Display Client to connect to multiple servers connection?

I work for a company that has a lot of customers who have the configuration of Vmware View. Sometimes I use it for remote access to their networks when im doing support for them, but unfortunely it seems that the View Client can only connect to a single server for connection of both organizations.

Is it possible to change this default behavior?

For example, our internal broker is desktops.ourdomain.local... but I also want to connect to your desktop at desktops.customerxyz.com too.

There is an unsupported switch allowing you to have multiple sessions running view sublabel.   I don't remember if it is - standalone or just a standalone-, but that should do the trick.

  • The VPN client VPN connection behind other PIX PIX

    I have the following problem:

I wanted to establish the VPN connection the client VPN to PIX on GPRS / 3G, but I didn t have a bit of luck with PIX IOS version 6.2 (2).

So I upgraded PIX to 6.3 (4) to use NAT - T and VPN client to version 4.0.5

I have configured PIX with NAT-T(isakmp nat-traversal 20), but I still had a chance, he would not go through the 1st phase. As soon as I took nat-traversal isakmp off he started working, and we can connect to our servers.

Now, I want to connect to the VPN client behind PIX to our customer PIX network. VPN connection implements without problem, but we can not access the servers. If I configure NAT - T on the two PIX, or only on the customer PIX or only on our PIX, no VPN connection at all.

If I have to connect VPN client behind PIX to the customer's network and you try to PING DNS server for example, on our PIX, I have following error:

305006: failed to create of portmap for domestic 50 CBC protocol translation: dst outside:194.x.x.x 10.10.1.x

194.x.x.x is our customer s address IP PIX

I understand that somewhere access list is missing, but I can not understand.

Of course, I can configure VPN site to site, but we have few customers and take us over their servers, so it'd just connect behind PIX VPN and client connection s server, instead of the first dial-in and then establish a VPN connection.

The following is extracted from ASK THE DISCUSSION FORUM of EXPERTS with Glenn Fullage of Cisco.

I've cut and pasted here for you to read, I think that the problem mentioned below:

    Question:

    Hi Glenn,.

    Following is possible?

I have the vpn client on my PC, my LAN is protected by a pix. I can launch the vpn client to connect to remote pix. Authenticates the vpn client and the remote pix makes my PC with the assigned ip appropriate to its pool of ip address.

The problem that I am facing is that I can not anything across the pix remote ping from my PC which is behind my pix. Can you please guide me what I have to do to make this work, if it is possible?

My PC has a static ip address assigned with the default gateway appropriate pointing to my s pix inside interface.

Thank you very much for any help provided in advance.

    Response from Glenn:

First of all, make sure that the VPN connection works correctly when the remote PC is NOT behind a PIX. If that works fine, but then breaks when put behind a PIX, it is probably that the PIX is PAT, which usually breaks IPSec. Add the following command on your PIX VPN client is behind:

    fixup protocol esp-ike

    See http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/iaabu/pix/pix_sw/v_63/cmdref/df.htm#wp1067379 for more details.

If it still has issues, you can turn on NAT - T on the remote PIX that ends the VPN, the client and the remote PIX must encapsulate then all IPSec in UDP packets that your PIX will be able to PA correctly. Add the following command on the remote PIX:

    ISAKMP nat-traversal

    See http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/iaabu/pix/pix_sw/v_63/cmdref/gl.htm#wp1027312 for more details.

NAT - T is a standard for the encapsulation of the UDP packets inot IETF IPSec packets.

ESP IPSec (Protocol that use your encrypted data packets) is an IP Protocol, it is located just above IP, rather than being a TCP or UDP protocol. For this reason, it has no TCP/UDP port number.

A lot of features that make the translation of address of Port (PAT) rely on a single to PAT TCP/UDP source port number ' ing. Because all traffic is PAT would be at the same source address, must be certain uniqueness to each of its sessions, and most devices use the port number TCP/UDP source for this. Because IPSec doesn't have one, many features PAT fail to PAT it properly or at all, and the data transfer fails.

NAT - T is enabled on both devices of the range, they will determine during the construction of the tunnel there is a PAT/NAT device between them, and if they detect that there is, they automatically encapsulate every IPSec packets in UDP packets with a port number of 4500. Because there is now a port number, PAT devices are able to PAT it correctly and the traffic goes normally.

    Hope that helps.

  • Problem with USB auto connect with clients that connect through the Security server...

