Droid: damaged SD card

I had a problem with the camera and the gallery app for the last days.  I tried to look in the cache by launching the phone on my pc.  After trying in vain to copy or remove photos from the DCIM/camera (or something like that - have not mounted him right now to check the exact name), I removed the SD card (Yes, the right way by stopping on the PC and arresting then on the phone) and turned off the phone.  In order to reguister for this forum, I also had to remove the battery to find the serial number of the phone.

In any case, to make a long story short, when I turned the phone back on, I have now a message that the SD card is damaged and that maybe I need to reformat.  When I tried to format it, I now get a message that says "SD card Virgin or has unsupported file system.  Now what?  I ruined my phone?

Hi, I saw a few mentions on the backup of your applications in the case where you need to clean your phone.  Where are your installed applications, anyway?  I have watched with various file managers and not identified their location. It's on the SD card or on the phone?  And how would save them you?  Thank you!

  • Windows, 3 beeps and new graphics card will not start

    Hello

has obtained a HP p6-2105eo, windows 7. At a radeon HD 5670 graphics card that works very well. Bought a Gigabyte GeForce GTX650 2 GB. Can see screen start and seems it does not respond by clicking the Esc key. I hear 3 beeps with a delay of 20 to 30 seconds after each beep. After several minutes (2-3 minutes), the screen goes black with a command prompt flashes at the top of the screen on the left and nothing more.

Think it might be damaged the card, so went to the store and got me a Gigabyte GeForce GTX660 OC 2 GB instead. The same problem.

Also updated to the latest version of the available for my motherboard BIOS to: 2012-08-14, Version7.16 Rev A, 2.87 M

Also already replaced at a 700W PSU, so that it can handle the best graphics cards.

So, what could the problem with the recent graphics cards in this office?

After numerous tests, such as reset cmos, bios reset, outside and inside with battery and so on... Nothing solved.

Re-tested with the old graphics card and started immediately.

After intensive research on Google, the BIOS is probably still too old to the new graphics card.

Yesterday, I replaced the motherboard and the problem disappeared. Works fine now with the new card.

Will use the older motherboard in an old computer instead, it isn't a total waste to replace.

  • Use a UPS to avoid damage to Satellite A100?

Hi people, I have a problem and if someone can help out me, I'd appreaciate a lot, I have 4 years old A100 and the power adapter is faulty and inturn damaged the motherboard, now certain background information, I am working on an oil rig and my laptop is plugged into our diet that we generate ourselves, I suspect that food could be the problem , I use a surge protector, but it did not stop the damage. What can I do o prevent a reoccurance of this problem? would contribute to a UPS? and what should I expect? our power is 110V.

    Hello

I put t know what you mean with UPS but you made if you use an original Toshiba AC adapter never damage the card mother or other components. But it is also important that the power adapter is compatible with the voltage in the country where you use it.

Anyway, new spare parts, you can get to an authorized service provider. So just contact the guy and ask for help! :)

  • HP G62 Notebook PC: Completely disable the secondary graphics card

    Hello

I have a HP G62 Notebook PC that I bought a couple of years back. The problem I have is that the graphics card of (the age AMD) to the secondary address has been damaged by hardware components (probably due to multiple disconnections of power and unexpected stops). Everything else works fine. This problem is causing Windows to keep crashing through the blue screen, or not to display a picture at all after the Windows logo while booting. I managed to install Ubuntu on it and the operating system detected the damaged graphics card and worked around it (aka he turned off the power to the graphics card damaged and worked only using the Intel graphics card). My question is, is it possible to turn off the graphics card AMD to turn completely (from the BIOS maybe) so that I can re-install Windows and work on it using only the graphics card Intel?

Please help, I'll provide more information if necessary.

Please identify your laptop with its full product name or product number. You gave only a partial identification so far. I need I can take a look at the BIOS Simulator to see if it was possible there.

Never mind providing the number or name of producty. I worked around it.

I just took a look at the BIOS Simulator and found that there is no option to turn off the graphics card it. You may be able to work around it by removing the card.

You can also replace the card with a card of the same work to find the switchable graphics feature. You should be able to find one to an online vendor at a reasonable price. If you don't feel able to do it yourself, then you can have the replacement carried out by a store.

  • Card SD and the magnets?

