Discs of reuse of a former PS6000XV in a decommissioned identical PS6000XV

Is it possible to reuse the disks to a former PS6000XV on an identical PS6000XV that always works but out of warranty? The former PS6000XV will have to be reset first before trying to re - use records or is it really important? Would that work at all?

I asked support EQL and they didn't. Currently I have 5 x PS6000XV which are still under warranty for a few months. I intend to replace all, but I might have to run a couple of them, past the warranty period, before all new can have grown. I want to just make sure I'm covered with a lot of spare drives before even considering this as an option.

Don

If your old PS6000xv discs are the same size and speed that the table "under warranty", you should have no problem using hot cold spares. I would certainly recommend reset the old one before using the discs well.

  • How to use an existing record as a model in a registration form to create new

    Hi all

I have a chart with lines of configuration, currently accessible by a combination of report/form. It works very well to create, view and edit data.
However users need often to create a new record that is 90% as an existing record.
What they want is to go to an existing record and use it as a template to create a new record (by clicking a button ' create a copy of ")

    My attempt at a solution
-When the button is pressed to send users to the normal form and pre-fill some elements with the 'model' record data, after which everything is the same as creating a record from scratch

    What I'm trying
-as above, redirect the user to the page 'create' and sent the values of the desired via the URL syntax items. Failed because I have about 20 items and the settings button doesn't let me add 10 then more (besides it not beautiful to see)
-Instead of sending via a URL, I tried only to send the model id and have a charge "before the process the header" the values of the element in the session state. Failed because the elements of the page are all (load form source each time) because they are the columns of database

    Constraints for the solution
-No, I can't go first to insert a copy of the record and then display it in edit mode because the remaining 10% of the registration can not be copied because of table constraints. They have severe limitations, who needs the user to input.
-(et non je ne peux pas insérer d'abord deles de données factices, qui est solution un pauvre homme)
-I would like to reuse the current form to create/edit as it contains a lot of business rules and constraints. Dubbing then the page put me upward with a double load of maintenance in case of future changes in the management rules

I would be grateful any good clues for resolve this condition

    Best regards

    Geert

Why not having a standard configuration of report and form, except on the page of the form, you have a button called "create as copy". Add a submit after procedure, before the DML, that defines the element that contains the PK to null. The DML so consider this as a new registration and add the values in the table.

  • Looking for ideas on creating departmental forms

I use CF9.  In my company, I think that I could probably find a user with Acrobat and the sequence of things.

I'm looking for a way to generate forms during the print are identical to the originals.  Sake of argument, imagine these forms to be your taxes - the longest.

Does anyone have an idea how I could go about creating and printing of these reliable form?  I don't have a few options:

1 form and data can be separated.

    2. it would be nice to have a Visual rep of the form on the screen with bunk fields (I have small tiny forms with 70 or 80 sections, so a cool image of the form is not completely necessary.  I use a simple html form to capture the data.  I think tho, that if I had the image and the data on the screen then cfPDF capture into a single entity for printing.

    3. during printing, the form must exactly match the original shape.  I have experience with control printers and PCL.  I can do through the browser?

    4. data must be separated at some point so I can stick it in the comic book.  I'm guesing this will be pretty easy.

I guess I'm looking for a simple way to capture and overlay form fields or control the printer when sending a page from the browser.

    Thank you

Sounds like you might want to use PDF to data collection and present data.

  • Portege R930 - Cyrpto erase Self Encrypting Drive (SED)

    I have a R930 delivered with a model 320 disc Toshiba SED MK3261SYG.
The confidential nature of the existing data to clean the disc to reuse the system and understand that the reader has the possibility of being "completely erased" in replacing the encryption key, eliminating all access to information existing, any new data written after that the wipe using a different key.

This ability is well documented by Toshiba, but I can't know how in fact do this type of "rag". I understand that there is a lot of "crush" wipe the apps that I can use and have used in the past but the Toshiba WIPE"ability is what interests me as he will be much more quick and logical (at least to me) a"safer"approach

The worm R930 BIOS is 6.50 and although there are settings on the Security tab to activate passwords BIOS and HARD drive that restict access to the drive there is nothing there which allows me to do a "wipe" (or at least I think). None of the applications Toshiba security Assist, etc. utility password that are supplied with the 64-bit version of Win 7 appear to have this ability either.

