Error header when importing Wav files

The problem I'm facing is that first CS6 will not import my audio Wav files. When I try to import It gives the following message and is unable to import the file:

"Cannot open the file due to a header error".

The original audio file, which opened with happiness in FCP 7 (I'm at first project since a previous Final Cut Pro project) is in the following (as described in the film Inspector of QuickTime Player) format:

Linear PCM

16-bit little endian signed integer

2 channels

48000 Hz

Although the files will not open in first, they will open in Adobe Audition, which gives their 32 bit depth (it also describes the original as "16-bit little-endian" format - I admit that this technical aspect of audio files is clear to me).

Any suggestions of how I can coax first in import and opening these files?

Thank you, Andrew

After the opening of the hearing, re - save out them.  This should fix any errors of header.

  • Error when importing complete file with many newspapers

    Hello

I came across an error when you try to import an entire folder containing 118 newspapers (total size 63 MB), created by and imported to Signal Express 2012 (version 6.0.0).

After about 80 of them have been imported without any problem, error, indicated in the attached file, see.

The journal other files can be opened one by one after will have been delivered to market there is apparently no problem with files.

My path to the folder that contains the log files are 81 characters long. I also tried a shortest path with only 9 characters, but it did not help.

Looks like it's a bug in SE. Is there a solution?

    Concerning

    Jocke

It turned out to be a bug in SigX2012. SigX opened the TDMS file handle but could not close during the import. So when a loading 118 connects at some point, SigX reached the memory limit.

As for SigX2012, we have a solution for you. Newspapers, by half and each folder contains 59 newspapers. Launch SigX and import logs folder, and then save the recording project and exit SigX. SigX to restart and load the project you just save and import the other journal folder. Let me know if it works on your side.

Once again, thank you for reporting the bug to us.

What version of OSB are you using? Please download the schema (.xsd) files as well. WSDL has references to this pattern, but they are not downloaded from where this error. On sbconsole, if you click on a WSDL name to see a button comes with the name of "references Edit." Click on which points to the xsd, you downloaded.

  • Flash CS 6 is hard to import .wav files

Do not know what is happening with it but it does. Very CLEARLY a bug. If I drag the files in the library, it will give an error for each file but then once it has imported each of whom she will then ask me if I want to overright it and then reimport again. The audio is then ruined and cannot be used. It has been distorted to sound like static.

If I import one by one, it does the same thing. If I try to import them at the same time the program crashes.

The .wav files play well in any other program is not the files themselves. It's also repetitive.

The ONLY thing that works is to batch them convert to aif via the Media Encoder files but it is stupid to think that I must do this by default every time.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit with 8 GB of memory and an Intel Xeon processor clocked at 2.8 ghz

    • Solved my problem! Where someone is looking to this issue, the error occurs when you save a file hearing and select "include markers and other metadata" at the bottom that blocks the import every time for me. Unchecking this stupid thing corrects the mistake of import. It is reproducible on several computers in our office as well is indeed a fix.

  • Mac Mail will not create a file to import when importing .mbox files

I've recently moved from an old Mac Pro (2008) a new (end of 2013). Both are running El Capitan (OSX 10.11.2) and the latest version of the mail (9.2). My old machine was old enough, so I skipped using Migration Assistant and performed a clean installation.

I'm a graphic designer and, in the past, I always saved my emails into folders for each customer. When I finished work, I export it as a .mbox and check it in case I need to reference it later. If I need it later, I use "file > import mailboxes," select "import data since: Apple Mail," find the archived .mbox file and select it. " Mail lets know me that he has created a 'Import' folder, and there are my files.

When I migrated to my new Mac Pro, I exported all my open work files, copied to a drive can be removed and added to the new machine. When I use the method "file > Import Mailboxes" I have just detailed, the import dialog box reads: "You can find boxes imported into the folder named 'Import' in the list of mailboxes mailbox." However, no 'Import' folder is created.

