• Tune Up my Mac software safe to use on desktop Mac computers?

  Hello team Apple,

  I found this http://www.tuneupmymac.com/Features#.V-cFmDKZOV5 software and was wondering is it worth to download this software to tune up and remove unnecessary records on the Mac desktop. For now, it works well, but I often wonder if it runs more slowly so that was when I bought my Mac end 2011. I was told to stay away from MacKeeper.  I have approximately 427 GB of free HD space and 16 GB of RAM. The RAM is usually between 7 and 8 GB and some programs and open. I closed usually programs or apps if not using them. My OS X is currently El Capitan. I think I'll be able to download macOS Sierra in autumn.

  There an honest answer as to the ability of software to clean, optimise and delete records with users of Apple Mac? Comments, suggestions or advice will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

  Macs have built in procedures that automatically run and do what is necessary. More 3rd party 'tune up' and 'cleaning' software cause more problems than benefits. You won't find many people here their recommendation.

  I would like to get remote access to working from home

  While the pc at work is locked (I don't want someone to tuch computer while I'm away) not nessecerily when I work remotely with this

  or in other words:

  to remotly connect to the computer while it is locked and unlock

  How can it be done?

  I remember using net meeting and I had to mess with all sorts of parameters such as ip etc.

  is there a simple way to do this?

• All my desktop icons disappeared from my Windows 7 Desktop

  I created several icons on Desktop 4 computers after installing clean computers with Windows 7 Profession (whether with the 32-bit or 64-bit). After a few days, some of the desktop icons disappear. However, when I click on the toolbar of office at the bottom of the Windows desktop, icons that disappeared from the Office were always present and available in the list of desktop toolbar. I've seen many users have the same problem on the Internet but no solution to the problem. Any suggestion for the fix.

  I found the cause of her mysteriously disappear from the Windows 7 desktop icons and the reason why the Show Desktop icons now and then get UN-ticked.

  INFRARECORDER is! Try for yourself, when you start Infrarecorder and close the bottle, go take a look at 'See the desktop icons', it is not checked (but the icons are still there). Check it on again and start Infrarecorder... He is not checked again.

  This Windows 7 "bug" is irritating for me since the beginning and now I found the cause: it is Infrarecorder that causes this problem.

  Test it and please let me know and spread the word :-)

• Remote Desktop RV082 VPN encryption error

  We have two rv082 routers. One at our main oice and the other in a remote office. Both have the latest firmware installed. They are connected by a VPN tunnel. All our computers have WinXP on them. I often use remote desktop via the VPN from my laptop to my desktop computer at Headquarters with no problems.

  Now, I installed Win7 on my two machines and now get an error after a few seconds to a minute after I start a desktop session remotely by VPN. "Due to an error in data encryption, this session will take end." if I try a desktop session remotely when I'm at the main office (not through the VPN), there is no problem. I use the same computers as before. The only thing that has changed is the operating system.

  Remote Desktop between computers Windows XP through the VPN still works fine. For now, I have remote desktop on a server Win2003 R2 via the VPN and Office remotely and the server for my machine Win7, which is slow to say the least.

  Both computers are connected to the network directly not wireless. I tried to turn off the packages extended on both machines, but that did not help.

  This is driving me crazy ideas?

  You asked if there is no consequence for changing this setting and that the answer really depends on what the correct MTU should be for your connection. Forcing this MTU may cause you to fragment packets. You can run a test of your network to help determine what would be the most ideal for your connection.

  Open a command prompt on a computer on your local network and get an external address to ping on internet. Run the following command where x.x.x.x is the external IP address.

  f-l 1500 x.x.x.x ping

  This will send a ping with a packet size of 1500. If that MTU is not correct, you will receive a message that says "packet needs to be fragmented but DF parameter. If the MTU is fine then you will get the result of your standard response. If you get just fragmentation error keep test by running the same command, but reduce the size of the packets until you get normal responses. I hope this helps and you can see that 1500 is the MTU that is perfect for your connection.

• How can I transfer files selected for iPad a friend?

  I have a friend who has an iPad (and a computer). She takes a French class and has a couple of CD for this class. She would like to be able to access this content on his iPad. I can rip the audio CD, but do not know how to get them on an iPad (which is NOT my own). I guess I can import the files in my iTunes library, but what's the next step? I don't want:

  1 synchronize his iPad to my iTunes library

  2 erase what's currently on his iPad

  3 transfer more specific files of SOUND CD

  With more people choosing to abandon entirely with desktop/laptop computers and use only an iPad, this does not seem like a strange requirement. I guess we'll go through iTunes for it (this is why I post here), but would appreciate a more direct solution.

  You can send files to it, or put them on a cloud (iCloud, Dropbox, and many others) service and give its permission to access and download.

  It is possible that the warning you received was a false reading or the updated driver in not in the HP system yet.  If you wish not to receive these alerts, you can unsubscribe to it.

  Due to the risk of overheating it s not possible to increase the speed GPU.

  You should consider that mobile graphics cards cannot be cooled as graphics cards for desktop PC
  Why?
  Because of the available space inside the chassis of s for laptop.

  There is simply no space for the huge cooling modules (cooling water system, etc.) as desktop PC computers have.

