Designjet Z6100: Z6100 - all defective cartridges

Hi all

This call began as does not - I got a power supply along and had to replace it.

As the complete printer initialization of the façade revealed that all inks X'ed out.

All diagnoses of electronic Module past right until he asked if all inks are installed in the correct position. Press OK and you get a 13.0:10 error. (this error is not in the manual).

When I check the info of the ink cartridge, they are all dated 1969-12-31?

I contact HP technical support and cross it with the technology, and he suggested command and installation of a cable ink Tube/skitters and APS.

I ordered and installed parts as suggested and before finishing initialization, the printer asks to insert the ink cartridges for ink system installation (I assume so that the tubes can be purged). When the inks are installed all the defective flash (not X this time, just all of the flaws). I contact HP and they have revive me several diagnoses and they want an EWS print info. For some reason I can't access. The Tech asked me to do a reset EEROM, which I wonder that we will lose all the data that might help. Reset of the EEROM made. I send along the EWS now which is a no data except that inks show dates 1969-12-31.

After several discussions and emails with HP Technical Support we will now replace the PCA Printmech.

I really hope this solves the problem. If I ask the following:

Whay do we not come to this conclusion earlier and would it not have been a possible solution before replacing the tubes and the APS?

Thanks for listening. Any thoughts on this woukd be appreciated.

See you soon,.

Roy

UPDATE:

Replacing the Printmech PCA has solved this problem.

See you soon,.

  • Designjet z6100: Z6100 do not print correctly

I tried to print to my DesignJet z6100 after update to windows 10 but the machine will not print to something greater then 14 ".  I have a 24 "roll loaded on the machine and when I try to print with photoshop, I select a page 16" x 20 "size, but it prints just 14" and then cut the rest of the image.

The printer is reading so I know that's not that media to 24 ".  It seems that im missing some menu items in the print settings that I can not select a custom paper size dialog.  my software support HP tells me that my drivers are up to date, it reads as a pilot class HP designJet z6100 42 inch.

Any ideas what could be the cause, or is there something else I should do to print on this machine?

OK so I finally understood this point, I have listed the steps below in case anyone else had this problem.

    1) download the drivers from the HP website

    (2) unzip the drivers in a folder somewhere you can find it (I put it on my desk)

    3) go to start > settings > devices and click on add a printer or a scanner

    (4) after scanning, an option that says 'the printer that I want isn't listed"will appear. click it

    (5) select "add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.

    (6) select your printer is connected to the port (because mine is networked, I selected the IP address of the printer that was rated) and click Next

    (7) select "have disk" at the bottom right

    (8) select 'Browse' and that it points to the folder that was unzipped earlier.  There should be a file that appears, select it.

    (9) from here must install a driver called "HP Designjet 42 inch Photo HPGL2" it's the one you want.  You can share or not, I've selected do not share

The "class driver" is the software an HP and windows tries to install, but it has very limited functionality.  Honestly im a little upset I fgure on all this for me.  the HP less could do is put som instructions for installation with their drivers in a readme file or on the site.  Instead, they just give the files you and waiting to discover by yourself.

  • Photosmart 7520: my photosmart HP 7520 do not print: I replaced all the cartridges and always use HP ink cartridges

My 7520 gives me a message that says: "there is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn the printer off, then on. If the problem persists, contact HP. »

It was printing fine, but then it looked like it was getting low on ink. Black began to turn gray and striated. I replaced all ink cartridges. NOTE: I ALWAYS use cartridges HP, new out of the box. I followed your instructions step by step on the site, but it seems to be moot, since I tried everything. I will be so angry if I spent $ 70 on new HP to put in this printer ink and she took a dive. Please suggest solutions. I really should get this impression, am on a deadline.

I work with a MAC OSX El Capitan system

    Hello

I suggest remove you the printer cartridges

Turn on the printer without cartridge. It should start and see the lack of ink.

now, first install black and see another error.