I tried to leave Mail and reopening so to restart my Mac. I also tried to use "import data from: files in mbox.» In this case, I get a message that says: "error. No valid mbox file was found. »

Here's the kicker: I created a new folder of email on my new Mac Pro, email at random from being dumped and exported it. When I re-imported, Mail created a new 'Import' folder, just as it is supposed to. It seems that the problem only affects files that I brought over my old camera.

Any ideas I can try? I can still access my old Mac Pro if necessary.

  • Impossible to import wav files

I'm relatively new to working with captivate and is trying to import a .wav file into a slide. According to a book on Captivate logic of icon - it is said that captivate supports mp3 files and wav files. He said also that that once any, WAV files are converted to mp3 format. When I try to import a wav file I get a message that says "unable to decode and import the selected service/mp3 file. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thank you!

    Try this.
Open sound recorder in Windows (start > run > type sndrec32 and press enter)
Inside of sound recorder, click file > open and open the WAV file.
    Click file > save as
    Change... a button click
    Click OK
(Note that you really don't change anything)
Type a different file name, and then click Save.
Now try to import the new file name in Captivate.

  • Mail crashes when importing MBOX files

Mail crashes instantly when I select a MBOX file to be imported. In the brief moment before crashing it creates a folder to import and an MBOX, but the MBOX is empty.

A few days ago I had a MBOX to import. It appears in the Library/Mail/V3/boxes to the letters/folder, then the MBOX container keeps messages from work. However, this MBOX does not appear in the sidebar.

I went to a backup clone made shortly after the installation of El Capitan. I have replaced Mail and every file relating to mail that was in my user library. This leads to crashes instantly every time instead of intermittent partially blocks by an import.

I made a secure boot boot. The problem remains.

Reason 49 on why it is wrong to let the snow leopard. I wouldn't have moved to the Mail except that Outlook 2011 cannot search for emails or run unread simple as filters. (Recommendation from Microsoft is to buy Office 2016).

Any ideas on how to fix the post other than to reinstall El Capitan?

I have more information. I started in Snow Leopard and opened Mail 4.6. He had no problem importing the files MBOX to Outlook emails and attachments. I started to El Capitan. I deleted the folder/Library/Mail. I launched Mail 9.2. He created a new folder/Library/Mail that had obviously, no emails. I imported into the Mail 4.6 Mail folder. Everything imported perfectly. Yay! I then tested the capacity of 9.2 mail to import a MBOX to Outlook-created file small. Immediate crash.

I hope that the problem was that Outlook 2011 on El Capitan generates corrupt MBOX files, but appears not to be the case. They looked good in BBEdit. Outlook had no difficulty to import.

  • Add data in the header of a .wav file

    Hello guys,.

I seek your help for a small problem that I can't spend during my internship.

Here's what I want to do: I acquire signals that I write a .wav file. What I would do then is to reopen this .wav file and add data in the header, such as the sensitivity of the microphone for example. I am doing this is because it's one of our program of works, it can resume the pressure vs time signal using this information. I already have the hex code I need to add, but I was not able to determine if such a thing is possible or not after a day of research ideas would be greatly appreciated. I wonder if Matlab might do the trick but I prefer to stay with the 'normal '... screws

Thank you very much for your help.

To insert data into the middle of a file, you will need to rewrite the entire file after that point, as Gerd said in the linked post.  I would do the following:

    1. Search for the location you want to put your new piece
    2. Read 65 000 bytes from forward and store in a local cache (shift registers work well for this, or just a wire at this point).
    3. Write your new piece, taking note of how long it is
    4. Give your data buffered less the length of your new song
    5. Read a 65 000 other bytes and put it in a new buffer
    6. Write the end of the old buffer and a part of the new buffer until you get to 65 000 bytes
    7. Repeat 4 to 6 until you reach the end of the file
    8. Update the offsets in the header to match the new locations of piece, since you have moved things

You can probably do it with both data pads in a pair of registers at offset in a loop.  The 65 000 bytes is chosen for best performance.  You can use other sizes, but your speed can suffer.  Let us know if you encounter any problems.

