Any capacity HARD drive should work fine, as long as he is physically than a standard notebook size HDD.

Disk capacity hard satellite 2550S
Hello
I wonder if Toshiba Dynabook Satellite 2550 S supports 40 GB HDD? If no, what is the maximum capacity of the hard drive can detect this laptop? Similarly, what is the graphics card for this device driver, I'm only using standard view type (display portable Panel 1024 x 768 on super vga) thank you.

Hello
Well, as far as I know, this unit is designed for a Japanese market.
In this case you will not be able to find the drivers for this unit on the European site of Toshiba.
I also checked the other sites of Toshiba but unsuccessfully ;(
I guess you must visit the Toshiba site to the Japan. Maybe you will find some information on this laptop.

What disk capacity HARD Satellite A20 S-103 supports?
Hello everyone and sorry for the bad English ;)
I want to improve my laptop HARD drive but I don't know what cell maximum supported size?
It's a Satellite A20 s-103, with Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz processor.
Can you help me with this?I think buy a 160 GB Samsung HARD drive! :)
Its very important question for me, and I couldn't be able to find an answer yet.Sincerely! :)
Hello
For me, the upgrade for the 160 GB HARD drive is questionable.
I don't know that the BIOS recognises this large size m.
I know that the laptop should recognize the unique sizes such as 30 GB, 40 GB, 60 GB or 80 GB.Of course, you can try to connect the 160 GB and it would be very interesting to know the results. Please report the details...

Disk capacity hard campaigns for Dimension 4600
All.
I'll make my 5 year old Dimension 4600 Windows Home Server.
First: Is there a limit to campaigns? The case has double bays ATA100 and I would install 2 1 TB Western Digital caviar. This will exceed the limits of the Dimension 4600 campaigns.
Second: ATA100 will be sufficient or should I change to SATA? And is it possible and how would accomplish this?
Thanks in advance.

Option extra HARD drive for R60e
I intend to upgrade 60GB HD 120 GB as shown in the option stock higher on the specifications page. I can more than 120 GB with this model?
Detailed features page:
http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-64245#Stor
Under "Storage" then "Hard Drive features", he States the following:
"The Ultrabay Slim hard drive adapter is designed to provide this flexibility with a second hard drive in the Ultrabay Slim housing."
It sounds like I can add a second HD which would be preferable as opposed to a swap HD and all the included facilities for this. However, when we look at the news on the HD adapter I found this:
http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/MIGR-61161.html
Scroll to the "Notes" under "Hardware compatibility", and you will see this:
"Not supported on ThinkPad R60e"
If this computer does not have the ability of a second HD or not? Page plug implies it is, real part page States no. I'm looking for if I have it or not?
the biggest hard drive you can press the internal Bay is 640 gig (there is a model with a capacity even higher), essentially any hard drive as long as they are in 2.5 inch format and 9.5 mm thick.

I have Thinkpad R60e, 0657-KCG with 60 GB HARD drive. It is too small, and I want to buy more disk. What is the maximum size of HARD drive for this model?
You can install any HDD notebook SATA 9.5 mm, your budget and your needs are the only limits. I think 500 GB is the largest on the market.
I hope this helps.

Disk replacement HARD & BIOS question - Satellite A60
Hi guys
I have a Satellite A60-672 and his original 40 GB drive is dead. I got a Seagate 80 GB HDD as a replacement, but after it is inserted, it does not show in the BIOS. I did some searching on Google but not really came up with a large part. Is it possible that the BIOS does not recognize the new drive due to the larger size?
I looked in the BIOS upgrade (currently version 1.50) and found an update to 1.90. After reading the upgrade of BIOS FAQ (http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/faq.jsp?z=234&service=EU&from=faq_selection&CFID=B IOS & FID = TRO0000000b07) I have saw apparently need a floppy drive that laptop did not. Can I use a CD - R in the place or what I need to get a USB floppy drive now?
Thanks for any help.
> Is it possible that the BIOS does not recognize the new HARD drive because of the larger drive?
Yes, it is quite possible and especially a reason why the large capacity HARD disk cannot be used.
It seems that the update of the BIOS on the Satellite A60 can be done only with the USB FDD.
But why you want to update the BIOS?
I don t think that the update will change something
It seems that the 80 GB are not possible. -
Hello
I tried to increase the hard drive of a machine space of 10 GB for a 20 GB virtual linux. I closed down the VM, then ssh was in the ESXi server. From there on, I ran the command:
vmkfstools x 20 G Apatite.vmdk
The command was executed successfully. Then, when I turned on the virtual machine I had and still do me:
Reason: The capacity of the disk virtual parent and the child disk capacity are different.Cannot open disk ' / vmfs/volumes/503fd5b8-d1cef086-eb4a-10bf487b38db/Apatite/Apatite-000001.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on.I tried many things such as the cloning of the Apatite.vmdk of Apatite - repaired.vmdk. That works, however, I get an old version of the virtual machine. I do not receive my changes of Apatite - 000001.vmdk or Apatite-000001 - delta.vmdk.
I have a very important job on my VM that I am restoring. I should have backed up before doing anything else I've done. Now, it seems that I pay the price.
Can someone help me get my VM? Is it possible to increase the size of the snapshot (Apatite - 000001.vmdk) or reduce the size of the parent so that they match, and the virtual machine start?
Help, please.
Thank you

