Cursor crazy

I am a journalist and typing very quickly, usually using an Apple Mac.
I have just started using a Toshiba netbook on the move and am pleased that it aside from the crazy jumping cursor.
I will be typing in full skin only to discover that the cursor jumped in another part of the text and began typing in this text is a complete jumple of words.
It's infuriating.
When I e-mail he began also to send the message when I'm in the middle of a sentence.
Responses can give clear and simple instructions as I am a new user of PC and its different tweaking a Mac.

It was because I touch the mouse pad I typed. I solved this problem by opting for a separate USB mouse and I have disabled the mouse pad. I suppose that it is possible to learn to type without touching the mouse pad. Is to ensure that the striking surface is at the waist so your arms are pointing down. Which will reduce the chances of accidentally touching the mouse pad.

    Hi Chris

For me it s certainly a clear case
Move your mouse cursor crazy and jumps on the screen?

These behaviors are mainly related to a faulty keyboard or touchpad module.
    It must simply be replaced

The question is now; How much is?
Satellite 1130 is an oldie and repairs might be more expensive than the laptop world.

In my opinion, you should ask the ASP for details and then must decide what to do.

    Good bye

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes to the computer?

    Method 1.
Disable the touchpad on your laptop and check. You can also try to use an external mouse and check if the problem persists. Download and install the latest drivers touchpad from the manufacturer's website.

    Method 2.
Check to see if the problem exists in Safe Mode, if the computer works as expected in mode without failure, then we can solve the problem in the clean boot state.
    a. refer to the article below for the procedure safe mode in Windows XP
A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    b. you need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow the steps as explained in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.

    I hope this helps.

  • The random crazy cursor behavior

    I have an iMac (27 "3.5 ghz i7 QuadCore - 3 TB FD - 4 GB NVidia GTX - Yosemite 10.10.5).

This is the mouse cursor has recently started to jump and clicking randomly. I searched the internet and this Council extensively, and then I find a lot of those who suffer from this problem, I can't find a coherent solution.

    • This happens regardless of the mouse I use.
      • It happens with No mouse and no keyboard.
    • He can't start, but starts happening after 5 minutes and gradually gets worse.
      • Think this is heat, I installed TGPro to monitor the temperature; nothing seems to be very hot.
    • I have reset NVRAM and SMC.

Are there other causes/solutions possible for this behavior? It makes the computer completely unusable, of course.

    Thank you!

    What other devices are attached?

  • Since El CApitan, I have episodes when you sign in that the cursor becomes crazy and enters all kinds of letters.

When connecting have had episodes where the password was caught by the repeated letters entered automatically, requires the computer to be closed and restarted. last night the computer began to make incredible noises as if a radio was playing. What is going on?

There are several possible causes of this behavior. Please take each of the following steps that you have not already tried until it is resolved. Some may not apply in your case.

    1. follow the instructions provided in this support article, so this one, as appropriate. A damaged or defective power adapter could be the cause, even if it's the right kind.

2 simultaneously press the four corners of the trackpad and release. If there is no effect, it is likely to be temporary, and in this case the device must be repaired or replaced.

    3. disconnect or turn off each Bluetooth or USB pointing device, one at a time, testing as you go. You may be able to identify one that is defective. By a pointing device "," I mean a device that moves the cursor, trackpad, mouse, trackball, or tablets. A regular keyboard isn't a pointing device. If you have a desktop without a built-in trackpad design, at least an external pointing device must be active at all times.

    4. If your model has an infrared receiver for use with an Apple Remote, turn off .

    5. start in safe mode and test, preferably without launching any third-party application. If you do not have the problem in safe mode, but it comes back when you restart as usual, stop here and post your results. Do the same if you cannot start in safe mode. If there is no difference in safe mode, continue to the next step.

6 reset the system management controller.

    7. If you use a mouse or a trackpad, Bluetooth, investigate potential interference sources, including 3 USB devices.

    8. a swollen in a laptop battery can encroach on the trackpad underneath and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, it is probably the reason. The battery must be replaced without delay.

    9. a faulty device or a damaged cable can cause the built-in trackpad to a MacBook to behave erratically. If you use the wired devices, disconnect them one at the time and the test.

    10. There is also a report of movement erratic cursor caused by an external display that was plugged in but not turned on.

    11. If you use transfer, disable it in the general pane of system preferences.

    12. If the mirroring of airtime to a TV is turned on, turn it off.

    13. If none of the above apply, or if you have another reason to believe that your computer is remotely controlled, pull it out of the network by turning off Wi - Fi (or your Wi - Fi access point), disconnect a Bluetooth network connection, then unplug the Ethernet cable or a USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the movement of the cursor stops at the same time, you should suspect an intrusion.

    14. an appointment of 'Genius' in an Apple store to do the machine or the tested external trackpad.

