Direct thermal printing

Hi all

When printing a report with BI Publisher or say Apache FOB, the end result is a generated PDF that is sent to the browser. From there, you can then view or print at your leisure. However, no one knows if it is possible to specify the printer destination as part of the call to the editor/Apache? I am currently at the Apex evaluation for a customer and one of their needs is to be able to print without having to consult the report first.

Pointers would be greatly appreciated,

Thank you.

Ben.

Ben,

BI Publisher allows you to define the reports that are sent directly to a printer. And you can call the APEX using Web Services report. Generally you set a report directly in the APEX and have just BI Publisher works in the background to make your PDF documents and send them to the APEX. But if you want to be part of some of the features of BI Publisher that are not exposed through APEX, then start the generation of reports (and printing to a physical printer) via Web Services could be a good option. Here is a white paper that describes the steps to set up:

I'm trying to set up a password for wifi direct printing, but no where in my guide game didn't he tells me how. I'm in College and I live in a dorm, if I don't want everyone access to print from my printer. How can I do so?

    Hello

If your printer has a front LCD, access the wireless configuration wizard and scrolling through the menus until you find the menu live wireless. You should be able to find a menu option called 'wireless security direct' or something to that effect. When you put this on, it will put a wifi password direct in place.

To find your password wifi direct (the password you need to enter to connect to the WiFi printers direct) yuousually hold down the button to password wireless direct on the front panel for a few seconds and to print.

  • I've updated the Mac driver for the 8600 and direct wireless printing is no longer works. V5.9.1

I've updated the Mac driver for the 8600 and direct wireless printing is no longer works. The HP utility is v5.9.1, Mac OS x 10.7. I did the software update and a new driver HP was part of the package. HP ePrint still works, and print tests are okay for General network settings are intact. None of the applications that use the print dialogue box standard and local networking make it through the print queue. Any tips? Any way to roll back a driver version? Or quickly get the next revision and hope printing works again? Thank you.

Update: OSX-specific Version is 10.7.5, model of the printer is HP OfficeJet 8600. See you soon.

    Hello

Try to reboot the router and check if that can help you.

After connecting the back of the router, wait 30-60 seconds and restart the printer and Mac.

If it persists, try resettign the system as follows:

    * Be aware that reset the printer system will eliminate any existing queue and reset all custom settings driver.

Click on the Apple menu and then click on System Preferences.
    Select Print & Scan.
Right click (or Ctrl + click) your product with the Printers list in the left panel and then click on reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user name and password.
Click OK. The printing system resets.

Now reconfigure the device by following the HP (under Utilities Applications\hewlett-Packard\Device) installation wizard.

Please let me know if this can help,

  • M602: M602 direct PDF prints garbage after firmware update

We have 18 laser printers HP in society.

I installed an update of the firmware on three devices M602, and now all the direct PDF files print square characters mixed with the correct charaters on our documents.  PDF files have embedded fonts.

    The version of the firmware in the M602 is 2307851_000040 / 3.7.01 / 20160225

The same document printed to a P3010 prints correctly, with firmware 07.240.7 / 20151017

I would like to start working with HP for a fix of the M602 firmware.

Here's a small segment of the document print correctly before the update of the firmware:

After working hard through the chain of command, I have this escalation with HP and has recently received the new firmware that corrects this problem for one of our many printers with the problem.  This is excellent news.  Thanks HP!

  • Software based on the Web so that customers can change the templates directly to print?

    Hi all

I'm trying to find a piece of software based on the web I saw in action but do not know what's it called, or even what to look for to find!

I saw him at a print shop, and essentially, it was a system where society print put up a model/s for their clients (ie the brochures) and each time the customer needs a new brochure that they can open an online session, input text and images (limited by the rules of the model), they get a screen on evidence then confirmed when he's going all right to print.

Anyone any idea what this software can be?

Maybe it's a custom interface that you wouldn't be able to buy.  As much as I know Adobe has no what anyone who allows for processing and interaction online focus on electronic commerce.

  • Direct print wirelessly from iPad Pro w/o third-party app?

I want from my iPad Pro laser-printing on a printer wireless to work. My corporate network, however, is not configured to allow wireless printing; I have to work around the network with a direct wireless printing. I know that a lot of printers don't support not this, but everyone I've studied requires a third-party printing application. I'm sure that it will work very well, but I don't trust the manufacturers of printers to continue to support these applications.

Is there a printer wireless laser available that I can print without a wifi network, directly from the iPad without a third party app?

    Thank you!

    John

The printer you want to print unless on supports AirPrint, no, you would need an application.

AirPrint allows to print from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support

  • Cannot print from Android phone to 2540 Deskjet using Direct wireless

I try to print a document on my Android for my Deskjet 2540 phone using wireless live (so without a router involved).  I downloaded the HP ePrint app for my phone and have pressed the button wireless directly on the printer (the led next to it is on).  I enabled Wi - Fi radio on my phone and have made a link to my printer.

But when I try to print the document (a pdf.doc) I get the following on my phone error message: no internet connection.  Please check your network settings, and then try again.

Can you please help?  Thank you.

    Hi Kyle72,

Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I believe that when your Android mobile device is connected to the direct wireless network of your 2540 Deskjet that you can access the document, and you get a connection error message.

When you are connected to the direct the printer wireless network can not access the internet.  If the document you are trying to print does not live on your mobile device, you must copy the file to your phone to be able to print it.  I have included the link to HP Wireless PrintingCenter - HP wireless Direct.  He has a good summary on HP wireless Direct with instructions on how to connect to it and how to use it.

  • Direct printing on 6700 wireless option

I implemented the 6700 for wireless network and all is well with computers.  I'm trying to print directly from the iphone Tablet and they indicate the print file sent, but printer does not respond.  I see a configuration option that says "Direct wireless printing", but I can't find any info on what happened or what is.

Anyone know what is this option?

    Hello

HP Wireless Direct allows the printer to act as a "router" If you do not have such a home, the more likely is not necessary if you have a home network with a router.

You can find more information in the following link:
