Help with recovery media creation errors

I bought a new HP spectrum XT Ultrabook 13D-2100 (8-64 bit Windows), and I tried to create the recovery media creation.  I get an error when you try to use USB (Flash Driver) that declares "we live errors in the creation of recovery media. Please try again. "Even if I did a video on saving a media creation of recovery on a USB flash drive, it was a mistake. I've done five times, I n ' know what to do now.

I'd appreciate any help for this problem that I really want to create the recovery media creation.

Hello

I would contact HP (the telephone number can be found on the corresponding link below) and explain that the Recovery Media Creator is unable to create a viable together records of recovery/usb media and ask them to send you a free replacement recovery media set.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

Kind regards

  • HP Recovery Manager & Recovery Media creation unavailable in SEARCH CHARM!

I have HP Pavilion n209TX-15 Notebook PC with Windows 8.1 update 1.
My system is up to date with all the upgrades of HP & Windows updates. I already have recovery in DVD image recently after the purchase.
But now, I have noted that HP Recovery Manager or create recovery media software applications could be seen on the search in the charm of research even with the drop-down list "everywhere".
I noticed this when I had to reinstall after uninstalling HP Support Assistant yesterday.
No idea where it went all of a sudden. Help, please. Thanks in advance.

    Hi visruth,

Sorry for the delay in replying, enjoyed the weekend. I hope you had a good too.

I have read your answers and from the other thread that you linked to. I also checked on a lab for Windows 8.1 here to see what it was you were looking for you. I understand that now.

To clarify for you, you don't have a virus. What is happening is all just link to when you need to remove and reinstall the HP Support Assistant software. The HP Recovery Manager tool, belongs to who. What seems to be produced is the removal/relocation has cause the link you used to find during a search to be broken. The fact that it works when access you it via the Help Assistant, supports that theory.

What I suggested to you in my first post should / could fix that. That he essentially fixes files. I will only include the document again like a Microsoft one for you. In order to clarify you hesitate to do the system update. You won't lose any of your files up-to-date ect. and that your computer came with Windows 8.1 not restore it. This only happens if you had improved (I had it said). So you have no problem with the update running.

    Here are the two documents:
How to refresh, reset or restore your PC
Refresh your PC to solve problems (Windows 8)

I also want to let you know that by removing all the Cyberlink software, you have lost your webcam in laptop. However, when you perform the update, this should be fixed as well.  Please try this and let me know how make you out with her.

    Thanks for your replies.

TOSHIBA RECOVERY MEDIA DISK to adapt the system to factory State. The recovery media copied the files and in the end gave me this error. * 10-FC12-0241 * and ask me to click OK to exit. After I clicked on OK, the system rebooted and gave me the following error message * F3-F200-0002. *.
When checked with the technical support, I was told it could be the hard drive problem. So I bought a new hard drive,

  • M1V66UA: problem with recovery media disk drive

my laptop is HP envy x 360 bought around December 2015(it is still guaranteed).

Today, I had a problem with my laptop (inaccessible boot device error) and a HPteam even could not able to solve it and told me that the recovery order media disk.

    the problem is:

I bought the laptop in the United States when I was a customer place and now I am in India .

HP India has informed me that they will not consider my request for recovery media order disk since I bought the laptop outside the India and told me to contact them.

    My question is

How can I order the disc of recovery in India?

    Hello

First of all, you can download microsoft iso and burn it to DVD or USB without needing a key, so do a good job of it for future use.

If you have a real Windows 10 installation the system map is saved as your key with microsoft, so you do not need a new.

Once you have fixed starting problems, MAKE YOUR OWN RECOVERY MEDIA IMMEDIATELY.

Jelly Beanstalk will find your product key for future use, but it is locked to the system board.

Piriform Speccy and Belarc Advisor will also add your serial number for a knowledge need.

    If in doubt please ask.

  • HP Touchsmart 15-r017dx: recovery media creation will not accept DVD

I had trouble creating recovery discs and tried to make them for a week now and he's really starting to happen to me. My laptop requires 5 discs DVD and I started using DVD + R (Memorex) discs and was able to create 3 of the 5 disks required. Then I had to go to the store for a bit more, but apparently I got DVD + R DL discs, concerned that it was a problem that I checked the compatibility and these discs should work fine with the design of recovery media program. However, whenever I insert a DVD my laptop just gushes it back asking for me to insert another disc. I don't think it's a problem with the brand since I was able to do 3 discs already using the same brand. I even went in Mode safe mode to see if maybe it would help, but it didn't. I searched everywhere for a solution and can not find someone with the same problem as me. I am at my wits end with this process so please any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I have a HP Touchsart 15 - r017dx running Windows 10 (64-bit).

You started with dvd single layer and that's how the image is already created. You must continue with a single layer.

