Data arrows blackBerry Smartphones

Hi, I need help.

I've recently updated my desktop v4.5 software and after upgrading applications as he said, I found the arrows of data in the upper right corner turned on constantly. Is it possible to stop this?

You have tried soft reset... pulling the battery for 30 sec. ? What kind of camera you use? The OS is released for your business?

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot-~ 5 minutes...
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

N ° of BB devices lack a complete email client on them. Instead, they depend on the BIS service to provide messaging functionality. BIS is active when you have also listed Internet/personal email where you currently see only Enterprise. All services of BIS, are sent to the device via data carrier network... contact them are therefore the right approach to discover why their network is no longer to deliver to you the services that you pay for.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Counter data of blackBerry Smartphones

Can someone tell me if the Blackberry 8110 has a counter of data so I can see how many bytes have been sent or received?   I can't find one anywhere on the phone.   If there isn't one, is there more that I can control what is my use of the internet?

    Thank you

There is no option to track usage of the BlackBerry smartphone data. Download application Mini Moni to your phone to track the use of the data.

  • An other 'Wifi without data plan"blackBerry smartphones Question - Rogers Canada

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and blackberries in general... Please bear with me.

I am a student. Currently, I have a voice plan base on a LG Xenon with Rogers in the Canada. It includes minutes and unlimited texting. Enough for me.

I am looking to buy a Blackberry Curve 3 G/9300 off someone. I just want to throw my SIM in there so I can use my normal plan with the phone. My understanding is that I can phone Rogers and tell them to block all data, if I get no charge on my Bill. Fine. However, I also understand that the 9300 is a wi - fi phone.

Let's say that I get the 9300, contact Rogers and tell them to block all data on my plan.
Can I still use my browser in a Wi - Fi hotspot? How should I do? (I know that I read somewhere that you need to configure to be about to access and not talkspot... If someone could help me with this that would be great).

Also, I read that, so that I am still able to use a wi - fi connection, I need to have data 'on' in the phone. If the data is 'on' in the phone, but I've blocked data with Rogers, can I still use a wi - fi connection? This would prevent the costs of data on my Bill?

In addition, I understand that I will not be able to receive multimedia messages without a data plan. Once again, if I'm in a wi - fi hotspot... Can I receive these messages from photos?

I'm sure it's a question very well known and well hated to you all and I'm really sorry to ask, but I just need some clarification. I don't want to be stuck with a big Bill with I ever intend on paying data charges. If someone could help me with this, I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you very much!

  • The data of blackBerry Smartphones used per month

Does anyone know if there's a newspaper somewhere in the amount of data has been used and downloaded on the network?  I have an 'unlimited' plan Orange in the United Kingdom but the implication says that this is limited to 250 MB per month.  I wanted to check how much I use so I'm not on it.

    For example in Verizon USA

You would call * 3282 or * DATA
However, it is dependent on the service provider. It's only for Verizon in the United States. If you do this on other networks, he'll probably tell that the call cannot be completed as compound or something similar.
You will need to call your provider and see if they offer something similar. Also check if there is a way, you can view it online.

There is a third application of the part called Mini Moni

Web site: Mini Moni - Traffic monitor for BlackBerry
    Download (office)

I just bought the 8330 and cannot migrate data from PALM ver 4.2 to the blackberry.  It does not recognize this software.  What can I do?

from my understanding, device switch Wizard only works with some Palm trees or Palm Desktop. His best effort type software. The BEST way is to get your palm or palm desktop data into outlook.

  • Restoring data problems blackBerry smartphones

I have problems with the restoration of data on my Blackberry Curve 8330. I am running BB DM 5.0.0.11 and on my v4.5.0.160 of the device.

I have a backup file recorded since the time that I am trying to restore my contact list and my list of messages of. I'll list my procedure below to get the error message:

Open the Desktop Manager, type password device, click Backup and restore, click Advanced, click on the file-> open, select the file and open it and I get a message that says "Error - data was not recognized by the office."

Recently I reinstalled windows to fix my slow computer, I reinstalled DM on Blackberry.com website. And it won't let me open the file.

Does anyone have advice on this? Thank you!

You're right, that's exactly the same problem. I'm surprised I missed this thread, I've combed over here for an hour! To keep an eye, thank you!

