EnhetHP Deskjet 720C

Hello

I try to get my RESUME to work, but it won't. I have not found the driver on my old HP. I hope someone can help me if I can use my HP.

  • DeskJet 720C: HP Deskjet 720C Page counter?

Hi, how can I print a page counter in this model? I need to control how many runs were carried out.

    Thanks for any help!

Sorry, the HP Deskjet 720c printer was internal firmware minimum and held host to many internal functions to the printer on the other models.  The Deskjet 720C printer doesn't have an internal for many pages counter, so that this information is not available on this printer.

If you want to count pages used now and in the future, you may using a third party application such as free here.  This will follow the current use, but will not be able to account for its use until the program has been installed.

DeskJet 720c: can not access the box tools.  I get a message saying "no driver."  Funny, I've been printing with the exact same configuration for years.  Impression was bad so I decided to use the Toolbox to see why.

I tried to download a new driver but it says that my XP operating system already had a.  No surprise there... and no Toolbox.

I finally bought a new inkjet cartridge foor $40, but now I still need to access the Toolbox to align the stupid thing.

What garbage!  No wonder that h - p will be out of the company.

BTW the FAQ asked me what kind of connectors that I used.  Choice did not mine, which is the parallel Centronics interface.  So I'm nowhere with it.

    The page here can help.

Be aware that the printer Deskjet 720c was a low-end (relatively) printer introduced over 15 years ago.  It is quite possible that not all features are available in the current drivers, the printer was introduced to the time when Windows 3.1 was the current operating system.

HP has not suggested that they get out of the business of the printer, they have indicated that they are drop Touchpad hardware and look at the options for the PC business.  The printer is a very different organization.  (That said, I do not work for HP, and I do not have the information in this case.  "I am the news).

  • Cannot print with Deskjet 720C on Windows 7

Bought a Pavilion G5401sc with Windows 7. Can't print using my Deskjet 720C. Pilot installs ok when I connect the printer by USB. Printer deleted physically and devices & printers, add printer... According to the suggested workaround solution. Tried to connect the printer to a laptop that has Windows 7, same problems. Connect the printer to an XP computer and it prints without a problem...

    Any help would be appreciated...

Found a workaround in another forum... prints fine now.

  • DeskJet 720C: Deskjet 720C is usable in Windows 10?

    Hello.

Does anyone know if the 720C can be used in Windows 10?

I saw one case where a user has reported its Deskjet 820c worked on Windows 10 x 64 shared from a XP machine.  If you have an XP machine or Windows 7 to share the printer from this can be a good workaround.

I see other people having this problem but I can't seem to get the printer going on the new USB port on a new computer laptop.

I don't connect when you said that a few post back as your printer is connected using a parallel to USB cable. Now that I have a better understanding of this aspect, I can tell you that it may not work again. Unfortunately, the type of connection that uses the printer is very outdated and is no longer supported because of the potential problems that may result. I'm willing to bet that the issue of installation does not deal with the laptop itself, but the laptop cannot communicate with the printer without communication problems.

My honest suggestion is to check out some of the more recent deskjets or small officejets and see what we have available to replace this unit. Much product HP printers are now improved print quality, ink longevity and increased functionality (wireless, scanning, etc.).

I hope I have shed some more on the issue.

Let me know and have a great day!

  • DESKJET 722C DRIVER FOR WINDOWS 7

I RECENTLY UPGRADED TO AN HP PAVILION. MY PRINTER IS AN OLDIE BUT GOODIE 722 C I BOUGHT AN ADAPTER CABLE TO CONVERT THE CONNECTOR 25 PINS ON THE PRINTER CABLE TO A USB CONNECTOR. I TRIED THE HP WEB SITE TO GET A DRIVER AND HP SAYS THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE A DRIVER FOR WINDOWS 7. DOES ANYONE HAVE A SUGGESTION ON HOW TO PROCEED FROM HERE IN DEEP SIXING MY 722 AND BUY A NEW PRINTER?

Sorry, but the above will not work.  The Deskjet 722 is a printer host and is not compatible with the driver Deskjet 6980.

You can install the driver as follows: connect the printer with the USB converter / parallel.  Click Start, devices and printers, add printer local printer and select the appropriate port. When the list of printers, click Windows Update, and wait a few minutes for the list to repopulate *.  Once the list repopulates select HP as the manufacturer (not HP) and select the driver Deskjet 720C, then.

