All you need is your charger - PA3822U-1ACA art number.

I don't know how to do where you live, but using this part number, you should be able to find some online store and order it for you. Make sure that you order exactly the same adapter with Toshiba logo on this subject.

  • Question about RAM expansion on satellite notebook

    Hi all

I am currently looking to upgrade the ram on a satellite notebook. I looked everywhere and couldn't find what model it is, the model number is PSA-00300C8J if that helps.

Now I looked and you can see that the laptop has only 192 MB of ram installed, this seems quite strange to me, I always thought that he came from very specific amounts, 256, 512, etc..

So what I want to know is-

Should what kind of ram I buy?
Can I put 2 gig in there?
How many sticks should I buy?
What can I do with the old RAM?
How much should I look for to pay?

  • Satellite M50 - charges the battery only when stopped

My Satellite M50 battery only when stopped. Does this mean that when I work I'm still running on batteries, which of course carry out completely after 1 to 2 hours. Then I shut down the computer and it started charging again (orange led), and after a few hours, I still have a 100% charged battery.

Of course, this means that the computer is not available. Until a few weeks ago it used to have the same problem if I disconnected the power plug then reconnected it: the battery needed to dump then to 0%, even if the power is connected, but now the problem is constant.

I've updated to the latest version of the BIOS, I could find and even completely reinstall windows from the recovery disks, but the problem is still there. The computer is a Toshiba Satellite M50 - 126 model PSM51E, the BIOS is Phoenix BIOS v2.10

Is it possible that the BIOS is damaged of some sort? I tried to reinstall V2.10 but he told me that I have the same version and it will not be installed.

    Hi lartech,.

You can recharge the battery if you get into the BIOS and made the battery charging icon light?
Are you using the original Toshiba AC/DC adapter and battery?

In the worst case, it s a malfunction of the motherboard, and you have done what you can do: BIOS update and to install Windows from the recovery disc. If this doesn't help s a bad hardware work.

  • Satellite L750 charging and the question of the random stop

    Hi all

Recently I had problems with my laptop Satellite load.

    The laptop is running Win7 64 bit and is a Satellite L750 PSK2YA - 0LN028

Now the problem is not that his load not but that he chooses to charge and no fees when he wants to. With the laptop plugged into current alternative to a real charger Toshiba (3.96 tested A 19.48V) the laptop charge for a minute or so normally with the animated icon (moving) in the set by saying "plugged in, load. Then all of a sudden the animation stops in the status bar, but it still says "plugged in, charging" 2 lights on the front of the laptop flashes orange simultaniusly (power and battery NOT AC led) and the computer will decide to drain itself of the battery, then stop without warning (with connected AC).

This will happen under simple highload AND webbrowsing. My dough said Toshiba PC health integrated program is 'good' and that CPU Temp is not more 70% and the fan works as it should. When I remove and reconnect the AC adapter it will stop blinking and start to load for a minute and then start all over again.

I tried to remove and reinstall the battery Module controller via Device Manager and Reset BIOS by disconnecting all power and hold for 30 seconds, these two methods do not fix my problem.

The computer still works on AC if the battery is removed and the only devices I plugged in a USB mouse that is NOT plugged into the slot of the USB3.

Any help would be greatly appreciated or if someone knows what that flashing lights twin mean on a table of errors, or something (because I can't find the online error codes). It's my first laptop and I bought this one thinking that I could do most of my stuff a desk would be, but it's just been a nightmare...

Thanks in advance, if you need more info let me know.

I recommend you test another, a good pile of work.
Not quite sure if he s really make a battery but in all cases of problems of load, the battery should be checked as well as another adapter.

  • Satellite A200: Charging problem

I have Toshiba Satellite A200 and recently I got some software with charging problems :(

When the battery is on 96-99% it does not start when I plug the charging cable (and says that the battery is at 100%).
If it is less than 96%, it starts to load, but it remains too long on 99% than before :(

Anyone who is familiar is what I need to do to start to load even if it is about 97% (for example :))?)

Have not observed this behavior management, but I can also say, that percentage is longer on 99 and then on others. Why, I don't know.
And I didn't look if he is in charge of 96, above or below.

I think it's normal and wouldn't call it a problem.

  • Satellite A60: charging problem

    Hey,.
I have a toshiba satellite A60 laptop. My laptop has 2 years. After that I used my laptop in battery mode, it fell because the battery was empty. When I plugged it on the net, the battery led flashed amber for less than a second and went back. The battery and the batteryled came out.

Windows detects the battery however. The laptop still continues to operate on the battery for a few minutes. I already had this problem about a year ago, and after a few months the battery began to charge again.

Someone at - it a simular problem and how do you solve?

Thanks (sorry for the bad English)

    Hello

Maybe the battery cannot load properly because he has a malfunction.
Generally, the battery performance decreases the extent of time.
I read that you can charge and discharge the battery about 500 times and then the performance breaks down.
You can try to remove the battery for a few times. After this time try to load it.
I also recommend check if this problem also occurs with a new battery.

But it is also possible that there is something wrong with the electronic power supply.
This could have a negative influence on the loading process.
I also read that the BIOS update have solved some problems of charging the battery.
But if charging the battery worked for 2 years, so I guess that the BIOS is ok.

However, check with a new battery.

  • Satellite L300 - charger causing the freezing

I have the Satellite L300 with 64-bit Windows 7 market. Computer works fine without charger. Charger charges the battery ok with the shutdown of the system. Charger charges the battery ok when running in safe mode.
Reinstalled operating system and the updated drivers that may be when the laptop is running on battery power.

If booting with charger plugged will start all the way until the end of the Welcome screen, then freezes. What exactly will change at this stage? Battery is fine until this charger is plugged in and then immediately freezes. Laptop can't or don't run without battery charger - freezes at welcome. Battery charger no problem as long as the same results with the same charger.

