creation or suppression pool stuck

Hello

o am facing problem with my vmware view horizon when I try to create the pool he always stop in the commissioning process and without any update happens. also, it happens when I try to delete another pool still face long time problem and I deleted them manually. I'm just a question on the reason that made it happen, I don't have any update or changes on my servers.

I have 2 server connection (normal and replica)

vcompser installed on the vcenter Server

vcenter located on centralized data base SQL server and service for vcenter running and working.

I'm already normally working on my specialized basin and I can connect to the machine normally without any problem

Hello spartakos80spartakos80,

Eventually a replication problem between 2 connection servers. Check the Eventvwr > Application and Services > Adam connects

If you find the replication problem try to force replication http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1021805

For a temporary fix please follow this http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2068381

If the problem persists, take a look at this kb http://. VMware.com/kb/2014488

According to my understanding, these items should solve your problem.

  • View pool stuck to remove

    Morning,

We have a pool of VMware stuck in the phase of suppression, and it generates a lot of errors in the event log.  I followed this KB article http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1008658 and the query is not displayed results associated with this pool.  We run VMware View 5.0.0.  There is no virtual machines associated with this pool in vSphere, he comes to be stubborn and will not erase.

    Any ideas here?

I followed the KB linked above to connect to the DB ADAM and went to the table of roles of server and manually deleted my stuck pool.  Worked!

  • Sort by creation date Resource Pools

    Hi all

First of all, all the PS newbie here...

I'm trying to figure out a little PS code to extract that information from our vCenter server.

    If I use:

    Get-ResourcePool | Sort-Object ID - descending

I got the list based on the prime number, so, for example:

    RP01 ResourcePool-resgroup-99

    Healrp02 ResourcePool-resgroup-881

Healrp02 is mentioned after 01, even if it was created at a later date, all simply because the first number (9) is greater than 8.

Is there a way to list by the real resource pools, multiplication, so I can have at the end of the list based on the creation date?

    Thank you

    Luca.

Although I don't know that he'll give the resourcepools sorted by date of creation, you can sort on numbers in the id resourcepool with:

    Get-ResourcePool | Sort-Object-descending - property {[int] $_.} {Id.Split("-")-[1]} | Select-Object - Property Name, Id

  • Can not find doamin during the creation of a Pool of linked Clone

I have joined to my domain login server. The connection to the server can see Active Directory, but when creating the linked cloning Pool, when I want to choose the field, unrolling of the section is empty. Why?2.png

    Excerpt from https://communities.vmware.com/message/1624368:

    Try this:

    • Under Display Configuration drop-down list, select servers
    • Select your Vcenter server, and then click on change
    • Select Edit in "view composer server settings.
    • Under areas, select "check server information."
    • Add your domain

This should take care of it.

  • Problem automated creation of the pools (linked clone or full clone)

    Hi all!

Two or three weeks ago I started to experience a very strange error in my environment. (vCenter and vSphere Horizon are version 6.x)

At the point where I'm trying to create a pool automated , using of linked clone or a full clone, the following error is displayed as follows:

«The selected snapshot is hardware version 7.» Only ESX 4.0 hosts or homogenous groups of hosts running ESX 4.0 can be selected. »

I know that there is a KB ( ) 1028489) reported this error, but it is applied to view 4.X and I'm running the version 6

I first thought it was on an old parent VMs and instant, so I created all parents of virtual machines and snapshot material the most recent help of virtual machine. But the error still there.

Is there any type of troubleshooting for this problem?

    Ideas are very much aprecciated.

    Thank you.

    Best,

    Eduardo.

    Solved!

  • new machines in specialized pool stuck in step of customization

Any new machine in a pool specialist, we have not finish customization. I noticed that the machine names do not change when they are deployed from the template and that there is an odd line "this machine is not configured by a server connection view" in the newspapers of the agent to view. Also the agent view never gets detected. Verify that the virtual machine can see the connection to the server and it can. This problem has been difficult to diagnose, because after a certain amount of time I'm locked out of the machine because the admin account becomes invalid (even though I told it to activate in the specifications of sysprep customization file). Since the machine is not on the field, none of our accounts of field work and I cannot remote access to c$ because the local administrator account is disabled.