  After a few weeks of scratches all about untangle sceurity perceived a few questions with email etc. - yesterday I belive I discovered a big problem and need some help please.

  I hope that I write from own machine because I believe that desktop home computers are compromised.

  Main PC is running XP and has a connection via a cable ethernet via a bt Home Hub2.

  Yetsrday while watching my network connections I noticed something called "Internet GATEWAY" above my LAN icon.

  It showed that I had been connected for over 2 days (a little more than 2 hours for the LAN) even when the PC off and was send/receive many packages and seemed much faster than my LAN. problem: I click on this & it won't let me log out or see properties / settings - I get a warning about 'connection is currently unavailable '... I really worry that it is someone else on my PC - is this right? How can I fix it? and it is a matter for the Police.? I'm really worried. Other symptoms, I noticed - my windows log on 'his' dissapraed a & in the event Manager-, there is no security - only since 2006 newspaper.  Very slow PC. Running SuperAntispyware - no problem after removing a Security Center option turn off a few days ago.  Really gratfeul l to help guys. Am at my wits end. Very garteful using anyones.  I guess that my internet connection and PC was hacked/compromised.

  To be clear, you remove all networking services, but just the part that detects and controls "gateways" as your router.  This removes the "Internet gateway" of network connections icon, but should not do something else.

  If a right click or double click on the "Internet gateway" just produced a message "connection is busy", which makes me think that something is not configured correctly - either the router (bt Home Hub) has turned off UPnP (or does not really support) or the UPnP in network services service is not installed, or something else.

  I don't think that someone else is controlling your connection, but as I said, the other symptoms you describe indicate a malware problem continues and you need to take steps to ensure that your machine is free from malware.

  • Did you the latest changes on the computer?
  • What happens when you connect the external hard drive to the computer?
  • You are able to access the other USB devices on the computer?

  Method 1

  Hi, Halima, tried the two 1 + 2 method. No joy.  To answer your questions:

  • When was the last time that the external drive is recognized by the computer?  Not recognized for the first time.
  • Did you the latest changes on the computer? No.
  • What happens when you connect the external hard drive to the computer?  "Unrecognized USB device. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it. "
  • You are able to access the other USB devices on the computer? Yes, OK on USB PC camera and three other player flash of 4 & 8 GB.

  Hi Halima, problem solved. Got a confirmation of my small voice try a USB port at the back of the PC, from the front two, it didn't work.  And, Viola! Nice day. Namaste.

• Photosmart Premium C310a worked wireless for 2 years is suddenly dissconnected

  I have been successfully using my Photosmart C310a for 2 years.  I used a day earlier this week, and the next he said: it is disconnected. The State of the network printer shows that it is connected to my network - the same network, use my laptop and desktop.  Computers are simply not able to communicate with the printer.  I tried to use a solution that I read on the forum by entering the ip address of the printer in my browser, but the browser comes up with the error that it cannot connect to 192.168.1.102. I tried HP and Scan Dr. Printing without solution (because it is impossible to connect with the printer - although it does not find the printer for me to select.)  I reset my router, unplugged the printer and reset to the factory settings.  I tried to disable the firewall, but I did no changes firewall and the printer worked until earlier this week.

  Unfortunately, it doesn't help that my black ink no longer works, so I can't print the diagnostic reports. The cartridge is new and worked fine before this cut happened.  Ink level is showing as complete.  I tried "clean cartridges" twice, but when I tried "align printer" alignment failed.

  I love this printer and do not overwork it - I hope someone can help me...

  I think I have fixed both my problems!

  I completely restarted and reset my router and then my printer has been reconnected.  Then I could get into the tool box and clean the print heads to get black print again. And has then been successful in aligning the printer.

  Also, I decided to try a solution given by 'PrintDoc' in one of his posts to someone who has a similar problem of disconnection.  I put a manual ip address.  I hope that this will solve the future problems of disconnection.  Here are the instructions:

  The best solution that works sometimes is to set a static IP address:

  -Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
  -Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
  -Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
  -On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you know what it is, set an IP address outside this range but not exceeding 254 (the last number of the address).  If you don't know it, enter the current IP address.
  -Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
  -Let the gateway and DNS white.  Click on ' apply

  Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

  If this does not work, change the channel of your router to 11.  Yes, that sounds strange... just try it.

• My office network change constantly 2 to 3 to 4 to 5 several times during the day.

  I have 5 desktop wireless computers connected to my Server EHR through FIOS and changes in office constantly network since network 2 to 3 to 4 to 5 to 6-7.  My staff is unable to access the necessary software from the server, and it is VERY frustrating that this happens.  How can I delete all networks, except that I want my other computers to join?  Other computers are wired with Linksys and its small modems.  Help, please.  Go crazy.  Sharon

  My workplace recently removed our desktop Apple computers and replaced by MacBooks. I want to disable my photoshop on my old computer and activate on the current laptop. How can I do this?

  It may depend on which version of Photoshop, it is.  If this is a standalone version as CS6 or earlier, then you just need to open this application on this machine and choose Help-> Deactivate.   If it is a creative cloud installation then you must disconnect the Desktop Manager.