  • Data messages blackBerry Smartphones RIM appearing on handheld

I received messages from the network of the RIM on my handheld. They say that the message is used to carry data between your Blackberry handheld and a home server and advise me not to remove, move or respond.

Anyone has an idea as to how I can get these messages do not appear constantly?

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

Reason: You have installed Desktop Manager by using the option 'Enterprise' or "Desktop Redirector".

Step 1: If you do not use redirector or company, you must uninstall Desktop Manager and then reinstall it using the BlackBerry Internet Service option.

Step 2: On your device, go to: Options > Advanced > maintenance book and remove any service books for [office]

  • Fault data/internet BlackBerry Smartphones?

Hello, I just received my bb back from repair, and when I came back it was locked once again to another carrier. I unlocked it with code MEP that the carrier provided and am now running the phone with O2 UK sim card.

Im not sure if the above is relavent, but since ive used the phone this time, none of the internet or data services will work. I have a data plan on my contract (unlimited) but when I try to connect to the internet through the browser I get the following error message "error occurred during parsing XML: end tag does not match the start tag 'head'." also when I try to use windows live messenger I get an error message saying: service not enabled for this laptop! ""

any help would be massively appreciated.

Once a device is unlocked, it cannot be "re-locked."

Then, you probably actually got another device in return, probably a remanufactured unit.

Do you remember the PIN of the old appliance? If you which to the AXIS of the current system, I bet that you will find the different pins.

That all means, your SIM card and the data Plan with O2 is not connected on the new device. Sign in to your account on O2 BIS and the use of the section change the device to enter the new code PIN and IMEI.

  • Transfer data of blackBerry Smartphones in your old phone again using Desktop Manager

So I had an older curve, and now I have a brand new Curve 3 g.  The old phone is broken and I can't use the keyboard, but it remains recongizes the software when it is plugged in and I can load - that's why the data could not be transferred from my old phone to the new at the Verizon store.

So I want all contacts, my lists of things to do/pads, etc. transferred into the new phone with the help of Blackberry Manager on my PC (Vista).

"So I chose the ' device transfer Assistant" in the main menu and follow instructions - I get an error message that says, basically, I "should remove some applications on my existing device, because there is not enough space on the new device to their homes:

I don't understand this - the new phone has 256 MB of memory from 32 MB in the old phone, and I don't even have apps out there except facebook (I tried to delete my apps on the phone and he showed me as having been facebook...)

So, I tried unchecking various boxes on the screen asking me what I want to transfer and even with them all unchecked it always says there is not enough room for the transfer...

Am I doing this wrong?  I want to just my contacts and lists of tasks transferred to the new - I don't know what that thing on 'requests' and these words, but I want just that my data is transferred...

I will say that the Blackberry Manager application I have is very slow, not intuitive, and generally a huge pain in the * beep * work with - I think that a slick like Blackberry tech company would have would have a much better than this 'Blackberry Manager... "program  I am impressed with the Blackberry phones, but fear using this Blackberry Manager whenever I need to (for example when new ringtone on my phone)...

Many thanks for any help people can give me here!

You could go to www.blackberry.com and download/install the latest version. That may solve your problem.

However, have you tried simply to make a backup of the old device and restore on the new?

  • Recovery of data on blackBerry Smartphones

One of our service technicians performed a software update and was unable to save its data. Of course now he has lost all its data on its Storm 9530.  Is there a method of recovery available for free?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

If the update process proceeded, one of the first steps (after saving) must wipe the BB of all data and all... which means that there is nothing to recover. Your tech has now learned what it is from the latter at the old of this old statement IT:

    • There are two types of device of calculation... users those who have lost data and those who will do so.

Backups are simply not as an option. I heard no service (free or paid) that could retrieve data from a BB that comes with living what you describe.

    Good luck!

  • Problem with data services blackBerry Smartphones

I want to use internet on my phone that by wifi, so obviosly I disabled data on implemented mobile network services. Problem is when I'm home or anywhere where I can connect to a wifi network, I get a message saying that there is no problem, and if it persists, I must contact my provider. I'm something wrong, is the solution?

For some strange reason, you can now navigate with your data disabled Services.  It is a new feature in OS 7 (or 7.1, I don't remember which operating system, it has been introduced).  There was a time where you need to Data Services is enabled for surfing, even just with a Wi - Fi.

However, I am happy that things are working for you now.
