I am owner of a photosmart b9180, red head stepchild of it's hp

Each article in the mag of each pc has always said 'buy the best printer, you can, you will save money long term supplies. "

I bet they never possessed the b9180, lol. I paid $695 for the printer.

To fill it with ink, it's 8 cartridges to $38.95 each, about $320. for the ink.

I am the owner of a large scale, and when the cartridges tell the printer it is empty & it stops printing, I always weigh the cartridges "empty."

There is still a difference of 10-15 grams of these empty cartridges, does not make sense.

Last week I get an error message - can not print, replace print heads 1.

So I call hp, buy the new printhead, install it & guess what?
I get a message that 2 other heads need to be replaced.

So I call hp & order the remaining 3 print heads, b/c I don't want to install the 2 that were defective and then send a message to

replace the fourth & final.

So I install the other 3 print heads, the printer goes by it's half hour wake-up routine, alignments, calibrations etc.

Now, when the problem started last week I had all the cartridges installed new ink, but could be sent print head cleanings, deep print head cleaning, alignments & calibrations on the old printheads do when I installed the first new Printhead and then do it again when I installed the 3 other new faces almost all of the cartridges were empty.

So I get another set of new hp cartridges, put em, and then I get a message that my gray cartridge, which is 5 minutes old is 'missing, damaged or empty. I want to kill myself.

Now technical support told me that these print heads are designed for the last 18 months. Are you serious?
I bet that little tid bit was not in their advertising and marketing brochures. Let me see--spend $600-700 for the printer,

spend $ 320 whenever you need new ink and after only 18 months, replace the printheads for $240.

What can I do? Someone already told to use it as a boat anchor, so propose something else.

I have also the 8550 wide format & b209 photosmart all-in-one. I bought these 2 printers 8 months ago b/c I'm tired of

What cost to fill the b9180. The ink for the other 2 printers is reasonable, they both take the same cartridge, so it is for me a little flexability.

Technical support told me that they sell me their new 7500 full-size all-in-one for $166, to compensate for the b9180.

I said Hey guys, your website, there for $179. where is the deal? And I told them that I recently bought the 8550 & b209 b/c right hp did not have a large format all-in-one. They want to sell me a full-size all-in-one. Nice, but then what do I do with the 8550 & b209? Everything I want technical support is to make labour 9180 but they tell me it's printer failure.

Failure of the printer? A printer for $650 with a value of $240 of new faces for printing and $ 320 of new ink and the failure of the printer.

My heart is ready to fail.

Can someone help me please.

BTW, I have also 2 13 year old office jet 722 c and NEVER had a problem with them. Only hp has not written drivers for windows 7 so I can only use them with my windows xp system.

There are Windows 7 drivers for the printer Deskjet 722C (720 series), they were written by HP and are delivered through Windows Update.  If you have the Deskjet 722 connected to your XP machine you could share and then follow these steps: on the Windows 7 machine go devices and printers folder, add a printer, a local printer, create a Port, Local Port, \\Computername\Printername (use the name of the actual share of the computer and the printer), OK, and then click Windows Update and select HP for the manufacturer and HP Deskjet 720C.

If you have a 64 bit version of Windows 7, you need to apply the patch here.

    Hi all

the problem is caused by Apple update for HP Printer Drivers Version 2.7.

This isn't the only failure in this package. (I'm not sure if it's great to use this same update for Mac OS 10.6 and 10.7).

Of course to restore the folder 'hp' in/library/printers/to using Time Machine should solve the problem.

Clearer to solve the problem is to do following steps:

-Remove from the list of printers HP printers (System Preferences > print and fax (MacOS 10.6) / print and scan (Mac OS 10.7))

-Move the entire folder "hp" / Library/Printers/in trash

-Download and install HP drivers Update Version 2.6 from the following link:

    -Restart the Mac

-Add the printer in system preferences...

I would say that you have a serious print quality problem. This problem is caused by a faulty cartridge or print head has failed. I would like to start by trying the procedure described in the document below. If this does not work, try to do a hard reset. If it still does not work, try to do a partial reset. If the problem persists, replace the cartridge that is causing the problem. If it still does not after all this, the print head is probably bad, in which case you will need to replace the printer.

    http://goo.GL/1kSmu

    To do a hard reset:
    1. make sure that the printer is turned on.
    2. pull on the power cord from the printer.
    3. pull out the power cord from the wall.
    4. wait for 30 seconds.
    5. plug in the printer and turn it on.

    To make a partial reset:
    1. make sure that the printer is turned on.
    2. pull on the power cord from the printer.
    3. pull out the power cord from the wall.
    4. wait for 30 seconds.
5 connect the power supply cord inot the wall, but do not connect the printer.
    6. press 3 and # buttons.
    7. while now buttons, plug in the printer.
    8. when the lights come on, release the buttons.

  • Photosmart printer b110b head reference number

    Hello

Recently, I started facing problems printing with black cartridges. I faced this problem in the past and I was able to solve it by: re-aligningment of the cartridges and clean them several times. This time, this procedure does not work.

What I've noticed, is that only black cartridges do not work, those who do not color work.

I also noticed that there is a spill of black ink on the inside of the printer (the rail).