You have an 32-bit or the 64 bit version of Windows 7?  If you have a 64-bit Windows 7, you need to a patch as the supplied driver crashes the spooler.  After the installation of the printer (but before you print anything, including a test page) install the patch available here.

    * Edit - if you get an error "Windows could not get a list...". "When you click the Windows Update button, then see the solution here.

  • Widows does not recognize HP DeskJet 722C

I just installed Windows 7 on my Dell 4600. I had Windows XP before and I have problems with my HP Deskjet 722C printer. Windows 7 does not recognize the printer.

I downloaded the original printer driver. That did not help. I did adapt Windows and Windows Upgrade. They did not help.

    What can I do?

The Deskjet 720C driver that is available through Windows Update works fine for the Deskjet 722C.  Install using the procedure below .  If you use a 64 bit version of Windows 7, you need to apply the patch available here .

  • HP DeskJet 722C (720 Series) could not find the new driver for Windows 7

I upgraded my OS to Windows 7, I had XP.  My HP Deskjet 722C worked fine, now it doesn't.  No driver Windows 7 on HP Web site.  Is there a solution?  Is there a solution?

If you use a 32-bit version of Windows 7, you can add a driver using the following: go to the folder devices and printers, add printer, the local printer, LPT1: (or the parallel port regardless of the printer is connected to the), select the Deskjet 720C driver.  You may need to click the Windows Update button if the pilot does not initially in the list.

If you use a 64 bit version of Windows 7 there is not a solution at this stage, the supplied drivers have a problem.

  • Printing from Vista 64 bit

I have an old but superb HP Deskjet 720C printer, it worked fine in XP via a parallel to USB adapter cable but, even if it's on the list of compatibility of Vista it won't work for Vista 64-bit!

When I try to print, the printer turns on, gets as much as to load paper then it's there with a flashing light.  I turned off the printer, then he feeds a sheet of paper blank and closed its doors?

I deleted the printer, plugged re, Vista has found and loaded the driver but the printer will not work.  Tried the HP diagnostic prog that tells me that there is no printer and no driver, but Vista tells me that the HP 720 C is the default printer and is ready to print. Also, it shows a document in the queue, and then indicates an error printing.

HP say there is no new drivers and Vista already has the driver more appropriate.

My system is an i7 920 cpu, 6 GB of RAM with Vista 64 bit (SP2 now) Although it wouldn't work on SP1.

Question 1.  It is possible to work?

Question 2.  If this is not the case, what inkjet is guaranteed to work with V64, as well as WIn 7 when it comes out?

    Can anyone help?

Install the hotfix as described in thie link

  • I am owner of a photosmart b9180, red head stepchild of it's hp

Each article in the mag of each pc has always said 'buy the best printer, you can, you will save money long term supplies. "

I bet they never possessed the b9180, lol. I paid $695 for the printer.

To fill it with ink, it's 8 cartridges to $38.95 each, about $320. for the ink.

I am the owner of a large scale, and when the cartridges tell the printer it is empty & it stops printing, I always weigh the cartridges "empty."

There is still a difference of 10-15 grams of these empty cartridges, does not make sense.

Last week I get an error message - can not print, replace print heads 1.

So I call hp, buy the new printhead, install it & guess what?
I get a message that 2 other heads need to be replaced.

So I call hp & order the remaining 3 print heads, b/c I don't want to install the 2 that were defective and then send a message to

    replace the fourth & final.

So I install the other 3 print heads, the printer goes by it's half hour wake-up routine, alignments, calibrations etc.

Now, when the problem started last week I had all the cartridges installed new ink, but could be sent print head cleanings, deep print head cleaning, alignments & calibrations on the old printheads do when I installed the first new Printhead and then do it again when I installed the 3 other new faces almost all of the cartridges were empty.

So I get another set of new hp cartridges, put em, and then I get a message that my gray cartridge, which is 5 minutes old is 'missing, damaged or empty. I want to kill myself.

Now technical support told me that these print heads are designed for the last 18 months. Are you serious?
I bet that little tid bit was not in their advertising and marketing brochures. Let me see--spend $600-700 for the printer,

spend $ 320 whenever you need new ink and after only 18 months, replace the printheads for $240.

