CUCM (Cisco Jabber) - VCS - MCU (failed appeal of SIP - SIP)

Hi all

in our Videoinfrastructure, there is a little problem with cisco jabber client registry on the CUCM to our MCU.

The MCU is inscribed on the VCS.

If I make a call my Client of Jabber Cisco SIP call has failed. I call the number 4925488XXX. The callingparty is the 25203232.

In the CUCM, there is a Routepattern who translated the «Called Party Number» number = 8099 (this is the SIP Trunk for VCS).

Called Party Transformations:

Called mask = 8XXX

Take the numbers Instruction = None

Prefix =

Called number = 8099

In venture capital, there is a transformation for the 8099 dialed.

The MCU is registerd with [email protected] / * / on the VCS - it's self attandant.

In the Cisco Jabber client I never receive video or audio of the MCU AA - it looks like the call's not connect.

If I spent a glance in the VCS, I see the appeal as active and connected.

Also, I traced the call made by the VCS in debug mode.

Do you have any hint for me where I can troubleshoot further? It's a question MCU or CUCM or VCS?

Good bye

Stefan

Hi Stefan.  I would probably run a Trace SDI on the CUCM as well.  Seems the cancel is coming from CUCM side and end the call.  To check that your possibly fall on: CSCty07061, I could run the trace of the SDI and see after reception of 180 ringing of venture capital if he tries to do a DNS query for @mcu.

The entries may look like:

| 1.3508793, 63, 100, 2 ^ 10.52.36.15 ^ *.

11:20:09.377 | / / SIP/SIPDns (2,72,1) / wait_SdlDnsSrvRecordRsp: received specified SdlDnsSrvRecordRsp is - 1. 0, 0, 0, 0.0 ^ * ^ *

11:20:09.377 | / / SIP/SIPDns (2,72,1) / copyRecordRspToRecordReq: query retry SRV as a 1 request | 0, 0, 0, 0.0 ^ * ^ *

11:20:09.377 | / / SIP/SIPDns (2,72,1) / wait_SdlDnsSrvRecordRsp: hostname (DNS A or AAAA query called a query SRV Fail) = mcu

--------------

If that's what your race, false address to solve the @mcu would be required for the call to go forward.  I have this based off the coast an explanation here, but cannot actually ensure that it's what your run in.  But check the trace of the SDI AFTER the 180 ringing and see.

I hope this helps.

  • Cisco Jabber with VCS

    Hello

I VCSC and TMS in the network, there are of the endpoints configured with SIP and H323. VCSC are not in the field.

Now we have to enter Cisco Jabber with the VCSC. What are prerequisites them?

First it requires license for Cisco Jabber on VCSC?

We need to join the VCSC domain?

Our VCSC is version 6.1 and TMS is 13.

Yes, you will still be able to authenticate users JabberVideo locally, 'right', you won't be able to use NTLM.

  • Integration of video telepresence, Cisco Jabber

    Hello

    How are you?

I have a question, can Cisco Jabber video join a standalone VCS? or is it also a TMS? on his page it is said that a requirement is the MSDS, but if a customer has a VCS with TP EP registered him, he wants to allow video jabber as well on the network and wants to know if it can be done without the need to obtain an MSDS.

    can someone help me?

    Please

    Sincerely,

    Dante Verastegui

For a demonstration of the concept starter pack a VCS may be feasible, but if you start with

CTS systems, I would say it is a nogo

You use CUCM for CTS systems, have the VCS - C for your internal network where

JabberVideo and MX200 can register and then the VCS-E for external/b2b communication and

Maybe external registration + TMS to manage.

The requirement for growth of each message, I suggest you really join Cisco (partner). :-)

  • What is the difference between the video of Cisco Jabber of jabber, WebEx, Cisco

    Hello

I started reading about Cisco jabber for a few days. I couldn't make out the clear disctiction between Cisco Jabber, WebEx and Cisco Jabber video. What is the difference? Also the one who uses the API of the other? What is APIs that WebEx Cisco Jabber or Jabber user video using the WebEx API?

    Thanks in advance :)

    Does this help: http://www.cisco.com/web/products/voice/jabber.html

Jabber is a BRAND name for a range of products to run on a variety of devices.  Mainly desktop and mobile.

    It requires not more CUCI.

WebEx Connect (with CUCI Connect) is/has migrated to Jabber

    CUPC is/has migrated for jabber

The Jabber SDK is very powerful (url above understands this as well)

Jabber for telepresence is the old MOVI (Mobile Video) of the Acquisition of Tandberg and more than one piece of theater for VCS registration and control.  But most of the jabber brand above 4 video.

There will be subtle differences between different brand of jabber clients, so don't read a J4Windows guide and think it's the same for the iPad or Android for example).

But its great.  Head to head with Lync.

  • Cisco Jabber with Cisco multi-party Shared more Licenses

    Hello

I'm looking for a Solution to video conference for approximately 4000 employees. Currently the customer uses Cisco's Jabber for video calls from point to point. The main requirement is Ad - Hoc videoconferencing by any employee at any time. I looked at both meeting of Cisco and Cisco TelePresence Server server. The two solution requires more or licenses more pluralistic multi-party Personal shared. The customer won't buy a PMP license for each user. Their requirement is multimedia resources shared so that any employee can initiate an ad hoc conference.