After you have made the changes - do NOT start the virtual machine
Instead, remove from inventory and run
vmkfstools 'Apatite - 000001.vmdk'-i 'consolidated.vmdk' d slim
When did edit the vmx file and replace
scsi0:0. FileName = 'Apatite - 000001.vmdk ".
with
scsi0:0. FileName = "consolidated.vmdk".
now, you can save the VM again. -
I can't install the second disk sata hard
I have a problem when install the second disk sata hard
I bought a new one 500 GB and I installed windows xp sp3
and it works well I plugged in SATA 0 port
When I want to install a second sata hard disk 320 on sata 1
and it has an important data, windows will reboot, and do
blue screen sometimes 'NTFS.sys"or"SCSIPORT.sys.
and it is written "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL".
If someone help me what should I do or there is no FIX for this problem.in the BIOS I have regcognized both hard drivers:
IDE pri master 500 GB
PRI IDE slave 320
Second master IDE-
Second slave IDE-
PORT SATA - 0
SATA 1 - PORTI plugged the IDE 2 cd-rom
----------
Specification of the device:
Windows xp sp3
card mother gigabyte 848P
Intel ICH5
Intel 8I848p775-g
Celeron D Socket 775You said that the hard drives are sata but your bios recognizes them as IDE depending on your position. You might have to set your bios to operate in sata mode or enable AHCI of have recognized them as sata. Regarding the error you get, look in the system BIOS to boot from hard disk command menu. This is different from the command menu of usual starting where you choose each time you start a cd ROM or hard drive ect... The parameter that I refer to determine which hard drive of your computer starts on the first. Change to the primary master 500 GB disk > save your settings and restart your computer. Even if one is defined as main and the other slave is not serious. Some bios have the ability to choose what hard drive to boot from. In other words, it is adjustable to start first on the slave drive.

Windows that display only half of the disk capacity
I have a new laptop HP EliteBook with Windows 7 SP1 is installed. SSD has 500 GB, but the system is only half of the disk capacity show.
What can we do? Thank you.
CHKDSK discovered... 0 KB in bad sectors. 719099 KB in use by the system. 65536 KB occupied by the log file. 89854676 KB available on disk. 4 096 bytes in each allocation units total 60636159 the disk allocation unit. 22463669 allocation units available on disk.
Coincidentally reduce then extend the volume again?
CHKDSK is essentially a tool of file system and the capacity of the disc that you see in the Explorer disc property is actually the size of the file system rather than the physical size of the volume, the physical size of the volume is based on the head of sector, while the size of the file system is based on the number of clusters (allocation units). The file system has a total of clusters 60636159 x 4096 bytes = 248,365,707,264 bytes.
Different size according to the different tools are both correct, but the file system is not using the entire partition, you need to extend the file system with the Diskpart tool.
At a command prompt, enter the following commands:
C:\ > DISKPART
DISKPART > list Volume
DISKPART > select volume c (here, you can use the figures given by the Volume of the order list or use the actual letter of the volume, in your case 'c')DISKPART > extend filesystem
DISKPART > exit (exit Diskpart)Here is a screenshot of the procedure:
The file system extension is relatively safe, but as always you should ensure that you have a good backup of your files before doing any kind of work of system disk/partition or file.

Hi all
I have a question about the «left disk space» tracking options I have a mixed environment: two VCs with 100 virtual machines and another 70 physical systems. What I did to monitor everything, was vFogl attached to two VCs and also installed the fglam on all physical systems and created agent winSys for physical systems.
What I recognized, is the fact that there are different rules to monitor virtual machine and systems with an agent. For VMs, it is the rule "VMW Virtual Machine logical drive fill rated time" and for the agent on the system phys. "ability".
But I also want to watch the 'capacity' of my virtual machines disk space. Do I have to install the agent on these virtual machines, & fglam also?
The background of this issue, it is that our IT support team needs to be enlightened (e-mail on mobile phone), if there is a problem with a smaller disk capacity.
Thanks in advance for your help,
PatrikPatrik,
Discover the rule of the use of the logical disk VMW Virtual Machine. Looks like what you are looking for, and it is already in the product.
VMware tools need to installed and updated on the VMs for this to work, as is, how get the operating system of the host ESX and VC info from the virtual machine level.
If this isn't possible, fglam and one officer of the BONE is your option.

Original title: TPG Server petition.
I wanted to know if I di not actually have access to the disk partition hard base would impact on the installation of a complete operating system of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit? Instead of having a computer with a complete installation of windows mine came with versions of WinPE OEM, NT and MCE. The GPT partition server that I can see is protected. Partial operating systems seem to be installed on network disk Volumes. I think that what I have to do down the disk hard real all delete and start again but I'm having a problem to see what is all about the drive through programs and remove what I find. He also seems to have a certain type of script hidden BIOS more wrinkles to retail and canceling all decisions on versions of the oem .cfg files. She configures and installs the server instead of windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit server software. The installation gives the highest administrative authority to the network administrators who I don't know and have never met and to manage my personal laptop. It creates a serious problem when I want to use my computer for one purpose and that some people I don't know and have never met want me to use my computer for something else.
