CP1700 - fault - attn: replace all four cartridges!

Hello world

My printer has served me VERY well for years. I have original cartridges (all the use by date), and all test ok print heads

The printer just reported all four cartridges need to be replaced

Clearly, something else has all broken, or obtained the dough...

The clues of what I might try?

THANKS in advance

Kevin

FIXED

I suspect that the battery is down below the fully functional voltage - its an old printer!

DIFFICULTY = completely remove the internal battery of the watch-like (large)

For photos of similar printer/battery: http://www.land.netonecom.net/tlp/ref/letters/hpPrinters.php

Here's what to do to remove the battery

Lift the cover, look on the left side (side opposite to the print head and cartridge areas), it is just visible towards the rear. I could not quite put to work (safely) so decided to go back, as follows:

Battery REMOVAL PROCEDURE = from the back of the printer remove the rear feeder by pressing the two big buttons and lifting of the body of the printer. Then remove the dark grey cover on the right (where all cable connectors crossed) by removing the two screws Torx of T-20, one on top and the other under the magazine platform, that you just removed. Drag the grey cover will cost about an inch and then it goes out completely. Under this cover, you will see a vertically mounted metal plate that has three screws Torx T10 you will need to remove. Once you did, wriggle and tip that plate (slightly) outside (be careful not to dislodge cables or connectors), just enough to see the battery. With a small screwdriver, taken the battery under his arm. THROW IT OUT. Look like upside down!

My printer is now fully functional again - although currently, he grunts more than it used too - I think I dislodged some dirt/dust - anyway, it looks like it will continue to serve me well for a little longer

I hope this helps someone

  • hp6520: I use all four cartridges on my hp printer 6520 or I can use black

Let me use my black cartridge on my printer hp 6520. Do I have to use color those also to print

All cartridges must be installed (and have available ink).  Some ink is used during startup to prevent clogging of the nozzles. See here for more information on using ink.

This printer has a permanent print head that can be damaged if a cartridge is removed and the left of the printer, or if the printer is turned off with a removed cartridge.

  • Replace the ink cartridges and not shown on the new copy of the outs ink

I have a HP 8500 printer a9110. I just replaced all ink cartridges 3 colours (black cartridge is always good). After replacing, I tried to print and all that comes out are white print out without color or very light tone. I tried to go to tools clean and align the heads. Cleaning worked but received failure on align option. I turned off and unplugged the unit kidnapped and released new ink cartridges. Also, I removed the two heads and cleaned with a soft cloth. Everyone knows this problem before. Any help is appreciated.

I don't think that should have used a lot of ink.

Although it shows that 60%, I think you should be able to print as well.

Sorry I don't really have much information on it, but I'm glad you were able to solve your problem!

HOW CAN I REPLACE EXPIRED INK CARTRIDGE IN THE PRINTER ALL IN ONE HP OFFICEJET PRO L7780?

I DO NOT PRINT A LOT AND I HAVE TWO PRINTERS. THE EXPIRATION DATE ON THE CARTRIDGE, THE PRINTER DOSE NOT LET ME PRINT. I KNOW THAT THERE IS WAY TO OVERRIDE THIS PROBLEM, BECAUSE ON MY PREVIOUS PRINTER THEY REPLACES THE KEY.

The error message itself will remain but will continue to print. This message will remain until the cartridge is replaced. Substitution is the printer printing always regardless of the error message on the display screen.

No black is printing.  I tried all the troubleshooting tips including the alignment of the printer, clean the print head. Remove and reinsert the cartridges.  I replaced the cartridge several times during the past year is nothing new.  Can't understand why black will not only be printed.

    Hi, Happytohelp01.

    Thanks for your kind response,

I use a black and white HP Laserjet 1010.

I am trying to print a text, the printer does not have a digitization Center.

Yes, this is the first time that I had no problem with this printer.

The toner is melted and begins to run out, so I replaced it with a new replacement cartridge I bought the printer about three years ago. Later, I shook and reinstalled the old cartridge, which seems to work very well with no black spots. The new toner would be obsolete?

I have a Photosmart D110a, using an iMac running OS 10.7.4 (Lion).

In the middle of printing, I received a message from a problem with the color cartridge. When I open the cartridge access door, the transport of the cartridge does not return to the Center so that I can change the cartridge. The printer status panel displays the message "ink cartridge access door is open." When I close the door, the power button blinks and I get a message on the printer, 'Short of printing ink cartridges or damaged'. Center of HP messages on my office poster "printer cartridge failure." Printer cartridge has failed. Check the status Panel on the printer for more information.

I'm using remanufactured cartridges that have never given me a problem in the past.

  • printer says to replace the ink cartridge, even though it is new

    Hello!

Could really use some help with my printer. I recently bought new ink cartridges and I replaced the "old", but then my printer started to show on the compensation carriage jam error messages, even though it was clear and since then, he has constantly shown this error message on ink. He wants me to replace an empty ink cartridge to continue printing, it won't work otherwise.

Ink, that I placed in the printer is totally new and authentic, but there is no answer, he displays the same message to two ink cartridges, which makes me realize that it of not really discern who is new or empty.

If I remove them both, it tells me that there is an empty ink or damaged.

I tried the reset of the printer, stop it down and turn, but the same message is displayed immediately. The light next to the screen flashes all the time.

When I replaced the old cartridges I did not process the printer, I replaced them all first and then let him treat. Maybe it was wrong to do so?

    Any help is appreciated!

It seems to be a problem with either the hardware of the printer or the replacement cartridge. If it is the cartridge, it should be covered by warranty (if it's authentic HP) given that you bought at just. Now, I think that your best shot would be to contact HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you.

The only other option would be to try an another new cartridge replacement for rule in or out the cartridge at fault.
