E1200 - TX setting?

I am looking to buy the E1200.  Please can someone confirm if this router settings allow you to adjust the TX (aka power output)?

Thanks for your answers... I have a new question, but it makes more sense to create a new post on the forum, so I'll do it now...

    ·         What is the antivirus installed on the computer program?

    Let's try the following methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the antivirus on the computer program and check if the problem persists. If no problem occurs, then you need to firewall settings in the security software.

Note:  Check that you activate your anti-virus protection on the computer back after you complete these steps. It is not recommended to disable these settings on the computer. It's just to solve the problem.

  • Cannot set u00p E1200/E1500

Hi, I recently bought E1500 renovated through Amazon, hoping to replace WRT310N which was not slowly due to age. However, when I tried to install the suite in all directions, he invites me with the message saying that the computer could not find the device. So I contacted the customer service and they determined that the unit was defective. Not wanting to wait another week to get a router, I went to Best Buy and bought nine e1200. However, the same problem persists. My wild guess is this modem router and comcast linksys are unable to communicate somehow. Does anyone have the same kind of problem? Still, my old WRT310N works just the wireless speed is about 10% of what it was.

Have you used the installation cd supplied with routers to implement? For your case, you may need to configure the router manually. Or you could try to establish the first internet connection between the computer, the router and the modem before running the cd to get the use of the software. Since you have a Comcast cable connection, what you can do: reset the router first by pressing the reset button on the router itself by using a paper clip or a PIN for 15 seconds, then the power it down for 10 seconds; Once the power led is solid, you can then start the manual installation; Access the router configuration page (to learn how, see this link: http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=3d655af76e21457fa8b71a0c3a2a0c9c_3676.xml&pid=80&r...). On the Configuration tab, click Mac address Clone. Turn it on and click Clone My PC MAC; Click on save settings. Go to the status tab and check if you have Internet IP address on the page (if you do, try to check your internet connection; if no, restart the router and the modem then again check the IP address). Once the internet works, you can then try to run the installation cd again. If she will always give you an error message, download the latest version of the software from the Web site: http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/E1200 ; ( http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/E1500) and use it to complete the configuration of your router.

  • E1200 won't save reserved IP.

    Hello

I have DHCP enabled on our E1200. I had a conflict with the 192.168.1.112 used by 2 PC. I need the reserved 192.168.1.112 because it works our dashboard. I set it statically to the PC. I'm trying to reserve the IP and MAC address on the router and when I click on add added, however when I click on save, it does not record.

    Thank you

    The best is:

    • If you set the information of static IP address on a device on the network adapter, it should be on the same network but outside the range of the DHCP server's IP address.

    Ex:

    Range of DHCP servers: 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.200

Any IP address between these ranges 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.99 and 192.168.1.201 - 192.168.1.254 can be assigned to network adapters.

    • If you assign IP addresses via the function server DHCP of the router to 'Booking DHCP' or 'binding IP and MAC', you must leave the set DHCP client (Auto IP) of the network adapters on the computer.
  • E1200 V2 speed

Hey, I recently bought the E1200 advertised as 300mbit/s, but it is slower than my old WRT54GL. The wireless, I get only 1.5 / 2 MB/s download speed and 6-7 Mbps wired max.  My ISP gives me 100 Mbps in download, about 12 MB/s without the help of the router.

I'm not an expert imto configuration of routers, but I think that I have disabled anything that might slow down, but no change at all.

I was getting 3-4 MB/s wireless and 4-5 Mbps wired with the old WRT54GL... something must be wrong here.

@Redbull, your modem speed is impressive. The speed you get directly to your modem and the speed at which you get connected to your router should be the same or if there is a difference, it should be close to that.  Make sure that WMM is enabled. Sucurity must be set to WPA2 only. You can reflash/update the firmware of your router. See the link here. Manually upgrading the firmware of the WiFi Linksys router or gateway series X

  • Router E1200 works not - error 3005 (and network does not connect by hand)

I am trying to put in place a new monitor of N300 E1200 and am not having any luck. Using the Cisco Connect ends with an error in step 'Validate the connection' each time, telling me:

    Error: 3005

An HNAP call to the device failed because the HTTP connection was broken.

(If it is relevant, the serioal number, type of connection and IP (WAN) all happen as "unknown" in the details of the error).

I am able to set up the router manually via the access by web browser. I can name the wifi network, set up security, and even see and authenticate to the network of my devices, however, no connection is available when it is connected. (The internet connection is good - when I move the incoming cable between the router and computer, I instantly have access - so perfect this post)

I also tried all the basic steps of reset and restart all involved several times, but I always end with the same result - 3005 error in the application configuration, then on a manually configured wifi network that seems to be working and can authenticate devices, but does not include any internet connection.

I am at a loss at this point - here someone has any advice? Thank you very much for your time and input.

    -e.

Then you must configure PPPoe in the router, unless your ADSL modem is already acting as a router and not the PPPoe.

  • Need help with internet access on a Linksys E1200 strategy

Hi, I have an a Linksys E1200 (Firmware Version: 2.0.01), and September 13, 2012, I configured the Internet access policy to deny access to internet for 4 devices between the hours of 22:00 and 08:00 on the evening of the school.)  It was working fine! I was very pleased.

