Everyone discover blank (black) screen & freeze after power and then reconnect?

I pulled the power, battery fully charged if computer remained on. When I reconnected it the power, the screen went blank (black). I tried to hit the SPACEBAR, move mouse, etc. in order to bring the screen back on. No joy. Fan has started, but no image of the screen. Had to stop or reverse to put the system up. Sure, windows said that he had known a bad close and asked if I wanted to start in SafeMode etc. Just start normally and windows went very well.

Laptop is a HP Envy 17 Windows 7 with SP1 applied.

Hello

Download the graphics driver on the link below Installer and save it on your desktop.

FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp52001-52500/sp52242.exe

Once the download is complete, right-click on the Setup program and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When you are done, reboot the laptop.

  • Windows Vista installation disc: Black screen with a cursor and then nothing happens

A blue screen appears when I try to start Windows and I'm trying to fix the computer through my installation disc I have. But when I try to run my Vista disk installation happening by loading the files fine. It then shows a black screen with a mouse cursor that moves. After that, nothing happens even if I leave it for hours to sit. It is a real disk Installation of Microsoft for Vista.

If a clean installation of a real Installation of Vista disc does not work, then you probably have some kind of hardware problem (and the blue screen, you got before makes this even more likely).  You can try to do some troubleshooting on your own hardware, but frankly you probably put "t have tools or spare parts to do very much.  Here are some instructions that may help:http://elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Hardware_Tshoot.

If this does not work, then I suggest that you take it to a repair shop of computer with a good reputation for the service where they can troubleshoot, diagnose, identify and possibly repair or replace the problem.  Before you import it in, I suggest that you protect your important data, as it is likely that they will wipe the hard drive clean in the process.  You can use Knoppix http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html with a good ISO as Copier: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm as well as a blank CD.  This should hopefully give you enough access to the system (if you do not have any other means) to backup your important data.  Otherwise, slave the drive to another computer and copy the data in this way.

I'm sorry, we can not help more, but from your description there is no option of software if you do not have to do a clean install of an Installation of Vista genuine disc.

    I hope this helps.

Because this means that you can see the Toshiba splash screen at the start then the screen turns white?
You see something on the external monitor? If you didn t test this situation, please do

I don t think that the display is affected, since you can see the Toshiba homepage
Not sure about the GPU but I think is GPU would be affected, then the Toshiba start screen would not be visible too. In your case, it is

    Well, try this work around:
-Remove the battery and AC adapter
-Press the power button / stop along 30 sec
-Bring the two parties together and try to turn on the unit.

You can also check if one of the memory modules may cause this
In this case, you must remove a module and must test the laptop using a module in each slot

  • black screen empty after update of lollipop!

My phone is: Z3 Compact Xperia

After updating my phone from 4.4.4 android. Lollipop 5.0.2 I get a blank black screen of House, and I can't access anything in the phone except notifications and settings when scrolling from top.
The 3 buttons below are there but do not work.

This happens randomly about 2 - 3 times daily for no specific reason and the only way to fix it is to reboot the phone by the power button, otherwise the update is great and everything works fine.

Someone knows how to fix this please?

    Hello guys,.

In fact, I did not apply the solution that I got scared to lose my data if I did.

But I noticed that this happens generally when I connect to wifi bluetooth or at home of my car... so I tried the apps no matter what behavior related to connecting to wireless networks and or has been disabled the uninstalled, and re-installed them.

    Guess what... It works beautifully!

applications that have been the cause of the problem:

    1. smart app lock (it was disabling the lock automatically when I connect to bluetooth auto)

    2. a built-in feature in the software, which is turn off wifi when I leave the House enabled by GPS I think.

but I have still some errors during calls, including why I could reconsider the system repair and can report this problem in an independent post.

I hope that could help someone...

  • Black screen persists after the recent update of the BIOS

    ENVY of HP TouchSmart M7-J010DX

    Hello

I recently received an update through HP who instructed me to update my BIOS, I did. Now, after I turn on my machine, I don't see is a black screen. The power light is on and the fan seems to work (I can feel the warmth of the event). I have a pretty good feeling that this recent BIOS update may have done something that has caused this, and I would like to cancel the updates to the BIOS, if possible.

I looked at and tried everything what I found on this page of the site of troubleshooting HP, except for the part of memory modules as I did of the latest changes to the memory modules. None of these suggestions helped with the black screen problem.

