 MB and GB 10.90) recovery partitions, 1 EFI system partition and 2 partitions primary (C: programs) and D: for data. I created the recovery DVD and USB 2 disks. Can I remove the 3 recovery partitions?

The last partition contains the files on HARD drive recovery. Usually this partition will be created again when you use the Toshiba Recovery disk to put the laptop back to factory settings. So in the case where you n t need this files or the partition, you can delete

  • USB boot with UEFI charger problem

Hi peepz I have a desktop HP 110 009el and I am trying to boot from USB on the UEFI boot loader, checked the bios and installs on top saves USB the changesand hit F9 to restar PC.

the only options I see to restart on UEFI boot its only are the network bootloader... no USB or HDD doesn't appear...

any ideas how boot USB charger UEFI?

just to let is know I did installed USB no UEFI under Linux and tryied to install win7...

the two worked great but wasn't UEFI.

    Thanks in ADVANCE!

    Hello

Power off with the active UEFI USB device inserted into the PC. Now, turn on the PC and press ESC then press F9. The USB device should now be indicated by EFI.

Most active UEFI PCs I've used require UEFI enabled devices to be connected to the current time in order to be recognized.

  • Pavilion 500 - 206t: Boot Manager does not appear in the sources of boot UEFI

I had a working system, until I installed Fedora on it...

I have since removed Fedora, but cannot get the windows partition to start for the life of me.

In the bios, I don't see "Microsoft boot manager" in the list of Sources of boot UEFI in the boot order.

I have the original, untouched windows 7 x 64 partition, the HP recovery partition and 10 windows partition, I recently did a clean install, but still no start.

I've deleted and recreated a 100 MB EFI partiton and a partion of 128 MB msr by using diskpart.

formatted fat32 EFI, left the msr as-is.

C:\Windows\Boot\EFI\ files on the EFI partition in \EFI\Windows\Boot

Creates the via bcdedit boot manager entries.

    I tried:

    1. Bootrec /fixboot
    2. Bootrec /fixmbr
    3. Bootrec /rebuildbcd

I also used boot bcd with uefi function to copy the files on

I used an installation disc USB win10 to the foregoing as a win7 disc does not have the USB drivers for the keyboard and the mouse.

Am I missing something for the HP Pavilion?

    Thanks in advance

    Repair of windows did nothing.

I created a ultimatebootcd USB drive (http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/) and used parted Magic/clonezilla in order to image the old windows and partitions of hp recovery (not the entire disk) to a USB external HDD (plugged into USB 2.0 port)

Then I deleted all partitions with parted magc.

Install win 7 on the system with no partitions, it's easier to reduce windows on partition of 100 MB, but you can adjust it later, also don't you bother with the product key, ignore her.

Restart the ultimate boot CD, choose parted Magic then Partition editor and create an important partition for windows = or superior to what it was when he was photographed. If your new installation of win 7 took the entire disk, simply to reduce the size of the partition and create the large partition to restore to, don't forget the restoration of 15 GB HP as well. If you don't see all the partitions or get an error in the score editor, see this link: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1619381

don't worry about formatting new partitions.

To restore, you will need to rename the image files on the external hard disk created in the second paragraph above. The partition names will be changed, see this link: http://drbl.org/faq/fine-print.php?path=./2_System/102_restore_image_to_different_partition.faq#102_restore_image_to_different_partition.faq

After the restoration, start windows installation disk and repair, it will be your old windows partition, restored. Save and reboot the old partition. If everything is successful, you can delete the newly installed partition win 7 and use msconfig in windows to delete startup entries. You can use parted magic to cultivate the restored partition, if you wish.

Then, install windows 10 to get a true EFI boot.

installation of El Capitan in a mac by usb, but only using windows to create the USB

I'm having a problem to install el capitan on a mac book pro 2009 has changed (dead) to an ssd HARD drive

I can't find that any information how to do this from a windows machine (now only available) of the old system had the lion as I was told and when trying to install lion line or wireless it says it isn't available now so the machine is stuck without an operating system.

If you are anywhere near an Apple Store, I would suggest bringing your MBP to and asking to help. For USB, you need to partition and format to allow to boot on a Mac, what Windows can not do. Then either create a bootable installer or install OS X on USB and then copy the installer it, boot from it and run the installer with the SSD as a target.

