Driver CD/DVD not recognized__
Cannot find my CD/DVD driver. I had a guy come to my house and had computer replaced CD/DVD driver and is still not recognized. He couldn't fix it, he said. I tried to run Fix It without success. OK, now that that? Thank you.

Until a few days ago, this problem didn't exist - I know. My CD/DVD drive is no longer recognized in Windows Explorer, BIOS or Device Manager. It doesn't, however, appears briefly in Windows Explorer in the analysis of the security of the computer. It allows to open/close, etc. and when it is visible, I am able to open the drive and see the contents of the CD. Then it disappears again. The light flashes indicating that he works and I can hear it trying to read the CD. I uninstalled iTunes because I read somewhere that this may have been the issue - but that didn't work. I tried the system restore, registry cleaners, removal of upper/lower case filters from the registry, used the program Fixit found on the site Web of Microsofts etc and still no luck. Any ideas? Windows 7 installation problem: device driver cd/dvd not found___
I am running Windows XP 32-bit and just bought the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I ran the update Advisor and I can run the 64-bit version - I'm running a 3gig dual-core rig.
When I start the computer from the windows disk it says above (job title) after waiting ages in the installation program. It is not also take me to a page to do a clean install, as in windows XP when you went blue screen startup. All I want to do is to format my C drive and install Windows 7 above, but happens as if I want to that I don't have.I don't want to format my hard drive to find that Windows 7 does not correctly or the other? Any suggestions? Why what is happening and why can't I just do a clean install - i.e. Delete partition, format partition etc and install Windows 7?

Satellite P100-194 (Win XP MCE, Bios-Version 2.20)
Given that excessive vibration of the drive DVD-Multi-with some of my DVDs and CDs, I would not use the acoustic silencer, but West no difference between Silent Mode and Normal Mode.
I tried to reinstall the silent acoustic tool, without success. As this problem starts to get really annoying, any help would be appreciated.
I wonder if the built-in-multi-DVD player is sensitive by default (sometimes entire Notepad starts vibrating combined with a noise level very high during playback of a dvd)?

I think that acoustic silencer simply limited the rate at which information can be obtained on CD/DVD in order to prevent the rotation high speed that can sometimes occur when extracting the CD or the DVD to the hard drive. If you're just watching DVDs (or listening to CD, by the way) then the speed of the drive will be not particularly high because once the buffer is full so there is no need to read more data from the disc itself. If you look at the car LED, you'll see that it only lights intermittently ever.
The speed of the drive will decrease during playback, as the laser reads information from the outer part of the disc surface.
The presence of noise and vibration normally indicates that the disk is "eccentric" or is not set centrally in the reader, and this may indicate a possible problem with the clamping mechanism itself. However, it is always worth checking that the center hole of the disc itself has no Burr or pieces of materila which he would lift off, and it is also useful to check if the label of the disc (assuming that it is a type of stick on paper) is properly attached and has no loops or bubbles in it since this may also cause noise of air.
I have the experience of a couple of game of CD-ROM discs that cause a lot of noise and vibrations in my book and recording, I found that the central hole was slightly shifted.

I recently had some problems with my registry and other places after receiving unknown virus problems. Now, I believe that this caused my componet cd/dvd not work or even be recognized.
