DVD player not working not not since upgrading to Windows 10?

Improved to win 10 of Win 7 and now cannot get my DVD player to work. Checked info from Device Manager which advises (Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration in the registry information is incomplete or damaged (code 19).) I tried to remove and reinstall the DVD player, but the error message still appears. Any ideas of how to solve my problem?
My last resort would be to roll back to Windows 7 if I can't figure it out. : confused:

I have the same problem with my SATELLITE A500 - 19(d) is code19 drivers must not be installed correctly.

    Hello.
    Am running windows 7 on a laptop computer Lenovo IdeaPad U350, but experiencing problems with the network adapter. Wireless connection works, but I can not connect via the direct cable connection. All of the updates were made and in device, the network card Manager (Broadcom 802.11 g network adapter) seems to work fine, BUT still I can't connect. I downloaded the driver from the manuvacturer (Lenovo) and installed. He still does not!

    Any ideas how to solve this problem? I am currently connected to the internet via a wireless connection, but need a wired connection.

    PLEASE HELP :)

    Here's a solution - eventually had to resort to using the Ethernet coz I had to transfer massive amounts of data and using the WiFi was just a bad idea.

    Agree with the above the drivers Lenovo doesn't have just a whole bunch of stuff (unzip, etc, etc) and curiously does not seem to go through the process to INSTALL anything... disappointment.

    For those of you who know how to get to the old plant 'Disc' (Yes, they still exist in Win7), you can get your hands on the drivers here http://www.broadcom.com/support/ethernet_nic/netlink_k57.php--est comes with the good old INF files to tell the system what and where to install

    Go to disc (fuck..... another Google process [Bing since I'm on a MS Web site] the answer)...

    0 have the Admin rights
    1. open your browser.
    2. right click on computer / my computer > properties > Device Manager
    3. I hope that the offending devices (Ethernet in this case) shows prominently in the other category
    4 click on it > properties
    5 looking around for the the driver update button
    6 browse my computer for training software
    7. just choose from devices... (blah blah)
    8 have Disk (tada!)
    9. then point just where you have unpacked the driver with the permission of Broadcomm files.

    Hope that helps.

  • printer Dell A940 does not print not since upgraded to windows 7

    Updated from XP to windows 7 spending years trying to get my Dell A940 print victory says no driver installed. Had the driver, but will not print continues to go to print

    Hi Frank,.

    Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    Not based on printer model information you provided, there is no driver available for Windows 7. Most programs written for Windows Vista also work in this version of Windows, but some older programs might run poorly or not at all. If a program written for an earlier version of Windows does not work, you can try changing the compatibility of the program settings, either manually or by using the program compatibility problems. I suggest you to uninstall the printer drivers and to consult the suggestions in the link below:

    Download Windows Vista drivers and install in compatibility mode

    Hello. I have the HP pavilion 15-e020TU laptop. My DVD player has worked with windows 7 and windows 8. After the upgrade to windows 8.1, the DVD player does not work. The Windows Device Manager find the DVD player, but represents a brand yellow error. I chose "update driver software" and then "automatically search for updates of driver software". I have a Tablet PC originally shipped with Vista installed. I've upgraded to Windows 7 disk 3 license and have since upgraded to Windows 8 with promo code I got when purchasing a new office.

    Can I reuse the license to move an other PC from Vista to Windows 7, since the upgrade to Windows 8 would have been valid for a Vista upgrade?

    Yes, you can transfer the license of Windows 7 on another computer. Why, because the basic license is Windows Vista.

  • Pavilion dv6-6c53cl: dvd player not working not not after restoring - all missing drivers, does not appear in Device Manager

    Recently, I have restored my computer dvd6-6c63cl of flag State 'out of the box.  The dvd drive no longer works.  When you put a CD, you can hear him swirling but the screen does not open.  In addition, in the Device Manager section, dvd is not listed.  I think that I need the drivers, but I did have luck to find them on hp.com (just a recovery disc, you can order).

    I tried some of the solutions on this forum for other computers, but is it didn't work (FixIt) or things in the registry (filters) were not there and one was something that was 32-bit and since it's 64-bit, I was afraid to try it.  Clearly, I don't know enough about computers.

    In which case it is important, I recently had my fan replaced and do not know if the dvd player worked after that.  Obviously not used often.

    You can provide any help would be greatly appreciated.  The computer is 3 years old so I don't want to add 'guaranteed' type plans, but at the same time, I don't want to replace the computer for something so little.  The restoration of fixed the problems I had (internets public wouldn't connect and updates did not exist).  Thank you!

    You may consider replacing the internal DVD player or using an external DVD burner.

  • DVD player not recognized after the upgrade to windows 8

    I write this to document some odd behavior, that I lived after the upgrade to Windows 8 in the hope that it might save some grief for others.  Of course, if someone could explain why this problem occurs, I'd be very interested/grateful for an answer.

    I recently updated my computer from Vista Ultimate to Windows 8.  I did a clean install of Windows 8, because there is nothing special about the machine I wanted to preserve.  In all cases, the upgrade went without a hitch and I was soon back up with Windows 8 as my OS (I really like, btw).

