    Hi @Jayburn,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that the back comes out on top down, when duplex printing with your HP Officejet 6700 Premium, Windows 7. I am pleased to see that for you!

Please, take a look through this guide, print on both sides of the paper (duplex printing) for HP Officejet Premium 6700 e-all-in-one printer (H711). Follow the instructions for Windows.

    Guidelines General double-sided printing

Do not print on both sides of the following types of paper, or paper jams may occur:

    • Transparencies
    • Envelopes
    • Photo paper
    • Glossy paper
    • Paper lighter than 60 g/m2 (16 lb).
    • Heavier than 105 g/m2 (28 lb) paper.

Several kinds of paper require a specific orientation when you print on both sides of a sheet. It's letterhead, preprinted paper and paper with watermarks and pre-perfores holes. The printer will print the first side of the first book. Load the paper with the top edge first and the side to be printed facing downwards.

    I hope this helps!

There should be an option in layout to "Flip on long edge" or "return on the short edge.  Change this setting to change the orientation of the back page.

If this does not resolve the problem that, please indicate what operting system you have and the number of exact model.

  • 7410 double sided printing

Well here I am again with printing problems.

I have a Mac Book Pro using OS 10.9.5, Mavericks. I managed to solve my problem of printing and scanning with the help of Shlomil. In addition, it helped me some time ago with a problem printing double-sided. Now I find I have the same problem with printing face double but am unable to follow his advice (which fixed the problem the last time)...

Now, the print face area two does not appear on the menu drop down print! So, I went to the following (using the latest tips provided Shlomil)...

"1. Verify duplex printing accessory has been installed correctly." To check this open system preferences and go to the Printers & Scanners. Open the print to your printer queue. Click Printer Setup and in the tab menu choose driver. Make sure that the box next to HP printing accessory (duplexer) sides. »

However, when I select "Open Print Queue" there is no 'Printer Setup' in the tab menu. So I can not check the "accessory of HP print two-sided (duplexer) is checked" (unless I'm doing something wrong). I and #2.

    2. on the file menu, select print. The print window is displayed.
NOTE: The print window might be minimized. Click on show details to see all available parameters.

    3. in the print window expanded you will find next to Copies the checkbox for duplex. Select the check box.
NOTE: If the check box does not appear in the specific application print dialog box, skip this step.

I skipped the step above, given that the print face area two does not appear on the print drop-down Menu (and no window available extended printing).

    I went #4.

    4. to select the connection type click the selection box below, listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

    5. Select the menu drop down.

    6. set the duplex option as binding edge Long (Portrait) or binding Long Edge (landscape).

Now, I do not show a "binding" type in the page layout"selection on the menu drop down, etc.

Shlomil suggested if it doesn't reset the printing system. I'm really scared to do because I have 3 printers and a scanner in different places. When I chose the lower reset printing system to the low said he would remove all... all printers, scanners, fax machines, etc.

Is there a less severe alternative? I'm puzzled! This all worked before (two-sided printing, printing/scanning). The only thing I can think is at this moment I have correct permissions to update or a newer operating system.

    Help, please!

Well... I can't believe!  Please ignore my ramblings.

I have mucked in the things of the printer and 'Printers and Scanners' system preferences, selected "Options & supplies" rather than "Open Print Queue" and then choose "Options". The accessory "HP" box of double-sided (Duplex) printing lies. It has not been verified. Although I don't know how he got uncontrolled, I checked that and it fixed my problems.

    Thanks again

  • C6280 issues with double-sided printing

    Hey all,.

For some time (we are talking years) I didn't relize I had a duplexer on my machine. I was doing the old-fashioned way: print a page, open the drawer, this page, return the program prints the next page, etc... One day I was flipping autour and saw print on both sides. I thought: ' Eureka, the answer to all my problems. " Evil.

After discovering that I had a duplexer, I was eager to try duplex printing everything and it seemed to work great.

However, lately things have been a bit wacky. For example, when I try to print something double-sided in Word, I normally go to the screenshot and select "print on both sides, back on the short edge," but lately the result is only the last page being printed. The printer prints the last page, it reverses and spits out a blank page on the other side. If a document that has 5 pages, for example, will result in page 5 only printing. This is also true for the PDF and PowerPoint. I have not tried anything else, or I don't remember anything else being sucessfully printed double-sided, I print from these 3 programs frequently. So as a solution, I found that I can go to the printer properties and select "printing double-sided (Duplex)", then "manual" selecing. It was also great to work for a period of time, print the odd pages and then I would feed them manually in the status bar. still a better solution to what I was accustomed to years (above).

    That was until last night.

I tried to print a PowerPoint Presentation two-sided document and some of the pages are out, that in a single page had a normal top margin, the following page may have a slightly larger margin, the page after that might a slightly smaller margin, etc... I thought that maybe the Fed just book funny and tried again. Results were the same. I tried to print a PDF file which also resulted in some pages being off. I opened the drawer, made sure the paper was stacked right and was about 20 pages, took off the duplexer and made sure the wheels were spining properly, unplugged the unit for one minute, etc... Nothing worked and it seemed to get worse because I lost paper trying to get to the bottom of it. Some of the pages even started to be printed in the correct order, as in page 1 and page 3 gathered front/rear instead of page 1 and page 2 combined front/rear. So I thought that it must be in the software.

