electrical interference?

I have a HP Presario CQ62 laptop which seems to have an electrical interference which is evident through the speakers.

The hum and the block is only for a fraction of a second, but it's boring. The computer has windows 7 and there has been no recent changes. Everyone knows the same problem?

Strange... could be a component internal short-circuit occasionally.  If it was this I guess you would have more catstrophic failure.  It could also be associated driver.  Sometimes let windows automatically installs the drivers for you may cause your system get a newer version of a similar driver for your system, but not the correct driver.  Species: my work laptop had a windows version of a graphics driver update.  Whenever I would use Solidworks (3D CAD software) the and extrude a sketch into a 3D object my system would blue screen and crashed.  I looked at the stop code of windows and reduced to a driver problem.  I looked at the ID of the hardware of my graphic material on pcidatabase.com and find the appropriate driver information and downloaded the driver. As soon as I installed it, my problems went away.  Now in your case, you probably better to try and install a new audio driver or video driver (if you feel confident to do this).  the only way to really limit (assuming it's a pilot) is to be found in the windows system event logs and I hope to find a relative to this anomaly.  I hope everything works out for you!

    Hello Karnhack,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I understand that you hear crackling sounds like possible interferences during start up your Mac. Did you just hear that noise at startup?

It is possible that this could be a sort of interference, but I would say that resetting the NVRAM on your Mac as a troubleshooting step.

  • MM turns on after several attempts

    Hi people out there.

About 3 weeks ago I brought my Mac Mini at a support centre official that I can get my card fixed logic (logic + glitching integrated graphics card).

After paying 500 to replace the whole logic board, I now encountered another problem.

Everytime I push the power button, the front LED lights up for about 1/2 second, then turns off. I was able to hear how the fan tries to run then shuts down.

Even if I managed to turn on the computer when I insist by pressing the power button. Need me about 100 attempts to make it work. Then, when I'm inside the system, all smooth as silk.

Possible corrections that I put away:

    • The power cable seems to agree, I tried the plugin in another cable, but the problem persists.
    • Reset the PRAM and SMC made no difference at all.
    • Put discarded if there is electrical interference cause peripheral, I tried power with the power cord plugged alone, the problem persists.

  • What is a typical level of noise on a signal 4-20 my?

I have a laser distance measuring device "time of flight" connected to a NI9203 module (I +/-20mA).

The sensor is configured to my exit 4 at 200 mm and 20 my 1800 mm (i.e.  0.01 my / mm).

The application requires a resolution of 1 mm, but I am currently getting 2-4 mm of the noise.

The noise is not introduced during the phase of action due to the data obtained by the serial port are good (see attached image comparing analog and series data).

The noise has an amplitude of 0.02 to 0.04 my (0.1-0.2% of full scale).  Is a reasonable level of noise or can I expect better results?

I'm testing in an office where I would expect low levels of electrical interference.  I use a cable tank and short cable trays.  The final application will be in an environment of noiser with many more long runs of cable.

To remove the sensor as the source of noise I replaced it with a 9V battery in series with a 820 Ohm resistor to generate the signal of my 10.  Using the same cable and channel DAQ, I get a similar noise level.

The sensor has a 16-bit converter DA and the DAQ card has a 16-bit AD converter that should be more than enough for this application (1600mm / 2 ^ 16 = 0.02 mm resolution).  My understanding is that the current loops have a high level of protection against noise. Is it possible that there is a problem with my DAQ card causing the noise?

the specification shows an accuracy range of 0.049mA.  This is the best you can hope for with this device and is not too bad!

What do you mean by "noise?"

Quantitization uncertainty can be reduced by averaging.

EMI/RFI can be filtered post acquisition

Good connections and wiring (you seem to be aware of) can reduce interference.

It is also quite possible that your problem is not software partner. PC produce a lot of electrical interference and this could be the cause. It can be difficult and frustrating to contain, but to consider things such as:

    -routing of the cables of electrical equipment and wiring headset;

    -turn off all but the bare minimum of electrical devices nearby;

    -try (borrow?) a pair of headphones which are armoured;

-l' use of a power conditioner on the power supply to the power supply of your PC (UM frequency - usually 50 or 60 Hz - associated you wall outlets transferred to the speakers is often audible).

