Enterprise remote data deletion

Hello everyone, I'm still new in the it field. I got a year ago, with a degree of general partners of a school local tech. I'm currently studying for my Windows 8 cert. I read an e-book and came across remote deletion of corporate data. I was talking to a colleague who is interested and wants to learn more. I'm doing some research on this subject. What I understand users can use their smartphone or laptop and connect to the network/domain to access the data. If the laptop or the phone goes missing, we can use this tool to remotely wipe the device or temporarily to make the data on the device unusable. I understand that RBDR is using Exchange ActiveSync to management along with Active Directory for authentication. Many of our customers use Office 365, so everything is done in the cloud. I have done a lot of research on Google but have not found much RBDR except that it is. Can someone help me understand this tool or point me to a good article that explains a bit more in depth about how this works.

Any help is very appreciated. I'd like to understand what this tool and how it works.

Thank you.

Brandon

  • Steps of the DCI Get Enterprise Server Data

    After reading the online help regarding

    CIM get data of Enterprise Server and

    Define the procedure of data of Enterprise Server, I always

    do not understand how these two steps

    and how to use them. Can someone help

    explain what is the Enterprise Server domain

    and how to use these 2 steps? A few examples will be

    also be useful. Thank you!

    Hello

    Let me explain with an example.

    Assume that the call center is for the banking sector with the flow IVR as shown below

    ---> Start

    ---> Play invites (welcome to XYZ Bank)

    ---> Menu (press 1 for banks and 2 for credit card)

    ---> Output1

    ---> Get string of digits (enter the account number)

    ---> Other steps

    ---> Output2

    ---> Get string of digits (enter the number of credit)

    ---> Other steps

    ....

    IVR collects the account number or the caller's credit card number and provides information associated with the appellant. If the caller needs more information, they connect to the available agent. In order to provide detailed information to the appellant, the agent requires a/c or CC number. Since this information is already collected by the IVR, the same can be sent to the Agent and the data can be filled in the screen of enterprise data.

    To move these data values to the company data screen, use "Set Enterprise Data" step in the script. Correlatively, the configuration of business data must be done in the office administrator.

    Flow of use "Set Enterprise Data" is given below

    ---> Select resource (Set Connect property as 'No')

    ---> Selected

    ---> Set Enterprise Data

    ---> Connect

    ---> Queue

    Get the data of the company:

    Step to get Enterprise Server data allows to retrieve a field Enterprise Server and store it in a script variable.

    When a call is routed to an agent of the CIM with customized business data, the same will be skipped on the company information window. Agents can change the value of these fields in custom business data and transfer to the script of the aef. The script can retrieve these values using 'Get Enterprise Data"step.

    It will be useful.

    All the members (but 1) are removed from the entity dimension in planning and deployed to essbase.

    -What are the data deleted in essbase so?

    The data can be restored by restoring the entity dimension? EPMA the entity dimension is still in tact.

    It is unclear what exectly arrived, but looks like a change was made in the dimension entity planning (not EPMA) and then deployed (successfully).

    In essbase, we see that the entity dimension has only one member left for the appropriate plan types, as in the planning.

    If you remove members and then push that yes the essbase data is deleted, if you need back then you will need to go back to your restore process.

  • In the new synchronization is the option "overwrite local/remote data" driveway?

    I noticed that I can't decide if the synchronization must be connected server to the client, the client to the server or two-way. And I know it was an option (a must) with the previous version of synchronization (if I remember correctly 3 choices were available: download, upload and bidirectional). He is really gone? Maybe I just can't find it...

    If it is gone I guess this means that with the new synchronization, both sets of data are merged with no other option. If this is the case it is terrible news, as in the case of data 'settings' and even ' subject: config changes ", there is no way to merge this type of often contradictory data. And I certainly don't want to make a mess on my favorites that are mostly the same but a lot differently arranged, etc. renamed the 2 computers. A merger will duplicate more and replant those I had thrown and do not want. 'Data passwords' will also be a mess, "modules data" will be easy to fix manually.

    My setup is on computer A, I did a new install of Firefox with new settings, modules, bookmarks, passwords, etc... What I want is to synchronize computer B to this same account without it downloading THE data on the server synchronization. As I used to be able to do with the previous synchronization.

    If there is no way to do that I will have more than just delete my entire firefox profile on computer B (rmdir home/user/.mozilla), so I contaminate with stale data synchronization server. I want to avoid that, as it's a pain. There are a large number of settings, that I'll have to manually reconfigure as they are not synchronized among other reasons.