Over the last weekend, the electricity was launched for a second, the power was back on in 2-3 seconds if. The router comes back online, and everything seemed in excellent working condition. Then Sunday evening (considered to be a night of school in our House) at 22:00 the router did not refuse Internet 4 devices as it normally did. I logged into the control panel admin via a browser web, and checked access to internet strategies, I configured last week was still configuration property.

Everything was always configuration property to deny access to the internet for 4 devices Sunday night/Monday morning between 08:00 and 22:00. I checked that the router has the date and time. But the router is not always deny access as it was setup to do. It worked fine before the weekend, and then after the weekend it stopped working the property. The only thing I can think of this month of may of the cause is 2-3 seconds, the power went out then came back on. The router is connected through a surge protection.

Then I set up the Internt access policy week last to deny access to 4 devices on the night of the school between 22:00 and 08:00. I waited 24 hours to make sure it worked, after that it worked, I got the router send me a backup of the config file. I tried to use it to solve this problem, but it did not help either.

This is a screenshot of what looks like my Internet access policy. I had to create 2 policies because the router has refused to create a policy where the end time was not later than the start time. Anywho, so political #1 is from 22:00 to 11:55, and policy #2 is from 12: 00 to 08:00. This Internet access policy is configured to deny access to 4 devices between midnight and 08:00 Monday morning. It was working fine last week, so I'm 100% positive that it is the router.

The following screenshot is the status information to show the date and time of the router is correct.

So the router was Monday morning @ 03:00, the router has an active policy of internet access to deny the device access to the internet, the router had recently worked flawlessly to do this, but for some reason any, that he could not do this morning?

Can you please explain it to me or provide me with free software to "lock" the internet for specified devices. I really want to have to stay until 22:00 5 nights a week, so I can help my daughter sneaking online when she should be in bed. taking his phone and the laptop is not an option.

Thanks for reading, forward a reply as soon as possible.

    ~ Tony

Hello. I think that Yes, too, that it is a router problem. Just to isolate it, try to update the firmware and then reset and reconfigure the router again and use the same policies that have worked before. On Cisco's Web site, the latest firmware for version 2 is 2.0.04. You can download it here http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/E1200. You can use the links below in the public KB site of Cisco.

  • With E1200 slow download speeds

I have an E1200 that will work very well for a while, then suddenly the download speed for all wireless devices will be reduced to between 20-30 KB/s.  It happened last night when we were watching videos on Hulu.  We were explosive along the end, when all of a sudden the connection was pretty awful that it had to stop watching.  We have no idea of what has changed – there is only two of us in the House and we were both passively watch Hulu.

It's already happened, and generally change something like the wireless channel fixed it, but not this time.

The computers that we have connected to the router via Ethernet gets stuck between 1 to 3 MB/s, so I know that's not the modem or the access provider.

The intensity of the signal is good (4-5 bars).  I tried to reposition the router and the wireless receiver, but that did not help.

I have the latest firmware for the router, as far as I know (v2.0.02).

I tried all channels available (including the ' Auto').  I tried to change the width of the channel between Auto and 40 MHz.  I tried to reset the router to factory settings and re - download my configuraiton.  I tried to set QoS.

    Any other ideas?

Hmmm I have a router E4200 and had the same problem. But when I disabled it Support WMM and I was able to make it work properly.

  • IP E1200 as access point ranges

I have a Cisco 880 (provided by my company and as such, I have little access to the control panel). I have a Linksys E1200 (Cisco) to use as an access point. Installation of Cisco (love it!), but the simple configuration gives the E1200 a range of ip addresses from 192.168.1.1 while Cisco 880 range is 192.168.185.113. I need to have connections in the same rage of ip (192.168.185.xxx) for remote monitoring. What is the best way to achieve this? Bridge mode (I have no need to Mode of reviews I've read is not possible in bridged mode)? Disable DHCP on the E1200? I've been roaming forums, but there's still a few confuson. Guidance gratefully received.

    Hello

You have two configuration options for the desired configuration. You can make the LAN to LAN (cascading) configuration or in Bridge Mode. Well the 2 types of installation are the same. The only difference is that you must manually configure all on LAN to LAN setup.  It includes turning off DHCP and manually configure an IP address for the E1200 (which will be the secondary router). Configure the router bridge Mode automatically disables router functions and sets the router as a simple switch/access point.

For me, I will configure using the method of the Bridge Mode. It's going to be much easier that way. Please click on the following links learn more about the waterfall and Bridge Mode:

  • E1200 Wireless is slow (Ethernet is fine)

I just bought a new router Linksys E1200 to replace a D-Link router, in order to address a problem of Xbox Live. This problem has been resolved with the new router. However, the E1200 wireless connection speeds are very slow, while ethernet speeds are normal.

Speedtest.NET show me speeds between 0.5 and 2 Mbps instead of the usual 20-25mbps I receive via ethernet and wireless from the D-link download.

