As you change major versions (6-9), the complete installation program must be downloaded. Then, it must be verified and unpacked. Then to do room to write the new while the former is still partially around. He spells that require at least 6-7 GB of free space on the device for an Over The Air update to even have an inkling of a chance to succeed.

If you do using the iTunes program on a Mac (favorite), download, verification and unpacking occurs in the computer (which has usually a lot more resources than the phone), reducing needs about 1 to 2 GB free space.

A google search of the proposed problem that there is an error related to the number of times I can reinstall this product due to licensing issues.

Absolutely not. You're misinterpreting things. Activation does not happen when you simply run the installer, although later. This means that what he says - there is another 'install' pending / assets on your system, which means somewhere, there is a process (invisible) always blocking things. Whatever it is, since you have not provided any real technical info, we can not advise specifically. If you are using Windows, you can check your task manager and to terminate any process setup.exe and msiexec.exe more potentially will need to manually fix / remove some registry keys. What beyond this, you will be much more accurate.

  • Error code: 64 c (cannot install Silverlight)

    OP: Error 64 c
Microsoft Silverlight will install through Windows Update.

    Hi patrickstu1,
    Try the following steps:
    Step 1:

Manually install the stand-alone package for the update from Microsoft Download center and check if that helps.
    a. go to the Microsoft Download Center site, type the number of "KB" of the update in the download search box and then click OK.
    b. click on the download button and save the update to your desktop.
    c. When you are prompted, click open to install the update.
You can also view the steps in the link below, and then try to install the update:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/rpomeroy/archive/2008/06/10/how-to-manually-clean-up-a-bad-Silverlight-installation.aspx
    Step 2:
If you are using Windows 7, you can run the Windows Update utility that might help us diagnose the problem better.
Windows Update Troubleshooter would only work on Windows 7. Let us know operating installed on your computer.
Open the Windows Update troubleshooting tool:

  • Cannot install Silverlight (KB2690729) on my Windows XP machine. Suggestions?

As in the title of the post, cannot install the update of Silverlight on my windows machine.  Any suggestions?

    Hi takajo,.

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         You are able to install other updates successfully?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot state to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.

Method 3: You can also manually install updates (KB number) by downloading from the Microsoft Download Center.

  • Error 1603 when installing Adobe CS4 on Vista 64

I'm trying to install Adobe CS4 on Vista 64 and it fails to install with error 1603.  I went on the website of Adobe, and they said that the problem is a color profile file named "sRGB Color Space Profile.icm" claiming Adobe is locked, it cannot be changed.  Adobe has suggested that I use a "Unlocker" utility found on a 3rd party Web site, but McAfee is down this dangerous site.  So second suggestion of Adobe is to search on Microsoft a way to unlock this file.  I searched, I have not found anything that could unlock a file in Vista.  So, does anyone know how to unlock a file on Vista 64?  Does anyone know how to get around this installation problem?  Does anyone know how do I know what program has a locked file so that I can stop it?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I managed to solve this problem by following these steps:

    (1) open the control panel in Vista.

    (2) select the icon for color management.

    3) go to the Advanced tab

    (4) in my computer, using the device profile "sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1" which corresponds to the "sRGB Color Space Profile.icm" file
I changed this setting to use "sRGB virtual device model profile" instead of "sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1".»  (I don't know if ' profile of device model virtual sRGB "is available on the computer for everyone, but I don't think it's so important as long as it's not" sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1 "").

    (5) I have my case the "sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1" was also used as the default value for the system, so at the bottom of the window is a button says "Change default system" click on it.

    (6) then click on continue (you need to continue administrative privilege).

    (7) make the same changes as above for the device profile in this new window.

    (8) close these panels with the changes.

    (9) install Adobe CS4 (Yeh!).

    (10) after that, I went back the color management and set the default initial profile bot and system to "sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1.

At least it does the job for me.  I don't know how this will work for others.

I hope this helps, I lost a week of messing around with this thing.