BTW-Memorex is not a good choice of discs. I always recommend them to avoid if possible.

  • Wild ride with recovery media

The hard drive on my E430 was corrupted and my warranty just expired so I bought a new. I called Lenovo Tech Support and asked them for DVD reinstall the operating system. I was told I need a recovery media and gave me a reference number before sending me more for the IBM parts department to order this part, I did. So I get my 5 DVD and start the process. Looks like it's going well, he told me to share this DVD for the next and so on, until it gets to the end and then said only: "failed to retrieve. Tried three times, same result.

So I call Tech Support and they tell me the DVD must be faulty, and I should remind IBM parts and request a new one. I remember the parts and they tell me - get this - that Support gave me the wrong information and that these DVD never wanted reinstall an operating system on a blank hard drive. So they sent me new DVD and not refund not my money. So I call Tech Support and they are insistent that it is the right part and that the parties is incorrect and they send this exact game DVDs when they replace blank hard drives.

So I convince the Tech Guy to allow me to the Conference in IBM parts. Now they are on the phone with the other contending for whether or not it comes to the right side. It would be hysterical if I didn't spend untold hours on it. Finally the guy at parts IBM agrees to replace DVD - if I send back them and they fail their tests. So, I'm basically screwed.

    So... who's right?

(A P.s. that may or not be relevant; when I ran the recovery process, there is a window showing files that have been copied.) Quite often I saw him show 'File not found' instead of copying something. He didn't give me an error or stop the process and he continued to make me go through the process of change on the DVD, but I was wondering if it was normal).

    Thanks for your thoughts!

Pdf E430 parts list contains the numbers of RUF from the recovery media.  Maybe you can use it as a validation test when you contact support and parts.  Sorry to hear that you get the evasive.

    Hello

Don t think that your ODD drive is defective.
Fact is that there is always a problem of compatibility between the discs and the ODD.
As far as I know manual usage provides some info on well tested and compatible CD and DVD.

Recommend using a disc that were the compatibility has been tested.
In addition, I recommend standard R TDK. My experience has been good in using these discs

    Hello

    1. don't you make recent changes?

    2. This does happen with any special updates or all updates?

I suggest you to follow these steps and check if that helps:

    Method 1:

If you have installed a security software on the computer, then I suggest you try to disable temporary and check to see if the same problem happens. Make sure that you enable security software back once the diagnosis is made to prevent the computer from virus attacks.

  • S HP Probook 4330 recovery media creation

    Hi all

Just got my new Probook which I am very happy with, but there is no option to create a recovery media. Pressing F11 at startup to high gives only the option to restore, not to create discs. There is no recovery Manager software installed on the operating system. If in its current state, if the hard drive dies, I would not be able to recover.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Ben

    Hello

If there is no HP Recovery Manager installed, then no, you don't have this option. Neither program is available for download.

I had the same thing on my HP Elitebook 6930p.

Recovery partition could be used to restore the operating system to the factory by using the F11 key settings, however, I had no option to create a recovery media. And no recovery disk provided with the laptop.

Having much experience with HP business PC, I knew that I could order a set of disks on their part.

Normally, I buy my PC used and off-lease, so I had to pay $10 for the recovery disks, because the machines were out of warranty.

I bought the new 6930p and HP sent me the discs for free.  Maybe they will do the same for you too.

  • HP ENVY Desktop - 750-167c: HP recovery media creation

I recently bought a HP Envy desktop computer and I tried to create a recovery media and I get a message saying that the partition does not exist. The machine is Factory reconditioned.

What are my options to move forward. I'm guessing that the mahcine should have this partition when it was "reconditioned."

    Thank you.

I suggest you call HP support that could take a command remotely on your computer to see what goes wrong, and then if necessary, they might send you a series of recovery Image factory (depending on the situation).

  • 15 t-n200: replacement hard drive dead: what should I buy HP replacement, or everything will work with recovery media?

    I have a HP Pavilion 15 t-n200 laptop computer running Windows 7, 64-bit.

The computer got extremely slow and work stoppage. HP diagnostic indicates a failed hard drive, and my warranty has expired. I DO NOT have the recovery media.

My question is this: if I buy the recovery media for my HP computer, should I also buy HP hard drive for it to install correctly? Or can I just simply buy a HDD from a local retailer and use HP recovery support (and the certificate of Authenticity on the back of Microsoft) to reinstall WIndows 7?

Some people suggest that it will work very well, while other members of the forum here have talked about issues and something of tattoos on the hard drive or the Council.

Thanks in advance to anyone who responds!

    Hello

No, you don't need to buy the HP's HARD drive, you can buy anywhere, but please use the same band (normally from Toshiba, but please check the label) for the compatibility and capacity or more.

    Kind regards.