  • Instability Wireless: Atheros AR9285 briefly disconnects every few minutes

I bought an ASUS K50ID on Newegg and tried to connect to my Netgear wireless-N, through its Atheros AR9285 (who claims to have installed the latest drivers)

Connections starts without a hitch, but after awhile, I noticed that the connection would be cut at random for just a second.  It was not bad enough to attract my attention just browsing, but when I tried to use Windows Live Messenger, it disconnect me every 5 or 10 minutes, and then I would sign immediately.  He would say that he had to reconnect to the network, is not just a problem of software with WLM.

I have disabled the option to turn the card wireless for powersaving (also, it's funny that it uses by default this option to 'on')

I looked for manual updated driver, but Atheros website is confusing and sometimes in French and is not my card the list of drivers, only for more information.

I checked my router settings, etc., and it seems fine.  It of just that sanded Atheros AR9285 and its lack of will to stay connected! Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide.

P.S. I also disabled the IP assistance service, someone said that it can solve. There can be no.

    Hello

Check with ASUS updated drivers manually as well as possible firmware updates for the
Netgear router. Also check the placement of the router - if it is closer to 6 feet or too far-
is there a lot of electrical interference or metal in the line of fire - or too many walls - different
floors of level - or just distance.

Of course there would be something wrong with the new computer - or the router.

Check with the ASUS support and their forums.

Now please read the question below.

    Issues related to the:

Q1. Which computer should I connect main internet connection (computer on which will better host win7 or Win XP)?

Q2. What equipment I mean as a router, hub, NIC etc.? Please specify if these materials will be required for two PCs or for one.

Q3. What type of Internet connection sharing will be better to be wired or wireless (cost, speed and security wise)?

Q4. I need two IP address both part of connection to the internet between two PCs?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Zeff,

You can make Windows 7 the main computer for internet connection and then host the Windows XP computer.

For more information, see the article:

Start here to set up a home network in Windows 7

Networking of computers running different versions of Windows

With respect to the equipment as a router, hub, NIC depend on the connection (wired or wireless) you want to use. You can also check with the ISP (Internet Service Provider) for more information.

For more information, see the articles:

What do I need to connect to the Internet?

    Setting up a network home

Wired and wireless connections have great benefits, but they have also some disadvantages.

    Wired connection:

    > Faster and more robust than wireless connections but not so flexible when positioning of computers and devices because you must be connected to your Super Hub with an Ethernet cable.

    > Safer than wireless connections, but not so convenient for users of laptops and other mobile devices.

    WiFi connection:

    > Wireless! If you can connect when you want. However performance may be affected by walls, electric interference etc.

    > Ideal for users of laptops and other mobile devices, you can connect devices more but slower than wired connections

    > Very safe when used with higher level (WPA) encryption. You can connect your smart phone to your network wirelessly for faster browsing.

However, unauthorized users could try to use your connection (which explains why security is so important).

There are two types of IP addresses. external and internal. Both computers have the same external IP address but separate internal IP addresses. Each device in your network will have its own (internal) IP address. The external IP address, who sees the Internet is actually assigned to your router.

Hope the helps of information. Let us know if you need help with Windows related issues. We will be happy to help you.

  • Windows 8 slows internet?

I got my new laptop with windows 8 and when I connect to the internet the maximum number is 3 bars, my laptop is 3 meters where I get my internet. My brother has a laptop that is 2 years older than me with windows 7 and it gets full and internet bars perfect all the time! No one knows how to fix this?

    Hello, Stanley White,.

Windows 8 would not affect your internet performance in the way you describe. router an is on my desk so my laptop is practically inches apart. I get five bars. My brother, which the laptop is situated5 meters get between 3 and 4 bars. The reason for the reduction is the bathroom wall that separates the two laptops.

Another cause may be electrical interference, strip lighting and televisions. If the router is placed on a book shelf, this can also reduce the performance of signal.