I searched variousToshiba support sites and can't find any reference to any application that Toshiba makes available to allow a client to perform this type of wipe. I found a utility on the Seagate site, called Seatools which appears to allow you to do this with their readers, but hesitate to try it with Toshiba hardware

Can someone tell me the solution 'approved' Toshiba?

Thanks in advance for any help.
    ..

Some new discs hard Toshiba supports the technology to wipe of Toshiba.
The unique thing about these new readers is the fact that in certain circumstances, data are automatically removed from the hard drive.
For example, if the hard drive is stolen and it is connected and installed in another system.

Toshiba called the 'SED' HARD disk - which means sed Drives.

I could find a Toshiba info
    http://www.Toshiba.co.jp/about/press/2011_04/pr1301.htm

In addition, the technology wipe never work until the customer to activate and when wiping technology has been activated, the user cannot remove activation.
    How to activate it?
You can do it by the HARD drive password settings.

  • Failed disk Seagate used CD of HP recovery and windows won't complete installation...

Hello long player date people initially displays......

I have an older machine of the HP A6567c... that has been modernized with almost new under the motherboard, processor and ram... Ive swapped the power provides the gpu and of course HD... heres so my question...

I use a 1 TB hd seagate... Recently it failed on me, so I sent away from replacement since it is under warranty... they me sent a disk of 1 TB of Nice refurbed which is half of the width of my other more old... which I thought was weird... but I installed it anyway... I ran the cd HP 3 recovery al was going well until he went to complete your installation of windows... and then I got an error message saying: could not complete my installation of windows... Please reinstall windows... I was stunned... Ive replaced maybe 4 or5 readers in my time and I've never seen elsewhere... so, I read somewhere to disconnect printers and GPU and nothing that I did this retrial and same issue... so I went diggin' autour and found an article stating that more old CD of HP recovery do not allow some drivers be installed on recovery as what the new style HD session require... and skip this premise I ended up finding a few articles more where people have said the same thing...

So im at a loss for why the recovery CD don't work... someone knows if there are more recent style recovery CD that work with the new drives? Ive read some forums of HP where others had the question and have had mixed responses from HP support a tech saying they had to buy all new recovery CD, while the other tech said a customer they should improve their OS... I guess that I wouldn't mind upgrading to Win7 from my vista home Prem 64 I hear win 7 is better... but i only run 4 gig of ram so win7 would go on my computer?

Also if there is a new hard drive in style... What's the beef with them? What makes them so different for older... Unfortunately with this being a holiday weekend im GROUND on get ahold of Seagate... so im stuck waiting til dec 1 Monday to get their hands on them... but I was hoping someone could find it and give me some ideas...

    Thank you

    Hello

Run the hardware BIOS diagnostic and make sure that your PC is OK. Check with Seagate and be sure that the hard disk that you received is not a drive hard format advanced, because these types of discs will not work with former HP recovery programs.

If your PC does not have BIOS version 5.32 or superior and a 7 GB or more then remove some DIMM memory in order to reduce the total less than 7 GB.  You can install the latest BIOS updates after the recovery of your PC.

  • Log on problem after installation of the sp3

Hi there forgive me if this is old news, but I just bought an old laptop for children. The seller has installed xp pro top with IE 8.

I installed the latest java, W. Media Player. I had a browse through updates and he said that auto updates can not be read if my system is up to date. So I thought that I should install SP3. Once this is done I did the reboot and start-up of the machine re I got the newspaper of the administrator on request of password. When I bought this machine and it works, he never requested a password and went directly to the screen, probably because it was only a single account. the seller told me that he had installed a hard drive cool and a new copy of XP pro. There is a sticker on the back of the machine activation key.

I tried many combinations of passwords, including the sellers name, leave blank and just pressing ENTER. tried Ctrl alt del all resulted in nothing.

