Drive HARD PX1267E - 1 32 external Toshiba with driver problem

Hello

I have an external hard drive Toshiba PX1267E - 1 32. I used it with XP and it worked.
Now, I tried to install it on vista, but it does not work.
I insert the CD with the driver and the hard drive is closed.

If I try to use it, it comes the screen installation of Macromedia Flash Player with two options:
«External hard drive»
"Regen install".

When I click on one of them, nothing happens.
Why I can't install the driver? What can or should I do? Thank you for your help.

My operating system is windows Vista Home Basic, 32-bit

Hello

I think that the driver you want to install is not compatible with the Vista operating system!

Have you checked if a compatible driver is available on the European driver Toshiba page?

You should check the area of devices drive Options!

Good luck

    Hello

I have a Latitude E7470 for work and when I started to use it with my docking station for external monitors, I was noticed a similar problem as grew up in the thread below. One of my two external monitors would be (seemingly at random) twinkle time or periodically to a point where he was distracted. In addition, I see the graphics card down several times after the publication of this kind of problems.

I implemented the "fix" that has been bound (and marked as the answer to the thread) over lunch a week ago, and more things are unhinged from there. Basically, I'm at this point cannot connect to all external monitors through the docking station. I resorted to having one monitor connected via HDMI, but hardly conducive to the work environment and I would really like my monitor Setup several back (even with the problem of flashing, at least).

Is it possible to undo the actions that I ran, or is there a fix more up-to-date for this problem?

Any response and advice would be greatly appreciated. I really do not have to resort to obtaining a different style docking station (USB 3.0) if I can help.

  • Problem with HD external Toshiba PX1267E - 1 32

    Hi all.

I had an external hard drive Toshiba PX1267E - 1 32 for awhile now and its fantastic. I normally run on Windows XP, and recently, I started using Windows 7.

When I plug in the external hard drive in, the password box opens, I get the password, indicates the password has been entered successfully, and I click ok.

The HD is supposed to rev and load the data as another drive partition so that I can access the data stored on the hard drive of course, but this isn't the case on Windows 7. Nothing happens after I have well validate my password.

I also tried removing my restriction password, but all that load is the password of the external HD partition. I am running in administrator mode, but nothing helped.

Can someone please tell me how to load to the top of my "data" of the partition HD external Toshiba PX1267E - 1 32.

    Thank you much in advance,

    Hello

I'm not quite sure if it will work, but you can try to access the m windows * disk management * and can check if the HARD drive or partition could be formatted.

Perhaps then the HARD drive would be recognized in my computer (Explorer) and you can access the HARD disk.

    Select this check box.

    @stu

Not because of the number of pixels, in this photo and the chosen level of quality there is no possible way to create a JPG file to the size of file you requested. You must change your export settings.

Show us a copy of the export dialog box, so we can see clearly the part file setting and the size of the Image.

Also indicate the number of this image (width and height) pixels after cropping (as appropriate) and prior to export.

  • External Toshiba HDD problem. Something wrong with Windows I think.

Toshiba ALU 3.5 "1.5 TB external HARD drive problem
    Hello!

I'm having a problem with a new external HARD drive, I bought a couple of months.

The HARD drive is recognized by Windows XP as a disk 3,5 '' HARD, but then he invites for drivers and never.
They say drivers should be on the HARD drive itself, but my computer does not access the drive and never
He attributes a letter or anything like that.

The disc works on all the other computers I've tried with. My computer is since 2006, so maybe
It is an age problem. I do not know.

I drive came as FAT32 and I tried to format it in NTFS, but it does not work.

I have completely updated the DELL drivers (bios, chipset, etc) and Microsoft (SP3/etc), then it cannot be a problem of drivers, it can?

    MORE DETAILS:

Hey guys, it seems that the problem is more complicated. Here are two other discoveries that later, I did:

I accidentally uninstalled a USB root hub, and all of my usb devices stopped working. I had to read on how to re - install, and most of the people, said that Windows should do it by itself. There can be no. So the next thing I did was uninstall all the USB controllers, on the assumption that Windows XP should reinstall automatically thereafter. Windows did not have this too!

Although Windows has detected something, it does not recognize as a controller and have not installed the drivers for them. I had to manually tell Windows to look in C:/windows\system32\drivers and C:/Windows/c:\windows\servicepackfiles/i386 to each controller. It was tiring.