Interestingly, my download speed seems unaffected and remains about 4 Mbps if I connect wirelessly or via ethernet.

My router is a Linksys E1200 v2 running 2.0.02 build 3. All 3 computers, I am trying to connect are MacBook Pro of variable age from 2007 to 2011. I have the router allows only connections Wireless-N, and encryption is WPA2 Personal.

Try to go into the QoS (in Administration?) and affecting the disabled WMM. Then, run your tests. Make sure that your computers are not set to N only, or you will lose connectivity. WMM is required for N Wireless to do its job, WMM slows Internet.

No, britainblues. The router Cisco E1200 is not designed to be used as the LAN wireless (WLAN).

  • E1200 Playstation 3 Help!

I have a router E1200 and my ISP is Comcast.

I need help to find how to have the best settings for online play. I did the static IP set up. But I still have some lag on a connection. I called Comcast to see what I can do. They said his problems with the router.

I enter the numbers to the right for PS3 in the simple Port Forwarding and Port Range Forwarding. I turn on the DMZ and seized the same IP address on my PS3

and I entered the following DNS

    DNS1: 208.67.222.222, DNS2: 208.67.220.220

Can someone help me on something that I missed?

PS: I don't have a problem with resetting the router together and starting from scratch?

You talked with your previous post that you have triggered and transmitted so ports on the router with DMZ active. In fact, the firing port and shipping should be use both and also DMZ won't go to work if is port triggering or transmission is activated. So, make sure you that DMZ is disabled. Another thing is since the firmware of the router is already updated, reset the router for 30 sec, disconnect/reconnect the power cord and wait as the power light is solid before you configure manually. What are the ports you have open on the router?

  • E1200 1 month, 2 reboots / restarts old router, 5 zero

Twice I shot the computer on my network to find no connectivity... after waiting on the Windows XP or Windows 7 Enterprise (2 different computers) to repair only to result in "unable to set", I finally corrected the two instances by unplugging the power cord to the e1200 and re - plug.

What is going on? A router from another company's previous wireless ran for 5 years without rebooting... radio went wobbly, but that's another story.

Essentially the Log function on the router will help you track all activities in your network. It also records the errors that may occur. Tech geeks generally use this feature to read and questions of identity through the router.

  • Linksys E1200 disconnects a computer all in game.

Heya. I had a problem with my E1200, we bought yesterday to replace an old belkin wireless-G, we thought was the culprit of our questions.

Recently, we moved to a House to an apartment. In our old House, we had no problem of internet connectivity at all. We used a wireless router (not sure what kind) and had a great connection for streaming and playing video games as League of Legends. The router has belonged to a roommate, however, so we had to use an old one that we had in stock when we moved into our new place.

The wireless G router was unreliable and had to be reset constantly, as the internet was often slow or disconnected. We picked up a new router yesterday, Linksys, and I set up the wireless network. Our internet seems to work very well, a speed test, that we ran with speedtest.net was beautiful. But we will still have a weird question.

When my boyfriend play LoL, it's always get lag and connectivity problems. Everything in his computer is the same as it was in our old House, when we had no problem, and this problem started when we arrived on a new network. The weird part is, when it is unplugged, my internet is still very good.

The router is in the same room that the computer, with no cross road of walls. It is set up next to the modem and is behind the TV. We have not all wireless phones and the microwave oven is in another room. I tried to clear up the wireless by activating the router to another channel (channel 2 which has 2 other users, rather than channel 11, which has 9 other users). It has improved our speed, but he's always disconnect when it is in a game.

We have only 3 devices running off of the router: my laptop, my PC and the PC. We aren't torrenting or anything streaming when this problem occurs. I can't reduce the problem. Anyone know what can possibly be emphasizing the connection?

    Thanks for your time.

Others will be overlap 1,6 and 11.  As I said, try some other channels to see what may work for you.

  • Linksys E1200 Compatible with OSX 10.9.4 v2?

I've been a PC user all through, and today we opened the present family - a new iMac. I'm trying to set it up today, including being able to administer the wireless router.  I bought the router in January 2014, on the back it says it's model E1200 v2.  However, today, I tried to download the Cisco Connect software (for version 2), the message was that the V2 software, I downloaded was compatible with: MAC OS X 10.5.8 or later, MAC OS X 10.6.1 or later or MAC OS X 10.7 or higher.

In the list of the "minimum requirements of OS' with a lower number (10.5.x, 10.6.x, 10.7.x), if she mentions not even Mac OS 10.9.x, it means he would be ever compatible?  Alternatively, as 10.9.x is a number larger than the other, this means that it exceeds the minimum requirements and I should be fine?

My friends at Apple told me that my new wireless router work with my new iMac. Less than 2 hours in this new computer, certainly I'm fumbling my way around the iMac, so I assume I'm doing something wrong.  I'm not speaking the language of Mac OS, so I'm not entirely sure that I correctly interpret this message (or by downloading the necessary software).

I need a new router if I want to admister this iMac?  Or I'm just downloading the wrong thing?

    Thank you.

You should be able to configure the router using a web browser such as Safari or FF or Mac and connect to the web page of routers to 192.168.1.1...