  • Problem Bluetooth X220T

Hello. My bluetooth works very well when the sound flow of a bluetooth speaker with the following exception: if I my right Palm resting on the laptop, as you would if you were typing the words, the sound completely cut. If I raise my hand on the surface, it works but it is not very comfortable or something you want to do for a long period of time. I tore the it and noticed that the bluetooth device is just below where the palm rest on the keyboard. I removed a screw out which I assume is an antenna and reinstalled it but that made no difference. doubt l what it is because of the downward pressure because he feels strong enough, so I think it's some kind of electrical interference. This is meaningless because my hand is the new model CyborgX RH80 and it is certified free of this problem (unlike its predecessor RH79 model). Any ideas on what is causing this problem and how to fix it?

    Hello

I have to admit that I'm totally familiar with medical prosthesis, but Bluetooth operates in the 2.4 GHz band, which is the range of the electromagnetic spectrum microwave frequencies.  My guess is that the prosthesis is made of certain materials that absorbs microwave radiation (metals, electronic, etc.) and this is what blocks the Bluetooth signal.

Normally, I would say to someone to check if something will interfere with a Bluetooth signal asking them to put them in an oven in microwave for a few seconds and see if it's hot, this must not be done with the prosthesis that would be damaged, and I know that they are very expensive but each of them must be individually produced and personalised for the wearer.

I suggest you to check with your doctor or the manufacturer to learn more about how your prosthesis is built and if they have any suggestions.  In the meantime, to work around the problem, you can use an external Bluetooth USB adapter into one of the USB ports on the unobstucted X220t, and who should work fine.

    Kind regards

  • XPS13 buzz

My XPS13 seems to have a quiet buzz when scrolling on the touchpad or touch screen. If there is any audio playing through the speakers, then this parasite and crackling through the speakers. If I stop scrolling stops crackling. So it would appear there is some electrical interference on the map somewhere, perhaps in connection with the toucpad/touch screen.

I've read several instance of people with ringing and reel whining and similar problems on their XPS13. Someone can confirm what the fix was, is a replaced part, card mother/touchpad etc?

I connected it with Dell support and they will try to change the speakers first, although I don't think that's the problem.

Engineer came today and came up with a new card wifi, new speakers and new motherboard.

Tried after every part was replaced and the problem still exists. Dell support requested a week she degrades at level 3 for their engineers to look into the problem. Apparently, there was some other XPS13 with the same problem.

  • Sony Vaio faucet 11 - random touchscreen issues

I bought a 11 Tap Sony VAIO (model SVT11213CXB number) and actually have experienced a similar problem with the touch screen as owners of Duo, but with the mouse cursor goes to the top right (instead of the left) of the display in landscape mode and clicking randomly.

When I bought water from the tap in November, I updated the drivers and BIOS via Vaio Update, ran all the updates of Windows and then upgraded to Windows 8 to 8.1. All updated without problems or errors during the installation. The touch screen seems to randomly occur after the upgrade, but I must confess that I didn't have the tap water well before the upgrade to 8.1. If the question was probably there before the upgrade. I also ran all the patches from Microsoft for the Windows 8.1 "lousy mouse" question and still no change.

After a lot of troubleshooting and research, I narrowed down it to the following:

    Problem driver or firmware 1.)

    IR or RF interference) 2

    3.) related material

#1 seems the most likely in the Duo many owners have argued that the problem has been resolved by installing the N - Trig Duo feel software and drivers.

    http://Forum.TabletPCReview.com/Sony/55222-Sony-VAIO-duo-11-touchscreen-screen-problems.html

But when I run the installer it errors saying that "N-Trig hardware was not detected. I thought then that maybe the update of the modified BIOS 12/17 watered the N-Trig firmware and the touch input was handled only by integrated Windows Pen and Touch. Mainly because the devices and Program Manager installs don't list anything marked "N-Trig. But I went to our Sony store and drivers listed for their display unit is the same as my config. A couple of owners of Duo set out this thread they encountered the same error. The N-Trig support forum suggests that cases where you receive this error during install it to contact the manufacturer of the device. But they only software and drivers for Windows 8 and not 8.1, so this could also be the cause of the error when installing (compatibility mode does not work).

