DVD writer does not eject
My engraver of DVD from Toshiba, TS-T632, ceased to eject. There is not a disc in the drive, in fact, I replaced with a new writer. He still does not eject or open to receive a disc. Manual unlocking does not open it and I don't know what to try next.

DVD writer does not recognize 'NEW' blank DVD - r (Windows XP)
Hello
I have a question that has been annoying me a lot during the last few weeks, as follows...
I have a Dell Optiplex GX620 computer is running Windows XP service pack 3, it has a cd/DVD burner in this model (HL-DT-ST DVD +-RW GWA4164B), I used to be able to burn CDs and DVDs fine, so please respond with lol 'maybe your drive doesn't burn DVDs' as you can see in the model # it's a DVD +-RW drive.
But my problem is the following... for some reason the DVD burner does not detect the 'NEW' blank DVD - R, there is no problem of detection of blank CD - R disc and I can burn fine on the CD - R. But for some reason it does not detect blank DVD?
When I put one in the drive, I don't get the popup asking what I want to do etc, or to go to WORKSTATION and look a the drive it shows no media present.
I have Nero Platinum 15 installed in my burning software, which has a function of DISK INFORMATION, which also shows that 'no disk in drive '.
I have re installed Nero...
I uninstalled the drive and re installed
Re, I installed the latest drivers for Dell Optiplex
I bought a second axis of new blank DVDs
I took out what I left little hair!
Can someone provide me with a fix for this problem? ANY help is GREATLY appreciated guys!

HP DVD Writer does not read or write DVD, but only the CD
My HP DVD 1135t burner does not read or write DVD but only the CD. What is the problem? Please help me.
CD/DVD players use different lasers for reading/writing DVD from the CD. All indications would point to your laser DVD as having failed. You could try to remove your drive and install it in another computer to see if the problem follows your player or your computer, but my bet is that the drive must be replaced.

Qosmio G20 - Slot Type DVD Writer does not in all disks
I have a PC laptop Toshiba Qosmio G20.
Problem: My DVD player is a slot type. I can't insert any CD/DVD disc even if I can push the disc inside full inside the drive, the drive does not it because it comes out as if I push the drive against a spring.
But when I try to insert a disc in the drive while the system is turned on, it detects the insertion of media & power ups system to read the media, but still should not be in all drives.
Is this a defect in the DVD drive & I can fix it or I have to go to a new?
Is this a software or hardware failure or any other?I'll appreciate your answers fast & friendly.
> Is that a defect in the DVD drive & I can fix it or I have to go for a new?
> Is this a software or hardware failure or any other?
I think it s a hardware problem.
But just a question; are you able to boot from a boot disk?If not then this could be really a hardware problem and in this case, that the CD/DVD drive needs to be replaced in most cases, it s not possible to repair the STRANGE old the STRANGE old will be replaced by a new one

At 60: DVD writer does not write on DVD
Hello.
I have a toshiba dvd - rom sd-r6112 A60.
It reads CDs and DVDs perfectly also burns CD.Problem:
When you try to burn iso image dvd with either (nero, recordnow, alcohol, etc), the percentage indicator has reached 100% and says burn has been successful. But the dvd is still blank. It seems that nothing has changed. Trying to verify burned data will fail because nothing on the dvd set. (not done im test mode :-)Please help me.
[Edited by: admin August 7 05 16:20]
Hi witne
First of all I think that it is not recommended to use multiple burning applications because it is possible that some of them are getting in the other. Try to use one of them. I always use Nero burning software and I had no problem at all.
If you use burning software Nero, I see possible two reasons for your question:
1. you must enable high compatibility mode that allows you to burn data and small then 1 GB
2. check the option called simultaneous. It must be disabled and enable the option just burningIf these options don't help t, please write again.
Good bye

Since the reinstall drivers, my LG DVD writer does not read DVD
Original title: LG ELECTRONICS LG GSA T40N Super Multi DVD IDE burner
I had to re - install the drivers on this drive and then I noticed that there is more to read the DVD. This drive will now appear as a CD-ROM read only by car. When I tried to roll back the driver, the option was not available. Re-installing the drivers did not help and when I went to the LG site the disc has been abandoned and no support was available.
How can I get this drive to read DVDs? What is the problem with the drivers that I have updated to what makes them to record the album as a CD-ROM drive?
In the run box, type: regedit, and then click OK
Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E3
25-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
With the right button of the upper filters button, if necessary, and then click 'remove '. Click on the Yes"" button.
Click the lower filters key, if present and click 'delete '. Click on the Yes"" button.
Close the registry editor and restart your computer.