Lack of VMware View 5.0.1 with 2 servers connection and a security server. When the clients connect directly to the server connection, USB connection works very well... users can use their USB drives and other devices with their VM. The problem occurs when they attempt to use their USB devices when negotiated through the Security server.

I know that port 32111 (TCP) must be open between the server security and the connection to the server, but even after doing so it does not always work... customers just to get the scrolling message of office in the USB menu initialization.

    Our current facility is:

External IP address-> DMZ (Security Server)-> connect to server

Entrust us our firewall config through our ISP (we are not overloaded with scientists here, it's just me, so things like little help my work load). They are certainly not incompetent (or at least were not in the past). I had to open the external 32111 IP port to the DMZ, then of the DMZ to our connection server that is used for external connections. Everything about VMware View works perfectly for the clients that connect this way, but not USB devices.

One thing I give is if our having a configuration of VLAN dedicated for customers views influence what either. I'm trying to keep an eye on what ports are open that for our firewall for my records, but I do not see where I openly opened ports on the internal side of security server to our internal network. He must have the port opened directly from the internal face of security server of vmware 32111 discovers clients?

The firewall Guys tell me that they checked over and over that port 32111 is open throughout the. They also said that they tried to telnet 32111 to our security server port and have nothing back (should have gotten garbage at least according to them).

An idea of the next steps to take? It is obviously a blocked port, I just have no idea why at this stage.

I know that port 32111 (TCP) must be open between the server security and the connection to the server, but even after doing it still does not work

This is not what it takes. The agent is listening on the port 32111, you must open the firewall to allow connections to the Security server for the desktop on port 32111 (same thing you must allow RDP and PCoIP).

  • V5 vSphere Client VI - connectivity to vCenter Server via the non-ideal DNS configuration

Here's a theoretical question that I fight for an answer at the bottom.   For example, the question is:
    ..
You have a VI Client in Active Directory (AD) domain n ° 1 with its own DNS, DNS #1 System.
You have a server vCenter and ESX hosts in AD #2 with its own system DNS, DNS #2 domain
The vCenter server and esx in AD #2 servers have DNS entries in DNS as follows #2...
    vcenter1. DNS2.com
    Esx1.DNS2.com
    ESX2. DNS2.com
However, in AD #1 the same servers have entered DNS DNS #1 as follows...
    vcenter1. DNS1.com
    Esx1.DNS1.com
    ESX2. DNS1.com
The VI in AD #1 client must connect properly on the vCenter server, using the DNS #1 name vcenter1.dns1.com.   It's pretty obvious.  However, what happens when you start a console KVM remotely to one of the virtual machines on VMware ESX Server?  I don't think it'll work.  I think that the VI client is trying to communicate with the service console of the ESX Server hosting the virtual machine by using the DNS entry of the ESX Server that is known to vCenter server, IE esx1.dns2.com, which is not a FULL domain name in the DNS # 1 VI client.
I need to review this issue for VC2.5U6 with ESX 3.5U5 and an implementation of vSphere 5, even though I think that it is the same for all versions.   Incidentally, I read KB749640, talking about DNS but I don't think it covers where the VI client is a DNS domain disparate with DNS names of the esx servers different to the one known by the VC server.
I hope the above is clear.  Can develop if necessary
    Thank you, Jan

    ESX host name is esx1.test.com.

In provided customer vSphre the hostname for connectivity is different. for example: esx1.prod.com, however this name is directed to the same host with intellectual property.

To do this, we edit hosts file c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.

  • WAG-120N and static ip - wireless and wired clients cannot connect to the internet

    Greetings,

I use the N WAG-120 AP and switch for 3 computers laptops and 2 Office. Our Department is assigned only a what IP static of our server, as well as a pc can connect to the server and the internet. I use the first lan port of the 120N Wag as a WAN port and I attribute the static IP address, and the subnet, default gateway, and DNS addresses. Connected clients receive an ip address from the DHCP (192.168.1.10x) router, but cannot connect to the internet. How can I configure my router to allow clients to connect?

    Thank you in advance!

The default LAN IP of the WAG subnet is 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 belongs to 192.168.0.0/255.255.0.0. This means that 192.168.1.0 IP addresses exist side WAN and LAN of the WAG. What makes this configuration completely cannot be routed.

Change the address LAN IP of the WAG to an IP outside the corporate network, for example using IP addresses private 172.16/12, for example to set the address LAN IP 172.16.1.1 with 255.255.255.0 subnet mask.