  • HP EliteBook 820 G3: HP EliteBook 820 G3 - no USB Boot

    Hello

I have a HP EliteBook 820 G3 which was working fine a few days ago and now I can't boot from a USB key.

I put the USB Boot BIOS and any type of USB, I try and no matter what USB Port I try I can not show USB boot F9 option menu.

The stick, I'm trying to start is a stick of SCCM Boot to BIOS devices (non-uefi).

I tried a fomatted UEFI, one to make sure that it was not the problem and it made no difference.

In my cube, I have a ton of HP hardware and all begin this exact stick even without problem.

But even if the stick did not form correctly it should still show USB as an option in the Menu start with the BIOS configured to boot from it.

I have reset the BIOS settings, I disabled the USB Boot box then restarted and places back.

I have flashed the BIOS to the latest version and that made no difference.

When the machine starts the operating system correctly shows the contents of the flash player.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

    False problem.

A factory more reset BIOS seems to have understood that it works.

  • How to create a usb bootable for IE captain?

When I was doing the usb boot, I found articles with google, but they are all so outdated.

Many say even using an 8G usb... which of course is not allowed now, as the required minimum is 16G.

I use the Middle terminal to the USB.

What is the process that is more up-to-date? And what is the code of sudo for this please?

I tried the sudo Web site code, it turns out that say that there is no function "createinstallmedia".

    Hi Guoxuan,

When you mention "createinstallmedia" looks like you want to create a bootable Installer for El Capitan.

Note 'createinstallmedia' is not a function built-in, but is part of the package install, as shown in this article.

Create an installer for OS X - Apple support bootable

Use the "createinstallmedia" command in the Terminal

    1. Download the installer for OS X for the Mac App Store. Quit the installer if it opens automatically after downloading. The installation program will be located in your Applications folder.
    2. Mount your USB key or another volume. You can also use an internal secondary partition.
    3. Open the Terminal application, which is located in the Utilities folder of the Applications folder.
    4. Use the createinstallmedia command in a Terminal to create the bootable Installer. Examples of this command are in the next section. To get the detailed instructions for use, make sure that the app install OS X proper is in your Applications folder, then enter one of the following in a Terminal:

    Path for El Capitan:

    /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia

Note in step 4. the appropriate installation program should be in the Applications folder before you reach it.

The article gives a more complete example of the command.

The following examples assume that the OS X Installer is in your Applications folder and the name of your USB key or another volume is MyVolume:

    Example for El Capitan:

    sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app

If you are just trying to create a bootable USB key, then you just install El Capitan on this disc as usual, by selecting the USB key as a destination.

    Hey guys -.

I'm new on the ImageAssist and work on using it for our company.  I build my base on one Cluster Hyper-V to create an ISO bootable is a much better solution than a USB bootable for me.  The problem is, I get an error when you try to create.

I downloaded, extracted and installed the latest ImageAssist on an E6440 laptop computer with a new installation of Windows 7 x 64 enterprise on it and all the drivers installed.  I launched ImageAssist, then went to create the bootable USB key.  With a disc inserted, I selectionner select in the list, choose NTFS (get the same error with grease) and create materials.

I confirm the action to throw the disc start creating and copying files.  A few minutes later, it seems at the end and a dialog box appears showing 'USB Drive creation... ". ImageAssist editing environment / / / failed.  Despite the message, the reader seems to work at least partially as I can boot to it.

When you try to create an ISO by running DVD_Restore_Archetect.exe / ISO from a command line, I get the exact same message.  In the window of the newspaper, it is said that an ISO named C:\Dell...iso has been created, but there is no ISO to the root file when you are finished / I get the error.

Any idea of that which is the cause of occur?  Thank you!

You will need to contact our support desk and send them the newspapers that we are able to solve what could happen here.

That said some USB keys and ports may run more slowly and cause problems with the DISM process to set up and modify the WIM to boot WinPE. Sometimes using another USB drive and or port can solve these types of problems.

With the "/ iso ' switch fails on the DVD of restoration architect needed newspapers to begin to address this issue, because there could be a number of different problems, causing this result.

We are working currently on created more detailed documentation to help customers to some of the common problems we encountered using Hyper-V virtual machines and Virtual Machine.

If you can contact our support desk and send us the logs form the system you see that question we would be happy to see what we can do to help solve this problem with you.

It could also help to ensure that you have Antivirus software installed on the system you are trying to create the USB or ISO, because there are problems with some AV software and known the DISM.
