I have a Lenovo 3000 N200 (0687-A11) with Windows XP SP3 (I downgraded it from Vista to XP myself) and the following problems occur;
In Windows XP when I close the lid of the system goes into sleep mode, but open the lid again starts the system but does not turn the screen. I have to press the power on button for a few seconds and turn off the system and back on again, which then leads to the screen working again.
When I put the computer power options to do nothing when I close the lid, the screen turns off and light up again.
I also connected the laptop to an external monitor and then put the laptop to sleep, but then the external monitor does not turn on either.
This problem also occurs on laptop my father, a laptop HP Compaq 6710 b with Windows XP (downgraded from Vista to XP also).
Any type of help is considered! I asked this question on many forums and havn't received a response...

I HAVE NOW FIXED MY PROBLEM! IF WINDOWS XP is not SO SHIT NOW is jenak37?
What I had to do was to reformat and reinstall windows xp and now it works fine. I installed all the drivers and my usual programs and now it goes into sleep mode & wakes her up with success.

Presario CQ61 screen will not return to 100% light level after opening lid or moder sleep
I use Windows 7-64 bit and everytime that I open my laptop lid or put the adapter in the connection of my screen is always grayed out and not at the level of brightness of 100%. I checked the power saving and all options are defined by default, the only way to fix this is to do a full hardware reboot and reconnect.
Anyone who has experienced similar problems and have a fix for this you? TIA.

I've had this laptop for 2 years and never had any problems, but a few days when I move the screen to open, adjust or close the screen shakes and display different colors.

In my opinion it s definitely a hardware problem.
Either there is something wrong with the connection or the screen itself.
It seems that you have no experience in the laptop repair and so there is no sense in doing this.
First of all, I doubt that you have all the tools to check what part is affected and then you could damage other parts while removing the procedure.
So I think that you should get in touch with local laptop technician and should first try to know what's exactly wrong
Then you can decide what you would then do
I mean the screen is one of the expensive components for laptop and possibly it s not worth buying a new

The same problem with my 20 has 7. Lenovo said machine is DOA and I should have the motherboard replaced (they have no respondent relly on that much, technology has decided that, in 1 minute).

Adobe Reader hangs after opening a document
This is a recurring problem with Adobe Reader.
Shortly after opening a document, the reader freezes for a few seconds. Who knows why, there probably accessing the network or tries to do something smart, which results in the user not being able to read the paper for a while.
I tried to disable the 'smart' options as much as I could, but without success. Could someone work around this bug to Adobe Reader without end?
I admit that I am tired of this monster of a program, why can't Adobe keep the reader a light application, instead of throwing all those useless features, ads and other uglinesses...?
The best solution was really throw Adobe Acrobat Reader and install Foxit Reader instead. Thanks anyway.

Display driver is up to date.
No sensor light in this unit.
Eco mode is set to off.
Integrated webcam is disabled.
Intel Graphics Control Panel is set to Maximum performance.
Would appreciate ideas.
(On a side note. It's really, really frustrating. It would be so great that "innovative" really thought through the ramifications of features such as adaptive brightness goes haywire. I have to constantly stop and let my eyes adjust to the light. Why build a feature like this? How many people benefit? "Innovation is looking for a need, and then by creating something new to solve - do not have back on a Chair and thought" wouldn't be cool if the monitor automatically adjusted brightness! "People ask for this? Please, Toshiba, Microsoft and the who, to think before creating features that aren't necessary and completely destroy the user experience if they don't work well.)
downgrade to driver intel original, and adaptive brightness adjustment... will work with newer drivers from the site of intel that setting does not work.