  • MY CURSOR GOES CRAZY! __

I have this problem in all my laptops - Toshiba (windows 7) (Vista before the upgrade), Dell latitude D620 and D630 (Windows XP PRO) - when I'm typing in Hot mail or using Microsoft Word or Open Office.org. I don't think that this problem is specific to any hardware (mouse or other), but more probably to Microsoft software, that I could not identify.
Most often, the cursor will jump to a place in the paragraph or sentence that I just finished typing, or sometimes he climbs to somewhere in the window/screen laptop that I couldn't find.  This was NOT before a few or several years. It began to happen, maybe for the last 3-5 years in Windows XP. Also, it happens in my Toshiba laptop, as well in windows before vista and now windows 7, when I'm with hot mail or Microsoft word. It also occurs in my Dell Latitude D620 and D630, with windows XP PRO using hot mail or open Office.org.

SO, I'M SURE THAT IT IS A MICROSOFT PROBLEM, SO THEY SHOULD SOMETHING ON THIS SUBJECT. All of the above examples just happened while I'm typing this comment. It of just frustrating and slows down the work that you do!

  • My cursor went crazy!

    Hello

When I insert the text in Photoshop, my cursor does not follow the text - there's just the beginning of the line. All the letter are correctly added, but when I add a character such as @ # $ & * etc, it is automatically placed at the beginning of the text. I tried a few suggestions, but the options are not available in CC.

    Thank you :-)

    Reset the text tool:

If this does not work, try a reset preference. CTRL (Cmd) + Alt (Opt) + shift immediately after the launch of start Photoshop. Click 'Yes' to reset the preferences file.

  • Touchpad cursor gets hard to control "woozy"

Recently, I went back to using my Mac Pro 2009 after using a Macbook to the past two years for most. I upgraded to El Capitan first, and I decided to start a new account because I've been migrating the same account for 20 years. So all is cool enough for most.

I had used a magic with the MacBook Pro touchpad because I hated the portable computers clean touchpad. Having become accustomed to the use of the touch pad, that I decided to use it with the Mac Pro. I use the touchpad, even for the last two years.

Here's the problem: I have not yet identified which triggers it but what is happening is that the slider will frequently and suddenly become what I can only describe as 'under the weather', and I hope it makes sense. It becomes slow and its response and tends to overcompensate sometimes I have to be very careful and precise and slow in my movements when it's like that because if I use my hands the way I would normally be the cursor will overshoot.

It does not have it for long periods of time, but he does not often. And it makes me a little nuts. Any ideas?

Really?  No one has an answer here?  I'm going crazy... and now my stylus is dead, so I am forced to use the touchpad! (I can't use a mouse because of repetitive stress injury)

If anyone has any ideas, please share!

  • suddenly I'm asking as a new tab and not google search - driving me crazy

Ask the home page is driving me crazy. I want my google search customary as that which opens when I press on the new tab. I was everywhere on the internet to try to fix this. nothing works.

Since there are different options/settings of the standard page in a new window or a new tab, could you confirm if you have one or two of these problems:

    • Ask if poster at the start, in a new window (Cmd + n), and when you click the Home button
    • Ask appears when you open a new tab in the same window (Cmd + t)

For these two problems, the first thing to check is an unwanted extension. You can view, disable and often remove the extensions on page modules. Either:

    • CMD + SHIFT + a (Windows: Ctrl + Shift + a)
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then take a critical look at the extensions listed on the right side. If in doubt, disable or remove if possible. Remember that all extensions are optional, none come with Firefox.

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

Which allows you to regain control of your homepage and view the standard Firefox new tab page?

If so, here are the details on how to restore your preferred homepage:

If you find that it works in your session (Cmd + n and give you good home page), but after leaving Firefox and commissioning once again you have bad home page, look for an optional settings file named user.js in your profile (personal settings folder) folder. Firefox uses the settings in this file at startup to override your preferences since the previous session. You can check and delete the file by following the steps in this article: How to fix preferences that will not save (there is a specific section on the user.js files).

Display Google in a new tab page requires a different approach. From Firefox 41, the browser.newtab.url parameter is no longer used because it was constantly attacked by malware. Now, you need an add-on to change the new tab page.

Here are a few options (I'm learning more all the time):

    • If you are already using the "Restorer of classic theme" or "Tab Mix Plus" extension: There is an option somewhere (!) in his dialogues of the parameters to select another page in the new tab.

Use only one of these methods at the same time, otherwise there may be conflicts and dysfunctions.

Setting up substitute new tab and new tab custom

After installing one of these extensions, you must use the Options page to set the new desired tab page (instead of use subject: config).

Open the page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a (Mac: Cmd + shift + a)
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the side right, find the new tab replace or custom new tab and click on the Options button. (See first screenshot attached).

    New tab Override

Depending on the size of your screen, you may need to scroll down to enter the address in the form. (See second screenshot attached). For example:

    • (Default) page thumbnails = > subject: newtab
    • Blank tab = > subject: empty
    • Built-in Firefox homepage = > topic: welcome
    • Any other page = > full URL of the page

Then tab or click this form field and you can test using Ctrl + t.

    Custom new tab

It is easy to enter your favourite homepage address. If you check either of the boxes, the expansion will set the focus in the page as well, for example, the cursor will be in the Google search box. (See third screenshot attached). I had to leave Firefox and start it up again before new custom tab started working, but this may have been due to tests so many extensions back to back.