So far, I have tried the following:

    ·         I have run CHKDSK on the drive. [chkdsk c: r], "CHKDSK" came back without error - the disk is a disk SSD

    ·         I also ran "sfc/scannow", she also returned without error.

    ·         I uninstalled all updates that occurred during the time that this came - tested, the computer and reinstalled them.

    Hello Greg,.

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

You did any hardware or software changes to your computer before the show.

Thank you for details on the question and your efforts to resolve.

This problem may occur because of the corrupted Windows files or incorrect registry settings.

To diagnose the problem, check if the problem occurs in safe mode.
    Refer to this article:
Start your computer in safe mode
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=Windows-7

Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

Please refer to the suggestions of Mr Andersen replied on September 4, 2010 and check the problem with folders.
    https://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-files/renaming-folders-causes-item-not-found-error-in/e2cf38c7-9e77-4256-89DE-6308df53d5f9

Note: Serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/back-up-registry#1TC=Windows-7

    I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

    Thank you

  • Error messages when you move files PSE13 and PSE14

I am reorganizing my records of PSE 14.1 (and a few hours before using the PES 13) on Windows 10. This means that I'm moving them from one disk to another using the view of folders on the left panel of the PES.

Everything goes very well with the first shift after the launch of PSE. No error message and the files in the folder find you in the right place with the folder.

But for much of the subsequent move there is several error message boxes that must be pressed one by one to move forward. Much more than the number of files involved. However, ultimately files and folders get into their expected places. But with dozens and dozens of needless (?) Click on the OK button.

Error messages that I see are

    • "A folder with the same name already exist in the requested location" - which is patently false, as I'm only moving called records and verifying that I won't have existing folders with the same name instead of the target. The record was 16 photos inside and the message popped up 55 times.
    • "The operation could not be performed. "The error occurred because of invalid characters, read only location or existing folder with the same name"-this comes very often after the message stated above, but not always. And in multiples as well.

And every now and then the move operation is going well through.

I tried to understand if there is a model - but nothing so far... I use no "special characters" in the filenames etc...

Is there another way to move the folders? Is there a solution to this behavior?

    juhar76990688 wrote:

Looks like I have at least found a way easier and more predictable and easier to reorganize my files: travel using Windows file / folder management tools-, then to reconnect files from PSE. In this way, I know how many dialog boxes, I need to treat every step - and it is much less than the way PES...

Yes, it was what I was going to suggest it.

I did not PSE14 because I'm away from home now. I've already met these messages before, and I think you are right that the first time you move a folder to a new empty destination tree, you do not have problems. I would not be surprised if there was a real bug in the display of folders when you move files repeatedly, but I was not able to reproduce the problem. A possible source of problems would be the way the folder hierarchy is updated in elements; I guess that to keep this folder updated tree, there is a procedure of "cache" to speed up the process (folders display in the tree should work with an image of the Explorer, supplemented by information in the catalog itself). Older versions were very buggy in folders view, but I'm not sure that the current version (since PSE11) is absolutely foolproof.

Move the folders step by step from the Explorer and reconnect immediately seem to be the best in your case.

    Hello

No problem with the LR 6.1, but now (LR6.4), it seems impossible to rename my files with a specific format (yyyy-dd-hhmmss and a suffix) importing memory cards. LR imports only files with names of origin. And I have a lot of files to rename...

I hope that someone knows what's going on.

    Jean

    Jean,

We found a similar question which is being implemented. If you shoot images at once in the first and jpg format and then import them using the option of renaming, the question is in place.

Could you please check if you use the option "make a second copy? If so, please it deselect. It should solve the problem.

The issue is addressed in Lightroom.

    Thank you
