  • Data of a RS232 device capture

How to capture data from a RS232 device to my APEX application. Specifically, I use a bar code scanner and I need to know how to get barcode data in an item (say P12_barcode) in my application. I tried the keyboard emulation and the problem is that I have to set the input focus whenever I need to retrieve the barcode of an item, so I have to spend in RS232 mode, but how do I get these barcode data now?

    Help, please...

It seems to me that the focus setting was a two-step process

    The attributes of the page,
on "display attributes", select "Cursor" "do not focus cursor.
on the "Body HTML attribute" enter something like: onload = "first_field ('Px_Barcode'); »

When it comes to the scanner, you may need to consult the documentation. For us, the manual had a barcode in it that when parsing, caused to be defined to include a "enter" after each scan.

BTW, another thing I found useful by doing this had the value of the selected field on the load so that everything that is scanned replaces what is in the field. For it you go to the properties for the element, for example Px_Barcode and on the tab "Element", in the 'Attributes of the HTML Form element' field, enter: onFocus = "this.select () '"

I'm happy to be of assistance. I've been a developer APEX a couple of years now. And I know that a few times I met a post saved me a lot of "reinventing the wheel". I hope that my learning curve continues to level them to return the favor to the community of APEX. Of course, the real challenge is still of time :-)

I have a HP Photosmart all-in-one C4750 printer, a HP Pavilion dv6 - 3243 phone cl, operating system windows 7 and a G from Linksys wireless router.  The without wire is turned on, the printer is on, but the sign says the printer is offline.  Until this happens sometimes, I had trouble scanning.  When I tried to check my ink level, I received a message that the wireless was not connected?  A few days ago, I changed the color cartridge and when I printed the alignment page, it would not scan.  So I knew that the problem of scanning.  I tried to print troubleshooting instructions and it wouldn't print.  That's when I found that it was offline and I have not been able to get back on the line. I know it sounds confusing, but I'm not very tech savvy.  Please try to hekp. I'm starting to think that perhaps it would be easier and faster to simply uninstall the printer and everything since the beginning of the 1, I still have the original disc if that's any help.

Well, after your part of todays message I was low enough.  I spent the afternoon just clean my laptop, thus freeing up disk space, defragment the hard drive, solutions etc.  Then, I decided to try the download procedure again. When I got to the part where I chose what I wanted to download I read descriptions and recommendations of which one to choose.  This time I chose the "Deluxe" one"(not their word) instead of the ordinary. After the 18 + min. download instead of 7 + for the other time, I started on the facility holding my breath all the way.  You can imagine how elated I had to have the message and the congratulations that the Installation has finished and succeeded.  What a grueling few days.  I really want to thank you for being so patient with me and get familiar with how to proceed, even though everything we have tried has failed.  It is by learning how to navigate these pages that I was able to succeed.  By all means I click on this icon that gives you good comments for your time and effort.  Thank you once again.   PS please send me a final note.

  • Message to "Capture device offline" when you attempt to add additional clips from HDV camcorder, in CS5

"Device capture offline" message when you try to add additional clips to an existing project in first Pro CS5.5.2.

Previous capture has been accomplished, but, then, in trying to add additional clips of the same device, it failed.

Every 40 minutes of excerpts of 185 was initially captured by using Sony Vegas Platinum 11 Moviemaker, without error. Additional clips of mt2 were then imported successfully into Premiere Pro after indexation, which conform clips, and they play perfectly well and high quality CS5.5.2 at 1440 x 1080i.

Why the Capture device would be offline, where no physical alteration has been made to the equipment?

  • Problem with "Offline Capture device"

I just installed a new HDMI monitor 2nd on my computer.  He seems to have created a strange problem.  I have a Sony DSR - 11 hooked to my computer by firewire, and if I create a new project in first CS5.5 and try to capture something, the screen displays "device capture offline." But buttons control all playback functions, fast forward, rewind, etc.  It's just that I do not see an image in the preview window and the record button is grayed.  However, if I open an old project, the capture function works perfectly.  Any ideas on what I could do to fix this?

    I thought about it!

I recently captured video from an HDV camera.  The default setting for the capture has always been the value 'HDV '.  When I changed this back to the "DV" everything started working again.

    Original title: webcam problems

purchased the software igambin movie2 stop motion, as well as a logitech c500 webcam. The webcam works but the software cannot start device capture. The support of igambin seems to think that it might be the interface or something access to webcam all the time. Any ideas out there. Thank you

    Hi reefwatcher,

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. You are able to use the webcam on other applications?
    3. You receive an error message?

