Hi, my first question on this forum.

I have a new HP 2540 series inkjet, I setup for wireless printing and do not print on all documents, reserved example a flight online today and wanted to print docs 4 4 pages it will only print two pages, then an error message appears top right of the screen of the laptop, unfortunately, the error message disappears and is not there long enough to read or write.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Hello @victormildrew and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you have problems printing.  I would like to help!

If you make a copy of multi page, you have any questions?

I recommend you to remove the printer ink cartridges and perform a power reset.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I recommend also to download and run the HP print and Scan doctor.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • DesignJet 130nr: canvas print Designjet 130NR

Print on canvas of sheet (13 x 19) on Designjet 130NR works very well. Called HP Support asking if there are 24 "canvas rolls that work. Told me and it makes sense, the tool can not handle the Cup fabric.

Someone at - he found and printed successfully pre-cut large canvases for the 130NR? I've got a good big letter opener, but as anyone who uses the 130 know, it rejects easily paper cut perfectly.

    Hello

Strawberry is not really designed to cut the canvas. Is too thick

You can still use it, but you will need to replace it more often.

If your knife used to work, you may need to replace it now

  • HP Designjet Z5200: Z5200 print on vinyl

    Hello

I'm trying to print on HP permanent adhesive vinyl (mast, 30 "x 150' Roll). I chose the adhesive paper in the menu type of paper (vinyl does not appear, only polypropylene), but when I'm printing, the ink never dries.

Before ordering the book, I checked the paper supported on the Z5200 types, and it looked as if the vinyl was not serious.

Do I need different ink? (I use ink that he's come up with.)

    Thank you!

    Hello

You cannot change the printer ink.

Check paper specifications and make sure that it is compatible with inkjet system. If no drying of the ink, it's probably not.

Do you have the part number of media?

  • HP Designjet T2300 PS printer: HP Designjet T2300 gas station problems

I work for a small engineering firm. We have owned a large scale printer Postscript HP Designjet T2300 plotter for about five years. We rarely have problems with it, but a few days ago, we started to have problems with the service stations of the tracer. Whenever we turn the plotter hear us a loud clicking noise coming from the area of the station.

We initially received error code 21.2:13. I contacted HP support and they had me run diagnostics on the service station. They returned with the error code of 21:13. I was told that I needed to replace the service station.

I disassembled the side cover right to access the service station. When you turn on the plotter, as it has gas carrier station inializes goes ahead all the way and continues to click. I got out the service station Assembly and disassemble to see if I could fix it. Badly cleaned ink necessary spittoon & one of the metal clips used to stop the carrier to move too far to the front had popped out.

I've cleaned all the ink level and I replaced the clip. I reassembled the Assembly and reinstalled in the plotter. After the reboot, I can still hear the rattling noise. The motor that moves the carriage of station service before doesn't seem to work properly. It does not stop when it reached the front of the gas station. She continues to advance the carrier and click on gears.

Is there a sensor or something built that is supposed to stop the carrier to service station when it is moved to the front as it has supposed to go? Is my only option to replace the entire service station?

    Thank you!

    Hello

If there is a click on the service station, provided is because a part broke.

Your best option is to replace the part number

CH538-67040 gas station - includes the fall detector and the spittoon of station service

  • HP Designjet T520 color prints have strips

The plot of a file prn in an Autodesk product: Revit using HP paper, the color of drawing a 1 4 "strips that lighten a dark color. Spare bands natural color for 1 1/4 ", then a band that clears up the same color, then color.  No banding occurs on the black and white prints

It's a problem of correspondence of GIS of paper Type. When a roll of HP Designjet Bright white 24lb paper is used, the type of paper bearing the same name is selected, then the file printed correctly, no strip of color - Revit and Bluebeam.

  • DesignJet 1055 cm prints cyan bands constantly any help would be much appreciated

    Hello world

First, I want to mention that I am a technician in the field for all 20years on the road. My question here is that one of my clients have HP DesignJet 1055 cm that prints strips cyan on everything you send to the printer. Including test internal pages examples: test page for quality; demo page; Settings page. I replaced all the print heads to be sure before you start ordering spare parts. I also contact HP ASP support and sent them a picture and sound indicates the following parts in the following order. Trailing cable, transport and main PCB Board. Because this printer is no longer under warranty and chargeable to the customer, I want to ask this forum for further assistance. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated... SAL

    Hello world

Guess what the main logic board was the problem. As soon as I replaced the main logic Board no more cyan stripes. Full closed appeal. Even if I ran the test of service never it report a problem with the logic board? Thanks for all help I really appreciate the help. Thank you

  • Designjet 510: Designjet 510 starts printing, then everything stops and "blocks" no error messages...

My normally reliable Designjet 510 suddenly started having problems printing: it starts to print my drawings, no problem, but it suddenly stops and just print head 'crashes' and no longer print.  He sometimes starts from the beginning of printing, he sometimes almost at the end of the drawing before it stops, but he can't seem to finish the print job.  The printer does not display an error message, it still shows that it is printing, but no matter how long I leave, it will not at the end of a drawing.   I'm on Microsoft Windows 10 - there was a hiccup when I upgraded Windows, but after reinstalling the printer driver, it seems to work again no problem.  I'm tearing my hair out (and lose large amounts of paper) trying to get anything to print!  Pointers would be welcome.

    Thank you.

P.S. I posted this problem previously, then thought I had sorted by adjusting the settings of the printer, but she went back, and I am no closer to knowing why!

    How is the printer connected?

My name is Rania and I run an Interior Design firm. Recently I replaced my 130NR with a T120 and after a few months of printing, I get what can be seen in the attached photos. • What damage would result of the use of inkjet paper in a laser printer

The subject says everything really. If you accidentally use glossy inkjet photo color laserjet, it would harm the printer?

