CTS telephone operational status

Hello

I'm trying to monitor the operating condition of the IP phone connected to a CTS-1300 via SNMP, however I found that the MIB (MIB-TELEPRESENCE-CISCO) related to this material does not deal specifically of this requirement.

As far as I could test, ctpPeripheralStatus (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.643.1.2.1.1.3) would indicate only the attached status but not telepresence-ready status, which in turn is somewhat different from the point of view of the CallManager (registered/not registered), given that the phone could be registered to CUCM and actually not OK to take calls.

So what I found an empirical point of view, it is that readiness is obtained when the phone has successfully downloads and installs the MIDlet, which in turn is reflected in the election of the MIB extraction ctpPeripheralDescription (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.643.1.2.1.1.2):

ctpPeripheralDescription

ISO.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.643.1.2.1.1.2.2 = STRING: "IP_PHONE - MACAddress = AABBCCDDEE, HostName = SEPAABBCCDDEE, PhoneDN = 1000, AppLoadID = jar75sip.9 - 2-1TH1 - 13.sbn,

BootLoadID = tnp75.8 - 3-4 - 16BN01.bin, Version = SIP75.921 S, HardwareRevision = 11.0,

SerialNumber = ABC12345XYZ, ModelNumber = CP - 7975 G,MidletVersion = Transport SPM - 1.8.1 - P1 - 1s"

ctpPeripheralStatus

ISO.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.643.1.2.1.1.3.2 = INTEGER: 0

CtpPeripheralStatusCode: = TEXTUAL-CONVENTION

Current STATUS

DESCRIPTION

"The textual convention identifies the State of the device.

noError (0).

Expected device works through

the port is attached.

ctpPeripheralDeviceCategory

ISO.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.643.1.2.1.1.4.2 = INTEGER: 3

CtpPeripheralDeviceCategoryCode ::= TEXTUAL-CONVENTION
    STATUS          current
    DESCRIPTION
        "The textual convention identifies the peripheral type.
        unknown              (0)  -- Unknown Device
        other                (1)  -- None of the listed device
        uplinkDevice         (2)  -- Device attached to CTS uplink port
        ipPhone              (3)  -- IP phone

If ctpPeripheralDescription display the software of the phone listed, then it is good. Maybe the status OK/not OK seen through CTS GUI is displayed after an assessment of this kind?

I have already laid around and did some additional tests along, but apparently it's the only way to properly assert via SNMP simple, if the phone does not work correctly.

Is there another way to check this?

Thanks in advance,

Gabriel

Hello Gabriel,

Since you had no response, and yet I'm scanning my archives of memory and what you have concluded matches what is in the MIB, RFC and Message to SNMP trap doc for the CTS systems:

http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/cucm_cts/cucm_cts_admin_book/guide/cucm_cts_admin_mibs.html

The displayed phone charge, version midlet and the status of noError (0) of the ipPhone (3) should coincide with no error in the GUI and the phone successfully, showing the midlets and ready for telepresence.

HTH,

Paula

    Hello guys,.

    I want to know what is the difference between the operational status of APs to the TOP and REG?

  • Demand for launched operation status

    Hello

    I implemented a custom of SOA and workflow built-in IOM via the trust policy (operational level approval). Approval is triggered appropriately and workflow (notification of the action) is made, once approved resources gets provisioned successfully, but demand remains in launched operation and never perform status request completed. I'm missing something here.

    Thanks in advance.

    Here's a useful query:

    Select orchprocess.id, orchevents.id, request.request_key, request.request_status, rbe.rbe_beneficiary_key, request.request_model_name, rbe.rbe_entity_name, ost.ost_status, usr.usr_login, request.request_creation_date

    and request.orchestration_process_id = orchprocess.id

    and orchprocess.id = orchevents.processid

    and orchevents.name = 'CheckProvisioningStatus. '

    and orchevents.status = 'Pending'

    and)

    (request.request_model_name = 'Disable provisioned Resource' and ost.ost_status in ('disabled'))

    OR (in request.request_model_name ("available resource", and "Self-application") and ost.ost_status in ('set', 'Enabled', 'Disabled'))

    OR (ost.ost_status = "Revoked")

    )

    order of request.request_creation_date

    By using the orchprocess.id and orchevents.id values, you can use this API to set the task awaiting completed orchestration:

    OrchestrationEngine orchEngine = (OrchestrationEngine) Platform.getService (OrchestrationEngine.class);

    orchEngine.setEventResult (, , EventResult()) new;

  • Rookie question: checking return to operation status

    I'm doing my first powershell script for vmware and I wonder how to check the status of an operation return.  Most of the examples simply assume that everything works as expected

    In particular, I use news-snapshot and remove-snapshot operations.

    If anyone can give me a pointer in the right place in some documents, I'll be happy to leave from there.

    Thank you!

    First of all, you can examine the $? and the $error variable.

    PS error handling, see chapter of Tobias here.

    In fact, the complete series is ideal for the new PS users and intermediaries.

    PS you can also use the trap to capture errors and performance/display of return codes and error messages.

    Yasen gave a very good explanation on the use of the trap and the VITK in How to correctly catch the VimExceptions?.