The alternative would be to use the WAG as a point of easy access only, and not as a router. However, due to the 255.255.0.0 subnet in your network company you will not be able to access the web interface except from an IP address corresponding to the LAN IP address subnet of the WAG. Of course, this does not affect the wireless or wireline customers connected to the WAG...

  • Client VPN connectivity problems

I use the cisco VPN client to connect to our network, located behind a 515E. The client is authenticated and gets an ip address but cannot ping or connect with one of the hosts. The connection is to a network of customers that is also behind a 515E. I have successfully connected using the same policy to other places and have had no problem. What confuses me, is that we have used to have a Netscreen firewall before and he had a netscreen vpn client which connected since their network with a problem. Is that something they need for their firewall so that we can get through the traffic?

Try to turn on NAT - T on your pix, by setting up:

    ISAKMP nat-traversal 20

and configure the client vpn accordingly:

  • How to force the client to connect to the specific access point?

I have a client that connects to an Access Point to the upper floor.  The connection is "Very low" and pings are restless.  Is there a way to force the client to connect to the point of access on its own soil in the hallway.

    Access Points using 1131AG; WLC2106

    PSK + WPA2

    Thank you

There is not a way to force the client to use a specific side access point controller of things.  According to the specifications, the client decides when and where to associate.  You can try to disable some of the rates below data or lower power tx of the AP to reduce the coverage of each access point cell.  By doing this, the client cannot see the other as favourable AP.

  • Aironet 1142 standalone, no clients can connect to this topic.

    Hello

I have a strange behavior on my standalone 1142, it's been 2 days now. No clients can connect to this topic.

The config has been reset 5 times already, even tried with 3 different versions of IOS and still nothing.

I put this up ever since a few years back now and it worked perfectly.

3 days ago, I changed the PSK, it worked fine for one day and then it happened.

I get the authentication failure of all devices that tried to connect to this topic, I even changed the configuration with no authentication, radio stations are open, the two SSID with no guarantee whatsoever, and even with no encryption I can't connect on it.

Really strange, I was setting up Cisco AP for many years and now I have a black out... I don't know I'm missing something, I can't understand what it is...

    Any help about it please?

  • VPN Client TCP connection to router IOS

    Hello

I try to get a VPN client to connect via TCP to a router. I currently have the router put in place (and work) in using a VPN - UDP. Unfortunately one of the sites I visit will not allow VPN traffic outside of their firewall. I have searched all over the site of Cisco and can't find any information on the IOS configuration to accept TCP - VPN connections. I would like to change the TCP port 80, so my VPN traffic looks like just standard internet browsing my client firewall. Any links/pointer would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi all

I have a VPN configured on cisco 5540. My vpn was working fine, but suddenly there is a question that the cisco vpn client to connect but can not access to the internal network

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Samir,

I suggest that you go to the ASA and check the configuration to make sure that it complies with the requirements according to the reference below link:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a00805734ae.shtml

(The link above includes split tunneling, but this is just an option.

Please paste the output of "sh cry ipsec his" here so that we can check if phase 2 is properly trained. I would say as you go to IPSEC vpn client on your PC and check increment in packets sent and received in the window 'status '.

Let me know if this can help,

I put fallow the steps to disable SSO by changing the webclient.properties line add file and ad sso.enabled = false .    Then on the vCenter Server Appliance, restart the vSphere client service by typing service vsphere-client restart .

This answer was simple, all I had to do was remove the # in front of the statement in the file.   and SSO has been disabled after the restart of the service.

  • VMware vSphere Client - automatic connection

Is it possible to put in place a shortcut that will automatically log on to a server ESXi?

The problem here is that the icon that you use to launch the vSphere client is just Launcher. If you have 3.5, 4.0 and 4.1 hosts the Launcher would make the decision on this client to connect with, according to the destination host. The usual method to find what command line options are available in the windows program is program.exe /? Is listed for the vSphere client.

I had a VM I want to storage vmotion, but I get unable to act thus think the ESX host that a client has connected CD/DVD. No one has any console open to it.

    Vmotion message is:

Virtual machine is configured to use a device that prevents operation: device "CD / DVD Drive 1" is a device connected with remote support [/ quote] "."

When I go to change the settings for this virtual machine, it says under the CD/DVD Drive 1 that it is connected to another customer. Not called Vmware support, they have got no idea, tried to restart pass and vpxa, but neither helped either.

Someone has any idea how to solve this problem, without power down?

If the CD is connected to the client device connection persists until it is manually disconnected or connected person CD closed session (vSphere Client). Even if the VM Console is closed connection persists.