Things have really wonky in our environment when our admins network changed all passwords Server/Admin. not sure if this is related or not. We had to get new information of identification within the view, but maybe we missed something? Existing unspecialized pools work normal. If I recompose a pool of the snapshot, the model is built since I don't have any problems but I also use a quick preparation. Checked the account used by the spec of customization to join the machine to the domain works correctly.

Thus, at least in this case the store disabled windows caused the outcome. What I find weird because we did it on physical machines without any problems syspreping. Challenge all MAK stuff since we use the volume keys and really don't need to worry about counties rearm (we get 999)

  • Recompose + pool stuck in Admin view

    Hi all

So I hate to list the many questions/problems, we are affected by all grouped together, but we are sure to have questions that I feel should not occur.

And please note that I started working with VMware, so I'm not an expert, just trying to learn best practices.

    View environment:

    7 host ESX - mvn1 - mvn7 (v4.1 u1)

    2 servers connection - mvc1 + mvc2

1 security Server - mvs1 (with hope to put in place a second shortly)

    1 replica server - mvr1

Shared storage between all hosts via iSCI

They are as follows (and any help what do I get on part or all of the questions would be greatly appreciated):

    A. first of all, I noticed that it takes more than one hour to clone a machine model/create a Pool of 1 VM / create linked Clone pool. Size of the model is about 30g. I've seen articles indicating that this is normal, it just seems like we want to optimize it a little more to have 'a' VMs created more quickly.

    B. in the admin view, I have a pool that seems an orphan and will remove itself from the view of the pool. Therefore, there are 5 mV in this pool who have the message Error (Missing). All attempts to eliminate the pool or the VMs do not work. Ive tried the SVIClone command without success (although it said that it completed successfully). This occurred after only a bad call. When recomposition, I can't not done properly and some of my virtual machines have been removed from the VC but kept in admin view. Now, I can't get rid of them.

    C. in this sense, can someone please confirm that these are appropriate measures to recompose the pools for updates/hotfixes:

    1. ask to master model of loan. Make sure that VM is off.  (Decline of the area or to keep it on the field when taking snapshots and creating LC pool?)

    2. create the snapshot of the model

    3. follow the wizard in view and instant install Linked Clone pool - first selection

4 replica is created and child VM appear in function image parent

    To redial:

    1. create the second snapshot with parent amended template

    2. in the Admin view, crop, and select new snapshot

    3 recompose

4 remove the first snapshot and keep only the second.

When recomposition, the names of DNS, the domain of the virtual machine is turned on, rights, all should remain the same and no affected correct? All applications (ex: Outlook) should stay with the game of profile information?

    Thanks for any assistance,

    r.

Here are the instructions for connecting to ADAM

    • Connect to the computer hosting your VMware View connection server through VMware Infrastructure Client or Microsoft RDP.
    • Open the ADAM Active Directory Service Interfaces Editor.
    • In a Windows Server 2003, click Start > programs > ADAM > ADAM ADSI Edit.
    • In a Windows Server 2008, click Start > all programs > administrative tools > ADSI Edit.
    • Right-click ADAM ADSI Edit , and then click on connect to.
    • Verify that Select or type a domain or server is selected, and the destination points to localhost.
    • Select the distinguished name (DN) or naming context , and then type dc = vdi, vmware, dc = int = dc.

As far as questions of fact composer composer account have the correct permissions to AD.   Did you look in the logs of composer within the guest to see if you can get all the information from there?

  • I couldn't create a pool of LBaaS.

Hi, I put the challenge to use the LBaaS function.

But the treatment of the creation of a pool of LBaaS would fail.

I have it set up as below.

You can try to recreate the router with:

  • Cannot create the pool network

When you try to create a PvDC, I get an error in UI vCD which says 'could not be created.  I drilled down into the error and shows the explanation below.  I also checked the - news and newspapers of debugging on both cells in this environment and they just declare the same data.  When you look on the side of the VSM in this puzzle, the "extended network" seems to have been created no problem for this new PvDC.

Error response VSM (100): id to load is required for loading. nested exception is java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: id to load is required for loading

There were obsolete entries in the database POSSIBLE vCD caught on during the creation process.  Engineering once deleted the obsolete entries, a repair on the PvDC and/or a recreation of the PvDC enabled the creation of network pool to cross.

