DIO 6040E Port question

I have a PXI - 6040E DIO P0.0 (52 PIN) port is hooked up to a module OPTO - 22 G4ODC5 (TTL Input). When I run DIO Port COnfig.vi with map direction line the value - 1 (all the value entries Digital Out) it lights up all the inputs(PO.0-7). When I turn actually WE DO using DIO Port Write.vi the, it turns OFF. Tried to reverse the line maximum work don't wilt. All entries?

Hello lilocomotiv,

The behavior you describe is the default behavior of the E series. To set the States of digital lines see 266KK6YF knowledge base: affecting the default state of the digital lines on maps DAQ of E series.

    Hello to you all!

    I have a (fast) 2009 iMac 24 inch and I also own a (Mid) 2012 MacBook Air 11 inches.

I would like to know what cable MiniDisplay Port or love at first sight, I need to connect these two computers because although I had apple for most of my life I still know very well all the cables and other peirpherals that I need to connect both of these computers.

Please could you link the product me to apple.com/uk official or you may also connect with amazon.co.uk

We can't to anything by hanging the screen all ports; what you need depends on what you're trying to do by signing their other ports.

  • HP ZBook F0U66EA and integrated Thunderbolt port question

    Hello!

The Thunderbolt on HP ZBook F0U66EA port will work with the new Thunderbolt optical cable to 30 m? Or for only 2 meters copper cables?

    Tnks!

The zBook works with any cable Thunderbolt, copper or fiber.  Copper to Fiber Converter is in the cable itself, not the PC, and the cables can operate with any port Thunderbolt.

Fiber optic cables have a much greater range than copper cables, but they won't deliver power to the terminal, the terminal must be powered from wall.

  • Router Port question

I have a switch 6224 that is not configured with any VLAN special or routing. It comes as a layer 2 switch.  I have a Sonicwall TZ210 my firewall router connected to my ISP.  I'm running into some issues related to too many switches connected together.

I wanted to make sure that my sonicwall is connected to the appropriate port on my switch.  The guy who set up it connected the sonicwall LAN port to the port on the switch 15.  It is not setup like any special port.  Shouldn't it be plugged into one of the ports 21-24.  I have a plugged into 24 GBIC that connects to another powerconnect switch 2427.

    Thank you

Unless you have an optical fiber with a transmitter/receiver connection.  There is no physical reason why a cable must connect on a certain port.  You désigneriez the switchport mode configuration in order to establish functional connection.

Can answer you with your show run output and a description of your physical environment so that we can better understand or what is happening.

  • SPAN port question

Our security guys wants to snort installation on a Linux box with a SPAN port to capture all traffic network (not just traffic VM). What are my options? I think I should do VMDirectPath for a 1 GB integrated network interface and turn it into a SPAN port for the virtual machine. Is there another approach, I'm missing?

Snort will be on a VM with RHEL. I try to avoid using physical blade assets simply because we need a SPAN port. I think that my best course of action will be to use DirectPath to the network card of the snap in a virtual machine.

  • newbie Y560P laptop questions

Lenovo forums are very informative and I looked for answers to my questions and have found some but not all. I recently (St Patty's day) ordered an ideapad y560P. I should have asked these questions before buying but there was an e-coupon deal that ends the day of St patty, I had wanted a laptop pretty advanced for a while so I jumped. Life is not perfect!

    1. a clean install of windows is possible with recovery disks that Lenovo provides? If this is not the case, what is the best way to do it?

    2. the Y560P can fully utilyze the new SATA 3 SSD as boot drive? Void the warranty?

    3. wait for Lenovo to ship my laptop until the Sandy Bridge sata port questions/reminder are developed?

    4. someone here successfully using imaging software (like Acronis true image} on their laptops?)

Sorry for the newbie questions. I built my own desktops for years, but this will be my first laptop. Time passes! Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey, I'll do my best to respond to these:

    (1) actually, no discs are technically provided by Lenovo. Your system comes with a separate, partition that contains a recovery image. That being said, you can create a set of recovery disks by running their usefulness (comes pre-installed). When you use these disks, it basically as a duplication process. So yes, you can do a clean install, if you think it their image pre-built a clean installation

    (2) not sure about the 3 SATA drives, but drives does not cancel your comprehensive guarantee. I would always keep the original drive where the system needs to be sent, but I think that the RAM and CPU are considered as 'evolutionary customer options' and are therefore not guarantee-killers.

