Example: Pavilion dv7-4142eo: Esata vs usb2 - manipulative?

My laptop has 3 usb2 port and an esata and I would be sure that esata is more quickly before you buy an esata hard drive box.

http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=emr_na-c02575528

Here, he mentioned "4 USB 2.0 ports (4th port shared with eSATA)" and «1 eSATA + USB port»  This means that using esata controller usb2 and I cannot get better transfer note with esata?

It's a shared port and if you connect an eSATA cable connects directly to the pci-e bus than eSATA. eSATA is a little faster than USB 2.0, so I would but eSATA has largely disappeared from computers recently in favor of USB 3.0, so you limit what you get out of the unit on the computer future upgrades. If you think you want to use the device in the future, I would like to get a box of USB 3.0 and eSATA no, even if you can find one that has two ports, if you look.

I have used Acronis and saved my old system to a 3.5 500 GB that I put in an Icybox with esata.

(Another method may be to use usb2 and clone the HDD of old to the SSD but with acronis and usb2, it would take 5 to 6 hours and so I have not tried this.)

The Acronis cd boot I found the SSD and Esata and restored the backup of the old harddrive (from esata) for the SSD.  It seemed to work fine, but when I tried to start without the boot cd, I got the message "insert a boot disk".

The I looked in the bios and could not find any hard disk (SSD).  Now, I'm out of ideas and hope for help here.

  • Pavilion DV7-1451nr: Wireless button stays amber

My pavilion dv7-1451nr turns wireless keyboard blue when I have to reset the motherboard by removing the battery and press the power button / stop seconds, after which I plug in charger to him while leaving the battery and press the power button / stop. After that, I would like to press f10 to enter the bios setup, then I would like to load the defaults, save and exit.

After doing all that I have explained above, the wireless button becomes blue and wireless assistant would be activated and indicates that the wireless is turned on. If I check in the Device Manager, I see the hardware details and driver wireless populated it and everything should work fine, but once I restart the computer, the wireless button would refuse to start. There is orange. If I try to check the State of the material status and driver WLAN on Device Manager, they would be is more filled it more and wireless assistant will refuse to start. If by chance he started, this would indicate that the wireless is turned off by the Device Manager.

I had tried uninstalling the wireless LAN driver and reinstalled just in case the problem came from the software side but not solution. Just this afternoon, I have decoupled from the computer and removed the card WLAN, dusted it and replace it back, but the problem persists.

The type of wireless network card is Atheros AR5007 802.11 b/g WiFi adapter. I noticed something this afternoon, however, after having checked the service manual for the computer, I realized that there is specific types of the wireless card compatible for specific regions. For example, the number of appropriate wlan spare parts which must be on my computer is 582564-002 and have this with references with the number of spare part of wlan on the wireless card available on my computer that begins with sps 452..., I realized something was wrong. I'll leave that to stop you guys from HP, but I really need a solution to this problem very fast because it's really annoying me. Thank you.

    Hello @LL_Cool_J,

    Thanks for the information!

I don't know what you mean, when he asked if the model is 50xx or 40xx. Confirming the WLAN Module is a little difficult, because there are several manuals maintenance for this model.  I was able to refine the selection a bit, by comparing the numbers of spare part for hard drives.  Based on this REPAIR, the WLAN Modules you have listed, 582564-002, 593836-001, must be compatible.  However, I don't see the Atheros as option in this manual.  To be on the safe side, you can contact our telephone support HP.  Please use the following http://www.hp.com/contacthp and create a folder for your question and contact HP. • Pavilion DV7 6b78us: How can I connect my HP RC1762307/01 to my Pavilion DV7 6b78us

How to connect my HP RC1762307/01 to my Pavilion DV7 laptop 6b78us?

    Hello

I think that HP RC1762307/01 is an IR transmitter. You need an IR receiver on you laprop. To find a receiver to match with the HP RC1762307/01 IR could be a challenge, because the receiver must know what are the commands from the transmitter.

My suggestion: buy a full new (your machine). This is an example:

DST: Fail indicates the hard disk is defective and must be replaced. If you are still in warranty HP will send a replacement. If this is not the case, a mobile retail SATA hard drive can be used. Just be sure to get a quality at least equal the original in order to use recovery disks. It may be big, but not small ability more. For example if you have a 500 GB hard drive you can use a 750 GB hard drive, but not a 320 GB hard drive.

  • Device drivers for pavilion dv7-1260us base system

Hello. I had a friend put the operating system windows 7 Home premium 64 bit on my computer hp laptop dv7-1260us. He had originally windows vista. Now, Miss me 3 basic systen drivers.  under 'other devices '.  All say bus PCI 8 under properties.  I don't know if I had a 64 or 32 bit operating system prior to this change. I had Windows Vista originally and, as mentioned, now I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Any suggestions? Thank you!!

Please use the Windows 7 drivers for your computer Entertainment Notebook PC, HP Pavilion dv7-1260us drivers page. For you current issue, you must install the JMB38X card reader driver from the drivers page.

After installing these drivers, you post "Hardware ID" Device Manager (just the text string) for all other devices missing or unknown as illustrated in the example below.
