Dischargs of battery even if the NB 100 is stopped

I noticed that my battery of the NB 100 running the operating system Ubuntu Remix discharges even if the netbook is stopped, that is to say the evening when I stop the netbook of the battery indicator in Ubuntu brand 100% full. When I turn it on the morning the battery brand 85% indicator. Did anyone experience the same problem?

I guess it's a bug in the Ubuntu OS and has nothing to do with the battery itself. Any thoughts?

Thank you;

Hello

It is well known that the battery drains 15-20% when it is turned off during the night. The same thing happen on my laptop satellite.

Your model of laptop is not known to me, but I found some documents from Toshiba (knowledge base) you can avoid this if option Wake up on LAN is disabled in the BIOS.

    Hello

Check with support from the manufacturer of their books online and the drivers and their forums system
(as applicable) for known issues. Some manufacturer issued BIOS and other updates to help the battery
    problems.

Control Panel control - plan change Options - power plans - power - advanced settings
Parameters for the drainage and the use of parameters (this is how much to use and not how much or how)
    long to load).

In fact, what causes a lot of wear on a battery empties it too low on several occasions. With today
systems overload are not a problem.

Here are some tips to help and troubleshoot battery issues.

Old battery? Unplug the power to the computer - remove the battery and clean the contacts with a pencil
eraser (do not use this, if your battery is fine slots - just clean up the edges of the knife which fit in)
them and be careful). Batteries are old, or it could be a problem with the computer.
Check with the support of the machine system, and many of them have on line forums.

New Lithium-Ion type battery usually last longer if you do not unload then less than 30%
However on a laptop that not extend their life a lot. Best is to use the a/c adapter
    When this is possible.

  • Want K204TX: Dsicharging of the battery even when the laptop is off

This is a new computer laptop, about 10 days old.

I support 100%, power OFF (no sleep, full power off) the thing and then after one day when I turn on it back, battery is located at 95% and the computer starts to load it.

It is a rejection of 5% in 24 hours.

I thought that Li - ion cells have a self-discharge of 5% per month rate, steps per day!

Why is this happening? Is there something wrong with the laptop?

PS: I have the option disabled in the BIOS to USB charge. And nothing is connected to the computer laptop while it is happening. The laptop is off, no accesorries logged and stored in the backpack I got from HP. But still, the next day, I have 95% of battery and the computer begins to charge the battery again.

    Hi there @johnwinchester,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and Welcome back! I read your post on the HP Support Forums and see that you are curious about the HP Envy K204TX and the battery percentage.

You could try the HP troubleshooting documentation called test and calibrate the battery (Windows 8). Sometimes the battery just needs to be tested and calibrated with Notepad.

  • Keep Satellite C55-B901 connected even when the battery is 100%

    Hello

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite c55-b901, and I was wondering if it's good to keep the laptop plugged even after the battery is fully charged or not. Which would affect the battery life or it does not matter.

I also have a cooling block that keeps the freshness of the laptop.
Would you recommend that I keep it plugged in, keep using it when it is 100% and 10% only when charging and will stop when 100%, or use two meanings I like?

    Thanks in advance!

You don't have to worry about battery. You can use your laptop connected to the power adapter. What you can do is to use the battery mode from time to time. Do battery empty and reconnect the AC adapter.
You can do this in a week time.

  • Satellite M35X-S329: discharge of battery if the AC is plugged

    Hello world

I need help in solving this problem with my laptop. I have Toshiba Satellite M35X - S329 laptop. I am having some problems with the battery. It's here.

    (1) battery discharges even power, the supply current is connected to the laptop. This causes the laptop to close after 2/3 hours when the battery discharge completely. He even begins to give alarm messages as soon as the battery power drops below 10% (this corresponds to the current setting).
If the power supply is connected the battery should not unload the power and the laptop shouldn't off after 3 hours (as the AC power is connected).
If the laptop is off battery is recharged with the same AC power.

I am not able to understand where is the problem

If the problem comes from the power running, then the battery is not recharged with the same power supply and power cord.
If the battery is the problem then it must be not able to load and unload.
Why the battery power when the laptop is connected to the power supply current.

I'm doing something wrong. do I set all the settings or update the BIOS or replace the battery or AC power cards. Please help me.

    Kind regards
    JK.

Note: when the power supply is connected the headlights before (AC light and the light) shines green and the battery light turns off. When the laptop is turned off when the battery goes to Orange indicating that its loading.

    Hello

According to your description it s not a bad battery and not an AC adapter because it will charge the battery if the laptop is turned off.
Well, for me it looks like something wrong with the electronics on the motherboard.
But that is only my suggestion. To be 100% sure, some diagnostic tests are necessary.
This is why I would recommend asking the Toshiba service partner in your country for help.

  • How to replace the internal rechargeable lithium ion battery in the XF-100?

Manual 168 p describes the required battery type, but not a clue as to how to find it, access.

    Hello Jimcooper,

Page 170 of the XF100 manual specifies the battery built-in rechargeable lithium (aka, back toward the top of stack), as well as a stack of lithium CR2025 button.  One could interpret this particular section and page in the manual as referring to the same farm, but it is actually two different and distinct piles.  I apologize that we could easily although found otherwise.

The built-in rechargeable lithium battery (aka, the rear battery [who manages the time/date settings /]) is the only one we are referencing with reference to your application.  It is internal and cannot be changed by the end user, because it requires the Service Factory gun to do so.

This contrasts with the button lithium CR2025 (which we provided) turn the controller wireless of the XF100.  It is not identical to the built-in rechargeable lithium battery that is referenced when we talk about your online application.  You can change wireless on button on the gamepad CR2025 lithium battery according to the needs.

Abandoned this information we are not able to suggest to try service yourself and recommend rather using the website of Canon USA (link here) to set a ticket service for the camcorder to send to Canon for assessment and/or service.

  • Can we keep the laptop plugged even after the battery is fully charged?

When my battery is fully charged, is it acceptable to continue using the charging or is it better to unplug? My friends have different opinions on this topic and one of them said to me that if I continue to load while it is fully charged, it quality will be reduced or something. Is this really possible?

    Hello

The best information comes from the machine system.

Batteries and loads in portable computers today are designed to stay in the computer
available to use and reload. The system more now have an automatic release of configuration which
will drain the battery a bit then are. That helps keep the battery refreshed
If the battery has more power and lasts longer.