I finally reinstalled all my usb controllers and my webcam works well again. But has not fixed the problem HARD drive.

This is related somehow the problem of HARD drive, because I plugged my hard drive to a friend's computer and tried to put my computer on a USB key. Guess what, the USB is noticed by windows, but not recognized or installed in 'my computer '. The same story!

I must tell you that in early December, I removed an old Go 700 Siemens drive of my system without "Safely uninstall" and it crashed HARD drive. Now, I realize that this accident probably missed my copy of windows, or my computer. I'm not sure of that... ?

I believe that all these problems are related. It seems centered on the ability of Windows to detect large storage via USB devices. My webcam, for example, works very well.

Well, I'm always working hard to solve this problem, but if you have any ideas, please let me know!

    All the best,
    M.

  • Alternative to the reset by Satellite A660 for potential HARD drive problem

In the last week or two, I got a few blue screens, saying he was driving demand, and that windows must be shut down to avoid damage my computer.

I have just restart and continue working.
The last time it happened, I had repeatedly "initialization failed" and it says hdd, SDS, fdd. If I pressed the power button until I didn't see no signs of activity, then started. Things went well. I called Toshiba support and they recommended that I go home and save my files before continuing. It took hours selectively to clean, sort the previous backups, and a small footprint of the backup system.

When I called Toshiba once again, they recommended a "takeover", which is restoring the factory settings. It puts me in the stone age. I have to go through a never-ending process of the upgrade to Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, install and reconfigure all the applications and environments/configurations, etc. It will essentially take on holiday, if not more. I'll also have to get another computer (maybe a netbook) to stay in touch while I restart my laptop. It's barely more than a year.

Is there a diagnosis I can do to determine the probability that there is a hard drive problem? Support for Toshiba said that is the surest way, because it provides a diagnostic F10 for the hard disk code, and it also pushes the bad sectors at the end of the disc (logically, I suppose, since you can't physically move a fault).

    > About Hitachi DFT, is it important that my HARD drive is Toshiba mk6465gsx? This is what is displayed "Hard drives" in the Device Manager.

It s no matter what HARD drive manufacturer, it is the Drive Fitness Test is able to scan all hard drives to find errors.

    > Also, http://www.hitachigst.com/support/downloads/#DFTshows links to create boot disks, but I was wondering if I could create a bootable instead.

Not sure if this is possible if there is that one option to create a startup disk, and then a flash stick does not work. But of course you can try this out.

    > This laptop does not come with a floppy drive, and I still create coasters trying to burn discs.
You don't need the floppy drive, the tool must create a disk bootable (CD)

    > I guess that the same question can be asked on Memtest86. Another issue is the relevance of Memtest86 for my system. My c drive has a "Program Files" folder, but also a "Program Files (x 86)" folder for 32-bit applications. Memtest86 is for the x 86 architecture. I don't know if my 64-bit Windows 7 involves a non - x 86 architecture.

I guess that Memtest86 should also work on Win 7 64 bit systems. But also the MemTest 4.20 is 64-bit capable

  • Hard drive problems Windows Vista Ultimate Edition

Well guys, that it left me speechless.  I recently inherited a laptop from a friend who is fairly new and in good condition.  The laptop, a Toshiba Techra A9, installed Windows Vista Ultimate.  The problem that I seem to have with the laptop is that it will start Windows in normal mode but gets up to a certain point and then hangs up.  I can hear the drive trying to be rolled up and continues to make a rattling noise, similar to a folder that jumps.  The funny thing is that I can turn the machine off and restart in SafeMode w / networking with no problems.  I tried a hard drive cool to think the problem could be a faulty drive, however, the new drive does the same thing.  I installed Vista via the Toshiba Recovery CD, and from the beginning for the first time Windows has frozen, the new hard drive making the same noise as the old.  Anyone out there have any ideas why this is happening?  Install a new hard drive and having the same problem son believe me that it is related Windows or I'll have another hardware problem elsewhere on the machine.  Thank you!!