The machine was reconditioned at the factory, and I've had it for about a month, but began to use it recently. The only changes I have made are on the HARD drive: I recently picked up a new SSD, added to the machine and makes the HARD drive, the machine came with a secondary drive (after wiping). Everything worked perfectly well until the update to the BIOS.

I don't know what else I should do/try at this point.

    Any suggestions?

Hello Mrstenter and thank you for your response.

Unfortunately, I saw this page, you suggested before posting, tried and it doesn't work.

As a matter of fact, I had to return to HP for repair the machine. Following the conversation with a technical support engineer, we agreed that the problem is the update of the BIOS HP pushed out.

In short, the update of the BIOS HP pushed to brick my machine, and I had to send to HP to have restored it I couldn't find anything else to deal with the update of the BIOS on my own.

I appreciate your attempt to address the issue, however. I hope your solution helps others, but he couldn't help me.

  • Black screen, with toolbar frozen and no icons

original title: black screen, with toolbar frozen and no icons! :(

    Hello

my laptop (vista) recently has devloped a problem in which the Bureau during its connection, is black with no icons and a toolbar frozen. This PC can hang and will only work in safe mode. However, in safe mode, it is very slow, and yet I can not delete all the files, but I managed to save my personal files.

There is no current system restores for me to do, and I did the test of material, without known defects.

I also noticed when his connection, because I did not need to press on enter to type my password, the box is already open :/

Thanks in advance, I hope someone will have the answer to my problem :)

    Sam my setup is:

Medion M96350, Intel Core 2 Duo, T520 @1.5 - Ghz, Vista Home Premium

This also happens if you did a recent update of windows that has corrupted or have recently installed the new drivers on something that is causing a conflict.

I don't really know a final solution but her below can make the black screen disappear temporarily:

1-ctrl-alt-del to get to Task Manager
    2. go to the "Applications" tab
    3. a 'new task... ". »
    4 type "explorer.exe".

If the above get rid of the black screen, it is always likely that she will return when you then start the PC, but at least it can allow you to cancel any installation driver/updates to see if that solve the problem.

  • Computer has been slow to start, Blue Screen of Death appears and then it restarts.

    Original title: Restart the computer

    Hello

My old Compaq desktop computer has been slow to start in the morning and recently when I went to turn it on, it got stuck on the boot sequence, and it restarts just after the initial start-up. He never Windows logo or the login screen. I tried to use recovery disks of Lenovo's laptop of my husband as an attempt to get something to work on, but nothing helps, my computer continues to restart loop way. My daughter has tried to do something with the BIOS setting, which did not affect the issue. Rather than restart suddenly, the blue screen of death appears and then it restarts.

    Any help?

    Hello

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD (sale at retail or OEM integrators), which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • Blank (black) screen with the cursor of the mouse after the Welcome screen

I have search through forums and I see a lot of people is having this problem too, XP and Win7 users included, but it seems that more people is having this problem on Vista. None of the solutions have solved my problem, however. It does not show the option "Start Task Manager" when I press Ctrl + Alt + Delete. I tried to start safe mode, it is always the same. Since I was using OEM Acer, I don't have the Vista installation disc. My sister was having this problem on his Toshiba laptop too, but fixed because it was sent to Toshiba service. On the forums, some say it is a malware, some say that it happened after some update but I don't update or download anything yesterday. There looks like a major problem nowadays, please help us solve this problem!

    Hello

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe.

First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all patch is usually on a base hit or miss.
That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the

  • iPhone 6 Plus the screen freezes after updating iOS 9.3.1

I'm usually pretty lucky with the iOS updates, but as title the thread, just after the 9.3.1 update was on my iPhone 6, the touch screen now hangs at random times. I am a heavy user environment and this annoying screen freeze occurs at least twice a day, sometimes as much only 7 or 8 times with only hard buttons (home, power, volume) still operate. This never happened before the update, and the only issue is the soft reset option (home + power buttons). It is not only located in some applications, but it seems to be all that touch.

This becomes a real pain in the neck, especially when you write an e-mail or a text message with no way to save what is already written by copy - paste, I need of course the touchscreen to do. Is anyone else facing the same issue after than the iOS put 9.3.1 to level, and are there possible, patches although I strongly suspect that it is a software problem that only Apple can sort with a patch update?

    Thank you.

In my opinion I press my home button and wait for the blade to the turning off the option to display, then hold the button of your hold until turning the option off slider disappears. (This clears your cache).