If this isn't the case, restart the printer and do the same for the rest of the inks

She solves the problem or help to identify the defective

  • CP1700 - fault - attn: replace all four cartridges!

    Hello world

My printer has served me VERY well for years. I have original cartridges (all the use by date), and all test ok print heads

The printer just reported all four cartridges need to be replaced

Clearly, something else has all broken, or obtained the dough...

The clues of what I might try?

    THANKS in advance

    FIXED

I suspect that the battery is down below the fully functional voltage - its an old printer!

DIFFICULTY = completely remove the internal battery of the watch-like (large)

For photos of similar printer/battery: http://www.land.netonecom.net/tlp/ref/letters/hpPrinters.php

Here's what to do to remove the battery

Lift the cover, look on the left side (side opposite to the print head and cartridge areas), it is just visible towards the rear. I could not quite put to work (safely) so decided to go back, as follows:

Battery REMOVAL PROCEDURE = from the back of the printer remove the rear feeder by pressing the two big buttons and lifting of the body of the printer. Then remove the dark grey cover on the right (where all cable connectors crossed) by removing the two screws Torx of T-20, one on top and the other under the magazine platform, that you just removed. Drag the grey cover will cost about an inch and then it goes out completely. Under this cover, you will see a vertically mounted metal plate that has three screws Torx T10 you will need to remove. Once you did, wriggle and tip that plate (slightly) outside (be careful not to dislodge cables or connectors), just enough to see the battery. With a small screwdriver, taken the battery under his arm. THROW IT OUT. Look like upside down!

My printer is now fully functional again - although currently, he grunts more than it used too - I think I dislodged some dirt/dust - anyway, it looks like it will continue to serve me well for a little longer

    I hope this helps someone

  • HP Designjet Z6100 42 inch large Format printer is not all the printer menus

So, I've been running some diagnostics and maintenance of my printer recently, including a maintenance #2 replacement parts together, and I'm unable to find the service on the printer menu.  Most of the parts that I replaced (for example, sensor line) indicated that I would need to run a calibration for the newly installed part (calibration of the sensor line).  He says find the calibration solution in the submenu of the calibrations of Service.  The problem is my printer does not have this menu anywhere.  My firmware is up to date as of January 2015 (when I've recently updated).  My printer is having a few problems print quality I would try setting the menu of calibrations.  Anyone has an idea why my printer isn't this submenu, even if everythwere online (including HP) said that it should?

By ensuring that the nozzle adjustable blue on the PIN is not pushed too tight, and eventually clean the ends of the axes and the regions in that axis fits, I've never had this problem on this model.

You select the choice of appropriate support in the menu paper during the installation of this special paper?  Is only on this paper that you have this problem?

The menu system can sometimes be difficult to penetrate, now a key too long or not long enough can cause do not enter service mode, there are two ways to enter mode service, one for telephone support for customers, one for the technicians.  I will paste this again to see if it helps.  I would like to make the calibration of paper feed.

Once the "Ready" message is displayed on the front panel, scroll to the installation of the printer.
The icon Options"and press the Enter key.
    2. Once inside "Configuration of printer Menus" menu, press UP or down arrow key and the
Button cancel together. You are now in the Service Tools Menu.
NOTE: If ALL calibrations should be performed (for example, when the two HARD drive and)
the ISS PCA have been replaced), you must perform them in the following order:
    • Calibration under vacuum.
    • Drop detector/Service Station calibration.
    • Line sensor/Scan axis calibration.
    • Paper advance calibration.
    • Platinum Blue Line Calibration.
    Press OK to
    confirm the selection
    Exhaust and
    Key
    to select

  • Designjet z6100: z6100 paper jam

Have a friend with a Z6100.  Said he was printing something and transport just stopped.  Indicates a paper jam error and a 86:01 error.  He said that it is certain that without paper in the paper path but cannot get the error to clear.  He jumped on the paper path.