    (3) from what I've read, Lenovo has already stopped the lines with questions of Sandy Bridge. None of these units should be delivery to consumers. If I remember correctly, it only affected some of the i7 lines. If you have concerns, you can always call Lenovo with your serial number, and they can check if the unit is affected. However, Lenovo has been very quick to fix this, I just couldn't see their shipping defective units known to customers.

    (4) Acronis and Ghost work quite well, assuming it is a standard drive. I could not find any problems with people using either a product on the readers of the so-called "hybrid".

    Hope that helps a bit!

  • Setting port channel between UCS - FI and MDS 9124 (Mode F)

    Dear team,

We tried to create the channel of port between UCS FI and MDS 9124

But the port channel do not take action in mode F on MDS 9124

FI is in host FC end Mode

We have allowed FC uplink on FI trunking

We have activated NPIV on MDS

We have activated the MDS trunk

FI and MDS in default VSAN

To check that we have changed the way FI FC channels mode and switch port became active, but in E mode

When we enabled CF trunking of uplink on the port mode FI channels and FC Switching became active in mode TE

but in both cases above, showflogi database shows WWPN of SAN alone does not have the any fi.

    How to achieve this?

Have read that no need to change the mode switching mode of CF swicthing and keep FC Endhost way

SO how to channel ports with mode F MDS and FI (Display Mode as NProxy)

What is it has nothing to do with the MDS NX - OS version? (https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2179129)

If yes how to put as license for ports came with the camera and we don't have any CAP/PAK or license file as she came

    with license

    Also, we saw 2 files available for download (m9100-s2ek9-kickstart - mz.5.2.8 .bin and m9100-s2ek9 - mz.5.2.8 .bin b b) to use

    Thanks and greetings

    Hi Jo Bo.

What version of the software if your MDS race?

On your UCS do connect nxos and show ficelleStringString ficelleT inteface and find the mac address.

It is possible that you could be hitting the bug below. If this is the case, you may need to update the firmware on your MDS.

    Add MAC YES '002a6a', '8c604f', '00defb' for 5 k/UCS-FI

  • LabVIEW FPGA SPI accident - SPI OR IP address for example - R series OR

    Hello

I am trying to run the series R - sample project NI SPI FPGA Simulation.lvproj that comes with the SPI IP OR on a real FlexRIO FPGA SMU-7976R target with an attached digital adaptation NI 6581 B Module. The example is for a PCIe-7841R but I wore during my target FPGA, follow these steps and made additional changes to try to make it work with my set-up. I learned that FlexRIO FAMs CLIPs do not work with nodes in office had so I know I can't simulate the project originally planned so I will try to use FPGA to e/s node host side (open FPGA vi reference) to implement the actual hardware.

My first question concerns my configuration of the adapter module e/s and selection. I added the IO Module (NI 6581 B: NI 6581 B channel) for my project and selected the channels as shown in the table below. I have a real physical hardware connection as described below using two NI SHC68-C68-D4 cables and a break-out Board.

I changed the names as well:

I selected these DIO channels because I wanted the DDCA connector to be the master and the DDCB connector to be the slave. In addition, in this CLIP every eight channels of i/o has a write enable signal. I have not used the Port configuration because I needed 4 available DIO channels and I saw DIO0-3. Is my logic of selection of channel vs correct Port here?

Following the same strategy that examples FlexRIO/NI6581B, I changed the FPGA.vi to include initialization outside of timed loops:

And in the Host.vi I have a node reference FPGA and wired loops of feedback accordingly:

When I compile the FPGA and try to run Host.vi LabVIEW inevitably crashes with Crash Reporter below and must restart:

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? My guess is that it has something to do with the CLIP/IOModule. Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Scott

    Hi Scott,.

I suspect that the problem might be related to the fact that your node open FPGA VI reference is in the while loop and trying to open a new FPGA reference at each iteration.
If you move outside of the while loop, it does not solve the crash?

On channel vs port question, your logic seems reasonable to me, but I recommend to try it since this feature could depend on device.

  • Satellite Pro M70: Question on the port on the left hand side

Another question regarding the Pro M70 PSM75E, next to the hard drive (left side) there is a port which you can take off. I took it of and it looks like a chip grafx or something: s someone with the M70 not what it is.

    Thanks again

    Hello

Well, there are of many Satellite Pro M70. It s a great series.
But for example Satellite Pro M70-110 has a PCMCIA Type II slot.
You can use the different PCMICA card in this slot. But they must be compatible.
I guess this slot machine, you found a plastic Board. This is only for security.