I placed a DVD to burn some pictures and cannot eject the DVD. Any help!
Hello
Have you tried the paperclip method yet? Just get a paper clip (or something of the same size) and push gently to a small hole in the front of the optical drive. Another option is to turn off the machine and turn it back on, you should be able to go out normally.
Kind regards.

CD-ROM/DVD-ROM does not error, is not read/write
CD-ROM/DVD-ROM does not work. When I insert a disc, that nothing is happening, not auto start and without errors. When I double click on the drive via my computer dvd it says no disc inserted, tried the fix, found whatever it is, said peripheral works properly, the drivers were updated.
Try to replace the optical drive itself. They do not last forever.

Hi, I have Windows Vista and I use a computer laptop Dell studio. When I insert a disc into my CD/DVD drive, the drive spins and it looks like it is about to start and makes the same noise start several times and then just stops. My computer does not record that there is a disc there. If I double click on the DVD drive in 'My computer' it ejects my disc and says "insert the disc in drive E".
I went on the 'repair' Microsoft online scanner and it told me that there is a problem, but he can fix it. In Device Manager, under CD/DVD-ROM readers I have Optiarc DVD +-RW AD - 7640S. Under device status - general - properties, it says "this device does not work correctly. He also says that I have the updated driver.
I even uninstalled the driver as a last resort and then restarted my computer. It reinstalled the driver for me, but there was no change. Please help me!

My DVD player does not open when I click on the button
Hello
I hope someone can help me.
My DVD player does not open when I click on the button.I tried clicking on eject on the DVD drive icon in my computer and it comes up with an error message.
I think I deleted the cookies the other day. Who would have something to do with the problem?Any help would be greatly appreciated that I really don't want to send my phone to a technician.
Hello
Try to manually open the CD/DVD drive.
Near the eject button, you will find a small hole. You can use a small object like staple and could push gently into this hole.
Usually, this should help to open the drive manually.

Hi Lori,
What is the model number of your DVD player? You can try to reset the device and check if it helps. To reset, turn off the DVD player and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for 30 seconds. Plug the power cord into the power outlet, and turn on the player. Try to open the drawer.
According to the model number of your DVD player, press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons. If the drawer still does not open, simultaneously press the EJECTION of DISC1 + STOP buttons.
NOTE: This step may not apply to all models DISC1 is not available on all DVD players. If this does not work and the DVD player of SCREEN and PREV buttons, press and hold the DISPLAY + PREV buttons for two seconds to unlock the drawer.
If my post answered your question, please mark it as an "accepted Solution".

Hello
My DVD player does not work.
There is power to it. The engine turns when I eject and reinsert. Troubleshooting Control Panel for the equipment and devices said it is a driver problem, but cannot fix it. Problem with the driver.
I reinstalled it from the Toshiba site.
It records in the right place?
I am Windows 7 64 bit and chose the right driver for it.Should I use the 64-bit?
I have 3 MB of RAM which was the spec when bought. If I wanted to change to 32 bit how you take you without the CD/DVD drive?
Is there any point in doing this?Thank you
Richard
Hello
To be honest I m a bit confused.
You are not able to boot from THE disks; Windows disk, disk recovery, disk Linux? If it of the case, then it means that your CD/DVD drive is faulty.
Why? Because the CD/DVD drive is recognized and controlled by the BIOS when booting from CD or DVD.When the Windows operating system has started, the CD/DVD drive must use the Microsoft common driver which is part of the Windows operating system.
This means that you n t need to install ALL the drivers in order to get the job of CD/DVD.If you can boot from any disk, but if the CD/DVD drive is not recognized by MY computer, then I recommend this:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/270008/en-usBefore you remove the upper and lower registry filters, remove the CD/DVD drive in Device Manager and then go into the registry and remove the filters. Restart the unit.
Good luck