Love my Z force BUT think he may have killed my SD card? I took my Lexar 128 gb SD card out of my pure MOTO X when I bought the BestBuy Z, it worked perfectly in the X, but the Z was in trouble immediately with it. Firstly, when I formatted the card during installation it said it was slow? Never a problem before, now it will not read the card and says that it is corrupted?

Is it possible that strong magnets damaged SD card? I formatted as storage internal and have since then tried in my X and my PC, but it is not able to read it now. Very disappointed because the card is only a few months and NEVER gave me problems before putting it in the thoughts of Z.?

You do not know if this is your problem or not, but my bike Turbo 2 needed to have a faster class sd card to work properly. Either a Class 10 card or a new UHS class card. This was especially a problem when we were upgrades Marshmallow I recall.

  • Want desolde/resolder, remove and replace the two damaged usb2 ports

I have a Sat A30 perfect by all means other than 2 USB2 ports on the back that are damaged (black plastic seperaters between connectors jumped) not quite sure why this happened because I was simply unplug the connected usb plugs on both occasions.

The connectors were not especially tight. fault is I have no insulation between copper connectors which are still found in the slots and causes a short circuit, when I plug in a usb device.

I bought a card mother relpacement (damaged) and usb2 connections are OK! Have good technician experience in carring out Soldering/desoldering and has all the tools. Problem is that I have not the slightest idea what connections under the Board of Directors are required to unsolder my damaged usb2 card in order to remove/swop and perform the necessary replacement.

I'm sure I'll be advised to contact an authorized reseller of Tosh. I tried this and they say that they will be already only the motherboard together and the cost is horrible. I would rather make the repair myself that's not rocket science.

The techies out there who could counsel with picture of the relevent pins to desoldering in order to remove and repair the fault would be greatly appreciated.

If you can help in any way or point me in the right direction to go repair.

I hope someone can help. Thank you very much

    Hello

Please don't be crazy about me, but in my opinion, is not a very good idea to open the notebook alone if you don't have a lot of experience with it. Laptops are designed on the specific way and exchange of material is not so easy as the exchange of material to work stations.

Believe me that a small error in the assembly/disassembly procedure can case damage to equipment or the façade of the same laptop parts. I know that there's not much service partner assistance because they want to do. It costs money, but you must understand that if they give that kind of advice or information they may close the shop very soon.

You can try to do it alone, but at your own risk and be careful.

  • Leave phone when inserting the SD card?

Hello - someone ' one might say pleading that you leave the phone on when you add a card micro sd, or do you turn it off?

Also, you get a signal that it is work/installed/added?

    Thank you very much!

Always make sure that your phone is turned off before you remove and install maps. If can be done all on if not mounted but is is not worth the risk to damage the card.

As to see if it's work go to Settings menu under storage. Here, you should see SD card with a total area, the space available to mount or unmount the SD card.

Also, you can now choose where to sync media must synchronize your SD card or internal memory.

  • 500 t - 205 CTO Pavilion: xD card reader does not work

I have a brand new desktop CTO 500 t - 205 of Pavilion, with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. It is running well, except for the reader of card on the front of the machine. I use a 2 GB Olympus xD card. When the card is inserted, the led lights up for about 10 seconds, then turns off. Windows Explorer does not see the card and I can't find it in the Device Manager.

    Thank you

    Hello

I think that it does NOT support xD cards, please do not put this type of cards, it will damage the card and the reader. Please see the list of supported memory cards:

  • System does not boot: failure of the video card or viruses? I do not know...

Here's the deal: on a computer running Windows XP Pro SP3. Athlon, dual-core processor (2.4 gHz); 4 GB of memory; NVidia GeForce 7300 video card; and a Western Digital SATA, I met a failure while watching a DVD (using Media Player 11) and now I can't start.

I have been having problems for a few days with my Dell flat screen monitor "energy saving" mode because it has detected no signal. After playing with this and obliging to recognize a digital signal rather than the automatic detection, all seemed well.

During the film, the picture froze, the sound became a loud, grating buzz and shut down the system.  It has restarted as usual, but then would not start the rest of the way, stopping at the Windows XP screen.  The progress bar froze and spinning to stop the drive.