  • want to install trial - confused about the ip pool/ip addresses

So I downloaded the FVO and attempted to deploy devices (latest version of 5.7.x). When I tried everything first he said I need an IP pool. OK, so I guess that... Well I don't know why I need a pool of ip, but I created an and associated with the correct vsphere portgroup/network. Now, I need to choose the IP address - he invites in trust manual/fixed or dhcp - of course, I want to give fixed ip servers, but then it says "ip address cannot be in ip pool.

    huh?

I don't understand - what is the purpose of the ip pool, otherwise to assign ip addresses to the devices?

no problem, thanks for the reply.

I have re-read the start guide however, and this time it was spotted in the network settings section configures where he describes the creation of the pool:

"Do not select the checkbox enable the Pool IP and do not specify a range of IP addresses. You specify it

IP address for the virtual machines in the TIME using the Deployment Wizard OVF VAPP. »

Weird - and it worked. Not sure why we need a swimming pool in the first place, then. HMMPH

  • By specifying which office is assigned to a user

I currently have a pool of persistent 20 desktop computers Vista training. Wyse S10 allows us to connect to the connection manager to view with the Single Sign-On option. The connection manager will assign the next available bureau to the student that connects to. is it possible to configure the pool of offices so that Student01 is given Desktop01?

    Thank you

    Dave

If you use a persistent pool, when a user is assigned a virtual computer in the pool, virtual machine becomes "stuck" to the user.  So, in this Yes feeling.  The initial creation of the pool is somewhat random, but once a user connects to a virtual computer it becomes their.

Now the question in a non persistent pool of whatever the virtual computer is available is what you're going to get applies.  There is therefore no guarantee every user will receive the same VM.

  • BlackBerry smartphone Print to Go - installation hangs

Installation of Print to Go has not completed on my Win 7 - x 64 laptop. The installation screen with the "it can take several minutes', the bar end went to the far right, but installation has not completed, even after 4 hours of waiting. I have to use the Task Manager to close the application. When I try to reinstall, I see a screen asking if I want to repair or uninstall. I choose to repair and get a message saying "error 1500. Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one. "I have to restart my PC for free from the app. When I look at the installed Progams and features after reboot, Print to Go is not included.  I go through the process of installing new but same result... installation does not complete. I also tried to disable the anti-virus without profit, same result.

I lived the application PrintToGo suspended installation on my Windows Vista computer. Then, after a lot of troubleshooting and inspect the logs, I realized that she was hung on the command "net start spooler" in the installation script. Then I noticed that the net was hung in the Task Manager. I was able to complete the installation by putting an end to this process running. After that, the routine installation 'no inflected' and have been presented successfully install and the printer PrintToGo was present under printers. Don't know if you have the same problem but check your task manager for all net running * treats when the installation crashes routing.

  • Driver TP does redundancy MCU?

    Hello

It is claimed that TP driver can support several microcontrollers for the main use of the call for balance in the creation of a pool (if I understood). But there's just a couple of microcontrollers (any: either 2 separate 4505 x, or 2 x 5310 grouped) with calls on each, is there a way to pass calls from failure (just in case) MCU for work one?

And another point of cleaning. As I undarstood in the documentation of a cluster of MCU 5300 provides no redundancy, because one is the master and the second is slave. Master/slave failure leads to the failure of the cluster.

Please correct if I am wrong.

    Thank you

    Hello

"If the start of the Conference or MCU offices fails" is a very dangerous option, since it can make TMS down permanent calls that actually are connected correctly. This happens if the TMS loses the connection to the MCU for a minute, but this does not necessarily mean that endpoints cannot connect to the MCU.

We strongly recommend to not use "If the start of the Conference or MCU offices fails.

    Hi Prakash,

I assume that you have given the IP address of your server, Hyperic and database and completed the deployment of the FVO. And while turning on you get the error you mentioned.

Update: Follow this blog creation of a Pool of IP for vFabric Hyperic server: vPirate

You get this error because when the Hyperic Server powered on it seeks association Pool of IP and fails to power on if there is none.

  • Cannot create the VAPP: vimserver is unknown in VCD

I get this error message when I try to create a paralytic to my organization in the vcloud Director

How can I solve this problem?

Please help me and thanks in advance

Something was happening in vCenter?  As the deletion or re-creation of resource pools?

Looks like the DRS has been disabled, or a pool/cluster has been removed.

If this is the case, please file a support request and we can help get back the deployment.

If not, can you clarify the events that led to this situation?  It seems that something has happened to vCenter, as vCloud Director is looking for a principal resource pool.