Try to check the drivers on the computer to the hard drive. If you can, go to the MMC Console in computer management, go to the Device Manager, and then in the console tree, you should see a line of 'hard drives. Down there, you should be able to see your hard drive. Right-click and click Properties, then go to the drivers of the popup window and note the driver version number. Check on the Toshiba site and see if there are updates to the hard disk driver. If there is, then install it. In addition, you can start safe mode and run your antivirus, assuming that he himself has not been compromised. It seems to be a software problem or driver since you say that you can start safe mode. • Laptop Toshiba with Windows 7 Home Prem OA: damaged HDD / Act. key / No boot DVD

    Hello world

My Toshiba laptop (Satellite P855-S5200) broke down and Im forced to replace my hard drive. As this laptop came with a preinstalled window, I don't have any starting device to activate my Window 7 Home Premium 64-bit again.

The sticker on the back of my laptop said: Window 7 Home Prem OA.

    (1) what it means? What is the difference between mine and a regular version of window 7 Home Premium?

I researched and found "X 17-58997 ISO» (2) it work to activate my Window 7 Home Prem OA? My laptop says 'X 16-96072' (3) I want to say I find that version to work for my laptop? If Yes, where can I find it?

If I want to switch to Window 7 Professional How can I do? Can I just buy a Window 7 Professional Windows and install it?

    Please help! Greatly appreciated!

If Santanu suggestion is not viable because your PC is no longer under warranty then try the following (and Yes you touch will activate Windows that you install Windows 7 Home Premium).

    (1) download the Windows 7 proper. ISO file that includes Service Pack 1
(Note: must match for your product key version)

How do I know if I have a version of 32 or 64 Bit of Windows installed on my computer:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/find-out-32-or-64-bit

    Windows 7 Home Premium 32 Bit: http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-58996.iso
    SHA1 hash: 6071B4553FCF0EA53D589A846B5AE76743DD68FC
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit: http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-58997.iso
    SHA1 hash: 6C9058389C1E2E5122B7C933275F963EDF1C07B9

    (2) after downloading the correct .iso file install HashCalc and validate the SHA1 hash value
is correct. If the download is not corrupted, the value HashCalc returns will be the value of SHA1 I posted.
    HashCalc: http://www.slavasoft.com/hashcalc/index.htm

    (3) then use ImgBurn or ISO gear to burn a bootable DVD.

Create a Windows 7 Bootable DVD using the. ISO file

ImgBurn - in addition to supporting the creation of CD/DVD of. ISO files,

    ====================== Keyless Install ================================

How to make a 'Keyless Install"of Windows:

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD disc, you create and launch the installation.

After you have entered the user name and password that you will be asked:
"Type your Windows product key", do not enter a key.
Also located just below the box where you enter the key is a box with a check mark
to "Automatically activate Windows when I'm online", remove the check box and click "next".

You now have a 30-day grace period to activate Windows.

During the grace period, you can install your device drivers,
run Windows updates and solve other problems or issues.
Once you are satisfied everything is working properly, and then activate Windows.

    ====================== Device Drivers ===============================

Go to your computer manufacturer's support web site and search for Windows 7 drivers for your specific model number.

If there are Windows 7 drivers, then to download to a folder on your hard drive and install all of them, starting with the card drivers mother/chipset, SATA, LAN, Audio, USB, graphics, Webcam, Etc., and so on.

  • -Portege Z10t 13 V graphic driver problems and lag with W10

    Hello

    Please excuse my bad English,

I just bought the Z10t A 13V PT 141, with W8.1. This computer works fine on W8, but I want to install W10. I already tried 3 times but each time, the cursor (with the touch pad or mouse) is lagging behind, each movement is jerky and works very well. I tried to see if it was a driver problem and downloaded new drivers from Toshiba for the W10.

I did the same thing with Intel drivers, but for graphics drivers, there is an error message: "a custom computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel driver update utiliy is not able to update the driver. Install a generic Intel driver instead of the driver from the computer manufacturer custom can cause technical problems. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer.

When I'm with W8, drivers are correctly updated...

So I think that the cursor problem is due to this driver problem (I hope so, but I'm not sure). What is the solution? I'M alone with this problem?

    Thank you

    Thomas

    Hello Thomas,.

EXACTLY the same problem here with my uograded Portege Z10t-A-140 to WIN 10.
I also took the same steps and encountered the same problems and no solution.
I find Toshiba after sale customer VERY INEFFECTIVE and disappointing, because it seems no way to get a support PROFESSIONAL from Toshiba on this issue (or any other for that matter).
Note that I absolutely do not consider helping other users on a forum or self-help a form of professional support at all!
    -> Not happy with Toshiba!