    Method 1

To check if a program is installed on the computer interferes with the software, I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

  • Why can't I capture video from the device under windows 8?

I have tried a myriad of programs to capture video from my Hauppauge wintv-hvr 950 on my computer windows laptop 8. No program does seem to work so I went back to the proven windows movie maker 2.6, except for a device capture option is is no longer there. Does anyone know how I could fix this problem?

You have the latest drivers/software installed (from 10/06/2013)?
    http://www.Hauppauge.com/site/support/support_hvr950.html

Yes, I just did, but the import of video in movie maker 2.6 options still don't understand, "Capture device".

Well, first of all – Windows Movie Maker 2.6 is for Windows Vista.  If you managed to make it work on Windows 8 - which is not supported by anyone and if you use Windows Vista: wrong forum.  ;-)

Second - if you're running Windows 8 (as indicated by your line of topic and forums that you have chosen to display in)-indeed the next question would be: did you add the Pack Windows 8 Media Center to what you run, Windows 8 Pro?

Followed by: have you contacted Hauppauge support?

Their own web page to buy the card does not list Windows 8 as an operating system supported:
    http://www.Hauppauge.com/site/support/support_hvr950.html

"What operating systems are supported by the WinTV-HVR-950?

    • Windows Vista (all versions), 32-bit and 64-bit
    • Windows® XP, XP Pro, or Windows XP Media Center Edition with Service Pack 2 (or higher)
    • Mac OSX (with the Elgato EyeTV software)"

And finally - what are your system specs?

    • 2.2 1.8 GHz Centrino GHz P4 or equivalent (minimum).
    • 2.8 CPU clocked at GHz for analog TV recording with MPEG-2 (minimum).
    • Adapter with 64 MB of RAM (minimum) graphic display.
    • Sound card or system.
    • USB 2.0 port (will not work with USB 1.1).
    • CD-ROM drive (for software installation)

  • Two different HP printers on home WiFi network went offline

Have a HP Deskjet 3050 J610 series and a (rather new) HP Officeject 8600 on my home/office WiFi ditches.  Each is associated with a laptop of Lenovo under MS Windows 7 Home Premium. They are all both passes in offline mode, and I can't get back them. Cisco router SmartSys lists them as devices of the network well as offline (both). I rebooted the router and I've deleted and reinstalled the 3050 at least but still can't it connect.  What should I try next?  Thank you.

When you configure the 8600 by using the control panel you have the possibility to use dynamic or static IP.

Dynamics uses the address IP provided by the router DHCP while static is chosen by you, but outside the range the router DHCP.

8600 Panel control print Network Config. page.

    Check the 802.11 wireless setting.

  • HP Envy 5532: Printer shows offline

I have a HP Envy 5532, and was connected by wirelessand successly worked fine but suddenly went "offline". The printer showed a wireless connection. I rebooted the PC and router without result. I since then connected the printer directly to the computer via the USB port and I can see it in Device Manager, but he remains firmly 'offline '. Help!

    Hey @AWA1947,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject. I am pleased to hear that the USB connectivity issue has been resolved. With regard to the problem of wireless connectivity can I please have you follow the steps below to check if the computer and the printer are 'talk' on the network. Once that determine us if there is wireless I will guide you through the steps to resolve the error "offline."

Step 1: Remove the network copy:

Because the offline version of the network printer is not printing at all, I'll have you remove this copy.

    1. Open your menu Start by selecting the Windows icon at the bottom left of your computer screen or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of your keyboard to the right of the Ctrl key
    2. On the start screen, type devices and printers
    3. Click on devices and printers to the start
    4. In the printers and devices window, locate your copy HP Envy 5532 e-all-in-one printer (network) . Right-click on the network your printer copy and select "delete" or "remove an instrument."
    5. The only 5532 envy you want to display in this folder is the USB version.
    6. Once the network copy has been deleted please close the devices folder and printers

    Step 2: Check of connectivity:

Then, I will be having you check if your computer and printer communicate on the wireless network.