    The only oddity I noticed after the upgrade is that my DVD drive was not recognized by the operating system.  Remember, this is the same DVD player that was used to install the OS, so I found it rather peculiar.  After a bit of lost time, try software solutions theoretical I started to play with the equipment.

    My motherboard is an ASUS M3A78-EM.  My hard drive is attached to the SATA1 port and my DVD player is plugged into the SATA2 port.  I removed the DVD drive from SATA2, plugged into SATA3, restart Windows 8 (from HDD on SATA1) and Windows 8 now recognizes the drive!

    I thought it was really weird, so I stop, put the DVD on SATA2 drive, rebooted, and the drive was no longer available in Windows 8.

    OK, so I thought that maybe the SATA2 channel was bad (even if he had worked at the Windows 8 DVD installation, just an hour or two before), so I put my HDD on SATA2 and the DVD drive on SATA1.  After doing this, Windows 8 start very well (so there is nothing wrong with SATA2), and it recognizes the DVD on the SATA1 drive.

    OK, so I did that for a while, and virtually all combinations I tried worked as long as the DVD player is not plugged in SATA2.

    I cannot live with that, but thought it was really strange.  Also, I note that the old operating system (Vista) was acknowledging the same DVD player while it was plugged on SATA2.  This leads me to believe that the problem has something to do with Windows 8, but I can't imagine what could be the cause.

    Thanks dude.  After you create this registry key/value and restart Windows 8 was able to finally see my DVD drive on SATA2.  =)

  • DVD player not working not not on Satellite Pro U400-142

    My DVD player does not work. I insert a disc, you can hear the drive works for some time, but then nothing happens. I checked the Device Manager' - under readers of CD-ROM/DVD-ROM it shows: MAST * A DVD-RAM UJ862AS, but there is a black exclamation point in a yellow circle next to it. I opened the dialog box 'Properties' and under the status of the device, he wrote:

    "Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware, but does not the hardware device. (Code 41)

    I would try try to resolve the problem by reinstalling the driver. I checked Toshiba site for the driver, but can't find it.

    I would be very grateful if someone could give me some ideas on how to sove this problem.

    Thank you

    What you can do is follow:
    Remove the optical drive from Device Manager drive, restart your laptop.

  • DVD player not working not not Satellite Pro A100 - Code 37 error

    Hello

    Someone help on this?

    I have an A-100 and the DVD player has stopped working in XP. I checked the Device Manager and see XP disc but returns this error "Windows cannot initialize the device of this hardware driver. (Code 37) »

    I also noticed that ASAPI.sys is not running in the Task Manager.

    I'm guessing this has something to do with the problem.

    I tried to reinstall the device drivers, but this made no difference. Any suggestions?

    Hello

    Error code 37 means the driver returned failure from its DriverEntry routine.
    You can try to delete the driver from Device Manager and rebooted the new OS should recognize the drive device and initialize the driver again.

    If this is not enough, try this procedure:
    Run REGEDIT and open the following folders:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    -> SYSTEM
    -> CurrentControlSet
    -> Control
    -> Class
    {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

    After you click {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} you should see two settings on the right side:
    "Upperfilters".
    'Lowerfilters '.

    Click on each of them, press DELETE, and then click YES.

    Then restart the laptop and see if it was useful.

  • DVD player not working not not on Sat 1800-614

    Hello

    I bought a Satellite 1800 614 3 years ago, provided with a DVD player. At this time there is no problem to read the DVD. I did not use it for a while and when I tried to use it I discovered that it does not read new DVD, I can see the movie but the two images and audios are dispersed and disrupted last year. It only works with the old DVD (2001-2002) and DVX and so on...

    I was told that it is because they changed the format of DVD or something like that. Can you help me to fix it? Is it possible to update the BIOS any help? Maybe the firmware? You know the one that I need and where I can find it? I tried to update the drivers for DVD but it seems that he does not accept the change. Do you know how to update the drivers too?

    THANKS TO ANYONE WHO CAN HELP! I HAD THIS DVD PLAYER AND I NEVER GOT TO USE IT!

  • DVD player not working error registry (Code19)

    My DVD drive has stopped working. Device Manager displays an error - "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information for configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged (Code 19). I tried to use the search for Solutions, but he found nothing. I tried to turn off the drive (in Device Manager) and restart - the same error. I have attached an external DVD drive - both drives had the error. I ran Registry Mechanic who reports that there are no problems with the registry! Nortons diagnosis reports the 'Fail' error using the VxD (Code 19) charger. I found a few useful solutions on the internet (which related to XP but I am on VISTA) who suggested to remove some values in the registry (using REGEDIT) and then restart. I tried - but same running REGEDIT as an administrator, it wouldn't let me delete the entries. A friend suggested using the Windows disk - but I did not - the machine came with the OEM software and no disc. I have created a recovery disk, but I don't know if this can work as a Windows disc. I certainly don't want to do a full restore, if I can avoid it - last time that is is past that it took "Recover My Files" about a week to fully scan my drive and recover what she could. Someone at - it ideas? Thank you

    Hello

    19 code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same resources.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
    Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
    This will refresh the default driver stack.

    Normally the above will solve this problem otherwise working your way down through them, even if you did
