E-mail of parody of blackBerry Smartphones?

I recently received an email from [email protected]

I do not recognize the address updates.blackberry.com and wonder if it is a parody. Sent to Blackberry support contact but cannot get them even to read it without $$. How re-reassuring!

  • E-mail address standard of blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello

I had a messaging problem on my BB Bold 9900. In addition, to my old email address, I created a new while keeping the old address active. In my system, I changed the standard e-mail address to the new. So far so good, when I write a new email my BB as the sender uses the new address. It's just different when I select a recipient from my contacts (which where before the new e-mail address). The question is why BB choose the old e-mail address as from address while it is supposed to use a new? I assume this has something to do with the contacts, but I can´t find a way to solve this problem.

    Thanks for helping me!

    Hi nobody123,

Welcome to the BlackBerry support community.

This feature works by design. When you send an email, the last address that you used for the e-mail to contact is selected by default. This article should provide more information. "What is the email a contact's default address when you compose a new message of electronic mail to the address book" http://bbry.lv/YXI05S

    I hope this helps.

  • E-mails from lack of blackBerry Smartphones

I have a Curve 8520 connected to. The server of the company (BIS) and I miss emails for more than 1 month so that I can see in my office with Microsoft Outlook 2007. Is it possible to let them see in my BlackBerry too? I tried to synchronize with the software of office but no way. Thanks for help.

It is not worth. With a BB, you must choose a single method to send your BB. If you use electronic mail OTA, the use of desktop software to reconcile, it is not available (at least it did not use to be... it's been quite some time that I need to). If you really need those emails on your BB, then simply send to yourself.

    Good luck!

  • Support for mail Yahoo POP3 of blackBerry Smartphones

I hope someone can help me.  I'm an American living in Guangzhou, China.  I currently have an iPhone 3 g, but the battery life terrible that makes me regret getting the phone in the first place.  I got exactly 4 months, and while its features are many, the battery life denies almost none of the features that made me buy in the first place.

I was in an electronic Mall the other day, here in China, and I was looking for BlackBerry.  I played with the BB 9000 and liked what I saw - the most important being the battery replaceable by the user.  After being in the store for what amounts to an hour, (my Chinese girlfriend have to interpret it for me) I was ready to buy the handset, but then said I'd need to buy a separate service which amounted to 58 rmb per month in order to get my Yahoo mail to work on the aircraft.  I just want the appliance for email.  I can use my iPhone for all the other stupid stuff I want to do if I need to.  I ONLY need access to my Yahoo email, send or receive - what is it.

The configuration of email for my iPhone was easy as pie.  I had the choice for external mail options, and I had only to insert my China Mobile SIM card in the device.  I do not pay any charge except the use of the card.  I just configured my pop3 information in the iPhone and I was off and running.  I love the iPhone, but the battery drain is ridiculous.  And I bought an external battery adapter that makes the whole package too big to use.

I'd appreciate any help you could provide.

I could have missed your question, but if with regard to the additional cost of data Plan BlackBerry, yes it's true.

Without the BlackBerry data Plan, you will get no e-mail feature.

    Good luck.

  • E-mail address by default blackBerry Smartphones change on 9930

The popular solution seems to be the OPTIONS > DEVICE > SETTINGS SYSTEM ADVANCED > DEFAULT SERVICES.

I'm selecting Options in the home screen, but I can't see the DEVICE.

Hi andrew-k and welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums!

Make sure that you enter in the Options icon, which appears as a key on your home screen. You will then see a list of additional options from sounds and ringtones. Device appears in this list.

Looks like you press the menu button on your home screen then click on Options, which will take you to the home screen preferences.

    Thank you.

Something as simple as this has now lost 3 hours of my day, not resolved, and now I think moving to iPhone because BB is rubbish without real support!

    No, it shouldn't.

This is a change from the simple option. Open your main messages folder > press the Menu key > Options > Inbox settings (or Inbox management) and you will see options to check or uncheck messages you want in the main folder Messages, or place a check of your primary e-mail address for these messages only streams to their own folder. Even with SMS, they can transfer it to your main Messages application or to their own folder.

So, if you want you can open your Facebook app > Options > and disable the setting to enable integration with your Messages application.

  • Box of mail/sms protection of blackBerry Smartphones

I did some research, some say that there is a third application for this. and others say this is not possible.

Basically, what I want is to put a password on my mail/sms box.

I wanne do that because, when someone wanne take a look at my BB didn't whant them check my emails/sms

I also know, you can hide the icoon... but if they know how a factory of BB (more knows not every day)... they just display it...

and the locking device does not work, because then people can just check the BB looks, not on the functions...

I had a Samsung in the past, it was easy enough and * beep * very convenient.

I would like to know, if there's an app for that?

or is he built this now or the near future?

  • E-mail for direct broadcasting blackBerry Smartphones

I can't spread my BB email as I can leave the office. I have all my contacts on my BB with their different categories but only able to send individuals. What I am doing wrong?

Yes, the categories are different groups.

You must create groups on the BB, best I remember.

You can create categories in Entourage and sync for BB, but not groups.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones forgotten password

The problem is I don't remember my password, can anyone help please :-) :-) :-)

We do not know your password for your e-mail account.

    1. how to restore the Mail app?

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot-~ 5 minutes...
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

There are several methods (which, BTW, no I believe to be useful to your situation):

    • KB14058 How to delete all data and applications in the smartphone BlackBerry using the security option wipe

N ° of BB devices lack a complete email client on them. Instead, they depend on the BIS service to provide messaging functionality. BIS is active when you have also listed Internet/personal email where you currently see only Enterprise. All services of BIS, are sent to the device via data carrier network... contact them are therefore the right approach to discover why their network is no longer to deliver to you the services that you pay for.

Good luck and let us know!