#2: I couldn't really test the theory of IR sensor that I can not understand how to turn off the sensor? It is possible that the sensor could be picking up interference and causing the random input touch screen (the Duo also has the IR sensor?). However, (with the selected hidden devices) Device Manager does not list an infrared device, only devices and printers or Vaio Control Panel? There are drivers that are installed, even if apparently it controls our fine TV using remote app from Sony. I guess I could just cover the sensor with tape, but I was hoping to avoid getting the sticky tape on the cover of my tablet.

RF interference could be a possiblity, but doubtful. The tap water and the Duo have the same power to my knowledge card (I do not use a 3rd party power adapter, I use a Sony supplied with the appliance). However, I tested this theory just now leaving the Tablet unplugged during use and I still encountered the problem. I also tried it away electronic nearby, including my iPhone, but still no change. I thought also keyboard and mouse wireless, the tap water was the issue, but turn it off while the cursor is by clicking at the top right of the screen does not occur. External mouse and keyboards do not solve the problem either (without wireless, wired or bluetooth). I could not reproduce the problem on the touchscreen in the case, sometimes just at random and generally lasts no more than 10 seconds when it does.

I had to move my taskbar to the top of my screen so that it does not close the window of program or browser that I work and instead just opening the window date and time repeatedly.

I really hope this isn't #3 I have not had the time unit and will not exchange it for another and will not bother to send it in for repair. Especially since the owners in other threads Duo have had their screens replaced, only to have the problem reoccur. The owners of duo have also tried a full system refresh, only to have the same problem, so I'm not bothering with this track that I don't want to have to reinstall all my software again, reactivate licenses.

Return to Best Buy holiday window expires on Jan 14, so if I don't get a response from Sony or get this resolved before then I'm probably just to take it back. I'm past an Apple Macbook Air for the tap water and even sold my Mini iPad I wanted a true all-in-one device. I was also counting on exchanging my iPhone against a Xperia from Sony Z1, but I'm hesitant examining the issues I'm having my first purchase of Sony.

Overall I really like the direction that Sony goes with their products and want to stay with them, but I have to admit that the quality of the devices Apple and their response to the questions related to the products is currently unmatched. I hope Sony can deliver the same question, but I'm skeptical that a few discussions about this with the Duo go back to 2012, early 2013 with still no resolution or definitive answer as to why the Support of Sony.

Yes, quite the question. It's probably an electrical interference or software. Out of curiosity, have you tried to test whether or not it engages with and without power cord? This seems like one of the things isolated by a few people then allows to rule that, at the present time. Second would be if you tried to calibrate the screen? There are instructions on how to do it here: https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/37544/c/65%2C66/kw/37544.

Let me know what happens and I'll see what we can do from there. Sony is a great place to get electronics but hiccups occur. My Duet works well and I didn't so far no problem with the touch screen.

  • Interference between channels using a block of cFP-TC-120, CB-3 connection

Using a CB-3 with a cFP-TC-120 module connection block for read sensors millivolt. The sensors are pressure with an excitation of 10V sensor. Millivolt signal varies 8mv to-70mv. All have 8 differential channels wired in two of these modules sitting in slots 3 and 4, a slot 4 back on the plain. There is also the 24V in the electrical box used by two modules to relay PSC - 421 driving valves that open, leads at room temperature or in separate the empty rooms they are in slots 1 and 2. Do to the cFP-TC-120 the same and each is affected in the same way, more interference is not only between the same module 120 channels, but also between the modules! If a sensor is vacuum where the millivolt is around 7 mV reading is stable through the following conditional changes. "If a sensor is emptied at room temperature, say channel 6 and channel one is already at room temperature its reading can change by 0.25mv be affected by the evacuation of other channels. This worsens proportional number of channels is ejected by up to 0.5 mV for all other channels that are evacuated. This module is differential and each channel and the module are isolated we don't understand where or how this interference takes place. Help!

    Ben,

We have done some trouble shooting and isolated in millivolts sensor signal of the NOR. We found that voltage was real and electronics is not the field point. The system runs on 24V except for sensors that have an excitation of 12v. We found that the Commons between these continuous tensions were just that, each have been shared. We have separated the Commons and vola! Perfection.
