DVD jerking / stutters serious once on a disc

Hello

I am using first Elements 7 - my computer is a core 2 duo - 3 GHz with 2 GB of RAM

What I did:

I created a video - long 90 minutes, it was filmed with a Panasonic HD camera, I used PAL Full HD 1080i preset.

First, I exported the movie edited (to create a master file) using MPEG as a broad PAL DVD and H.264 1920x1080i 25 screen as I need to DVD and Blu - ray copies.

Then, I opened the 'master' exported file and added to the menu.

I burned while there directly DVD and hard drive (then copied on DVD)

The problem:

When he plays on a DVD player and TV + shaking/jerking with fast moving image computer.

What I tried:

1. different burners: LG Blu - ray burner and DVD Samsung writer

2. different types of DVD discs

3 first burned the file on the hard disk, and then copied to a disc at 4 x speed. (it helped a little)

4 tried different burning software - Nero, Power2Go and with Premiere Elements

5. I tried to create (burn) DVD to MPEG and m2t as the "master" file

6 burn the disc with and without menu

Where I think the problem is:

When I go to the 'master' file it plays perfectly, the MPEG file in particular, the m2t has a very slight shake.

Once I created the disk on the hard disk or physical disk, that is where the problem starts.

It would seam that the problem that happens when I burn the disc and it is not the burner or the records of the origin of the problem because the results are the same if I burn to hard drive or disk.

Counsel on how to solve this problem would be appreciated I must deliver 100 copies of the concert at 6 p.m..

I don't know what else to try!

Thank you

Michael

Michael, as I said in my first post, the problem is not that you are your video subsampling. The problem is that your workflow consists of exporting your project to formats that are causing problems of deinterlacing.

MPEG, for example, that you're out of your project can analyze and play very well. But if bring you it in a DV project and it is interlaced with the upper field first, when you create your DVD of him you will get a double interlacing conflict, which means a nervous and unstable reading.

Follow the workflow that I recommended in my first post and make sure that your project settings match your entry and you'll be fine.

You don't want to output an MPEG from your project AVCHD and MPEG, then put in a Premiere Elements project. Use rather a DV - AVI.

    Hi frapachino21,

-The problem occurs with all CD/DVD you burn using Windows DVD Maker?

-After playback of the disc on the Blu - ray drive, the drive is not detected on your desktop/computer laptop with no problems?

To use certain kinds of CD or DVD discs outside of your computer, you must close the session, which is a process that prepares the disc to be read by other computers and players.

You can try to close or finalize the CD/DVD and check if it makes a difference.

  • HDX 18 laptop: DVD drive plays but not Blu - ray discs. No idea why?

Drive seems to work fine and it plays DVDs, but when I insert a Blu - Ray disc, Media Smart software opens and after a few seconds, a boc opens and asks me "do you want to check for updates?"  with a Yes and no button.  No button produced no results and the Blu - Ray does not play.  Any thoughts?

    Hello

If you use HP MediaSmart DVD to read Blu - ray disc, try the following.

HP now provides a version of PowerDVD 10 Cyberlinks which seems to be a better solution.  Download the installer for it on the link below and save it to your desktop.

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp53001-53500/sp53029.exe

When the download is complete, open windows panneau Panel configuration, open programs and features, right click the entry for HP MediaSmart DVD and select uninstall - once this process is complete, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, double-click the installer for PowerDVD 10 start the installation.  Once this done, see if your Blu - ray disc now plays OK.

In Control Panel, the drive is listed, but with a yellow triangle and a message indicating that the device cannot be used... driver problem?

Is there a way to locate the driver for an older machine, install it, without making a complete recovery (as the cd player does not work?)? I noticed that the driver Announces began with the Satellite A - 200.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated!

Boarder's right. If the drive is listed in the device with the yellow exclamation point manager and the drive is not listed in Windows Explorer, you can resolve following the method described in the document of Microsoft.

    Hello

19 code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same resources.

Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves
    the question.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Normally the above will solve this problem otherwise working your way down through them, even if you did
    them before.

  • Portege M700 - DVD drive fails during the recording of discs

    Hello

I tried the Disc Creator that came pre-installed and also Nero 9.2.6.0. All this on Vista 32 bit.

The latter seems to have no idea about the problem, as it says smething like unknown failure.

The creator of disc mentions error code 380381-26-BF040304.

The problem occurs only at the beginning, I tried with three discs, so I don't think that the disks are the problem. In any case, they are DVD + R DL Verbatim and support up to 8 x, while the recorder goes only up to 4 x for the double layer, so I think I'm ok.

My suspicion is that maybe the firmware in the DVD version needs update... He mentions Hw 1.00, 1.10 Fw. Other manufacturers of laptop as offer updated firmware DVD for her, but I couldn't find one of TOSHIBA.

    Any ideas?

    See you soon

    Hello

There are several disks for Portege M700, they are compatible. Usually in the user manual, you can find a list of supported CD/DVD players they are pre-tested by Toshiba and work correctly.

If you have any other questions about a new drive, ask the service provider authorized in your country. They can offer you a compatible player.

  • Re: Satellite A210-12U: Mat * a DVD - RAM UJ-8505 will not read discs - error Code 39

    Hello.

I've had my A210-12U for about five months now, and recently for the past few months I had some problems with the dvd player.

The thing is that the player will not play all discs, the drive will detect that a disc has been inserted, but it will not read. It happened for about a month but its only recently I really know whats been wrong with it.

The drive I currently use is a CARPET * A DVD - RAM UJ-8505 ATA

I scanned the disk for problems with the support toshiba but utility that came with something so I decided to check the drivers.

Windows Vista gave this Message: Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

I uninstalled the drivers and drivers on there and installed new ones that I downloaded here on the toshiba site.

What I really want to know is: is this a problem with the drivers? is it a case that the operating system does not detect the hardware? or is this a situation where I should have the disk fixed on its guarantee?

    was soon Dan

    Hi all

I need help. My laptop cd/dvd driver does not recognize the discs inside. It only happens when I try to burn a disc. She can read but not burn the discs. What could be the solution? I tried different brands, the last time it was Maxell. The manual suggests Mitsubishi discs, but I'm not sure that it only works with the Mitsubishi discs. It can read any kind of disc.

    Hello

In the manual, you will find a list of media recommended because this media has been tested and were working properly.
However, I use TDK CDs and DVDs and it works as well.
Juan suggested in another ad that sometimes 3rd applications or DVD copy locks are responsible for some driver problems:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=12497

What I mean is that it is not easy to give a generally the solution of these problems.
You should try different media, burning software and if it doesn t work so it s is a malfunction of the equipment. In this case, you will need to replace the drive.