I tried to clean the head printer as advised in the forum:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/Ink-toner-cartridge-printhead-issues/HP-6500-Office-Jet-E709a-black-PRI...

but the above does not work...

I took the printer HP authorized support partner and he told me that the print head needs to be replaced and that they DO NOT have it in stock...

My question is: what is the print head reference for my HP photosmart b110b and how can I order it?

    Please advise.

    Thank you

    Kind regards

  • Photosmart 5110: photosmart 5110

HP PhotoSmart 5110 is error message telling me to replace the print head.

This model is not a removable printhead.

It was working fine after having replaced the three color cartridges, but when a black cartridge needed to be replaced, the printer came with the error 0xc19a0042 - which seems to indicate that the print head needs to be replaced.  Put the old black cartride did not help.

Without a removable print head, how can I replace it?

All the carridges were original HP.

Tried unplugging the printer (all about) of both ends of the power cord - wall waited 20 seconds and plugged, then printer cord in.  Same error message.  This printer is not old enough to be worn, or it has been used a lot.

  • Photosmart 6520: 6520 Photosmart printer stopped printing black after changing the print cartridge

There was a similar position two years ago. After changing the cartiridge (564XL) black printing, the printer will not copy documents. He behaves as if I placed a blank sheet of paper on the glass. I can scan the document and print the .jpeg, but not the document. The print quality of everything else is mediocre - very light on blacks, even though the colors are fine. I ran through all the diagnostic tests and he told me that the printer is fine, although the black box on the diagnostic page is empty. The difference between my printer and the one in the previous post, it's mine is 18 months and longer warranty. It has been little used. In the previous post, none of the solutions have been proposed, but apparently HP has replaced the printer. Any suggestions, or is this device intended for scrap?

OK, I finally managed to finish the installation of the software and the driver for the printer HP B9180 Photosmart Pro.

For the possible benefit of future readers with similar problems, here are the steps I followed to resolve what turned out be a sequence of three problems probably not related.

    1. as stated above, the installation first stopped early in the process, due to the presence of Internet Explorer IE8 Beta 2, which I uninstalled it, then reinstalled IE7.

    2. now install only stopped at half-way, an "unexpected error", no additional information, but, fortunately, the installation process has survived enough to back ('uninstall') all the measures taken until.  This new problerm was healed (I guess) by chance, because during this time, I decided to do a process long chkdsk C:/r/v, and I saw the check disk program spend quite a few while on a certain files, reports, quite a few errors. Probably uninstall it IE8 and repetition hangs the installer HP left of the junk on the hard drive.

    3. now Setup progressed all the way to a network printer search; There, the program "seen" the B9180 printer, but then "failed to install" the printer. This third issue is resolved through a search of HP site, where exactly the same problem with Vista 64, and the tenacious owner discovered a parameter minor of the ESET NOD32 antivirus ('disable HTTP checking'), who was apparently through the installation process in exactly in the same way that the mine - and his solution worked for me also.

Thanks to HP for setting up this forum of the community, and thanks to the previous problems whose kindness to make account of their problems and their solutions helped me solve mine.

  • ReadIris Pro 12

I would like to know why the owners of the Photosmart C7200 Series multifunction printers are not able to upgrade their software with ReadIris Pro 12.

If I understand correctly what you ask well, let me give you an analogy.

If a PC comes with an operating system, then the fact that a new operating system by the manufacturer of the operating system even has released a newer version does not mean that the owner of the new PC GET free OS.

If your printer was packaged with Readiris 10, the chances of your receiver 14 Readiris, which is the last free version of the program, is pretty thin.

    Hello

I want to improve my 4 GB RAM to 8 or 16 GB. I got the Acer Aspire v3 - 771 G - 73634G75Maii-> motherboard: Acer VA70_HC. Now, my question is: can I also enhance the MHz? I want 1600 MHz instead of 1333 MHz. do you think its good if it works, or do you think I should install 1333 MHz?

Welcome aboard, the red head redhead. It's a powerful rig you have there, and your Core i7 CPU could probably do it. But let me explain one of the secrets of dark of this technology.

With the exception of a few high end games, your computer does not have more than two gigabytes of RAM for a program. Now, because you have a variety of programs running in the background, you use more than 2 GB a large part of the time. But if you just add more RAM, you will not harm your machine, you will be able to do more (especially if you're playing high end games), and your laptop takes care of everything.

If you start using a different type of RAM, you will receive benefits little or not, and you could foul a really nice laptop.

  • Is there a successor to the BlackBerry Java platform?

    Hello.

It's been a while since RIM announced that API Java only be supported in BB10. Since then, they have released software development kits for:

    • SDK native (C/C++) and waterfalls (C + c++ / Qt)
    • HTML5 Webworks
    • Adobe AIR
    • Runtime Android

So, what would be the most similar to the current Java API platform for BB10? I think about things like:

    • Camera
    • NFC
    • Bluetooth
    • SQLite
    • A GUI Framework (screens, components, etc.)
    • Autorun at startup, background applications feature
    • GPS (listeners, geofencing)

    Thanks in advance.

RIM seems focused on the main platform being the NDK + waterfalls.

Adobe Air seems to be the red headed daughter-in-law who is left behind.

Android is the popular kid they keep around to look at more cost.

WebWorks seems to be more than a side project.

So yes, go with the NDK.