However... on occasion, for example when the system remained some time, I can sometimes start in safe mode (but still, it hangs when starting "mup.sys") or he will move to the XP logon screen and freeze it.  I replaced the mouse and keyboard (whiched USB connections) used with their equivalents of PS/2, but nothing has changed.

When I try to start, I hear all the clicks Associates, snoring and whatever else as if the startup continues normally.  However, when it stops, I can't "see" it on my network.

I have a hunch that it is a damaged video card because also the failure during the film and previous issues of monitor, when I hit the map to try to reinstall, he felt much warmer that it should have, but a video card failure would prevent initialize to top?

    Any ideas?  I'm all that.

It does for me, but of course as I said in my previous notice of Disclaimer: I want to emphasize that you should not take what I wrote as a definitive diagnosis. I can't see or test your computer from here. I give you my opinion on your computer based on my experience as a computer tech and what you have written. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

I understand that.  I was looking for another opinion by giving an update.

However, it certainly seems that the jury went.  It freezes even trying to boot in the BIOS setup.  Thanks for the directions.

  • Question micro SDHC card?

My wife fills its Fuze 4 GB and I think to have him pick up a 8 GB micro SDHC for her... I just want to know how much the card sticks on the player. Dose anyone have a photo of the player with the card inside? I want to just make sure that she can use the player with the card installed on a full-time basis without fear of damaging the card or do it intercepts on everything.  George

It does not stick. Essentially, it is flush with the player. To remove the card, push in, and then it comes out. Avoid getting a class 2 card, as filling it will be slow. Class 6 is the best, but class 4 is correct. A class 2 card will take twice as long to complete as a class 4 it. A class 2 card has 3 times as long to complete as a class 6 we.

  • Transcend Jet 360 Lite SD care & "the operation cannot be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code - 50)"

Have used the SD Transcend 360 256 MB card for data storage with success during the last 6 months on my MBP to mid-2014.  Installed their wake from sleep early support software.

Above error code invite you in this context: I wake up Mac in the morning after sleep.  Transcend icon "wake up" and appear on the desktop (as it should).  I check disk utility and the card is recognized.  HOWEVER, about 1/3 of those mornings, despite appearing and functional map icon (folder open when I click on it), when I try to write/copy a file or folder to it, I get the above error code?  For about a week I missed that everything seemed normal.  My current 'fix' is to eject the card (requires a 'forced ejection"which I'm concerned could damage the card?), but the card ejects without delay.  90% of the time when I remove and reinsert the card, the operating system recognizes, all right.  (There are a dozen times when I had to reboot for it to be recognized.)

All the others did this experiment with the Transcend (I submitted a request for tech support to them with a persistent response of 'Question Mac'... (LOL).  This error has been noted several times on the Forum discussion, but in the context of external drives and with no apparent solution.  FYI, I use the Transcend (in addition to external systems) b/c it works essentially like a hard drive internal and I use it mainly for Google Drive perfectly... except for the above inconveniences.  Thanks in advance!

  • Question USB and SD micro AT10-A-104

    Hello.

My daughter has recently dropped our Tablet and we needed to have the fixed micro-USB port.

The other day I noticed that once more it seems to be a problem: the device is not a cable when it is plugged in to charge and it does not appear on the PC when it is attached. In addition, it wouldn't connect to an external USB.

Oddly enough, the machine MAKES when it is plugged left. But the charger is not recognized. "And there is no history of load under the battery).

Earlier I also realized the card SD does not register. Honestly, I can't remember if we have never successfully used the SD card!
I wonder if there is some mysterious setting I'm missing? I changed the USB connection mode, but it makes no difference. There is no option to Mount/unmount SD in storage.

Maybe I should factory reset and see what happens before we go into the repair shop?

I suspect that there could be a physical problem. The USB port and SD card port are fairly close together, there are so may damage the card?

Bright ideas? After paying for a repair, it is not cost-effective to do it again. Repair is under warranty, but if they find that it is a new problem, I'm obviously not covered...

    Hello

I have a similar problem, but my AT10-A Tablet does not fall... in fact I have not test the SD port, but for sure the micro-USB port is having a problem: it does not recognize the Chargers and USB connections with my laptop. To the point where it says 5% battery. I'll try to keep it connected to the charger, even if the Tablet does not seem to see it.

How can I test if the battery is really in charge?

Have you received support from Toshiba?

    Thanks and best,
    Luca
