    I bought this printer in America and I took it with me to Brazil, where I live now.

    The scanner in it works very well, and also the test page prints fine.

    But when I try to print my own pictures, he used impression. Its like the printer simply ignores the document. My computer tells me the print job, or sometimes didn't display any status at all in the print list. And the power light fades and returns slowly to normal.

    It has new cartridges, and I can't seem to make it work. Function print and Scan Dr. I have all possible updates and its all supposed to work very well.

    Can you guys please help me? I contacted the support to the Brazil, but told me that I should talk to HP WE.

    Its a shame that the product does not work, this printer has been barely used...

    I understand that the printer is capable of printing a test properly page. This seems to indicate that this isn't a hardware problem and it is more likely to be software related problem.

    Due to the slight dimming, I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.

    • Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
    • Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.
    • Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

    Please confirm that you have the printer connected to the USB 2.0, rather than a USB 3.0 port.

    My HP Deskjet 1055 seems to print fine, but I can only sometimes so he could analyze. HP scanning program often does even not when I double click top. I managed to get in after rebooting my system, but even when I do, it will say something like "Operation cannot be completed" when I click on scan (about 50% of the time - I managed to scan documents). I have to disconnect and reconnect the USB cable when this message appears, which has me thinking that maybe it's a thing of connection, but like I said, printer is generally very well (I use the same connection and USB when I print).

    The server error could be linked to the question of the power that you seem to have got. I suggest that you turn OFF your computer and then PUT off the printer. Wait about 2 min. power your printer first. Let start the printer all the way to the top. Once he is on the way, then turn on your computer. This will allow the computer to see the printer as it turned and he should get rid of the server error.     I bought a Deskjet 1055 today, not yet connected the USB by the manual of instructions, obtained regarding the insertion of the disc in Windows 8, but now I'm STUCK - on the instructions on the screen at all. I just gor a list on the screen whose files are on the disk.   What should I do next?     Recently installed this printer on a new desktop using the original CD. Installation went without any problems and subsequently updated Web site. I wanted to check the alignment and clean cartridge print heads, but lacked the box tool.     Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand that you have recently installed your HP Deskjet 1055 to the computer that is running the Windows 7 operating system. I noticed that you said that you have installed the software and drivers using the CD. Let's go and follow the steps below:

    1. disconnect the USB key if you use a direct connection.

    2. remove the HP software DJ 1055 uninstall from the control panel of your computers an option of the program.

    3. restart the computer.

    4. make sure that all the software DJ 1055 disappeared from the list programs, but also your HP folder listed under all programs in your Start Menu.

    5. now, go ahead and download the software and drivers for your DJ 1055 (DO NOT connect USB until the software prompts you to):

    I tried several times to install my HP Deskjet 1055 (1050 J410) printer on my laptop with the same result.  I'll see 'details' and it is for me the little screen that says: "Setup error".  I use the disc that came with the printer.  I bought the target.  I am operating Windows Vista.  I had another computer people look at my laptop for other things and worry that one of the guys deleted some essential things that are required for installation.  I don't know what they would be, but, for the system to operate more quickly, he said "you do not have needXXXX, so I'll remove it.  Setting up a printer should be very easy, I'm not sure why this wont even passed step 1 of 7.

    I understand that you want to know if you can use the Deskjet 1055 with a Bluetooth adapter or a wireless print server would work.

    The specifications indicate that this model is USB only.

    You can try to use Jet Direct.

    Another suggestion that may or may not work is to connect the USB port of the printer to the router.

    I see that you are having problems, being able to print from the computer. I will definitely do my best to help you.

    Usually running printing and scanning doctor would remove the job stuck in the print queue.

    I would like to do a hard reset.
    Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.

    This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

    Clear printer spooler files and select the Spooler Service.

    1. in desktop mode, press the Windows key and R at the same time, to show the command line run. Type Services.msc.
    2. double-click on "Printer Spooler" in the Services list.
    3. click on stop, and then click OK.
    4. press the key Windows and R again, type % WINDIR%\system32\spool\printers, do a right click on all documents and left click to delete the job.
    5. press the key Windows and R still once, type Services.msc
    6 double click on "Printer Spooler" in the Services list.
    7. click on start. In the Startup Type list, make sure that "Automatic" is selected and click OK.

    Try to print again.

    Try the following steps to see if the problem persists.

    My product is a J410e Deskjet 1055.  My OS is Windows 7.  I buy a new computer about a year ago & I don't remember having problems like the one I have now with my old computer.  This computer had a Windows XP operating system.  I'm trying to find how to find information telling me what my ink levels.  I tried to open this product on my desktop icon, but it does not open.  I uninstalled the software for this product & re-installed two different times of the disc that came with the printer, but I still have the problem.

    I would try uninstalling software and download the drivers from the Hp website.

    Drivers software & when selecting drivers choose features full download.
