• El Capitan 10.11.2 Apple Mail excessively high CPU

  I recently bought a brand new MacBook range with all updates. Equipping themselves with my 2 Gmail accounts in Apple Mail, I noticed the MacBook to start to run very slow and met a lot of spinning.

  I did a little digging to find out what could be the cause of the problem and found Apple Mail use about 200 ~ % CPU. My Gmail accounts have been configured as IMAP and have about 50 IMAP folders I use for archival purposes.

  This is due to the first seeds in El Capitan 10.11.2? who could potentially be solved in 10.11.3? Is that all knowledge in a way to help relieve the pressure on my MacBook to make it more usable?

• Apple Mail starts whenever I receive a new Message

  I own a MacBook Pro and have all updated as much as iOS and go my apps. Since the last update a week or two ago, Apple Mail opens by itself whenever I get a new email!

  This is very frustrating, because I quit Mail and then some time later a new email arrives and Mail again!

  If I understand your message when you receive a new email on your MacBook Pro, it opens the Mail application. In a situation like this, I recommend restarting your Mac in safe mode and then restarting normally again.

  Follow these steps to start in safe mode.

  1. Start or restart your Mac.
  2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
  3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

  After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.

  To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.

  Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

  Hello

  could someone explain to me why I have this problem and how to put it right.

  I use Apple mail with a Gmail account.

  I can not assign a priority to an individual e-mail message setting.

  I select:

  Message

  then: in the drop down menu choose: Message / Mark

  the 3 axes appear

  -As low priority

  -As normal priority

  -With a priority high

  are all 'grayed out' - I can't select all.

  Could it be a setting in my Gmail account, I need to change...?

• Keep changing to red all the flags in Apple Mail

  When I use indicators to tag messages in my Apple Mail app, they all end up going to red. It happens when I change to another folder and come back or after I exit and restart the application. I like to use different colors to remind me of emergency or to do or wait to do etc etc... It would be really useful to be able to use the different colors. If anyone has had this problem or knows how to fix?

  Thank you brining your color of flag of changing the questions here mail in Apple communities. I can offer some troubleshooting steps, but without having some information isolation for this issue, we cannot immediately solve.

  The first thing we need to know is if the problem occurs in Safe Mode and a Test user. Safe mode will tell us if the problem is related to an element start or plugins. A Test user will let us know if the problem is related to your account, or at the system level. For Sade Mode, please open this article: try safe mode if your Mac does not start-up. Once in Safe Mode, test and see if the problem still occurs. If this is the case, please go and make a Test user. You can make the user Test while you are using safe mode. How to test a question in another account on your Mac user. You will need to configure the e-mail account, download the mail and test here in the test user.

  Now use what we found of such isolation measures to solve your problem. If the problem occurs in Safe Mode and Test user, you can try to reinstall the OS and see if that helps. It will not destroy your personal data, but it is always recommended to have a backup using Time Machine in case of unforeseen problems. • Answer Apple Mail app error

  I have an annoying problem with the Apple Mail Application.

  When I want to reply to, or forward an email, instead of opening a window with the old email attached in order to continue the conversation, the application opens a new window of (empty) e-mail. Then, I can not remove this new email without closing the mail, at which point mail sends an error message. The only way to cure the problem and make the answer and the front buttons work properly is to restart the computer. It is a 6 month old MacBook Pro, with the current IOS installed. Problem persisted for a few months now.

• Apple Mail displays an incorrect number of unread messages

  Apple Mail on my iPad is connected to my account Hotmail from Microsoft. "I have e-mail boxes a decade in my Hotmail account (in addition to the standard"Inbox) "and Hotmail will sort my emails in each box, rules-based, I created.

  Several months ago, Apple mail started to display correctly the number of emails unread in one of my mailboxes. Recently, he began showing the number of emails unread in a second box incorrectly.   Looks like it's just your Apple's Mail application that shows the incorrect number of e-mails on your iPad. I would like to start by leaving the Mail app and the settings app:

  Force an app to close the iOS

  1. press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used.
  2. slide to the left to find the application you want to close.
  3. push upward on the overview of the application to close.

  When you have done that reboot the device and test again the question:

  iOS: switch off and on (restart) and reset

  If the problem persists then I would remove the account from the application settings, restart the iPad and try again:

  1. Delete the email account assigned from your device with these steps:
     1. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, calendars.
     2. Press the email account.
     3. Press to delete the account.
     4. Add your account again.

  I'm somehow more disk space on a mac air and I see GB 116 in my LIBRARY with 66 GB in support of the request, 14 GB and 29 GB in the Mail folder in the folder the user com.apple.mail.

• How to import Apple Mail to Outlook 2015?

  I just installed Office 2015 and I am trying to convert my Apple Mail files to Outlook 2015.  Mail Extractor Pro (as a trial) did not. Apple support has no documentation of Microsoft and has not been able to help. All my accounts (except one) are gmail, and configured in IMAP, so I'm more concerned with bringing more files I have saved locally on my computer.

  I don't know of a way of moving files between Mac Mail and Outlook, how I've done before is to create some folder on the mailbox Gmail IMAP and Gmail allows you to transfer emails. It will then be it synchronized via connection Gmail which will allow you to take the mails don't want in the mailbox gmail on a local store of Outlook and delete gmail.

  Mac and Outlook use a totally different way of local e-mail storage. The only thing that might work is to drag emails the deskop and drag them to Outlook? Not sure 100% if it will work, but it might be useful to give a go on one or two emails?

  I have a new e-mail account to a student who fails authentication always when I try to add to my Apple Mail on my Mac. I have the current OS of El Capitan. I talked to technical support at school, and he said he has never been able to get this working, apparently due to some problem with 2-factor of Apple. The account sets fine on my iOS devices, and although it is an address wgu.edu, it's actually a Google account.

  I reposted this request once the expected solution did not work.  I am repeatedly delete the same emails only to find many reappear and several times in the weeks after they have been deleted. I looked and changed that recommended such Mail preferences. I also used the "Clear deleted items" option on the mailbox, to try that, but emails are not permanently deleted it either.

  I have a smartphone sync to be able to read emails, too. Could be the problem?

  Assuming you are using Gmail, it has a strange behavior of default delete messages 3 times in order to make them disappear.

  Please describe your settings in Mail to the behavior of the mailbox to the trash? (stored on the server, etc.)