I've never seen the machine so I'll try help diagnose from across the city.  86:01 said that it is an axis of analysis too short.  But manual says also can be a problem with encoder or transport servo problem.  Will probably go and do a diagnostic test, but I was wondering if anyone had a paper jam error code they could not erase.

    Thanks Mike.

Ran enjoyed and looked at this area and it turns out that the belt has shredded and stuck in the pulley.  I managed to get it unlock and the wagon moved freely so was able to restart and paper jam disappeared.  But the stuck belt again so looks like we'll replace belt.

Thanks again for the quick response!

  • DesignJet z6100 PS: Serif Poster Designer cannot recognize Z6100 PS printer

The printer's IP address has changed.  I've updated the properties of the printer to the new IP address.  Windows 10 sees the printer and is connected.  Print utility for HP sees the printer and gives me all the details, so I know that it is connected.  Whatever happens, Serif Poster Designer Pro does not see the printer.  On a computer, it "will not forget" the last IP address of the printer - I even uninstalled and reinstalled the software and I am still screwed.

    Any help?  :-)

    Thanks in advance,

    / R

Hi Mike, thank you very much for gettting back to me.

I just kept trying and finally managed to do work.  I don't really know and can't say what has changed.  I removed all traces of all of the printers on my computer.  I used administrative tools to ensure that all IP addresses and ports of printing have been removed from my computer.  I have re-uploaded the HP driver and installed package.

When you set up the printer, I have use the standard workflow "add a printer", I descended and added as a network printer and created a new port to this IP address.  AS I WAS PRINTING a TEST PAGE, I quickly exhausted and sent something Poster Designer Pro to the printer.  It is printed.  The tail wagging, I printed six mor prints, all different sizes and had no problems.

The only thing that intrigues me, now, is that the PDP will not see the details of the printer when printing.  For example, he can not see the size or paper type.  But it's not a show-stopper.

You are a scholar and a gentleman for the follow-up Mike.  Thank you very much for your help, I really appreciate it.  If you sent me a Bill, I'd pay it.  :-)

I cacelled a job in the queue while in the processing stage. Now, it seems to be stuck on Cancel.  I waited for an hour, tried to restart the printer.  After restarting work goes back to the State of treatment and freezes there as well. Work done through the web interface, is not a local computer problem.

Anyone know how to clear the cue, process, etc.?

    Fine thanks

    Hello

Unplug the lan cable, disable the job Q and then restart the printer.

If employment barrier once again, do a restore factory.

  • Officejet Pro K5400 defective cartridge message

Replace a black "defective" by a new cartride.   Still getting the message "defective".   Full poster ink tank.  Pinhead have been cleaned and displays well.   The printer prints the report.   Help/advice please.  With the help of Mac Lion

According to the lights are flashing, consult this document lights flashing for it.

This document offers some troubleshooting options that can help you. However, one thing I would try is a reset power coercive. Powered up, remove the cartridge from boredom. Close the ink access door. Do not turn off the printer with the power button. Instead, remove the power cord at the back of the printer. Wait at least 30 seconds. Then reconnect the power cord to the printer. Turn on the printer. Open the door of ink. Take a look at the location of the ink, just to be sure, that there is not a large excess ink in the stall. Reinsert the ink cartridge. Close the door. Once the noise stop, turn off the printer by the power button. Then turn it back on. If all goes well, will erase the question. If this is not the case, see if this document offers help.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500: Office Jet Pro 8500 blue print as rose/violet-all ink cartridges are full?

Something blue prints as a pink/purple color.  Recently replaced the Cyan cartridge.  No other cartridge is the replacement level yet.

    Ideas?

    Hi @KFDLou,

Please try these steps and getting back to me.

As indicated in the document "If there are still defects on the page after the print head has been cleaned once, go to solution to replace one or two print heads."

Solution 6: replace one or two print heads

If you have done all the troubleshooting steps and you are still experiencing a problem, replace the printhead.