Toshiba tech suggested reinstall OS and drivers - DONE - No. difference nothing that changes cannot be made in safe mode or without charger attatched. By reading the forums looking for solutions, I find that many suffer from this problem and no definitive solution coming to hand. Toshiba seems very shy to attack this problem in general and my experience with them on the phone seemed to have my partner ducking and diving.

For me, the question seems to be in the distribution of electricity (hardware or software), but I've reached a point that someone with superior knowledge must take my hand to guide me. If anyone can help.

    Hey Buddy,

I assume you are using an original Toshiba AC/DC adapter, right? Or are you using a 3rd party charger?

I think Toshiba knows only what at this point where the laptop freezes will be available...

You have reinstalled Windows Toshiba Recovery disk or is it your own installation of Windows 7?
If so I would try the Toshiba Recovery disk Windows installation to ensure that the problem is not software or driver related. TOSHIBA recovery disk contains an image of the settings from the factory with all the drivers and tools.

This means that if the same error after the installation of recovery it s a hardware malfunction :(

  • Slow WLAN on my satellite notebook

    Hello

My wired desktop is fine, but when it connects to the internet over the wireless, my computer satellite phone is really slow! I've updated the WLAN drivers and it seemed to help, but I'm back to square one with the speed! Any help would be appreciated.

I had no problem like this before and the wireless internet has been slow for about a week now, but since the upgrade of drivers, it was Transiently faster. Do I have to update all the other drivers?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Usually an other updates are not necessary. I recommend you first check the advanced settings in the WLan card properties.

You can access the properties in Device Manager-> network-> (right click, properties) WLan card controller.
The Advanced tab offers different options that could help to achieve better performance of WLan.

  • Replacement of Toshiba Satellite A500 charger

The loader on my A500 must be replaced. Its specifications are:

    Part: PA3468E-1AC3
    Model: PA-1750-09
    Input: 100-240V / 50-60 Hz / 1.5 a.
    Output: 19V / 3. 95A

I have a spare from another PC Toshiba laptop whose specifications are below:

    Room: PA1650-02
    Model: PA3396E-1ACA
    Input: 100-200 v / 50-60 Hz / 1.6A
    Output: 19V / 3.42A / 65W

Is it safe to use it temporarily? I don't know how to replace the other constantly. I live outside of the USA / BEEN so unless I can find exactly that I need to think about buying a generic.

I also need to fix a flicker once but now dead monitor but it's another question...

I bought a new charger today so that solves this problem. I can put up another post on the screen flashes...

  • Satellite L850 - charger / battery problems, not normal...

    Hi all.

First post and all, I had a glance through to see if I can find my particular problem, and I don't think I can.

I posted this in another sub-forum, but then realized it's here... oops!

A L850. It will work fine on battery, but only supplies not the charger cable. Helpfully, a colleague also has an another L850 (I bought two together) so I can charge my battery of separately in his machine.

If I start the machine on a charged battery, it works fine. If you connect then the power adapter, the led is lit on the front of the machine, but it's clearly not load the machine works until the battery is flat and then turns off and will not turn on back until you charge the battery apart and put it back in.

Whenever the machine is powered, it also complains that the RTC battery is flat, and you will need to set the time in the BIOS. It is the coin cell CR2032 internally on the motherboard isn't?

what I don't understand, is that the unit understands clearly that the charger is plugged, as seers to say it is the battery. Except that it isn't, and is not to be unity. Œuvres battery for about 40 minutes of our days, after that, dead machine.

Any ideas? I suppose that there is something wrong with the internal charging circuit, but the fact that the LED lights up when it is plugged suggests otherwise...

    Thanks for all the ideas.

    David.

More information on this type of bit. When it is plugged in, the icon on the screen says "Plugged in, charge", but battery icon animates not charging about 10 seconds, then stops, and battery is clearly not charge as % drops away slowly.

I found a Google one of them is the "remove all, hold for 30 seconds, reconnect power. This made no difference. I also found advice to uninstall the battery from the device manager driver software and allow it to re - install. This done, still no different.

I got the hard drive and in a USB enclosure to retrieve all my files and am doing the 'factory restore' option I think that this is a restore hard disk partition. This work is far away, but in my opinion, is still running on battery only, so do not know if this is going to end!

  • Satellite U - charges only 45% battery, so how can I fix?

For the last year, my battery charged very well, about a month ago my battery suddenly charged only at 45%, which means that life is very short.

Does anyone know why this might be and how I can fix this problem?

    Hello

Can you also tell us what phone do you have?

As Akuma written perhaps the battery must be replaced. They can only be recharged about 500 times so I think that you have reached it.

You can get a new battery to an authorized service provider. On the Toshiba site is a list of people. You can contact the guy and ask for a new.

  • New Satellite A100 - charge the battery before turning on?

    Hello

I'm new in the world of laptops and I will get an entry level Toshiba A100
Today, however, I am worried as to the time, I first want to charge the battery for 8 or so hours before starting the machine for the first time?

I ask because I heard that you can compromise the ability to charge using the battery when it is
already low (the 1st time) and configuration of the laptop, is it true?

    Your help is very appreciated.

    See you soon

    Hello

The fact is that the new laptops also come with new batteries and the batteries are empty. All laptop manufacturers offer portable computers with batteries.
    It s not unusual State.
Of course, you can connect the AC adapter and start the laptop computer. While working on the laptop, the battery may charge.

    Hello

Looks like you need a new keyboard.

You can order all the compatible parts of the ASP from Toshiba in your country.
    Also the keyboard.

Service technicians could order the part directly from Toshiba.

Usually, the replacement of keyboard is not very difficult but if you have no experience in these replacements ASP assistance would be required.