What can I do? Someone already told to use it as a boat anchor, so propose something else.

    I have also the 8550 wide format & b209 photosmart all-in-one. I bought these 2 printers 8 months ago b/c I'm tired of

What cost to fill the b9180. The ink for the other 2 printers is reasonable, they both take the same cartridge, so it is for me a little flexability.

Technical support told me that they sell me their new 7500 full-size all-in-one for $166, to compensate for the b9180.

I said Hey guys, your website, there for $179. where is the deal? And I told them that I recently bought the 8550 & b209 b/c right hp did not have a large format all-in-one. They want to sell me a full-size all-in-one. Nice, but then what do I do with the 8550 & b209? Everything I want technical support is to make labour 9180 but they tell me it's printer failure.

Failure of the printer? A printer for $650 with a value of $240 of new faces for printing and $ 320 of new ink and the failure of the printer.

My heart is ready to fail.

    Can someone help me please.

BTW, I have also 2 13 year old office jet 722 c and NEVER had a problem with them. Only hp has not written drivers for windows 7 so I can only use them with my windows xp system.

[snip] BTW, I have also 2 13 year old office jet 722 c and NEVER had a problem with them. Only hp has not written drivers for windows 7 so I can only use them with my windows xp system.

There are Windows 7 drivers for the printer Deskjet 722C (720 series), they were written by HP and are delivered through Windows Update.  If you have the Deskjet 722 connected to your XP machine you could share and then follow these steps: on the Windows 7 machine go devices and printers folder, add a printer, a local printer, create a Port, Local Port, \\Computername\Printername (use the name of the actual share of the computer and the printer), OK, and then click Windows Update and select HP for the manufacturer and HP Deskjet 720C.

If you have a 64 bit version of Windows 7, you need to apply the patch here.

  • Printer port configured incorrectly, how to remove or reconfigure

I am setting up a new system of Windows 7 Home premium and made a mistake when setting up the new machine to access one of my existing home network printers. I have incorrectly set up a new printer port and need to know how to remove it.  When I try to install the network printer now (rightly), the wizard tells me to choose another port name because what I used already exists.  The port name is unique to my existing print server (DLink DP-G321) and should be used for this printer.  Can someone tell me how to remove the bad port configuration, or get the wizard you want to replace it?  I suspect that this may require a registry hack, which I have no problem to try with the correct instructions.  Thank you

The 720C will not work on x 64 machines.  I contacted HP in this regard.

  • Blocked ink jet

My printer is a DeskJet 720C, and my colour, HP1823 cartridge, an unused original, which has been stored for a while and is now out of warranty, it's completely blocks Magenta inkjet.  The Cyan and yellow jets have also blocked when I tried first, but soon, they flowed and printed as usual after a few minutes in a bath of hot water and rubbing alcohol.

A breath of air would help?  I could pull out the cartridge with me the next time one of my tires should be inflated!  Thank you!

Blowing air from an air compressor would probably damage the print head.  You could try the print head to an inch of very hot water for a few minutes, but most likely you will just need a new cartridge #23.

  • Using network Deskjet 722C Windows 7 problem

I have a 722C connected to a machine under WinXP SP3, this printer has been shared with another WinXP machine for several years.  I recently bought a HP laptop running Windows 7 Home Edition (64-bit), to which I am trying to add the shared printer.  After much trial and error, I have the Windows 7 set up machine to use the printer shared through the WinXP machine.  However, when I try to print, even the basic test page, nothing prints.  On the Windows 7 machine, the print job appears in the queue for the printer and the message print managed.  On the Windows XP-based computer, the work appears in the queue for a brief moment and then disappears, no error message, but without actually printing.  There is no activity on the printer itself.

I started to study this problem with Microsoft technical support, but the comments, I thought it's a driver problem with the HP Deskjet 722C (actually using the 720C driver).  Is there a known issue with the driver on the 64-bit Windows 7 OS?  Is there a solution?  My printer still works as expected with other machines on the network, but the impression of the laptop is dead in the water, and after hours of effort.  Any help would be appreciated.

There's a patch here which solves the problem of the spooler crashing into the 64-bit Vista or Windows 7.