I contacted the seller and he said that he never put a password and therefore cannot (or will not help) I looked on the web for some ideas, including starting in safe mode, but the info it says it will ask for a password, but I am. I am now locked out of my machine. Help, please. Thank you

If I bought a used computer, no matter who previously owned the
first thing I could do with it would be to reinstall the operating
system itself. You don't know how the computer has been maintained,
which has been improperly installed, what's missing, what virus and
There may be spyware, etc. I would not live with someone
other errors and problems, possibility of kiddy p0rn, etc. and I
would not recommend anyone else to do.

Your choice of course, but in my opinion, you're playing with fire if you
    do not reinstall Windows properly.

    Thanks for the reply.

You are welcome. Happy to help you.

To do a clean install, what I have to buy a new version or I can just a xp pro disc and reuse the key at the back of the machine, provided that they are ok.

If you have a product key on a sticker, it's an OEM version. You can
use the disc to a friend, if the sound is also OEM. Try to find a friend with the
    same brand of computer.

  • W500 recovery methods

I have covered all the questions and answers listed and I'm still confused, my W500 never gave me any problems so far, but I would be prepared, so I got my recovery discs and instructions on how to use their nestled safely, then some light fingers person caught their and instructions and I am unable today to find online on sites the instructions I had before.  I contacted the support by e-mail who have told me that they can provide me the discs for £ 60, which was also confused that saying they send order make shortly, but to let them know if I want the discs, waiting for the order form to send to me, if she does not come before Monday I will call them. My questions are:

    1. can I use the keyboard to help with the installation, if necessary. I have small hands and find it difficult to reach all the buttons at the same time.

    2. can someone please tell me step by step how to do this with the keyboard.

    3. in the meantime if I would need to recover the System Image will, I saved when I got the GET tablet out me of trouble, I do regular back ups, but kept the first IF on a usb key, I need to transfer it SO on a disk or it will run from the usb key.

  • How to rip data dics on my computer

I use Vista and even if I can play music that has been placed on the disc to MP3 in the form of data I can't seem to copy on my computer. I also want to convert the normal audio music.

There is no need actually ripping of CD data - mining is no longer required for audio CDs. For data CD, you can simply use Windows Explorer to copy MP3 files to your personal music folder.

Hello Speedstep and someone another reading in the future after this gets indexed.

SpeedStep, while I thank you for your quick response, it is wildly inaccurate.

Access to Data Protection from Dell use a company called 'Wave', which creates a lot of software suites of different security (ie the Embassey security).

    They have an article here:

After talking to a person about the error, this happens when their software is used on a player not yet taken in charge by them or a corruption of software glitch/player. I found that, in my case, it was because their use TCG OPAL orders 1.0 while my Player supports 2.0 commands more recent.

This caused my problem. -How do I fix this?

I found a few blackhat tools that allow you to communicate to the piece of independent encryption of drives, but they were not successful. After some research, there is a hardware password PSID on the SSD. I found that someone has added to their Samsungs PSID reset tool drop-down list.

Run this tool CLI enabled me to the SSDS to factory specifications and remove independent encryption caused by the DDPA.  Yay! Now, I have my SSD back.

SpeedStep, I replace my SSD with another and I was able to use it successfully without any changes to my TPM secure or Bios. Again once, however I appreciate the quick response!

If anyone needs the tool to reset Samsung PSID, feel free to just post below and we will get in touch.

I installed an internal hard drive 1 TB on a Windows 7 using SATA system.  Device Manager sees the drive, but Windows does not.  So I can't access the drive. How can I get Windows to use this hard disk (disk 1) to be the image of the disk system 0?

    Thank you

Probably should have Setup no matter what RAID before installation.  Thinking that can be a destructive thing.  Not that I'm a great believer in RAID1 arrays (mirror) - I'm not.  I'd rather have real backups - external backups.

Usually a RAID1 will help only if the first hard drive die an immediate death.  None of the defective areas, no viruses, no random deletion of files.  Why?  Because a HARDWARE RAID1 is an instant copy of everything that happens on the first hard drive.  If you clear hundreds of files - they are on both.  A virus corrupts the things - the other disc is in place.  Form data and scramble of bad sectors - well, look!

I have a storage attached network device I backup on an eSATA hanging from it it stores up to another network and storage I do more selective backups to as a backup for my saved backups.  Internal - nothing.  Well, I guess that the restoration of the system and version control integrated with Windows 7...