I unplugged the printer, all completely uninstalled, rebooted, ran a registry cleaner, rebooted, downloaded the latest version of the software of HP and performed a clean installation, rebooted, installed the latest driver from HP, rebooted. I did this last all night and the approach seemed to fix the problem with margins. However, I still go on printing double-sided manually. Then this morning I got since I solved a problem, the automatic feeding through the duplexer should work. No joy, 'thing' has been up to his old tricks, only spitting the last page, as if the rest of the pages never made it to the printer. I even went to Devcies and printers > printer properties and I tried to put the duplexer as "installed". Seems that he likes to go back to "not installed".

Someone at - it ideas as to what my problems are?

    I am running:

    Windows 7 x 64

    4 GB DDRM

    Intell Core 2 Duo P7350 2.00 GHz

    Office 2010

    Adobe Reader 11.0.06

    I use HP paper

Network (but the problems occur also on USB)

Major changes other than windows updates not normal.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Well, I solved the problem. I played around with a bunch of parameters and magically it just started working. Do not know what settings or a combination of parameters does the job. Looks like it was just a fluke. Lets hope it continues to work properly because I like having the ability to print double sided without manually moving the paper.

  • Affecting HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 without borders on and printing double-sided "return on the long edge.

I want enabled no border and return on the long edge, I got another printer installation.  But on the 8610, I get the same dialog box and chose of ' keep this setting, and I will change it later ", but it does not allow me to have the two settings in this way.

    I have some WONDERFUL NEWS!

The 8610 printer (and it was the printer 8600) replaces my HP
OfficeJet 9110, which I've owned for about a decade.

My "existing" Linux computer cannot print on it.  (I have a very old)
Version of CUPS and at the time I gave it - and I don't have a lot of time
-I have not been able to install a more recent version.)  But, my most recent office
Computer Linux is a system of 20 of Fedora.  (And, the goal is to have the most recent
Linux Desktop become my Linux after I get everything copied and
    configured for it).

Last week, I installed a new version of HPLIP on it.  Is not only
It give me the ability to print in duplex/duplex, but it also prints
    without borders!

I am able to print without margins and double-sided printing, using half of the book
    Once again!

I'm happy with that resolved, now that I've installed marked HPLIP!  :-D

  • How to print double-sided in In Design when certain sections have an odd number of pages?

I'm new to In Design and I'm doing something that seems pretty basic and the difficulty in finding ways to do it and I have not found anything in the Adobe Forum or online that responds to this situation.

I'm working on a document that is divided into sections, with page numbering starts at Page 1 for each section.  I have mirror image layouts for odd pages and even masters - for example, the page number is on the left on even pages and to the right of the odd pages, as you would expect generally to see on a double-sided print, where in a workbook or a workbook, the even-numbered pages are on the left and odd pages are on the right.

I print the document from my computer to a printer that supports double-sided printing.  I don't see any option in the file / print window to two face impression, so I put this option on the printer itself by using the [Setup...] button at the bottom of the window.  It works - I'm printing on both sides of sheets of paper.

For the moment, the first section is 3 pages (two blocks spread with the first page, one with the other two).  The next starts of section by number 1 on the third page spread (one page) and continues then a two-page spread - as expected.

That is the problem - the first page of the second section is printing on the back of the last sheet of the first section, rather than on a new sheet from the front - so when I put it in a binder, the odd pages are on the same pages on the right and the left.  Whenever I have reached the end of another section with an odd number of pages, she rotates on itself again.

There is a workaround solution manual I found - browse the document and add a blank page at the end of each section that has an odd number of pages (and check "print blank Pages).  But I have to do every time I feel that I am adding new pages and add/remove blank pages the number at each change of sections.

I can't believe that In Design does not provide a way to make this work correctly, I'm sure a lot of people have had this same situation, and I hope it is something simple that just, I have not been able to understand...

    Help! (Thanks!  B ^)

Frankly, it's a feature of the years, I tried, and I expect a professional page layout application to have. Something on the order of "duplex respect page layout." It would be very useful when printing only part of a document that happens to start with a page of pairs.

I do catalogs in the sections, and each section begins with a left page. When duplex printing a section given, I must print this page first separately and duplex then the rest. Kind of pain and should not be necessary.

  • Problems of pagination for the file InDesign book

I'm working on an e-book. I need all the chapters first on their own page, then I broke my original document in separate chapters and created an InDesign book file.

    FYI, I work in CS5.5

I have read/seen information about pagination for a book file and I put in place so that the numbering of the pages 'continues the previous document. But each chapter, I bring you, begins with page 1 in the file book (instead of continue). No matter what I tried, I just can't get the numbering to flow continuously through the book.

Would not be a big problem, since my e-book will not have the numbers, but when I save this file book as an ePub, which converts a single chapter (depending on which is the source of style) - not the entire book with several chapters.

Can someone help me understand what goes wrong?

  • Print double-sided of odd number of pages

I have Adobe Reader 10.0.2 instalied on my iMac Mac OS with a Canon Pixma iP4200 printer 10.6.7. Since the installation of this version of the player I came across a curious problem with PDF files print double face with an odd number of pages.

For example, a three page PDF printed double-sided file. The first page prints first, then pages 2 and 3 are printed double-sided. This leaves a blank page on the back of page 1 that is INCORRECT and was intrigued. Standard double-sided printing should have pages 1 and 2 back-to-back and page 3 with a blank page on the back.

All my other software on my iMac prints only odd numbered file double face properly. It's only the 10.0.2 player who has this problem and would like a solution.
