Disassembly of the Satellite A65

I followed the Toshiba A65 manual disassembly by step-10 (see: http://irisvista.com/tech/laptops/ToshibaA65/satA65_1.htm)

The Summit does not come off. There seems to be something at the front of the top security near the two holes which receive the hood latches. Y at - there a trick to getting past this last obstacle? I need help... NOW!

These guys are pretty funny. Show some pictures of disassembly without exact explanation and now you need help. NOW!
You're a soldier, or you have to do something with the army? ;)

In any case on the photo he has shown a little white hack (or a bind screw white) and I guess it must be mobile upwards as shown in the photo.

  • Need to board/VGA-drivers WinXP to operate the Satellite A65 of US

    Hello

It is not listed throughout the Toshiba Satellite A65-site (s). But it exists and it needs some drivers. This special came from the United States, in Germany and lost all Recovery/Driver/utility-CDs. I've set up w / standard-XP-drivers, but shortly after the installation of VGA (ATI Catalyst) produced it blue screens.

Now it won´t boot XP without blue screening. This maybe because I installed the drivers A60 which seem to be OK, but luckily VGA.

Can someone help me? Is there a link for the drivers exactly for Satellite A65?

    Thanks in advance - B-Server

  • Lack of screen after disassembly of the Satellite X 205 - s9349

Well heres so what happened. My laptop was running very hot, so we took it apart and cleaned all the dust. Then, we put "artic silver 5" on the CPU and the gpu. When we got it all back together, the monitor had a tinge of purple to it.

When we have shaken the monitor cable, the colour would change other colors like Blue tint and other shades.
I took in this type of computer repair and it did something for her and now it looks like this:

I don't know what he was doing.
Need help fixing. Thank you in advance,

This type of repair is allowed for the Toshiba laptop repair?

At first, I must say that laptop disassembly is not for everyone and it will be done by authorized personnel only. They do this maintenance manual step by step following with the exact description how to do this. Thermal compound/grease is not the same for all models of laptops and quantity used is also not the same. So what you did was very risky and now you have the problem. Who knows what's wrong there. In the worst cases, the graphics card is dead.

Have you tried testing with external monitor? Please, do it and post the result.

    Hello

I checked the manual of the Satellite A65 and there I can find information that the Power LED blinks orange indicating the machine is in standby mode. So for me it sounds like that your laptop is in sleep mode.

What happens if you click Start > stop and choose the closing down in the menu drop-down? Normally, the power LED button must be turned off and also the laptop is in sleep mode.

  • Re: Satellite A65 will start not because of recovery CD formats the HARD drive?

    1. my Satellite A65 WinXP seems to be corrupted and does not start.
    2. my system is dual-boot, Windows XP (16 GB) and Xandros Linux (24 GB)
3 Xandros boots. Windows XP has been removed from the start menu.
    4. If I run the Toshiba Recovery CD, it will enter and reformat the whole disc or only the first partition WinXP?
    5. are there instructions online for the recovery CD?

    > 4. If I run the Toshiba Recovery CD, it will seize and reformat the whole disc or only the first partition WinXP?

Well, if you have an older version of recovery which provides two options; standard recovery and recovery expertise, so you could choose the partition on which the operating system must be installed and ONLY that partition is erased and formatted.

But if you, recovery CD doesn t contains options then the recovery CD will format the entire HARD drive!

    So be careful

  • Satellite A65 - Crash during the upgrade of the BIOS. Not now boot.

I have a satellite A65 s-1064, and I was upgrading the BIOS from windows. Suddenly, the computer turns off, and I thought that it meant that the update was made. I pressed the power button, and booted the laptop, but remained at a black screen. I thought maybe the BIOS was always something, so I left for a while. After an hour, I returned to find even on the black screen.

I pressed the power button to restart, but nothing happened. I finally had to pull on the power cord and the battery. Once I did, I plugged it back in and put the battery in, but nothing happened. No battery charging lights. No power lights at all. Nothing happens when I press the power button. My question is, could do a BIOS upgrade failure, and could I somehow reflash the BIOS without power?