    If it is indeed gone, may I ask why the choice of any feature? Was it too bug?

    The user interface is not here now.

    The simplest thing to do: open the new profile, delete bookmarks stocks, clear the history you want to get rid of and remove saved passwords. If you want to also sync prefs and want to be completely sure that they are clear, remove the directory of the profile prefs.js.

    Voila: a wiping profile.

    Delete the contents of the directory of profile may or may not work; I do not recommend try you it.

  • Replication over 1 GB for remote data center links

    I Compellent LUN in a city and you want to replicate to a Compellent storage array in another city. We only link to 1 GB and 500 GB of data to be replicated. I guess an asynchronous replication would be necessary, but you should know how it will affect the traffic production on this link when replication is drawn. These off-peak hours do?

    You can use QOS on the HDS to mitigate network contention.  When configure you QOS, you choose your connection speed, and then if you enable the throttling you can choose up to time what percentage of replication of this link can be used.  It will use as much as you give so you should have an idea how much data 'regular' traffic consumes on the link and throttle below only if you want to make sure that you will not influence the movement of the production. BUT you should know that you can actually finish the repetitions in a reasonable amount of time. If this isn't the case, then you need to increase bandwidth or watch using a bandwidth optimizer that will compress/data deduplication until he goes on the wire.

    The choice between Async/Sync is a bandwidth issue, but especially Sync requires low latency, since the acknowledgement of receipt must be made prior to the remote SAN then before local SAN it goes back to the server.

  • Can I use a NAS as a remote data store

    I currently have 5 cisco ucs esxi hosts to my main place. I'm looking to get rid of the old servers to each smaller branch location. I was wondering if I could put a NAS at each branch and use the NAS to connect its main location esxi hosts remotely and use it as a data store.

    -Main branch therefore has all esxi hosts

    -Remote sites (10 of them, a few miles) place a NAS that will be the data to the site store.

    -L' idea is to keep the user data at each remote site and didn't browse the EXTENDED network

    If so, of the recommendations on a NAS?

    Welcome to the community - is that you're looking to virtualize servers of your remote sites - if you were to store virtual machines in remote offices you will be magnifying the amount of data flowing through the WAN connections - I store the VMs remote offices in the same location as the ESXi server that will host virtual machines

  • GPS data deleted when editing RAW files

    I recently bought a GPS receiver for my Nikon D7100, what records latitude, longitude etc., who appears in the photo EXIF data.

    However, when I change the RAW file in Lightroom (around 4.4) and save the file changed in jpeg format, GPS data has been deleted and will not locate automatically when downloaded from sites like Flickr.

    Is there a way I can keep the GPS data on the processed image?

    Thank you

    Thank you... the box is unchecked.

    I think that I have found a workaround.

    If I save the RAW edited/processed as a .tiff file it seems to preserve the GPS data embedded in the EXIF data and thus can be auto-situé in Flickr

    Hi all

    Need your help to clarify the following points of generics.

    1. I have a table with 10,00,000 lines. If I delete the 5,00,000 lines how it will improve performance.

    2 gathering stats on this table and index will help improve performance or should I export & import it.

    It will be only if you consider he didn't need to read as many blocks as before.
    As Justin said, if you rearrange the table, which resets the HWM, especially with full Table scans no performance improvement is acquired.

    >

    2 gathering stats on this table & index will help improve performance or I have to export & import it.

    If you delete 50% of the data in a table, I would surely be to reorganize/rebuild the table by means of an Import/Export or a

    SQL > ALTER TABLE MOVE.

    command. The last of them will rebuild the table in the same tables. There must be enough free space on the rebuilding of the index subsequently is necessary
    Then gather statistics on the re-created table. It will surely help boost performance.

    >

    3. If the same case is with Oracle 10 g, shrinking storage space after you remove the lines will be the same improvement as import and export will do in the event of 9i.

    I think you mean "narrowing of the table"?
    In my experience narrowing of the tables is very time consuming and brings a certain load on the database for a very long time. Especially if you're talking about the tables with millions of rows.
    Narrowing of a table is preferred only if the table cannot be taken offline, but I still prefer the «Alter table move» action

    4. What is the best way to purge/remove data from a large table (300 GB).

    Agree with Justin here. Use partitioning.
