my dvd player reads all movies what do I do to get it working.

I had this happen to my DVD player recently.  The problem was that the disc I was trying to see it used a copy protection system is not yet implemented by my DVD player.  Normally, I don't have the DVD player connected to the network, so he had not received the updates of the firmware since I bought the player.  After that I connected it, you download an update of the firmware and I could see the movie.

My recommendation to you is to see if the manufacturer of the DVD drive has an update of the firmware of your player on the website of the company and, if so, has it, then test again.

I found that DVD Toshiba BD player will play only DVD if the windows theme is one of the aero themes.

Personally I do not use aero.

Does anyone know how to get around this problem?

I can play the DVD using other software.
The main attraction of using the Toshiba Software is it is the function of upconversion.

    Thank you.

    Hello hicham.

This means that you use the DVD from Toshiba drive, but you can t without Aero theme Blu - ray game discs?

In this case, I would recommend the DVD Player update. Just check for an update from Toshiba Web site:

Have you tested other players? Toshiba DVD player in my opinion is not important. I use VLC media player because he can play audio and video files more! :)

  • DVD says DVD player is blank, but it is not

    Hi all

I am trying to install a program on a DVD. To do this, I need to launch the DVD at the start. It is has not been recognized during startup (i.e. it has not been said "Press any key to boot from the disc." or whatever it says) so I started the computer normally and inserted and it recognizes it as a blank DVD when I know for a fact the installation iso file is there. It works completely fine on other computers I've tried and other DVD works perfectly well, but that there is no reason any. I did a little research on the matter and have not found much to help my problem. I uninstalled Alcohol 120% (which is a virtual drive software) as it was suggested on a Web site I found but that has not worked. Manage devices said it works fine as well and it does not work in SafeMode either. I have no idea what it is and I can't find much help on the internet so any suggestions are appreciated. If you need more details let me know and I will respond immediately.

    Thank you!

EDIT: I tried to uninstall the device and re - install, delete the registry UpperFilter in the Windows registry and tried to use the Windows Fix It program. All had no chance. :(

  • Satellite P20: Device DVD Player reads only the DVD but cannot burn CD & DVD

    Hello

I have a toshiba P20, and I'm having a lot of problems with it. One of them is my DVD UJ811. I don't really know what is happening, the drive was already replaced and a few weeks later, it was exactly like the front, and the service provider made me pay almost 70EUR for a budget of 400EUR rejected.

I would like to know what really should do, I can't read the CD and I can not burn CD/DVDs, I can just read DVDs, nothing else.

I have seen some forums on the net, too many people in the world has the same problem I have and I really need to know what is the best solution for me.
    Thank you

    Hello Rafael

I'm very surprised by your post it here because I've used Satellite P20-303 (a red) about two years. Laptop is now used by my brother and it works perfectly. I don't really know what problems you have, but I never noticed anything suspicious. Up to now I removed the cooling Grill on the bottom twice to clean the unit, and that's all. After that laptop computer cleanup runs a lot more quiet then before.

Back to ad: I have to be honest and say that I traded with TEAC DV - W22E DVD - rom. original drive was DVD - RW and TEAC DV-W22E DVD-RAM. My brother use it pretty extensively, but until now there is no problem at all.

I don't really know what the service is doing, but if possible replace the drive TEAC one. I can tell you with certainty, it works very well. Moreover, according to the description of your problem, I am sure that the drive is faulty.
You can replace one. It's very simple to do.

    Please help me.

    Hello

Sorry, but I don't understand what you mean with adaptation? If you want to burn files to DVD media, it stops after about 3%. Am I wrong?

Try to remove the drive from Device Manager, and then restart the device. After that the drive will be recognized and installed correctly. You can also try reinstalling the burning software.

  • DVD Player reads no CD and DVD

I have a laptop Dell Inspiron with Vista 64 bit, which is a year old and a few days ago that the DVD drive stopped reading discs. When I insert a disc and try to open it I get a pop up window that says "insert a disc. Please insert a disc into drive f"and then there's a link to"help me choose a disc ". That is the way I use to access the computer disk (Windows Media player, iTunes), I get the same window.

In the order I did the following: I restarted the computer. I tried to read several different CDs/DVDs that I know have worked before. I ran the anti-virus software, which has identified a virus, quarantined it and I removed it. I assured my drivers are up to date and I uninstalled equipment and reinstalled. I tried restoring the system several times, but after restarting the system restore, I get a message that says: he was not able to restore the system.

Any help on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello

If the DVD or the DVD? If all the drive might have a problem.

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
    correctly.

If the burn is a burning question at slower speeds, or by using the master could help. A
    CD/DVD cleaner might help.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.

    ===========================================

This troubleshooting could not help if there is alignment and/or wear issues however it
    a shot.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