  • Disconnect Internet

    Satellite P30 - Windows XP
    Initially using Tiscali dial up - all is ok no problems.
    Tried to install the WIFI router to AOL (for support work) - failed miserably so should all the re - install notebook software.
    Now internet dial up disconnects after 2 or three minutes, anyone know why? Will the re - install removed all parameters?
    The telephone dialler status is always connected, but PC is re-numbering? am at my wits end.
    Any advice would be welcome.

    Hello

    What you mean with re - install software notebook exactly? Have you used the Recovery DVD to reinstall the OS? If Yes, in this case the own operating system is installed on the HARD drive.

    Your ad is a bit confused and I know exactly what you want to do and how you try to establish a dial-up connection (using windows dial-up or some AOL software).
    To establish the WIFI connection to the router, you can use the WLAN Windows settings or WLAN client, but in this case the option WLAN Windows MUST be disabled. Be very careful about this.

    If you use the WIFI connection to the router you n t need any kind of dial-up connection. The connection will be established automatically by the router.

    Thank you very much

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

    It seems that your CUBE config is correct. The CUCM sends a PROMPT to provide at the beginning now. This means that you have enabled the PSG on the SIP trunk. The codec sent in the INVITATION is G711ulaw. In order to change this, go to the SIP trunk and search "PSG preferred from Codec" and replace it by default of G711ulaw, G711alaw. If all goes well, which does the trick for you.

    HTH.

    Kind regards

    Stefano.

    If you cannot send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support

    If the link doesn't help you contact your telephone operator, MMS is a function of carrier.

  • Qosmio G30 - RAID may not reflect new 500 GB HARD drive

    I have installed 2 new identical 500 GB hard in my Qosmio G30 with Windows XP.

    The system works well, but the disc cannot be mirrored. Report of the Raid Controller is 'Normal Operation status.

    This disk cannot be used for mirroring because it is outside the management of the RAID."

    Who can tell me whether it is a disc error or is the drive of 500 GB to big for the toshiba with Windows XP raid controller?

    > Can anyone tell me if it of a disc error, or is the drive of 500 GB to big for the toshiba with Windows XP raid controller?

    Hmm. I m not very good, but it could be possible that the 500 GB HARD drive is too big for the mirroring of the mode.

    But have you tried to change the mode in comforter Toshiba RAID you might find in Toshiba Assist-> Protect Fix & -> RAID Console

    Check if you can switch to the mirroring.

    By the way; RAID-1 is defined in the BIOS?
    Usually, when you use RAID-1 configuration, the RAID is set to mirroring. In this case, the operating system recognizes the reduced ability to both hard drives (in your case, it is not important since you are using the two 500 GB HDD).

    Check it!

  • Satellite M70-159: how to set the APM mode on the HARD drive?

    Hello.
    I have Toshiba M70-159 and I have problem with my HARD drive. My power to drive (FUJITSU MHV2060BH) down from 2 to 5 min... I put in Toshiba Power Saver "Never."
    I now read http://www.fel.fujitsu.com/support/disk/manuals/m60_product_manual.pdf and I see maybe APM I put.
    How can I configure Mode APM?

    1.11 advanced Power Management (APM)

    The hard disk automatically switches to the mode according to energy saving the
    setting the APM mode under the inactive state.
    The APM mode can be selected with a number of sector register of ALL
    Control FEATURES (EF).
    The disk complies with the three types of modes of the APM which a command
    from the host is necessary.
    EN = 05 h: enable APM
    SC = C0h - FEh: Mode-0 Active Idle? Idle low power
    SC = 80 h - BFh: Mode-1 idle assets? Low power idle (default)
    SC = 01 h - 7Fh: Mode-2 inactive assets? Low power idling? Standby
    EN = 85 h: disable APM (Game Mode-0)
    Active Idle: The head is in a position of extreme inner disc
    Middle. (VCM Lock)
    Overview of the unit
    1-14-C141-E224
    Low power Idle: the head is unloaded the disc.
    The spindle motor.
    Standby: the motor stops.
    In Mode APM-1, which is the default APM mode, operational status moves until it
    Finally reached "low power idle."
    Table 1.7 Advanced Power Management

    2 mode 0, 1-0, 2 s 10.0 - dry dry 27.5 10.0 - 40, 0
    When was the maximum period during which the hard disk waiting for orders
    exceeded:
    Mode 0: Mode shifts affection Active Active Idle in 0.2 to 1.2 and low
    Inactive power in 15 minutes.
    Mode-1: Active status to Active Idle mode in 0.1 to 0.2 seconds and
    low power idle in 10.0 - 27, 5 seconds.
    Mode 2: Active status to Active Idle mode in 0.1 to 0.2 seconds and
    low power idle in 10.0 - 27, 5 seconds. After 10, 0-40, 0 seconds in
    Low power idle mode goes into sleep mode.
    Note:
    The default values for these settings are reflected in the values of WORD 91 of the
    Command IDENTIFIER. In addition, APM mode is initialized with the Mode-1
    (the default) to power off.
    The above mentioned is time until the transition to each mode of power based on the point
    that the reader becomes a State of waiting for order.

    How can I set Mode APM to disable EN = 85 h: disable the APM (Set Mode-0)

    Where do I put? Please help me.

    Hello

    You can use either the Toshiba Power Saver that controls also the APM mode or you will remove him this tool and then you will use the Windows power management.
    Here, you can change the settings for the APM mode.
    Unfortunately the other options to disable the APM Mode are not known to me.