However, if you want to learn more about your device, I would recommend reading the user manual which must be preinstalled on your laptop. You will find very, very, very ;) useful information.

  • Portege 3440CT: Question about media port replicator

    Hi, sorry for my English...

    I have a question:
I'm looking for a multimedia for my laptop port replicator.

Do not include the port replicator (PA3042E-1DST) I found a driver for cd/dvd...

Can I install a standard cd or dvd slim in the multimedia duplicator?
    Or he needs a car?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I think that you need this one: PA3042E-1DST Multi Media Replicator Port, but according to certain specifications, this port replicator can be used with different options. This means that you must PA3014E - 1DVD DVD Drive Kit or PA3015U-1CDD 24 x CD-ROM Drive Kit II.

    That s all I found.

  • Satellite P850 - question about infrared port

    Hello

I have Windows 8 Pro installed on my laptop and I downloaded all the drivers and everything works well outside the infrared. I've looked everywhere on the internet and I can't find a remote to use with this laptop (especially on the Toshiba site).

I installed the latest ENE CIR driver (v4.1) as well as the Manager of Toshiba remote (v3.1.0.1). I looked in Program Files to open the command handler Toshiba remote but when I click on the program to open... Nothing happens (including in the notification area).

So my question is can I actually get a working remotely with this laptop at all, and if not then, what is this infrared port for because I don't find anything on my computer to actually use with/for?

    Thanks for your help: p

    Hello

Some Satellite P850 models are equipped with the control distance and its possible to use the remote control with Windows Media Center to play discs or videos, see photos and watch recorded TV shows.

Models who don t understand the a remote controller are * NOT * equipped with an infrared receiver for laptop cannot operate with a remote control.
The remote was not part of the package for your portable computer does not support the infrared receiver and the Toshiba Remote Control Manager and ENE CIR driver installation was therefore unnecessary

  • Read/write port DAQmx questions

    Environment

    Windows XP SP3

    LabView 7.1

    NOR-DAQmx 8.7.1

    (2) PCI-DIO-96 cards

I'm trying to move from the level of registry TDAQ programming DAQmx and give me an "intensive" in mx.  I'm not sure about a few things.

I need to put in place 20 channels/tasks that will run a mix of single, large port (8-bit) bed and written.  Some will be handshaking (82 c 55 mode 1) and some no handshake (82 c 55 mode 0).

The plan is to create all tasks during an initialization routine and save the names of global tasks.  I open the task after creation and use the globals during the main part of the program execution, when I make the reads/writes on the port.  The body can run for hours at a time.  When the main is closed, the stop routiine close all tasks to exit ahead.

Regarding the task creation/destruction - is it safe to create tasks and leave them open, or should they be created and destroyed every time that a write is performed?

Regarding the port reads/writes, I suppose that when a port single read/write is made, there is no established buffer.  Is this correct?  Specifically, if I use the method above and leave task open, is it possible saturation of buffer or something similar to happen?

    TIA

    Charlie

Regret - Yes, you said 7.1 - I can't keep back away, but here is a screenshot

And - the task is saved outside of LabVIEW, so it's not really 'Open' or 'Closed', even when programmatically, create and destroy jobs.  Tasks exist or do not exist.  If they exist and have no errors, they can be run.

Tampons are to move data to and from the device.  For static DIO, this isn't a problem.  You CAN run into problems with a task of acquiring buttons if it acquires data as soon as you read the data, but you can work around this by starting and stopping the task properly.

  • DIO - single vs writing Port (U8)

    I have a weird situation:

    I use a card digital I/o NI 6509, with 4 digital outputs x connected to P2.3 via P2.6.

    1. set up a task to write these lines using a global virtual channels group - quite to the MAX.

    2. I used this previous task/configuration with success.

    3. yesterday it stopped working.

    4. now the old task does not work.

    5. I reset the device (and PC) repeatedly

    6. I created a 'NEW' task that writes to the port at the same time (i.e. U8) and I can measure the fine (using DMM) output voltage change when I run this VI.

    7. If I know that the output digital work... but when I try again the old task, it still does not work.

Can someone please tell me a reason why this behavior may occur. I know that some products DIO can be read/write only the port.

I'm suspicious that the unit (our product) the DIO card is connected to the could have been accidentally connected so that there are two output attached to the line even competing signals/pins.

This sounds like a hardware failure?

    Any suggestions appreciated muchly.

    Thank you!

Don't bother, I found the fault - the external material had been changed without knowing me.
