• Error ODI (10.1.3.6) launches the Web Service of HPL

  I do turn a question with ODI version 10.1.3.6 when we pull data from BSE and then try to push planning. Everything works fine until it will launch the HPL webservice, ODI throws an error:

  "Error in the launch HPL Web Service

  "com.sunopsis.wsinvocation.SnpsWSInvocationException: java.lang.NullPointerException.

  The null pointer would seem to indicate that a value is missing, but I don't know where to look. Anyone have any ideas on how to increase the logging level or where I could find an answer?

  Thank you, we are in fact on 11.1.2.1.0 so that doesn't apply to my version, but we found the problem. After you run the epmsys_registry.sh tool, we found that the jdbc url for ERPi had changed to /SID from: SID meaning that he was looking for a service, not a SID. Don't know how it happened elsewhere, but after re - run the configtool.sh was all indented properly.

  I don't know if this is the right place to post this question, I develop software to support VMWare PCoIP and need to know how to get the host name of the physical machine (which manages the virtual machine and View Client) within a virtual machine before the user logs in Windows of the virtual machine.

  I understand there are two ways to read the host name, via the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Volatile Environment registry and environment variables, but they are available once the user is connected. I need info before the user connects.

  I'm trying to gather a workflow that will create a user in Active directory and then install SQL server using this account for the service.

  the format of the username I want is SQL_servername

  I use ' hostname = vm.guest.guestId; ' to remove the host name of the virtual machine, but it returns the domain (i.e. servername.domain.name) FULL name

  I tried various methods (rtrim, trim, righttrim, etc.) to remove the domain name to leave me with only the name server, but not appear to work.

  Is there a way of Orchestrator to delete the domain name, or is there another function, I should use to get the short server name.

  I'm currently on the Page Embedded Server (ESP), functionality of the LabVIEW webservices script and keep receiveing an error when you try to view a page.

  I think I put in place the Manager HTTP queries properly - buffered stream with headers

  The correct model is located and used as the page reaches the insertion point variable esp.

  I find that the AddressBook example works fine, unless I try and add an additional variable to the model, then the same error occurs.

  I have attached a sample project which shows the same behavior, and the error is less.

  Tested on LabVIEW 2014 (14.0.1 SP1) 32-bit on 64-bit Windows 7.

  I worked on your code today and we managed to reproduce and to fix the error you saw.

  The Web service name ESP file and rendering the page, but it throws the error because the variable you are trying to set was not properly declared. We managed to make the error go away by changing the file text with Notepad like this ESP.