If this would be how it would hurt it? This replacement parts would be needed.

Conversely if the paper shining laser for example HP Paper Photo Professional 200 is used in inkjet, it will damage the ink jet printer?

    Thanks in advance,

    Steve

Glossy paper using ink jet lying in a laserjet damage the laser printer certainly because coated inkjet paper is not designed to handle the high printing laser, especially the roll of oven temperatures.  In a bad case (maybe worse?) coating would be falling apart on the roller, causing damage to the roll and requiring a repair.

With the help of photo paper designed for laser printing to an ink jet printer should not cause damage, but the results are likely to be poor, lose the impression.

  • HP Business Inkjet 1100dtn first would not print at all, now prints black and magenta and cyan

    Hello world.

First of all I must say I spent most of the night reading the posts here, especially this one:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/other-printing-questions/HP-Photosmart-C7280-black-ink-won-t-print/TD-p...

I find that a lot of people are frustrated, but I also find that a lot of people go a long way to help, which is nice. :-)

I bought a HP Business Inkjet 1100 DTN in 2004 or more and was extremely (!) satisfied with it. This is the best printer I've ever owned when it comes to value for money and durability. However, he was put away for a few years and a friend played with it to make it work. I think also, it has removed the print head and cartridges for awhile. This could possibly make the printheads, ink near the connectors and not dry out the cartridges?

Anyway, I got home yesterday, and the first think I did was soak the print head in warm water. I don't even bother try everything first. Also, I cleaned up the two electrical contacts for the print heads inside the printer and the print heads themselves. Finally, I used a dozen q-tips to clean ink residues near the two connectors for the cartridges and print heads.

After all this, I went for a clean full from Windows. The first testpage (power while pressing X on the printer dock) came out as expected... terrible. No black, not yellow, almost no cyan and some magenta.

I repeated soaking in hot water, only hotter this time (boucherit filled with water in the dish, then dip the lowest 3-4mm of each print head). Each of them sunk ink when I stirred the water so I was optimistic. Yet once, I ran a full cleaning of Windows and print a testpage (hold power while pressing X on the printer)

    Much better this time.

Now, I had about 50% yellow, which should have been there, 70% cyan, magenta to 90% and the text on the upper part was mostly black. Magenta has helped fill in some places where black does not.

However, right after cleaning with water or alcohol, it prints fine for maybe 1 testpage, then it is worse. Also I noticed that the black ink is very sticky, so I think he skipped over the years. I know that I can just buy a new set of ink, to make the power contained in the cartridges heads line and heads are full of old and thick ink. Even with heads printing, no need to buy new ones since the supply line is full of old and thick ink.

I also noticed that the supply line for the cartridges printheads have air bubbles in them. I see bubbles in the yellow and magenta lines, but the cyan and black are too dark to see. I guess that's a problem? I read that energetic cleaning combined with print between the two may over time to solve this problem, but I have to say that I did the cleanings at least 25 tonight and the bubbles are more or less on the same place. (I also notice some bubbles and marked their position). They move when the pump in the cartridges are being exploited, but coming back to the same place after. Almost as if the printheads does not accept ink, are blocked or have internal pressure which must be ventilated. (?)

So I guess I have to get a kanyle (not sure of the English word), remove the ink cartridge to suck little ink, and then remove the print head and inject the ink, I took the cartridge it is until the power line is free of bubbles also good and old ink. Then replace the cartridge and the head.

Am I mistaken or I think much too advanced?

Here are some of the testprints in the correct order. There are many others, but I downloaded the most important.

Note that yellow was there at the beginning, so also was the cyan. Now they are both almost gone again. I suspect than that to have something to do with air bubbles? I'm not sure. Magenta seems to be the only color as well. : PEI

I also tried the tip to the subject of bumping the cartridge (I did the same thing with the print heads) with no noticeable improvement. Also, I cleaned the rubber gasket on the black cartridge with a paperclip. Of course, he came out with ink, but it was sticky.

Please answer because I would really get this printer up and running again. :-)

    Ben of the Norway.

Hi again. Sorry for double posting, but I thought it deserved a post of its own.

After having tried everything last night (I worked at least 8 to 10 hours on the * beep * printer) I got so sick so I just took all the print heads and tempered 5mm lower them (side of the printhead) in hot water and let it just sit there for 2-3 hours. I had forgot about them when I went to bed. I cut them a bit and inserted into the printer, rand a clean and printed this:

The yellow one is still a little with rays, I guess that some nozzles are always blocked, but at least now I know the formidable powers of the hot water. :-)

  • DesignJet T2500: Force Print

When making a copy, she holds the work pending on paper. Paper is loaded, but is low still has at least 50' left on the spool. We must then select impression of strength. Why is this happening?
I have only checked memos of HP, no surprise no note on it. I checked the fw the machine level indicates it is up-to-date. Any suggestions?
    Thank you
    Richard

    Jin

If you need to force printing, is because the task is pending due to a missmatch, or the printer is waiting for the user to open the arms of Stacker.

The printer will ask you to open the stacker of weapons when

    -Selected in the driver

-The selected paper type require this action, for the most part, the glossy paper

    Missmatch paper could be

-The type of paper selected in the driver does not match to the paper selected in the control panel of the printer

-The paper selected in the driver size does not correspond to the paper selected in the control panel of the printer

-Work is larger than the paper loaded

Check the size of the paper on the EWS printer

Check the size of the actual document, including margings

Check the paper selected on the printer and the application type

    Update the firmware

Download the file from the HP site

Save it on a USB FAT32 format (make sure that there are no other files on the USB key)

Connect the USB cable to the printer and it will update