Now the question is: can we use Cisco Jabber with multiparty licensing shared?

    Thank you

    Mockus S

    Yes, it is quite possible.

The only singularity is with PMP + which applied slightly differently than the head of the Orchestra/vTS. This does not seem to match your use case since you intend to buy only SMP licenses +. From version 2.0 (1) CMS, PMP + licenses - which are less expensive than SMP + - use only if: a) the space belongs to a LDAP user with a PMP + license for which they are responsible; or (b) If a user LDAP with PMP + assigned to them joins the Cisco meeting App space as an authenticated user. In all other scenarios, including ad-hoc escalation with CUCM licensed SMP + is consumed. This is different from that of head of the Orchestra/vTS, which were also able to understand the right to the user for ad-hoc calls.

  • GW ISDN Cisco with VCS control

    Hi Experts,

I'm new with Cisco ISDN Gateway 3200, and I will integrate to the existing video network managed by VCS control with the endpoints and MCUS registered as SIP.

Here is an example of the existing video network numbering plan:

SIP URI endpoint: [email protected] / * /

MCU SIP URI: [email protected] / * /

    ISDN GW H323 alias: 54xxxxx

I came up with these questions:

    1. for us intergate ISDN GW on the video network, we must save as H323 on the right VCS?

    2. to call scenario as a point endpoint SIP or MCU calling to one ISDN endpoint via video, how the call flow? Make the registered endpoint/MCU SIP point as SIP on the VCS can dial directly on this endpoint ISDN? Or they will call first the H323 number of ISDN GW recorded on the VCS then routed to an auto attendant of the ISDN GW?

    3. How about ISDN endpoint SIP endpoint?

Please send me a sample of guide and the configuration of the ISDN GW and VCS about how we could improve the flow of calls work on the call scenarios mentioned.

    SIP---> ISDN

    ISDN---> SIP

Thank you very much for the help.

    Best regards

    Acevirgil

    Hello

    1. For us to intergate the ISDN GW on the video network, we need to register it as H323 on the VCS right?

Yes, it's true. This isn't the only method, but it is the most used and most easy way. I suggest you use it.

    2. For call scenario like from a SIP endpoint or MCU calling an ISDN endpoint via video, how's the call flow? Do the SIP endpoint/MCU registered as SIP on the VCS can dial directly on that ISDN endpoint? Or they will dial first the H323 number of the ISDN GW registered on the VCS then routed to an auto attendant of the ISDN GW?

In this case, you will need to ensure interoperability the call in VCS. No matter what SIP endpoint can dial numbers ISDN, and then VCS will route the call to the gateway h323 format, only the number with any ' @domain.com ' and the call will be interoperability. The flow would be something like this:

Point endpoint [sip] SIP----> - VCS [H323]---> Gateway ISDN

    3. How about from ISDN endpoint to SIP endpoint?

The same concept is applied. ISDN gateway sends the call in H323 for VCS and interwoks VCS the call and sending SIP endpoint. Something like this:

    SIP endpoint<-------[sip]--------- vcs=""><--------[H323]---------- gateway="">

With regard to incoming calls from gateway ISDN to VCS, there is one important thing to consider. You basically have to methods:

    • You can configure the ISDN gateway to route calls to the auto attendant, then users will be able to recompose the verse numbers of internal endpoint for the auto attendant
    • You can configure the ISDN gateway to use DID (Direct inward dialing), in this case, you create routes to the gateway which maps each ISDN number to an internal endpoint registered to the SCV

Both methods work fine, however, when using auto attendant, it is very important to implement a scheme of toll-free fraud prevention. Take a look at this thread:

    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/message/3971947#3971947

Regarding the guide, it is not a simple step by step explaining, but the Administrator's guide provides a good explanation on how to configure the dial plan in the gateway and how to enter the doors of VCS. Check out this guide:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/infrastructure/isdn_gw/admin_guide/isdn_gateway_printable_help_2-2.PDF

    I hope this helps.

Is the title above you get the exact error message?  "DURATION failed - appeal of Pure functional virtual error '

How long have you received this error message?  Did you run a full scan with your antivirus software or any removal of malware recently?   If you haven't, I'd do this first and let us know the status.

    Dear Cisco support community,

    as seen on http://www.apple.com/ipad/business/work-with-apple/cisco/

Only the spark is described here. There will also be a better integration of the call with Cisco Jabber?

According to me, they're trying to transmit only apple ios 10 best interactive aura to the customer of the spark. This does not mean that jabber for iphone will be less functional in ios 10.

  • Cisco Jabber CDR analysis and reporting: the lost packets and other info call stating "Null."

    Hello

I have recently setup Cisco Jabber Setup and make a video call between Mac and Windows laptop. When I go to the CDR reporting, I can find my call details when I search after the end of the call. However, I see lost packets, jitter, latency as Null.

I looked in the support forums and made all the required configurations such as going to service settings and allowing the call diagnosis. I also uncheck CDR load only one box, but not seeing any information other than the ip address and the details of the bandwidth of VideoCAP.

    Am I missing something?

No, the CMR is not implemented in any current version of Jabber, the next version of Jabber will be the first to have * some * RMC capacity.

What you see at the present time, is the expected behavior.
