DV6-1350us M/B replaced, recovery media not supported

I am owner of a small reapir company computer in Colorado, and I was pounding on a dv6-1350us. The something EU droped and the motherboard was toast. Got the exact same part number motherboard installed and works very well. Also, the hard drive is toast I which replaces.

Boots, Ubuntu system works very well on the DVD player. The EU is a set of recovery discs, but when I try to run it, he said that the media won't work for this machine.

What is a tattoo related question? I have done work for HP in the past and have the tattoo utility disk but have no idea where to find this LONG string of numbers/letters necessary to make this work.

I appreciate any idea that anyone can provide.

Ken

Fixed my own problem, using utilities HP DMI TATTOO I reprogrammed the EEPROM with the correct series and the product works # and now the recovery.

If you have any questions "alter database recover managed standby database finish;", it reports oracle recovery is complete for database pending and you'll be performing a failover operation.

If you have started this command accidentally, then I can say that it is your bad luck... You have to rebuild only the database of relief and no go.

  • Image recovery drive not supported by this model?

    Hey guys,.

I still have the laptop HP G62-B18SA and its "Wireless is fine under Linux now, currently got Ubuntu in Wubi installation." I'm about to get Linux fully but only as a precaution when I got the laptop I did the backup to Disk Image of the system (4 discs DVD altogether), I tested the disc 1 today and he said that the recovery disk image was not compatible with my model? Now, excuse me if I'm wrong, but I thought that the disk image is a literal copy of windows, and all drivers that have been installed, etc., how is not compatible?

    Any help appreciated.

Your recovery set should work regardless of the version of the BIOS. Do not touch the BIOS updates (are supposed to) that you have confirmed the info in the BIOS that the restoration of controls, is there. Unless the info is wrong.

While you are still under warranty, I would get this problem fixed. HP will probably send the free value recovery because yours does not (they will not send a Windows disc). If the game fails, it will require repairs, which will be expensive outside of the warranty.

  • Without provided Windows® operating system recovery media?

Reading the full specifications for Inspiron One 23 in my basket, I fell on this...

"Recovery - operating system options Operating system Windows® Recovery Media not included"

Shoild need arises, how to re - install the OS 8 Win.

    Thank you.

Unfortunately Dell do not ship DVD to reinstall Windows with the systems more.

I recommend you contact Technical Support as soon as the system arrives and asks a reinstallation DVD.

If you reside in the United States or to the CA, you can fill out this form to request for media:

    www.Dell.com/recoverymedia

Unfortunately Dell doesn't have a courteous of the customer form in all other regions.

Note Technical Support Dell may tell you to use Dell backup and recovery to make the installation media, but from my experience, this is not a reliable solution like a DVD of actual relocation.

  • DV6-6c15nr, "the system recovery media does not support this computer."

Hi all. I'm trying to reformat my laptop (dv6-6c15nr), but when I try to reformat to f11the recovery manager f, all options are such that the system restore and restore to factory is grayed out. The next thing I tried was a set of recovery disks. When I used the recovery disks, it showed the message "this computer does not support the system recovery media. You are not able to restore the system with the media. 0110 A601UA #ABA - A1U60AV. Why can I not reformat my laptop... I remember that I was able to reformat until I sent offshore to get the hard drive and the radiator replaced by hp year last April. Now I can't get to... that this has to do with anything? someone please help...

I also tried without the bios downgrade F.19 REV: a. which do not help either.

    It seems that the motherboard may have been changed and the information system (tattoo) has not been updated to match that of your computer. While I can't fix this for you, I can suggest some possible solutions and I work to spare;

    (1) you can contact HP Customer Support and ask that they correct the problem.

    (2) attempt to control that recovery discs for the model of the motherboard is currently labeled as.

    (3) If you can still read the Windows product key of 25 characters on the Microsoft COA affixed on the computer, you can install Windows 7 using this key. Please see "how to install Windows 7 without the disc" to get instructions on how to download Windows 7 SP1, create the installation media and install Windows 7 SP1 using the 25-digit key from the COA Microsoft on your computer.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • Formatting of bone, not detected in the model dv6 recovery media

Hi, I use lap dv6-3052tx model. I tried to format my only c drive and install a fresh copy of the operating system. but after restart I pressed the key "esc" and after that, I pressed "f11". but the screen goes straight to the login screen instead of going to the screen.i format tried to use start-> Recovery Manager after looging in, but it shows the message "recovery partition not found. but I have a disk partition. The last time I formatted using recovery media only and I made a change I moved partition drive inside another partition. Is that the reason why his watch is not partiton found unside the Recovery Manager. Give me some suggestions please.

    Thank you

    -Raj.

    Hello

If you have moved a partition that was on the hard drive, this is the reason why you no longer have the option to access the recovery with the F11 key Manager after powering.

If you want to return to this capability, then you will need to use the set of recovery disks or USB recovery you media created during the installation of your laptop to access the Recovery Manager.  This time, choose factory Image recovery. Commit to recovery and let it run until the end. The completeion of the recovery, check device manager to make sure that all devices have drivers loaded.

When you are done with the recovery, do not change the configuration of the partitions unless you don't mind not being able to access the Recovery Manager after turning on your laptop again.

  • Pavilion dv6 - 1350us: dv6 1350us 240 GB SSD not recognized by BIOS ver F.41

    Hi all

I want to replace the stock 340 GB hard drive SATA with a 240GB SSD but the BIOS does not detect the SSD drive. Here are the specs:

HP Pavilion Entertainment Notebook - dv6-1350us (Intel - Core 2 Duo)

    BIOS - Hewlett-Packard F.41, 12/11/2009

    SSD - Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 240GB Model # MKNSSDCR240GB-DX

This laptop is currently in operation with no problems. It has been upgraded to Windows Pro 10 and all the latest updates installed - it's just very slooowly. The SSD, I try to use is checked 100% working. It detects and is accessible by other computers and works very well in a USB/SATA attached to this laptop docking bay. The SSD has been deleted, including the protected EFI & system partitions - IOW, it's completely empty - without walls.

I am capable of (old) drive image hard work and save it on an external USB drive. The image size is 110 GB and includes data, system and recovery partitions, so it fits on the SSD. When I install the SSD in the laptop there is no option to boot from it so I guess that it is not properly detected in the BIOS. Nevertheless, with the SSD installed, I can boot from a Windows 10 'repair DVD' and get to the point where he's ready to recreate the image. However, since the SSD is not detected in the BIOS, it just gives me an error and dumps me.

I want to update the BIOS to see if it helps but I can't launch the HP flash/upgrade BIOS updated SoftPaq (sp54629.exe) on Windows 10. I get a UAC error that says: this app has been blocked for your protection. An administrator has blocked the delivery of this application...... sp54629.exe... Publisher: Not approved

My question: if I restore the old o/s Win7 (original) of the partition recovery and then run the update of the BIOS SoftPaq under Win7, it will allow the BIOS to see the SSD? I don't want to waste hours until I can be fairly certain that the problem will be solved by upgrading the BIOS.

    Thank you in advance!

Update: still no solution to this problem of HP. 5 hours wasted. Had to install temproarily old hard drive from the laptop in order to reinstall Win7, as well as all the crapware HP forces on us all, the recovery of the DVD because Firmware HP update software does not work with Win10 - THANKS HP! Anyway, it did not help the problem at all. In addition, I tried a SSD of SATA-III (Samsung) different with the same results. HP has to pay a bunch of 12 years to write BIOS of their laptops. Well, time to throw this laptop HP in the landfill. HP - never.