    1. On the front panel of your HP Envy, tap the Setup (key) button at the top right
    2. Under the Setup menu, touch Wireless option
    3. Touch Wireless details
    4. Take note of The IP address and the network name SSID
    5. On your computer Windows 8.1 Please check the wireless network that you are connected to ensure that your computer and the printer are connected to the same network. Avoid to connect to networks of comments. Also make sure that your printer and computer are connected to a network of 2 ghz. If you have a double router band it can broadcast connection times 2 GHz and 5 GHz. Printers are not based on connections to 5 ghz. If you don't know how to check this, you may need to speak with your router manufacturer.
    6. When it was confirmed that your printer and computer are on the same network, please open the internet browser on your computer
    7. In the address bar of please enter the printers IP address. Don't include not the www.
    8. Search this site. A Web site for your printer should now open. This is what we call the integrated webserver (EWS browser) printers
    • Opens a Web site for your printer: This confirms that your printer and your computer communicate successfully on the network. It is possible that the old copy of the printer on your computer network has a different IP address. If the IP address has changed on the printer, computers are designed to recognize this change and continue to work with your printer. However, in some cases computers will not 'see' the network printers more. In this case your printer will remain "offline" until the IP address under the software has been updated. Please proceed to step 4 below.
    • If a Web site for your printer does not open: This indicates that your printer and computer are not communicating. This may be due to your router blocks the communication, or invalid wireless configuration. Please proceed to step 3 below to resolve this issue.

    Step 3: Powercycle network:

    1. Start by unplugging the power cable to your router
    2. Once your router is unplugged, turn your printer off
    3. Then, shut down your computer
    4. After 30 seconds to 1 minute, reconnect your router
    5. Then, turn on your printer
    6. Turn on the computer

After a few moments, please check your computer to make sure that your internet connection is running again. Try browsing a few sites. • E3000 loser on multiple devices wireless connectivity

Problem with router Linksys E3000 (firmware 1.0.02). I have problems with the following wireless connections:

    iPhone 4G (female)

    iPod Touch 2 G

PC with Wi - Fi (adapter brand Linksys no)

NetBook Acer (not Linksys adapter brand)

It comes from the connection is interrupted and dropped, but the devices and the router DHCP clients table indicate that connections are always present. By interruption, I mean that no data traffic is transmitted.

IPhone 4 G to the my iPod Touch Wi - Fi my son and wife show that they are connected to the network home, with WiFi bars displayed, and the check mark is present next to the home network connection in the device for both settings. When I check the table of DHCP E3000 customers, two Apple devices are listed as with a connection. Yet the two devices to display network errors when you try to use any application that connects to the internet. By raising the wifi on each connection, the connection is restored to the point where traffic passes now. My wife and son believe it's after 10 minutes they encounter interruptions.

On the PC and NetBook, connections must be terminated and reconnected. I've not timed to see how long before the connection becomes problematic.

Interestingly, my ASUS laptop and my iPhone 4G do not have the issue, nor did my (Dell) laptop.

There is no time-out setting in the router config. Thing the closest is the beacon interval, but I don't know which way to adjust (up or down) to help the devices which are undergoing interruptions. I did not a setting of the interval... at this moment, everything is set to the default settings.

The E3000 replaced an old WRT54 (v2 hardware) router so that I could have a N router in the House.

    Thank you
    -Phil

How about you change wireless channel? If you do not, then you should try it. Using the two bands, 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz? If so, make sure they have different but unique SSID. Have you tried to remove the Security Wireless for testing?

  • Bluetooth always appears offline

After I successfully pair my cell phone on my desk via bluetooth... without music (in my case) is broadcast through speakers of the offices... I'll check on the device and it says it is 'offline '... I have paired and unpaired the phone to the PC on seven times without a positive result.

    I need help!

Thanks IYogi Tech support, I was able to get out of trouble. We went to:

    Through Control Panel:

    -Material and audio

    -Sound

-Speakers not covered as the main source for the sound...

Others may continue to turn off and on other sound devices to discover the culprit

  • Fort to freeze during the games with Windows 7 64 bit.

I got Windows 7 64 bit on my machine, with a nvidia gtx260 graphics card, with the most recent driver. (All other materials and drivers listed below in the dxdiag text). Since installing win7, virtually any game I play system will make hard-gel duration indeterminate (sometimes an hour or two, sometimes 2-3 seconds). Everything that is currently on the screen freezes in place, the speakers make a buzzing noise / growling midrange and the system becomes completely insensitive and requires a hard reboot (press the reset button on the case for the power of flash). The system power settings are set on "high performance". Nor my CPU or GPU run hot, both are well within their limits. The system does not generate error messages, it freezes just. Any help would be appreciated!
