Computer blocks each mode 'sleep' last days 6
Whenever my computer goes into sleep mode, it hangs and I have to turn off the power strip and restart completely. After that, everything is completely normal-internet, etc. I am also able to download the latest update for Windows XP service pack 4. My computer seems to have these issues because the automatic update attempted to instlall TI-that's 6 days ago. I searched through dozens of these blog Q and as attempt to many suggestions, none that worked until now. Could you help it refine a bit and solve my problem?

Lose my ethernet internet connection when the computer goes into mode 'sleep '.
I have a desktop with Windows Vista. I have my internet through a cable company. I've never had problems of connectivity for 2 years and then out of no where he would pass the signal after mode 'sleep'. I had the cable company come out and check on all equipment and it's good that now, I'm still clueless and confused. The connection icon have an exclamation point in a yellow triangle and say "limited connectivity" and «identify...» "and then I click on Local area connection status and make a diagnostic test that will get me connected to"network 2 "until it goes into sleep mode and then the process repeats. It's boring say the least. When I login and go to the LAKE State he says;
IPv4 connectivity: Internet
IPv6 connectivity: limited
Media state: enabled
Duration:
Speed: 100.0 Mbps
He said that the issue is resolved after each diagnostic test, but then it happens again. I need some help pleaseeee!
> I need some help pleaseeee!
But you're in the wrong group! It is a problem with your network driver
or your Windows installation. You have this repost to a suitable for Windows Vista
Forum. It is possible that a newer driver from the network has a problem with sleep
mode, you should try another pilot (older or newer).
From your description, there is a problem to renew the lease of your
DHCP server (which must be running on your router), it does not use the
IP address assigned earlier or he does not do / IP address (which
should be the same) we get the router. It is also possible that the
problem is with the router or a new firmware on this subject. You should study
These two avenues, including a replacement of the router and firmware.
Another very simple solution is to configure your PC for a static IP number and
leave it like that. In the forum, I mentioned, people will be able to talk to you
through this option if you don't know how to do this.--

Computer won't turn on after the mode 'sleep'
My computer acted funny lately when it goes into mode 'sleep', and I have to reboot it until I can do something new. I know I'm not the only one having this problem, I've read the other posts on this problem. Anyway, my keyboard has a sleep button that I brush occasionally, that causes all this to happen. However, I brushed it today, and instead to go just in a coma, the computer entered into mode 'sleep' (the light was orange, noise died down), then woke up to the top in a way where the fan on, but the light went off. I've forced to close and then turned back on. Now when I turn it on, the light and fan both going on, but the monitor remains off, and none of the lights on the keyboard lights up. Is there a simple solution to this, or it will need repairs?
Hello
Were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?
Perform the steps from the link below.

Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Disk defragmentation. will take place every week at 01:00. Computer is in "standby" at that time. Is this why disk frag does not happen every week? When I defragment manually I have to confirm the status of administrator... it would have something to do with it? I use Windows 7 Home Premium.
Hello Lauren,
Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.
You did it any significant hardware or change software on the computer before this problem?
I understand that disk defragmentation does not work as expected. When this works even if your computer is in "sleep". Therefore, I would suggest trying the following steps and check if the problem persists.
Method 1:
Step 1: Check if the Disk Defragmenter service is running.
a. click Start and type services.msc in the search box.
(b) in the Services window, double-click the Disk Defragmenter service.
c. check if the Disk Defragmenter service is set to Automatic Started .Step 2: The question may arise also because of the intervention of third-party software. So, I suggest clean boot of the system and check if the scheduled defragmentation works.
How to perform a clean boot in Windows
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135Note: See "how to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting" to prepare the computer to start as usual after a repair. "
Method 2:
Try to set the Defragmenter to wake up the computer from the mode "sleep" and check if it works.
- Click Start, type taskschd.msc and press enter.
- In the left pane, click the arrow next to the Task Scheduler Library, Microsoftand Windows to expand the folders.
- Click the defrag folder.
- In the center pane, right-click on ScheduledDefrag and click Properties.
- Click the general tab.
- Check the box run with the highest privileges .
- Click the Conditions tab.
- Check the box to enable the computer to run this task and click OK.
- Close Task Scheduler.
Check if the Defragmenter works to wake up the computer from the mode "sleep" as expected.
If Disk Defragmenter does not at all, then we can see the post from Bill R TechSpec responded on 19 May 2011 in the following thread.
Hope this information is useful. If the problem still persists, please post back for further assistance, we will be happy to help you.

Win 7 Pro 64-bit restarts immediately after entering mode 'sleep'
When my computer starts in mode 'sleep' it wakes you up in 2 or 3 seconds each time. I put all devices except the keyboard do not allow to wake up. I checked powercfg - lastwake and I get the following for the last wake-up device:
USB\Root_HUB20\4 & 3021f81 & 0
I tried to remove my external USB hard drive and he rewakes always after only 2 or 3 seconds. I have nothing else plugged into my USB ports. When I go to Device Manager and look at the tab for ads of hub power management root USB (2) they are not checked for to wake up.
I use McAfee for my resident protection and he doesn't find anything. I ran an external analysis with eSet, who found nothing. I also ran a Malwarebytes scan which found nothing. SUPERAntiSpyware found some ad/tracking cookies that have been deleted.
I did a system restore 8 days ago until I noticed that this problem and which did not solve the problem.
Is there anything else I can do or check to try to solve this problem?
Thank you.
I put all the features "do not allow" as a result and now he's going to sleep.
I'll ocnsider that this closed.

My hard drive will not close in mode 'sleep'
My hard drive runs continuously when my iMac 2011 model is put into mode 'sleep' or expires in mode 'sleep'. I guess that's the drive I can hear something quietly spinning inside.and computer is a little warm. It started only in recent weeks. Before that, the computer has been completely silent and gave off no heat. the operating system is El Capitan.
Hello, Blue Roses,
Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.
I see that you have a problem with the hard drive of your iMac running when your computer goes into mode 'sleep'. I know how it is important to make sure you slowed down your drive hard when you have to. I'll be more than happy to help you with this.
You can activate the option "Put hard drives to sleep when possible" in preferences energy saver of your iMac by following this path: Apple menu > System Preferences > energy saver > put a check mark next to hard drives was able to sleep when possible. Once you have enabled this, test and see if you get the same result with the rotation of the hard drive.
The following article contains more information on energy-saving preferences:
Preferences of OS X El Capitan: energy saving
If you still have a question after that, try to start your computer in safe mode and create a new user to see if you get the same result in both. This can help to identify the problem of the current user and the whole system. The following articles will help:
OS X El Capitan: start in safe mode
OS X El Capitan: set up users on your Mac.
See you soon!