    Hi Brandon,.

It is very unusual for an upgrade of the Windows BIOS cause this kind of problem. Normally, the power subsystem is quite independent of the BIOS.

Is there a reset button that you can use to reset the system your A65? (Sorry, but I'm not familiar with the A65). If so try to press it to see if this will allow you to restore the power of your laptop.

If you get no power at all (try removing the battery and then connect to the AC adapter), then it is possible that the power supply or the motherboard did not in this case, you will need to contact an approved Service Agent for the laptop repaired.

As for your question about flashing the BIOS without power, I'm afraid that this is not possible. You will certainly seized the restoreds power to your laptop you can proceed with your upgrade of BIOS.

  • Disassembly of the specifications for the Satellite L30-113?

    Hello

where can I find the complete specifications on how to disassemble toshiba satellite L30-113? !!

    Thank you.

    Hello

Disassembly of the laptop is not easy and should be done only if you have a technical background.
The risks are too high you might damage something on the map. You know, the motherboard is the most expensive part of the laptop.

But don t worry buddy, I cleaned my laptop fans without removing anything.
I used the hose of vacuum cleaner against the vents and it worked

  • Satellite A65 will not start and I get only the blue screen!

When I start my satellite A65 a blue screen comes up saying "a problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
It says to check if I have enough disk space or to disable or update the driver, if a pilot has been mentioned in the stop message... or to check the updates to the bios...
I can type everything that said if I need, but the jist

The world is - that sound familiar at all?
It may be because I was not updated enough when he told me to.
It does not start, not even on safe mode, and it won't let me not restore, which I would be perfectly willing to do at this point.

    help, please
    Joly

    Hello

The blue screen of death usually occurs because of the serious software problem or due to malfunction of the equipment.
In your case, it looks more like something wrong with the hardware. Why, because you're not able to restore the laptop from the recovery CD Toshiba delivered!

Need buddy? I think that the laptop should be verified.
Try to contact an ASP in your country and ask for later handling.

    Good luck

  • Where to find maintenance manual to disassemble the satellite A210-171

    Hi guys.

I'll have a bit of a dilemma with my computer laptop satellite A210-171.
The CPU fan plays up and I need to replace.

The problem is that I'm unable to strip this thing down.
I already have some small studs plastic broken on the Strip above the keyboard, and I now know exactly how to remove the touchpad and the cover.

I use the FRU guide for satellite A210 claiming to also apply to the satellite a210 series, but many of the screws indicated in the guide are not on this laptop.
The position of some components also differ.

I'm not familiar with working with computers and their components, but when it comes to laptops, I feel very uncomfortable when something does not move and I don't see why.

If someone could direct me to the right guide FRU for my model or ome other material of appropriate reference, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Unfortunately, maintenance manuals don't are not downloadable did not find all pages that provide these manuals only manuals that are also pre-installed on Toshiba laptops can be downloaded.
But as far as I know Satellite A210 is the same as Equium A210 so the two series are not very different.

  • Satellite A65-S1062 battery does not charge

    Hi all

I bought TOSHIBA Satellite A65-S1062 a few days, but it was not new.
And now I have a problem with loading the battery = (first of all, I reinstalled the operating system (windows xp sp2) and tried to install all the drivers, but I had problems with 'save energy'.

Initially the indicator in the Panel showed 6% of load and wile installing the programs that I checked the indicator, is perhaps half an hour, he showed at 7% and everything would be ok but within an hour he showed me the 0%, and it does not change for 2 days already.

I checked my computer with "everest" and he showed the wear level - 25%, but what is interesting, it shows the different load (150 mW to 20000 mW) capacity rate appears as 150mWh (0%).

    HI Marian,

If your laptop turns off during an upgrade of the BIOS so I think you should bring to a repairer authorized to have reloaded with a usable BIOS CMOS chip.

You can find your repairer nearest since Toshiba under Support & Downloads web site.

Without a usable BIOS, you will not be able to load a new version.

    Really sorry
